Google
This is not airport food, this belongs on an exclusive weekend brunch menu at that new place you've been waiting to try, this is delicious! On my walk from F gates to C gates I happened to take a quick peek at the menu at Lake Wine. Josh happily informed me that they could have my order out in 5-10 minutes making this a no-brainer for a layover breakfast. I ordered the Rustic Bowl, eggs over prosciutto, tomatoes and arugula. My meal arrived quickly and after the first bite I knew this was not just a good stop but perhaps the best airport food I've experienced in decades of travel! Josh was fantastic, checking in and refilling my drink with a smile. He appeared with the check just as I was about to ask for it, making sure I was on my way to my connection. Overall, amazing food and wonderful service in a low-key atmosphere. This might make MSP a destination for layovers in the future!

Awesome fast friendly service and delicious menu. Their flat bread options are healthy and tasty. Highly recomended!

Google
Cute place at airport to have a glass of wine and share a flatbread or cheese board This last time the wines were not good at all, seemed like that had been opened for a while and served cold from fridge-? That said service was very good, The shared cheesecake was actually very tasty

Google
Beautiful bar ,even better service. I’m glad I spent my layover here with an amazing bartender,Josh he’s such a sweetheart. It’s my first time in this airport hopefully in the future my longer flights will lead me to a layover that brings me to Josh again :) his co worker is also a sweetheart :) 🥰😋

Google
Maybe the best sit-down at MSP? I had breakfast, and the Rustic Bowl was amazing. The only airport breakfast that I’ve felt was worth the $15. Plus, helpful and patient staff, clean space, great coffee.

Sat at 740 for breakfast. Fairly quiet. Lots of available seating and options to grab and go beverages & food. Sat at the bar and was greeted quickly w water and coffee ordered. Coffee $4 is mediocre at best and served w plastic creamer cups😟 Ordered poached egg toast for $14. Option to add prosciutto for $4 xtra. Poached eggs came more hard boiled than poached but still tasty. Tomatoes on toast were nice and ripe. Fresh fruit was nice raspberries, black berries and blueberries. Potatoes were good. Total bill $20.16 + $5 tip Would come back👍

Gabriel was awesome! The beer was cold and served in a sweet tall glass. Food is fast and on point, the flatbread was great. A must stop if you are flying through.

Yelp
I'm at a loss as to why I never wrote a review on Lake Wine Kitchen Bar. It's my favorite place to get a bite and a glass or two(lol) of wine while waiting for my flight. But we'll correct that right now. Located about in the middle of the Terminal 1 mall at MSP airport. Very good wine at a good price point. Especially being at a major airport. The service has always been on point and the food is as good or better than any airport I've been too. Always with a smile, and willing to make recommendations on wine and food. The Mediterranean Flatbread was amazing and you just have to give the Spanish Shrimp a try. Just delicious. A perfect place to unwind before your flight. Thank you Lake Wine Kitchen Bar for always making flying a delicious and delightful experience.

Yelp
What an awesome airport find! We had terrific service from a very friendly guy who seemed proud to be working at an airport restaurant, which is not something you see every day. And he has good reason to be proud. This restaurant is acting like it's not at an airport. Everything made in house. Wine selection is nice and not outrageously priced. My tummy really wanted something light, and how wonderful that they make a Sage Chicken Noodle Soup. It was a little saltier than I would have preferred, but just the light meal I was hoping for. Even the small pieces of bread with it were good. Husband loved his Mediterranean flatbread. I tasted it too and it was terrific. If you're in Terminal One at MSP and looking for a tasty way to pass some time, I very much recommend this.

Yelp
Only came for a drink. Nice they has flights of wine. They are a bit pushy on food, otherwise nice.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with our dinner during our layover. The service was very friendly, inviting, and quick! We started with the hummus which came with warm pita, carrots, and celery. We really enjoyed it and the portion was perfect for a small plate starter. For my dinner, I had the arugula salad. It was unique but I enjoyed it. The portion was generous and I added chicken for some extra protein. The price was very reasonable for an airport restaurant as well. The wine list looked great but we couldn't drink since we were working. We will stop in again on another MSP layover.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous food, service in a darling atmosphere! Interesting menu with beautiful food accompaniments. This is not airport food!

