Lake Shawnee

Great fishing options around this beautiful lake…Blue Gill and small mouth Bass plus Channel Cats. This lake is a jewel in the midst of Topeka! We needed to extend our camping stay and they were more than helpful…even finding a discount that could be applied. Forever grateful.

Beautiful lake. Without a marina to fill up your boat, I just can't give it five stars. But what a beautiful place to hang out in our boat.

Stopped to picnic and fish with a friend. It was a beautiful summer day and the park/lake was awesome. Very clean, not too crowded. Didn't catch any fish but enjoyed the view. Bathrooms were clean and had toilet paper too. Would have given 5 stars if i caught a fish.

This park is a beautiful place to go. The flowers and trees are amazing. There are a lot of picnic table to be enjoyed, ducks and geese, as well as many other birds. Docks to walk on or fish from. And a huge walking/ biking trail that goes completely around the lake. I think the trail is 6 miles. I love looking at the flowers, they smell so good. We have picniced in the are a few times and walked the trail. Once we were picnicking and doing homework when we saw a group of baby ducks, they were so adorable.

Beautiful area! Great trails for a good jog/run

We’re full time RV’ers and this park rates #1, and we’ve seen a ton of gorgeous parks. Beautifully maintained, excellent paved walking/biking/running trails around the entire lake. I’m guessing 10 miles +\- that we enjoyed daily with our dog. There’s literally something for everyone. These pictures barely do it justice!

Beautiful lake. Very relaxing atmosphere! Family friendly!

This is a nice place to relax! Spacious sites for big rigs. Easy to get to.
