Golden Gaming now requires staff to show proof of vaccination or take weekly COVID tests | Eater Vegas

"Included in Golden Entertainment’s portfolio, this venue’s employees must either show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or present weekly negative tests under a newly announced company policy; no implementation timeframe was provided. The requirement matches similar directives applied to the owner’s other gaming locations." - Susan Stapleton

What happened to this RV resort? This place used to be to be amazing, but they have totally let the upkeep go. There are weeds and stickers everywhere, unmowed grass, broken shade structures. The beach used to be sandy and beautiful. I would pay double, even triple the price of a stay if they made it nice again. We used to come three to four times a year, but stopped coming for a few years and it’s totally gone down hill. Cattail weeds cover most of the exterior of the lake. The water can’t even be seen through them. Hire an activity director to plan some fun events to draw people in, a landscaping crew to bring back the beauty, and someone who can lead the team. This place could make so much money, and create memories for generations.

If you are looking for a nice RV Park to relax, I recommend this park. We go a few times a year in our travel trailer. It's quiet but you can still walk around the park and people will usually say hello to you. There is a small lake, geese and ducks.

Google
A quaint establishment staffed with friendly people that cater to you enjoyment. Not loud or over crowded. Convenient and accommodating. RV Park with excellent shade and services. Rooms available. Handicap and wheel chair on-site. Good food, dine in or take out... A+

Labor day 2025 Having a wonderful time with the family. Just really sad to see how badly the Lake side RV property is manage. The lake use to be beautiful, now a green swamp. The swimming pool has algae. Lot of projects unfinished with what seem to be landscaping issues probley why grass is dead and weed are thriving. Grass area around casino and main area is mowed and kept up but when you get into the RV park is sadly not maintained. Beautiful trees. Really kind of funny the management want you to submit pictures of your rig if 10 years or older when the park seems to allow people to live in park in some real children of the corn run down julopys. Lake Side Management get it together

David M.

Google
RV park only review!! Staff is super nice and very quiet park however this place has really gone downhill past few years. Pool is completely disgusting with algae. Will definitely be sending pics to health dept. When I informed the front desk the response was we have nothing to do with the pool but will contact that dept. She would not even go look at it Palapas at sand beach are all falling apart Sprinklers are broken and flood grills and chairs Will definitely explore other RV parks next time

Google
Don’t play here. These greedy operators have their machines juice to 75% on video poker. Every machine is calibrated to take as much as possible. No comps, no benefits. Just greed. Also I don’t gamble. I just inform

Google
Cigarette smoke is truly debilitating. It's hard to eat, hard to breathe, and I couldn't even be in the casino! They should regulate cigarette smoking; it's the only thing that spoils this beautiful place. After all, the place is very peaceful and safe, perfect for spending time with your RV.

Google
Not the greatest place to stay at, it's infested with ants, and they don't take care of it and expect you to take care of it for them. Had them crawling on me and waking me up in the middle of the night from their biting. Things break down constantly and aren't properly maintained, and the fish in the lake are unsafe to eat because they don't really maintain the lake either.

David

Yelp
the park has declined since Golden took over. Most of the grass has died, gopher holes and sand burrs in most sites, cat tails in lake block view of lake in many of the premium sites. They quit stocking the lake with fish. It is a shame to see the place decline

Kathy C.

Yelp
The RV Park is ok, thight slabs and a lot of full timer with christmas lights blinking all night. Casnio is datk and feels unfriendly. The restaurant is in need of training there staff. The waitress knew I had a 20% off coupon. Getting ready to pay and she says we can't use it due to our meal chose. If she would have told us at the beginning it would have been acceptable. We paid for our dinner, cash out and will never spend another dollar in this place.

