I just had the most delicious meal! The restaurant was so cozy and inviting, and the view of the lake was perfect. There was plenty of outdoor seating, which was perfect for enjoying the scenery. The service was excellent, and I felt very well taken care of. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a wonderful dining experience.

Google
First timers for our table..... may I say it was Splendid from host seating us, to our amazing serviceman/bartender waiting on us outside on Sunday. We were there for Pride festival, felt so welcome! FOOD was great, and my bloody mary was phenomenal.... ( I'm a bartender) muah chefs 💋... Thanks for a great time! Definitely be back more often...

Went with a group of 5 and had a really great time. Wide selection of beer, wine, cocktails and mocktails. Server was attentive without being a nuisance. Food was brought out quickly and professionally with multiple servers to assist. We didn't try the brushettas this time around but the ones brought to neighboring tables looked delicious! Prime rib on Sundays after 5.

I have enjoyed lunch and dinner several times but ate from the brunch menu which had several options I wanted to try. I Enjoyed the avocado bruschetta and the prime rib hash. I really liked the hash as it was light on potatoes and filled with tender prime rib and red peppers. The horseradish sauce was great. We had efficient servers and the food arrived quickly. We sat in the bar and I liked the decor, especially the hanging hops. We definitely will return for brunch and other meals.

Google
Delicious food, and the price is reasonable. This place looks new. Overall, a great place for quick lunch. Both fish and potato is on point. The crunch texture of the fired fish is unique. The gentleman serving the food was able to memorize our beer testing flight and food customize without paper. He is amazing.

Google
My daughter and I came in for a quick bite last November while I was getting my oil changed. Food was awesome and service was phenomenal. I couldn’t see The Seahawks from my seat, so the server offered to change the channel for the screen in front of me. Great place to catch a game!!! I love how they opened up the walls too! Can’t wait to come back and sit outside.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I was dropping my son off to meet some friends and decided to pop in for a bite. The restaurant was clean, and the vibe was lovely. The outside views were nice, and I thought the service was great. Prices were reasonable. I asked for a low-carb bruschetta and initially received only one. However, the waitress was kind enough to have the order remade, so I boxed the original to take home and share with my family. My son had the chicken sandwich with fries and thought it was one of the best chicken sandwiches he has had—and he is a super picky eater, so I was very happy about that. If you are visiting downtown lake Oswego I do highly recommend visiting Lakeview Taphouse.

Google
Came here for the first time the day before Christmas Eve. The atmosphere was great as well as the holiday decor. We sat at the bar, and had great service. It did take awhile to get another round of drinks, but the cocktails were great. We ordered the Blackened Mahi Mahi dinner and the potato cakes. Both dishes were very good and flavorful. Overall I would definitely return!

Yelp
So it's still new, but I've been twice. They seem to have it together already! The food is good! Not mind blowing but good food i would come back for. Servers are all amazing (especially Stacy and Mandy). First trip there it took a minute to get our drinks food but the second time was so much faster just three days later. I got the corn ribs (good!) the bruschetta board (fun and yummy) and the risotto. All tasted fresh :) I would skip the fondue. I got southwest salad my second trip, and the red peppers on there are very spicy. Be warned! It's new in lake o, so of course it's gonna be bussssyyyy. Indoors takes reservations, outdoors does not. I have not dined indoors yet, but it looks so beautiful inside. It's classy and a nice addition to the area. Outside welcomes dogs and staff is so accommodating and nice. I know I will enjoy coming here this summer.

Yelp
A shame. A failure. At first glance, things look promising. Little did I know the crusty stained paper menus I received when my friend and I sat at the bar would foreshadow the rest of my visit. For a Taphouse, the beer choices were ok--but definitely not great. We started with the fondue. It odd. The cheese was bland as could be and there was nothing for us to dip the fruit in the cheese with. Also, there was no heat to keep the cheese warm. It was fondue at all. It was an appetizer with a bland cheese dip. Onto our burgers. We both asked for medium. We both got extremely well done. We complained to the bartender of the overcooked food. Did he get the manager? No. Did he get and owner? No. He said the kitchen has been having problems and they are learning. Well-thanks for learning on my dime but I don't want piece of charcoal for $24. The last straw for me was the bartender being too lazy to clear anyone's plates from the bar. Honestly, it was disgusting. I'm not sure who he was expecting to do it-but her certainly did not want to do it. I eventually told him to take our dirty plates and he did. Seriously--we go to restraints for two reasons--service and food. This place gets an F on both. The kitchen needs training and the wait staff needs training. Will I be back? No. Will I tell my friends to avoid this place? Absolutely.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch here on Wednesday. The place has much better lighting than it did under the past company. We were impressed by the level of staffing. Many restaurants are struggling for help. And they were very responsive. (we were there during the lunch rush) Our drink and food orders were taken and filled quickly, efficiently and accurately. The food was very good BTW. We're familiar with their offerings from visiting the location in Vancouver. Can't wait to come back to have lunch outside on the plaza. Excellent for being open so recently