Yelp
A $15 wine flight in an airport? Unheard of! Not only was it an affordable deal, but the selection was unique and they were delicious! Great way to enjoy the trip and rest the nerves!

Yelp
One of the better airport restaurants. To the point I didn't even look for a lounge. 3 of us were taking United back home on the same week of the Microsoft debacle that caused a dumpster fire for many travelers. The food here is great- I've gotten their poached egg arugula salad with chicken twice now. A bit much on the dressing amount but otherwise, a fantastic and fresh salad. Also, who doesn't want wine while waiting for their flight, especially have a long work trip week. Service is always good. Our first visit was odd- almost every wine I asked for was not available. Weird for a place that calls itself a wine place and has a wine store.

Yelp
I came to this place as I was craving red wine, specifically Sangria. Turned out their menu did not have sangria so they offered to make me one. The drink turned out to be a mixed drink that tasted awful and nothing like wine. I asked for a re mixing it and making it less alcohol tasting they tried but it was still awful. I asked to change it with Pinot noir and they agreed. The bill came with extra charge for "the drink he had to pour away". I didn't drink whatever he made at all. I clearly asked for a replacement when I was still charged. I understand they are trying to make money but at least provide satisfying service. I don't recommend this place at all. Very deceptive people with low quality drinks and don't have a wide selection of wines either.

Yelp
Good, good, excellent service. I was not expecting that at the airport, but I will come here again

Yelp
Pros: Service is excellent, a small but arrived breakfast menu (can't speak to lunch/supper), at the MSP Airport Cons: Airport prices (/though not bad at all) Details: Due to some flight changes, I had a couple hours to kill. I was heading to a lounge but saw this place and stopped in. The highlight was the Service, specifically Bryan. Super nice and accommodating. It's a somewhat limited menu for breakfast but still a lot of variety. Another plus is they were playing 80s. The place was also super clean and comfortable. Plus, a full bar. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Erica L.

Yelp
The service was friendly and excellent. The food was even better. My husband got the banana French toast, and I got the toasted croissant sandwich with crispy prosciutto. The latte's were beautiful and tasty. Can't believe this place is in an airport!

Yelp
My go-to eating place when at the airport. Love the food. Always fresh & delicious. The service is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I did not have any food, but it looked fantastic and heard others commenting on the care this place puts into their 6 at an airport and affordable. Bartender was the very best with a true smile and glow which is great to see these days. Merci was her name...wonderful

Yelp
For an Airport Restaurant, the food is excellent and not too bad of a price. For soup, salad and a martini I paid $40. Very pretty bar and nice relaxed vibe, not noisy like some of the other sports bars in the airport. I was apprehensive at first. The menus were dirty and they seemed to be very short staffed. Like 3 guys running the whole restaurant. Service was slow, but the food was seasoned excellently, nice portion, home made and not processed. Loved the salad, have never had poached eggs on my salad before, it was quite good. Servers were down to earth and real despite being crazy busy and with not enough help.

Yelp
Daniel was amazing. Great recommendations for wine and very entertaining! Great place to stop before or between flights!

Yelp
Fast and friendly service. A moment to pause from a hurry, and enjoy yourself, if you have 45 minutes while you were at MSP.

Yelp
This is on the "light" menu! Yum and a muffin for the plane. Great spot for breakfast at the airport before a flight . . Prompt service. Easy listening music. Gotta feel good!