Yelp
You can enjoy the view of the picture but that's about it. This park is so run down and not cared for. They give you wrist bands for the pool and to fish. However, all the locals use the pool and come fishing. Can't even use the pool as it's always full of locals. The grounds are awful. Sprinklers don't work. Dog park is full of poop as nobody cleans up. Cheap, but you get what you pay for. Would not recommend

Yelp
I enjoyed staying at this RV resort. They have a small pool, a big lake, frisbee golf and canoes / paddle boats to use and more. We we on site 31 and I think is the best site. Unfortunately, we're not able to pick our site when we book because I'd like to request 31 again. Unfortunately, the paddle boats were not available for use and I believe they mentioned that it won't be for the rest of the summer. The front desk worker was very nice and informative. I will for sure return and next time will be during the cooler weather and fishing tools.

Tina R.

Yelp
We have been coming to Lakeside RV for 15 years. The decline of this park over those years has been just so sad. We showed up this week and there's no grass, there's holes everywhere. You can't see the lake anymore because of the overgrown reeds. Wildlife now is minimal. just so sad of the decline of this park and their ownership. We will never come back here again.

Carrie N.

Yelp
Security not helpful. It was locked. Cut thru it. No video captured. We jane camped here over lady 3 years. Considering another cg next year

Jeff M.

Yelp
Traveling from Boise Idaho 40 ft DP with tow vehicle, we had reservations at Lakeside but was turned away because of a crack in the right upper corner of the windshield we picked up from Highway construction during our trip. It's not even visible while driving and hardly noticeable from outside but yes it's cracked. The person checking us in (Rose) was very friendly and apologetic but "REALLY?" not allowing us to stay because of an uncontrollable issue? WTF? It was very inconvenient to find another RV park last minute.

Yelp
The bones of this place is really good. The concept excellent. I believe that whoever originated this location, their vision was exquisite. However, the management is a little strong armed. The rules are the rules, there is no gray. The pool and hot tub facilities are fabulous. However, they don't open till 9 o'clock... in winter, it would be nice to hot tub early, and then you could actually get after your day. The propane, don't even go there. They have a large propane tank, but not enough help for it to be of any use. Make sure you're full up, once you're parked, you have no options. Again, the surroundings, the walking path all the way around the pond, the ducks landing on the pond the sunsets, gorgeous...... the guests that are accustomed to being here, very friendly very nice. Very secure location. Customer service is not something that the employees are familiar with.

Denise S.

Yelp
Refused to allow me to stay there since I have a van. The place wasn't half full. More residents than tourists. It was nice 5 or 6 years ago, but definitely not anymore. I had reservations for 2 nights. Guess my van wasn't up to their standards. ‍

Jill R.

Yelp
Restrooms are very clean! Sites are not well maintained. Lots of geese and ducks which are nice to look at from a distance but when a large group come running to your site thinking they will get a hand out and then poop everywhere NOT nice No we did not offer food Gophers digging holes at your site. Paddle boats in bad condition. Lake looks pretty but the walkway around is covered in goose poop so like walking in a mine field

Yelp
RACIST, They have racist people working the front desk. No greeting as we walked in the office we were simply told after booking a reservation online we were not allowed to stay there because our trailer did not meet their criteria. I asked the ladies up front to walk outside and we would gladly show them the registration and inside of our trailer and after traveling hours to get there and a reservation told we couldn't stay there. They lied and said they were the owner which they clearly weren't and were smirking and laughing as they were talking to us. They are truly unprofessional people and even when I told them they were making us feel bad they didn't seem to care. Reluctantly they agreed to let us stay after they saw that not even 6 months ago we had been allowed to stay there with great attitude. We declined the offer and went down the street where we found better customer service. I would not recommend this place and after reading the reviews can see why they are only 2 stars. Also after driving thru through the park saw trailers that looked similar to ours and even smaller that were not RV's. STAY AWAY FROM this place if you want to be treated poorly based on your race.