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was friendly, I would definitely go back! The menu had a lot of options and we enjoyed everything we ordered. My favorite was the bruschetta board; we got the 3 vegetarian versions and loved them all!

Yelp
Paid my first visit since it opened. I ordered Steak Frites. Came with "sidewinder" fries. I ordered the steak medium and it came exactly as I hoped. Steak was great and the fries were a new twist (no pun intended). Inside looks very spacious with a variety of booths and tables. The location is very convenient with parking structure next door. I returned on Sunday for brunch and had steaks and eggs, steak was cooked perfectly, and the eggs were spot on (over easy). Will definitely be returning to try other menu items.

Yelp
Props to the front of the house staff... they know how to take the reservation and hold the reservation! (If you know, you know). When we got there, the line was literally out the door and we thought... Oh no, we're gonna have to wait. But they had our table waiting for us, despite many people taking up their time and pointing out tables that "couldn't they have?" People!!! Varied menu, quite a few vegetarian options. We got the pastrami sandwich and flatbread, which you can choose three of. I wouldn't really call it flatbread per se, it was more like toast with toppers. But it was still really good. The french fries were very unique! I've never had fries like this before and normally I'm not a big french fry person, but I loved these. All of the staff seemed professional and relaxed, despite the frenzied atmosphere. Nice addition to LO.

Yelp
If it wasn't for the view it would be a 1 star. Food is VERY over-priced. quality was average at best. It was not very busy on a Saturday early evening and they had staff running over each other! Service was slow! We won't find our way back....You should do better.

Diane G.

Yelp
Had brunch and food was great. Wish they had mocha and cappuccino but otherwise wonderful service and atmosphere.

Kelly R.

Yelp
First of all, we understand that they are newly opened. I'm sure it will get better. That said, we had some issues: Fish and chips said 4 pieces on the menu. It came with 3 and we were told that's because they actually weigh the fish too a specific serving and then cut by hand. The coleslaw had no dressing. When asked, the server said it is a "light vinaigrette". The southwest salad was actually pretty delicious, but it included slices of really hot peppers. I thought they were bell peppers and bite into it. Holy moly!!!!!
google avatar

Blake Q.

Yelp
Already planning to go back next week. Really nice spot in the heart in LO! You would never know this is a new restaurant. They have seem to address all the concerns from the previous comments because our experience was great. Gavin was our server and 0 complaints. no long waits, the beer/bar was on time and the food was great! Onion rings are a really good starter, our table got some salads which were good, a burger which again, solid burger, and the mahi mahi tacos which I thought were some of the best around. The ice cream sandwich was also a nice gooey dessert. Highly recommend you try them out.
google avatar

Lucy A.

Yelp
The southwest salad was too spicy and I couldn't finish it. The description should mention that the red peppers are not bell peppers. I can eat a lot of spicy food, but this was just too spicy.

Yelp
Amazing new restaraunt. Joel was an amazing waiter!! Loved the new ambience of the building and was paired with even better food! Ranch was a solid 10/10. I could eat the French dip for dinner every night of the week.

Yelp
I've been there 3 times for lunch and two of three were terrible. The first one was fish and chips. The batter on the fish was very thick, dry and tasteless and the fish was overcooked. The second one was Chinese Chicken Salad. They put oil and vinegar on it instead of the slightly sweet Asian dressing. The third try was a chicken sandwich that needed salt but was still good. The inside of the restaurant is lovely and the service is great. I'll try again in a few weeks when they get the kinks out. It has promise.