Yelp
Wonderful food and great wine! Plus great service. We will be back! Jack and Dianne

Yelp
Should be cool. But the food is mediocre at best. Shrimp so dry and hard it should hit the bin. Flatbreads with so many toppings you'll feel kind of sick. Overpriced wine. It's an airport, but they should have the basics covered. - Pre-arrange some wine flights - Have fresh bread - Keep the silverware cleaning in the kitchen

Yelp
For an airport sit down restaurant, Lake Wine Kitchen + Bar is a solid option. There's plenty of wine sips to enjoy along with charcuterie boards and a variety of sandwiches to enjoy. I went with the ciabatta sandwich which was warm brie, turkey, pears, dijon mustard, and baby arugula on a ciabatta bun, served with a side of orzo pasta salad which was very tasty. Service was pleasant and unobtrusive. It's easy to linger here if you have a long layover or grab a quick bite or something to go at their counter if you're in more of a hurry.
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
With a nice (nice?) long layover at MSP airport, I spent almost two hours of it at the Lake Wine Kitchen + Bar which is in the main shopping concourse of Terminal 1. Self-seating when I arrived, my service was very good as I went through a few beers and a lot of water. Great menu and with eyes bigger than belly, I ordered the FIVE cheese plate. The slate that arrived had goat cheese, blue cheese, brie, manchengo and white cheddar. Serious portions and the crackers and bread and cornichons and olives were perfect, even if I'm now back on my keto diet after a weekend in Italy. Really good stuff and the price was reasonable. I'd do this again. [Review 10736 overall, 504 of 2019.]

Yelp
Happy that the dinner was good here too. For airport food, the dishes are very well thought, prepared, and taste great! The shrimps were big and juicy. I enjoyed the combination of sweet honey with the spicy Cajun seasoning. The salmon was alright, but the herb orzo was the real star of the dish. The texture was a bit mushy but the flavor for the orzo was great and comfortable. Bartenders here are attentive and active! Great stop if you're at MSP

Yelp
I've eaten here before when traveling and not been disappointed until today. This isn't a "trash the place" review, rather, constructive criticism from someone who long ago used to work in hospitality. Ordered the Poached Egg Toast - 2 eggs, herb cream cheese, tomato, red onion, arugula, burnt onion vinaigrette served with rosemary potatoes. The eggs - one was poached hard, the other had about half the whites basically uncooked. Chef should have caught that, expediter should have caught that, server (who looked right at them when setting my plate) should have noticed. It was very obvious. No vinaigrette on it - anywhere. "Toast" was warm bread. It was good bread, but tough to cut as it was not crisp at all. Everything was under seasoned. No rosemary in the potatoes at all. Not even a hint of rosemary flavor. Good stuff - the tomato was one of best I've had in a restaurant in a long time, bowl of berries that were perfectly ripe and delicious. Service - two servers. One who greeted me (the one with the tattoo) who is obviously a seasoned server. Very pleasant, knows what she's doing, knows how to make it at least seem like she enjoys her job, and I think she actually does. Actual server - could have been her first day. Didn't know the menu. Dropped my food without asking if it looked OK. Never checked in with me once, despite walking past me about 2 dozen times while I ate. Please train her!! Ambiance - great. Very clean and organized. Music (not too loud) from the '80's which is my era, so that was a bonus. Overall, still a decent experience, and I'll be back. I never judge a restaurant on one experience, unless it's a complete disaster. This could have been an off day, new chef, new server.

Yelp
The manager, Dan, at the Minneapolis airport location was professional, courteous, and went above and beyond for me when I was struggling to find a location that would accept delta meal vouchers. Very impressed, will absolutely come back next time I fly out of Minneapolis airport.

Yelp
There are so many options for food and drinks at MSP but my favorite by far is Lake Wine. I have stopped many times here during my many three hour layovers and it really never disappoints. If you are up for a good deal get the wine samplers, which includes 3 small pours of wine for just $19. As for food I've had the pear and Gorgonzola flat bread which is just delectable! Great balance between salty and sweet, plus the flat bread itself is very good. Another favorite is the mushroom ravioli. It's chess filled ravioli topped with balsamic glaze, wild mushrooms and arugula. Not too heavy but very satisfying As for service, I've found that the servers here are very kind and attentive. They do not rush you and they're very patient. It's probably not the best restaurant inMSP to visit if you have just an hour layover but if you have just a tad bit long, def worth a visit!