Yelp
Very nice camp ground. Beautiful views all around. Clean bathrooms. Waking distance to casino and Café from all spaces and Campground. The only downside is the grounds around the campsites have not been taken care of very well. Knee high weeds everywhere. And sprinklers get the whole campsite wet. And you want to bring your own table because not all spaces have them. And the spaces that do cost more. But all in all it's still one of the best campgrounds around here. And we will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We have been coming to this RV park since 2010, once or twice a year. We were excited to be planning my mom's 60 th birthday this weekend. Under my name we reserved three spots in the back left corner online. We were excited to kayak and boat, use the pool and fish. But all be together. Upon checking in- my mom was first and Rose told her we are all spread out through the park because I didn't call the day before. Which is not true i did try to call twice and there is never an answer. All the years coming never had an issue! She told my mom that with us bringing children, they've had a lot of problems so to watch them closely. Her tone was very rude and disrespectful! I called and by a miracle rose answered the phone. She was extremely rude to me! I was confused about them spreading us out and couldn't understand why they couldn't move us. No compassion, no kindness whatsoever ever from her in a customer service position. A nicer attitude would've gone a long way! We tried to walk by the water but the knats are so bad it wasn't worth it. The old play ground was gone. The kayaks were gone. We ended up walking the kids to the pool the next day around 11 am! There was so much goose poop on the decking and in the pool it was a hazard for sure. We ended up buying kiddie pools to keep cool. The sand on the little beach was gross and extremely dirty too. Looking around our space there were three - 4 perfect spots open the whole weekend. With picnic tables! Our spot didn't even come with one. The weeds are so over grown all over the grounds. It's a real shame it changed so much and is now a place we will not return! As far as Rose goes she's not someone I would want working and representing my business. Guess we got the best out of it all those years. Save yourself the disappointment.

Yelp
Park great , Cafe a definitely a no ' the grounds , Bathrooms and showers were great . Full hook ups were great . A little oasis away from home in Las Vegas . The office staff were great ! Plus the lake is full of stripped Bass and Bluegills. Just fun and catch and release to boot . Even seen several Turtles. Didn't use the pool and hot tub , but they looked clean .

Yelp
*** I went from happy glamper to PO'd glamper in less than 2 minutes *** OVERALL Having a good time anywhere at any given moment is one of my daily goals. But when a manager on duty chooses to be on a power trip, one's positive experience is likely to diminish drastically. ENVIRONMENT June 9-11, 2021 was my first stay here. I could tell right away that it was a little rundown. It could have been worse, but it could have easily been better. There is a large pond in the middle of the resort with a wrap around walking path. RV sites are somewhat spacious with picnic tables and a fire ring as well as hookups. A casino, cafe, swimming pool and hot tub are within reasonable walking distance. SERVICE I didn't care for the older female manager at all. She berated me about not having special orange bands on at the pool when my in-laws were told by another staff member that we didn't need them. She interrupted me three times with "who told you that?" when I was trying to tell her what site we were at and our name - that we weren't gypsies for crying out loud. Lol. There were a few other incidents with her, but you get the gist. It was all nonsensical and unnecessary seeing as how this is a prime vacation spot for elderly, retired folks and families. MY FAVORITE PART... How big the 3' swimming pool areas were. No COVID-19 worn by any guests. Staff members, yes. Such a different world than that of gestapo-like Greater Los Angeles. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... Said above manager's tactless reactions and responses plus all the bird crap from the water birds visiting the nearby pond. PARKING I'm not sure about the rules for extra overnight guests, however, my in-laws invited an uncle over for my birthday dinner. The max vehicles at our site was 2, so he had to park near the front desk. TIP The onsite market has small bags of ice for $3. An employee goes out to unlock the freezer after payment has been made. | Amenities: 3 | Service: 1 | Environment: 2 | Price: 3 |

Yelp
It's easy to get to. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. It's a nice little getaway!

Yelp
Super accommodating, lots to do. Rules seem strict but are relaxed, they got to keep things a certain way to keep the rip Raff out. Fishing allowed (barb less hooks) catch and release only. Yes there's lots of poop from ducks/geese but it's a lake. Book a weekend there and you won't regret it.