Yelp
My husband and I have been here twice. The first time was April 1, 2024, which was their opening day. Service was good, as was the food (accept for the coleslaw which had NO taste at all). Recently, I had lunch there again, with a friend and the service was good and the food was good, as well. Everything we have ordered here is enough for 2 people and some of the dishes would feed 3 people. I guess this would be great for family's, as they could order just a few things and share, but it seems very wasteful to me. I am not a huge fan of sports pubs, but if I had to go to one, it would be this one.

Yelp
I Fought the Ribs and the Ribs Won. The "blackberry" ribs were essentially inedible. Ribs should be so tender that the meat melts off the bone. I had to have my husband (who is much taller than I am) cut the ribs apart, because his leverage is better. They were the least-cooked ribs I have ever had, and the "blackberry" sauce was a figment of the chef's imagination. They had a small amount of bland bottled sauce, and were served with tired, room-temperature, flavorless cole slaw, and frozen reheated onion rings. We ordered a second round of drinks during our meal, and they were so slow in coming that they became "dessert". Sorry, guys...you have to do better than this. I made reservations for this meal in honor of Father's Day. I was embarrassed.

Kelley L.

Yelp
My brunch was terrible. The meat in the prime rib hash was so hard to chew. The worst. We spent almost $100, and it was so not worth it.

Sally R.

Yelp
First issue: I phoned to make a reservation, which was painfully slow and left me feeling like I needed to check. Should have because when we arrived, you guessed it- no reservation! Manager got us a table. Server was great. Food was like any other chain. Nothing special or spectacular. VERY NOISY!!! Not cozy and conducive to a relaxin evening. Overall rating-- 6 out of 10. In short, will not be back.

Heather G.

Yelp
We just walked in for a table of 2 In the bar area. It was dead empty!. Every high top open and dining area was vacant. Hostess says it's a 45 min wait. Stupid emplyees are a result of stupid training turning business away. Also aweful sterile cold unimaginative ambiance. Sucha bummer we had high hopes!

James J.

Yelp
We tried Taphouse for first time for lunch on a Friday. First impression: ultra loud to the point that we were speaking very loud to each other across the table, adding to the noise. Tried the Boysenberry Lemonade cider: no taste of boysenberry or lemonade and cider was blah. Wedge salad was OK. I had fish and chips that were OK, although fries a bit weird. My wife is allergic to wheat and soy, couldn't have chicken wings (they are breaded), she could order a sandwich with a gluten free bun but side of fries is breaded and cooked in soy oil with option for a salad if you pay extra, so she had fish tacos but the fish was dry. Our server was very good and knowledgable trying her best to help my wife with gluten free and soy free alternatives. All in all, we won't be back.

Yelp
What a great atmosphere and wonderful food. We all loved our food and the service was exceptional!

Erin P.

Yelp
We came for lunch on Mother's Day and were able to get immediately seated without reservations. We were pleasantly surprised that we could order breakfast as well even though it was nearly 2 PM, and the brunch was fantastic. They were able to make the egg benedict with a gluten free bun. The menu had lots of options, so we're looking forward to coming back and trying out the scramble. One menu add could be a mean milkshake per my daughter... if we're looking at requests! The design inside is nice and light and contemporary. The Lakeview Taphouse did a good job at designing the space.

james w.

Yelp
Really good food, we had bruschetta for an appetizer and burgers. There were a lot of beers to choose from on the tap list and plenty of sports coverage in the bar area. We will be back!

Yelp
Food was fantastic, I had the Po boy sandwich, hubs had the steak frites. Decor was fresh, clean, modern looking. I liked how the TVs didn't overwhelm the space, but were present. I was also thankful for plenty of Nonalcoholic options for drinks including beers. Appears to be family friendly as well which is nice. Can't wait to come back for dinner!

TomandLeslie L.

Yelp
Give them some time to work out the kinks. It will be a great inexpensive LO hangout, a rarity. Patio closed which was disappointing, but hopefully opening soon. Stuck with a burger and the mini corn dogs, both tasty.

Leanne K.

Yelp
Very disappointed with everything but the service. Very friendly waiter and they seemed to have plenty of help despite what other reviewers have mentioned- in fact the food came out too fast, we had just started eating our salads when the main course was delivered. The food was so bland - we had the French dip and pastrami sandwiches and both were mediocre at best...hardly any meat on the french dip compared to the huge roll. The fries tasted as though they were fried in the same oil as the fish and tasted super fishy...it was also obvious that they were frozen- not what you expect from a restaurant charging the prices they are.