Yelp
I was very sad to learn that Surdyk's Flights has closed. It was my favorite place to stop if I had time while laying over at MSP. Thankfully, travel for work wrapped up before they closed. Now I'm back on the road and was pleased to have a few hours between flights. Lake Wine Kitchen & Bar is a fantastic replacement. As with Surdyk's, there were many wine flight options. I chose the spicy red flight, one from Italy, one from France and one from California. I enjoyed each of the selections and chose the selection from Italy for a final glass. I was going to have dinner on the plane, so didn't want to eat too much. I opted for the three cheese plate, which came with olives, spicy mustard, little baby pickles, fruit and fruit compote. I ran out of bread and they brought me two more pieces, which was the perfect amount. Also, those last two pieces were warm and soft. Had they all been warm and soft I would have been quite the happy camper. I sat at the seating in the Mall walkway rather than sit inside the restaurant. I just seemed more inviting. There are plenty of places to plug in and charge devices. Also, lucky me, someone stopped in to play the piano, which is just to the end of the seating area. It was very enjoyable and relaxing. This is the type of place for which I will plan a longer layover so I can stop in, enjoy a bit to eat and a glass of wine, and relax.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant near the D concourse at MSP. Per my husband's recommendation, I enjoyed the fig and mushroom ravioli, plus a glass of Pinot Grigio. The ravioli was flavorful and the wine was aromatic, both of which I'd order again. The only downside is the service. It's seat-yourself, but despite the fact that I moved from a table to the bar, it still took several minutes to flag down an employee (the only one available kept checking on her other tables & avoiding eye contact). When I was finally noticed (with some surprise), my order was quickly taken (I also requested my check at that time too). I thankfully didn't have a long wait dog either my wine or entree. I would go back for the entree but not expect much for service, hence a lower rating.

Yelp
Nothing we tried was okay... Everything was above our expectations! Even my buddy's burger was a home run. We sat at the Bar, we had apps with or cocktail's. And, we forget his name. Guess we'll have to come back .
google avatar

Yelp
When you have a 9 hour layover, you drink wine! Or...at least that is what I do! I had a very long layover in the Minneapolis airport on my way to s trip of a lifetime. And it was time to treat yo'self! Erm...myself. Lake Wine Kitchen Plus Bar is in the mall-type area that connects several concourses. There is a storefront with seating inside, as well as quite a bit of seating in the middle of the walk way. Kudos to all servers at all the restaurants that have to people-dodge to deliver to those of us sitting out there! They have several options for wine flights, as well as wine by the glass or bottle. The food seems to mostly be small plates, but from what I recall was really good! Our server was funny and friendly and helped us to enjoy our visit even more that we already were! If I had time to kill and money to spend the next time I fly through Minneapolis, I would certainly come back here!

Yelp
This restaurant is located in terminal 1 in the Minneapolis airport. We stopped to pick up a bite before boarding a long flight. We took them to go as we didn't have a lot of time. The menu is somewhat limited but very interesting. Prices are about what someone should expect in an airport. I ordered the Naan and greens with a basaltic dressing. Yummy stuff, I'm glad I ordered it! My wife had the ciabatta and greens also with the basaltic dressing. Also very interesting and delicious. This place is worthy! I'll remember to stop in when traveling through.
google avatar

Nick M.

Yelp
Phenomenal find in a very nice airport! Super chill and food was excellent... our server was great and had great recommendations. It doesn't seem like you can go wrong here, but I enjoyed the spicy shrimp and the spinach salad, and my colleague got the soup du jour (French Onion... apparently it was the bomb!) and the ravioli got rave reviews too!
google avatar

Audrey S.

Yelp
When I was waiting for my flight I thought it would be fun to go check out a wine bar, but I was unimpressed with the service at this location. When the server came over to my table he said "ready to order" instead of introducing himself. At a fancy restaurant like this, I expect a bit more than this casual introduction. I asked the server for recommendations for wine and food and he had never tried any of the dishes or wines. I felt like I was blindly ordering food from the menu. Luckily the items I got were great, but I felt like the service I was paying for was not being met. My advice to the business owner would be to allow your employees the opportunity to try all of the different foods so they are able to give recommendations to the guests. For example, a cheese plate was on the menu and I asked what types of cheeses were offered and the server said "we have brie cheese." If you were going to offer a cheese plate, it's important to inform servers of what types of cold cuts you have.
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
Seriously, how is it possible to buy two bottles of wine for$10 in the airport? And they are good brand on top of it! I'm in love with this place. They get five stars for the price alone. Didn't eat here, but I wish I could have! It's in terminal 1 and centrally located by F and G. Not much else to say, but I'm coming here every single time I'm in MSP!
google avatar