Yelp
Well At 6:40 my husband and I came in to ear So tonight, my husband and I decided to go to terrible Lakeside where we ordered a drink and a water. The waitress came back and said I'm sorry the bartender is not back there. She must've went on a smoke break. We all know that they're never gonna leave a bar and attended to go on a smoke break. So I went to the bar to find out what was going on the bartender the cocktail waitress and the patron said that's BS that everybody's there. I don't know what the deal is with this lady so we go back decide we're not going to get anything to eat because this is total BS, so we decide to leave to go back to her name so that I can report them to management and corporate only she won't give me her name and goes and gets security All I was asking was for her name the place is completely empty of patrons. Well, if this is a service that they've been getting from your establishment I totally can understand why you're not making any money there anymore. I talked to your cage gal to get your number This incident should be recorded in your incident log but if not, you can happily talk to your bartender, waitress and cage

William S.

Yelp
Steven is the bathroom attendant at the LAKESIDE RV CASINO. I have to commend this man. His care of the bathroom is just unbelievable. The floors are clean. The bathroom is odor free Steven I hope your boss see's this and commends you for being the reason we come back regularly to Lakeside cafe and if the bathrooms weren't clean then we would probably not come.

Yelp
Wow! Wow!!!! I left my expensive rv cord behind. Discovered my error 500 miles later! Contacted them and they had it in hand. They packaged it up and shipped it to me at no cost! Never expected such courtesy and service! THANK YOU TO THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT!!!!!

Yelp
We recently traded-up to a newer and larger travel trailer. The dealership include two (2) one-night stays at this RV Park. We are so glad they did because we love this place. We stayed for a total of 4 nights in a super premium site with a beachfront along the lake. So many birds call this lake home. While there were a ton of geese and gosling, we saw the maintenance staff doing an admirable job keeping the park clean. The adjacent casino, restaurant, store and gas station were definitely value adds. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The concrete pad was level and the utilities were all in excellent condition. We will definitely be back. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Travel Trailer. While the park-supplied WiFi was decent, we used our T-Mobile service to stream a couple of movies at night. The breakfast in the casino's restaurant was excellent (and discounted for RV guests). While in the Pahrump area, definitely check out Mom's Diner for comfort food, Romero's for great Mexican fare and Nicco's for delicious Italian pasta. These restaurants are all very affordable.

Yelp
Gonna give 'em a four only because of the hospitality. This is a locals joint with a few slots, a bar, a little restaurant and a bingo room. Played bingo which is hooked to the nugget. Got tired of hearing "winner lakeside" every game. Casino is small but cocktail service is prompt and often. Crowd was friendly and it wasn't too smoky. Usually go to the nugget but since they refuse to deal with the blackjack screwup (took everyone's bet on a misdeal, should have replayed the hand) we will give lakeside some business.

Denise H.

Yelp
This place has gone so down. This used to be such a beautiful fun place! No grass , dirt and holes . Boyd gaming needs to do something. It's horrible.

Daniel L.

Yelp
Great staff especially the players club and the bartenders all are very nice 5 stars for service. Zero stars for Golden Entertainment in over two years of living here in town they have done the bare minimum at best to deal with the air conditioning issue they have brought in a couple of swamp coolers to keep it cool but then do not have anyone there to maintain them to actually keep the place cool we went in today and it was hot and humid inside at least 90 degrees and none of the coolers were working that's a great way for your employees and patrons to get heat stroke shame on you Golden fix the ac ASAP d

Yelp
My family and our friends have been coming to this RV park for years and never had any issues. Our kids were always welcome to run and play and ride bikes. It used to be very family friendly but the last few times we have come it seems that the employees and the people who stay are nothing but miserable grouches who have nothing better to do than to complain on other campers. You can't play music, your kids can't ride their bikes without being yelled at, you can't gather next to your trailer to play games. It is basically a graveyard for the elderly with no life who just want quiet. My family and I are sad cause it was our favorite home away from home but now we won't be back. I'm so disappointed in what this place has become.

Robin G.

Yelp
We stayed at Lakeside RV Park June 17th - 19th. While the park was nice, the fact that the sprinklers went off at 8:30 pm both night of our stay, flooding our site, drenching all our belongings and us, was not great. And yes, we did report this to the office and the engineering dept, they didn't seem to care. Really made for a messy weekend since we have two dogs. Disappointed.