Judy R.

Yelp
The atmosphere is horrible. They have removed the wall between the restaurant and bar which has made the noise level when busy so loud you can't have a conversation. The wait staff on both of my visits is as not great. Today was the worst. The waitress would not ever acknowledge what you were saying to her, so there was no way of knowing if she heard. She came and tried to clear my plate when I was still eating! I had food in my hand. She never asked if we were finished. Just started billing us. Constantly interrupting us to remove items from our table. One other thing, the hostess didn't know where my party was sitting. She told me I would need to help her find them. A lot of firsts for me. Twice was enough. The food is marginal. Nothing I would ever come back for.

Yelp
I went to try Lakeview Taphouse as I am a longtime Lake Oswego resident. I made a reservation on the website for "Patio" for 4:15pm. Upon my entry I told the woman at the hostess stand our reservation and she replied that "they didn't do reservations on the patio". I replied with "Well, I just literally made the reservation." She said "no" and asked me to show her my confirmation email. I went to my email and I did mess up and select another day but the website clearly stated "Patio" for reservations. Overall her demeanor and customer service was appalling. I even told her she should not make people feel like a criminal for making a reservation on the patio. We were seated at the patio and our server was a very attentive and excellent server. The food was fine (not bad but not great). The view was great. But I doubt I will return because of the woman at hostess stand. Be forewarned. Don't make a reservation for the patio on the website. You will get in trouble.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Food was delicious and lots of options on the menu. Cheese curds and beerimisu were our groups FAVS! Service was stellar and bar staff were friendly! Restaurant spacious and next time we want to try the patio!

Mike B.

Yelp
My third time wasn't a charm, it's disappointing as it's close to my house. Long and short, business meeting, business partner took a bite and a wax paper lining was in his French Dip sandwich, it was yuck..would have thought they'd comp it but they didn't. They brought a new one but there wasn't any warm and fuzzy given. Oh well..

Julie S.

Yelp
We went on a very busy Friday night. We were seated promptly at our reserved time. The wait staff was very busy but very efficient. I had the French dip sandwich and it was delicious. The fries are great too and nicely crispy. Husband had the chicken salad and thought it needed more flavor, but ate every bite! The noise level in the restaurant was very high. I even moved my chair so we could sit close enough to hear each other. I will definitely be back when the patio opens!

Yelp
Service is bad, even for being new. Went there a few day ago to check it out, sat at the bar and a blonde male bartender completely ignored us. After about 20 mins we flagged him down and asked him to bring us a menu, then he forgot. And another server gave it to us. Then that server also forget about us. The bleached blonde bartender was talking to a redhead girl, she was drinking purple martini drink that was just flirting with him the entire time, probably his girlfriend, it wasn't busy at all. We were just ignored. Went there again tonight because we wanted to try the food, and she is a waitress with long brown hair, took about 15 mins to even come over, then we ordered some beers and an app. She took our food order, and we waited for about 2 hours, she came over once in those two hours to check on us, we got another beer, still waiting for our food but it never came. Then she gave us the bill. She forgot to even put in our dinner order. the server are forgetful or just don't care. I've opened two new breweries/restaurants before. If your staff are not properly trained don't put them in the floor, And ensure your server are competent enough to remember people orders or have them write down customers orders. And if she forgot, just tell the customer. Honesty is the best policy. Most people are understanding. The ambiance was nice, it would have been nicer if we actually got to eat dinner and wasn't snubbed both times we went there. Would give it another try in maybe a year if it's still around.

Megan M.

Yelp
Fabulous ambience and food and service and drinks! This is exactly what lake o needs! Enjoyed every single bite of food- burger was my favorite!!! Can't wait for summertime patio sesh!

Karol G.

Yelp
It was fun for the 6 of us to try the newest restaurant in town. After enjoying all our meals we all gave thumbs up, we'll go again. My French dip was very good with thicker slices of medium cooked beef (vs shredded well-done piles as so many places have) and a flavorful but not salty a jus. Was told my friends Fish & Chips was very good too! Service by Kyle was prompt and friendly. I'll look forward to sitting on the patio and trying the bar atmosphere as well. The big booth was comfortable and place was packed by the time we left, hope this place does well!

Sally R.

Yelp
Scratch my overall rating on previous review from 6 to 3! ...which is what I meant to type. Would not recommend this restaurant.