Yelp
Hanging at the airport and needed a quick stop for some snack. Ordered the Spanish Shrimp under small plates. It came and looked very presentable. Shrimp was spicy and had honey or agave sauce. Perfect snack for one person. The wait was a bit longer than expected tho. At the airport, I expected service to alot more efficient since people have to catch their flights. One star off for the service. My friends had cheese cake and that took forever too, which is unnecessary since those are definitely pre-made. Overall, there are many more other options at this airport, I wouldn't come back again but would rather try other restaurants here.
google avatar

Yelp
What a drab, awful little breakfast. My wife got the "sausage frittata", a diminutive, dry, tasteless, pre-made, microwaved muffin-shaped egg thingy with about 1/16 of a sausage patty stuck in the top like a broken candle. On the menu, this was under "fresh-cracked eggs". I ordered the croque madame, which was a piece of purportedly sourdough bread with some fried ham, an overpoached egg with a hard yolk but still some runny areas of egg white (how do you even do that?), and an unremarkable Mornay sauce in place of the usual cheese, which at least helped swallow the dry and largely tasteless bread. The blackberries and blueberries on the plate were ok. The gentleman next to me needed to remind the waitress which toppings the menu said were going to be on his French toast since they were not there. As I paid the bill, i was actually looking forward to seeing what they might serve on the plane. At least the waitress was pleasant.
google avatar

Denise L.

Yelp
Grabbed their Lady Luck sandwich (but swapped turkey for ham - as I personally think turkey and brie is not a good combo) cold with a bag of the dutch crunch chips. Their pre-made sandwiches looked really yummy too. The sandwich was decent but the ciabatta bread was too dry and the sandwich needed more sauce.

Yelp
Always love to come here when I have a generous layover in MSP. It's not the cheapest spot in the airport, but I still love it. The food is always fresh and tasty, service is quick, and the "patio" space has plentiful power outlets making it a great spot to sit and get some work done while you wait/eat. I do feel the beverages are overpriced....lakewine serves nicer wines than typical airport restaurants, but $15.00 for the cheapest glass of Prosecco...? That seems pricey for one glass in my opinion. They do serve a "social" brewery Cider that is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone from out of town! It's local to Minneapolis so you can't get it anywhere else.
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
As far as airport fare goes, this is some of the best variety and prices you're going to find. This place could hold it's own against most restaurants outside of airports too. They have a fantastic wine selection by the glass and also offer the option to buy bottles from their market (to go). I got the marinated olives to start which were plentiful and delicious. I then got the mac and cheese with prosciutto - it was deliciously creamy and the prosciutto was a great savory addition. If you have some time before a flight, I'd recommend camping down here. They also had some amazing looking cheese boards that I wanted to try but was flying solo though they could substitute for an entree for one.
google avatar

Margarita B.

Yelp
The best place for breakfast in Minneapolis airport. My stomach felt so irritated from hotel food and coffee as I wondering around the airport when I saw the Haven which is Lake Wine. They have simple and wholesome menue. My poached egg toast was served on a bed of aragula and a side óf berries. I also ordered a fruit bowl which was fullof delicious blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries instead of slimy melon slices that pass for fruit salad in other places. The coffee was served in handsome cups and was strong The staff is friendly and efficient,

Yelp
Great find in MSP!! Love the Malbec I here that I had 2 orders of 6 oz which was $17 per glass. I enjoyed with chocolate soufflé like cake that has a warm ganache inside. YUM! I will definitely come back here for lunch. That wine ! So yum! I wish they sold the bottle. I have to find it!! Stop by this place. Great service. Lunch options look great. You forget you're in the airport. Trust!!