Yelp
The place is great And Beautiful for Famliy get together Wish we can stay one more week The place is very clean Customer service is great Will be back again

Yelp
Used to love this place. Their prices per night have soared but the resort is old, not clean, outdated laundry room and the lake is green and stinks. It has had an ant infestation for years. Would not mind paying the additional cost if it had been kept up. Customer service severely lacking. We received an email offering up to 35% off per night. Sounded like a great deal. Promo code FITCP. Book by March 14th. You can only book online. I chose a group of dates in the middle of the week for end of March. Dates available. Went to check out and realized I needed to enter the promo code first. So went back to the beginning and entered the code and re-entered my dates. Surprisingly there are zero dates now available. So cleared this search and tried using our discount code for Passport America. Again, no dates available. I was only getting available dates if paying FULL price. Tried to call but was told we can only leave a message if booking for a group of 10 or more, otherwise book your stay online. Ended up booking at another Pahrump RV Park with our Passport America for 1/3 of the price Lakeside is asking. This is unethical and a scam. Beware.

Yelp
The people who work there are very nice. There are tons of ducks which are nice to look at but that means lots of poop. Daily there was someone cleaning it up, but it's impossible to keep clean. The lake was green and slimy but my kids still had fun fishing. It's a throw back fishing lake which is fine by me. It was a good quick getaway from Vegas. The showers and bathrooms were clean. Pool is well maintained. It was quiet overall. I would go back.

Yelp
I am SO SAD writing this review. We stayed here many years ago when it was run by the Terribles Corp....it was as we were told one of the TOP10 in the country, even the old bill board out front says it is a 10 10 10 place. We stopped Rv'ing for about 12 years and started back up about 3 years ago...we went back to Lakeside because of the wonderful memories and how pristine the place was and convenient to us since we live in Las Vegas ....we were SO disappointed....the place is so run down and neglected. We were told that it was sold and from our view point it has been left to just fall to the ground....DO NOT get me wrong the people in the check in office are WONDERFUL.....however they can only deal with what they are given.......SHAME on the owners for allowing this place to fall in shambles....the grounds are a disgrace, the sprinkler systems run constantly, the green areas, or I should say what is left is once again totally neglected with weeds and thorns that have stopped us from allowing our fur children to walk around since they will get them stuck in their paws. Not to mention all the mud and dead trees that are throughout the park. The hook ups for the water leak and aren't fixed....we've stayed in the same site a few times and the water just runs. At times the lake is so low because ??? and on a recent visit even the, what was 2 beautiful fountains in the lake to help aerate the lake are not even working as well. Oh and may I mention the geese / ducks and their droppings are everywhere....Don't you have any maintenance crew to clean the place and mow what lawns there are? I remember when before you would check in someone would rake your spot. And what makes it even more sad is that they are still using the magnificent pictures from when it was phenomenal. If your going to invest in a place...PLEASE try and keep it the way it was....or sell it to someone who cares...I would attach photos as asked below....however I don't think you need a reminder how bad the place is just have a look around for your self....however I don't think this is even necessary...you know you've neglected the place...and have OF COURSE raised the rates I sent a comment to your corporate offices a week ago and not to my surprise I never received the courtesy of a call back...I am happy to discuss this further if you would like to call me. I think you have lost us as patrons....unless you make MAJOR changes.

Rose B.

Yelp
This park has a wonderful staff all around. Many people do not realize if you do not leave a message for the staff they can not help you. The park is turning green now and coming out of the winter weather. Many wild animals and they are DNR protected. Unfortunately, they are wild and have free roam of the park completely so keeping cleanup after them can be a challenge. We did not mind cleaning up after the animals when needed. The cafe has great food and a great staff. Stayed here many times and have had no issues and surprised how customers can use employees names that they have never even met on these reviews. If customers are not happy they should be talking to the supervisor when they are at the park.

Yelp
Just spent 4 days at Lakeside resort which was nothing but one issue after the other...1st day checked in found that the plug in spot 19 ... electrical plug was blackened, John went over to the office , they told him to go ahead it was alright but they would send an electrician in a day or so. Plugged in and nothing happened. John went back and they moved us to spot 21...but this was too late it had fried the battery, which caused us to have electrical issues the entire trip. upon returning home found it had not only fried the battery but the resistors and circuts. We contacted their desk about the battery, being fried after we had to go into town and purchase a new battery to replace one that was only 6 months to a year old..and they had an attitude of , oh well day 2...woke up that morning to a trailer full of ants..no one had told us that there was an ant problem, there was not even a note...so off to the store for ant spray the grounds around the parking is not well kept, the grass is mowed but they do not take care of any of the tree trash or what other people have left via their animals etc. the lake which is shown in the pictures as being beautiful , is nothing but a swamp hole....i was looking forward to kyaking but not in that slime hole... I will never go this place again or suggest that anyone ever spend time there.

Yelp
Don't do it. If you have dogs especially, stay away. This place has become infested with splinter burrs everywhere. They stick to everything and leave splinters in your clothes, shoes, EVERYTHING. If you have dogs this place is the worst. You can't walk them on any "grass" areas because of the burr infestation. You see all the people walking their dogs in the road trying to prevent their animals from getting stuck with all these spikey splinters. We had to throw away shoes, mats, and blankets after visiting this weekend. We could have overlooked the rude staff, parties at the center lake house and the ants everywhere but the burrs really ruined the whole trip. We won't be back and suggest anyone else find another spot to stay at.
google avatar

Shelley S.

Yelp
I have been going here for many years and each time the landscaping gets worse. This time it was so bad my dogs had a hard time walking on the dead grass it was hurting their paws. The lake is green and smells. Please fix this place!
google avatar

Yelp
When we checked in we were warned that there is an ant problem and that the ant problem is ours to take care of. Yikes! We were told there is no eating in the pool area due to the ants. No problem. Although the staff does not check on people in the pool area and I have seen people eating in the pool area. We woke up infested with ants. Had to go to Walmart for Borax and spray which helped but did not completely get rid of them. We have stragglers. Second morning we woke up to termites outside of our trailer. Another yikes! The water pressure is terrible! One can hardly take a shower. Don't even think about washing dishes while one is showering as the water shuts off completely in the shower. You can't use your own washer because the pressure is so low. We would change campgrounds altogether but our truck is in Vegas for repairs and we have no way of moving our fifth wheel. One time the pool was covered with dead bugs so my husband, daughter and I took turns using the net to get them out. And all of Regis for only $800 a month!!

Yelp
We have stayed here many, many times over the years. This is (or should I say was) one of our favorite places to camp.....until last night. We checked in around 6pm, set up camp and was enjoying ourselves when the Security walked up. He said we had to leave because they don't allow pop up campers. He just stood there with absolutely no empathy telling us we had to leave. I explained that we have stayed here over 50 times in the same camper and they've always allowed pop ups, there are multiple pop ups around every visit. I insisted on speaking with the Manager, and even though he stood there on the phone speaking to management, he would not let me speak to them. My family was forced to leave and had to pack up at 9pm and drive around looking for a place to stay for over an hour when we finally found a hotel that had a room. I have never been treated so bad in my entire life. We are very sad and upset that we were treated this way when we have been customers of this RV park for years. To the management of you have any customer service skills at all, I would love to know why you stopped allowing pop up campers. I have yet to hear. All they said was it was a corporate decision. By the way, this is a pic of our past visit in May 2020....just a few months later we go and they won't allow us.

Meaghan J.

Yelp
The grounds are pretty to look at. BUT, when you ck in they say ," We have an ant problem ". What they don't tell you is it's egregious. You will have ants in your motor home/ trailer/ 5th wheel. No matter if you spray around your vehicle or not. And not just. Few... thousands. Not to mention the goose poop everywhere. They don't even try to clean it up. The worst part is the attitude of the staff. They don't give a crap. They'll say. ," we said we had an ant problem ". What??? Wait to come here until it's fixed.
google avatar

Shelly B.