Yelp
I had an extra long layover at the Minneapolis airport and wanted something not so basic. Lake wine kitchen gave me just that. It was breakfast hour when I sat down, so their menu was a little limited. It wasn't too busy and the only waitress there managed everything pretty efficiently. I got the apple bacon flatbread. The size of the flatbread was surprisingly big. I didn't want to lug a to-go box around the airport so I forced myself to down the whole thing. It was a yummy struggle. The bread was crispy and pretty light for being bread. They were pretty generous with the bacon and you can actually taste the bacon pieces which is a plus. The apples didn't have much flavor but provided a nice crunchy texture. The herbs on it helped a lot to elevate and combine the different elements of the dish. Overall, not a bad airport breakfast and I'd totally go back.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Think of Lake Wine like an upscale Panera. I came here for lunch before my flight, and I ordered the chicken noodle soup and the ciabatta turkey sandwich. Both items were quite good. The sandwich especially had a nice amount of meat and tasty melted cheese. Prices were reasonable, too, compared to most other airport restaurants which have significant mark-ups. The service, on the other hand, was a bit disappointing. My waiter was friendly, but he was a bit slow, and he forgot one of the items I had ordered. I wasn't in a big rush to catch my flight, but if I had been, it would've been a problem. Overall not a remarkable meal, but a good one nonetheless. Visit Lake Wine if you're a soup, salad, and sandwich kind of person, and you'll have a good time.

Yelp
One of the nicer places to stop for a sit down meal in the MN airport. If you have a long-ish layover this is a great place to get a quality bite with a nice glass of wine-especially if you can expense it (not a cheap option)! The cheese board is generously arranged although they could offer more bread/crackers to pair. The portions are adequate and the connected wine shop is helpful if you need a last minute gift for a wine lover or something to bring to a gathering on the other end of your travels. The servers did not mind my two year old being in tow nor did they rush us out of our seating like some other eat-in areas do.

Yelp
Great place to go when in the airport! Good food, fresh bites, lots of delicious wine! Would return on future trips!

Yelp
This is the best place to grab delicious and healthy breakfast at MSP airport Terminal 1. I love the sausage Fritata.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast! Ordered the pouches egg and toast and my husband the oatmeal and they were both very tasty and fresh. Good service

Yelp
I made a quick stop here before my flight to Houston this past weekend. This place is in Terminal 1 of the Minneapolis St-Paul Airport. It's made to look up-scale-ish with a nice interior and fine dining-ish. Contemporary furnishings with a rustic appeal. The menu was some some classic Italian dishes as well as a few modified. They had a great deal when I looked at the menu. A flight of 3 wines within their categories for $18 (which I took advantage of) I loved the Razho Vina Verde. It was a Portuguese white. A clean crisp taste to start then followed with a splash of citrus and fruitiness and sparkle in your mouth at the end. It was great! I really liked it. The reminder of the wine makes me want to give this place 4 stars, but the food just wasn't impressive. I decided on the Wild Mushroom Ravioli. It was more personal preference I think which is why I didn't enjoy the dish. It was basically ricotta in raviolli topped with wild mushrooms that had been cooked in a sweet chocolate-ish sauce; topped with greens/arugula. The sauce itself was pretty sweet (I'm not a big fan of sweet food outside of deserts)..... I'm not sure if it's supposed to come this way, but the dish was lukewarm at best and cold if I'm being honest. Maybe a different temperature would've brought more flavor to the dish.... Good service though; I actually tipped 23% or something to that affect. I might try the place again if I had time, but the Meadows bakery place nearby is usually quality food-wise.

Yelp
This place was remarkably delicious! I get the Spanish shrimp, and it's tender, well-spiced, delicious. Plus, the wine pours are generous. Seating is plentiful, and the restaurant itself is spotless. I sometimes have to fly after an over night shift, and this place is so restaurant-like (and not airport-like) that I forget that I'm in airport at all. I love it! Plus, the waiters are so friendly, and my service is prompt; I can stay there 'til the last minute, and my check comes quickly enough that I don't have to worry about missing my boarding. Five stars!