Yelp
All I can say is DONT COME HERE unless you don't mind getting infested with thousands of ants!! We weren't even there for 24 hrs and was infested!! Ants in our bed, cabinets, bathroom, stove EVERYWHERE!! And when we called to see if they could come spray our site, we could only leave a message and NO ONE bothered to even call us back HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Yelp
A guy that has worked in the office for only 3 months thinks he is king of the campground. Passport America rate online is higher than what he quoted but he keeps spinning his words To make it sound like a better deal. 84 a night for 2 nights and 74 for 1 more night. That's a total of $232. With passport America, which is half off for up to 3 nights, that would be $116. Online, which they try to make you book it online, shows $156. Try logical explanation all you like, he can't do basic math. Ended up hanging up on him because he is such a moron. Won't be going back to our former favorite place ever again. Try hiring someone that can do math or even knows how to use a calculator. You will lose a lot of business by having idiots running your camp office! Pictured is the rate showing online after a supposed 50% off discount has been applied. Send like a lot more than 74, 84, and 84.

Yelp
I have visited this RV park several times since 2016, every time I visit it just gets worse and worse! The grounds are poorly maintained, there is goose crap everywhere and it never gets cleaned up, there's hardly any grass anymore and the employees are surly and rude, the male security guard continually harassed other guests, we were part of a group and the guard continued to harass one of our people because she was camping in a converted camper van which was approved when she checked in. He stopped another person and accused them of speeding thru the park, when in fact it was another camper with the same type vehicle. This place could be really nice, but it's just poorly maintained and they need to fire the security guard who's been there for years and thinks he runs the place. The grounds are filthy.

Yelp
Caution. The landscaping grass is now full of foxtails and painful thorns that attach to your pets, shoes, and hands just while hooking up. Staff not helpful

Yelp
This park has gone down hill over the past few years. I made my reservations back in December And left note that we were meeting my parents and wanted a spot next to them. My parents did the same. My husband called the following day to confirm the reservation and the notes and were told it wouldn't be a problem. Here we are today (3/13) to check in, and told we can't check in until noon. Fine, can't check in yet. Ask about our spot, the lady says that they moved us from across the park to another spot that was 5 spaces away. When we asked why we can't get the spot next to my parents, which is currently open, they said someone is checking into that spot. Ok if spots aren't guaranteed then how is it that the current open spot cannot be given to us per our request?! When I asked they simply said that that person may have requested that spot. Ok, that still does not answer my question. Mind you I'm here 2 hrs before check in (thought check in was at 10) and yet we cannot have the spot right next to my parents. Needless to say we will not be back here, nor will my parents. This was their 1st time out here in their rv and they are extremely disappointed.

Yelp
The park is nice and so are the people who stay. Rose in the office is unbendable. Doesn't matter how much you stay, don't break the rules, she is a bully!

Yelp
Been here many times in the past, Nothing special about the casino at all just a locals place where you would never expect a casino to be located. Lakeside is part of 2 other Casinos in town, Pahrump Nugget and Gold Town. They have a RV park which is suppose to be one of the better ones in Pahrump but you also pay for it I hear, It is very pretty near the Lake and I hear you can spend the day there which is nice. We have been to their restaurant many times. You can have the buffet or order off the menu. We went last night. The buffet is hit or miss. If you go early it is a lot better than going in of course a hour or 2 before closing. We have walked in wanted the buffet and changed our mind after seeing everything dried out. But there are different specials. Monday nights are pot roast. I was disappointed because they have the best green beans I have had anywhere and they did not have any last night. The whole month the buffet is $5 tax included, Well worth that. Like I said it is hit or miss. Its much better certain nights depending on what they have, As for the casino ~ Last night we noticed they had a few new games. Nothing was paying out real good no matter what one we tried. They had a cute new one The Christmas Story.. The most that hit was for $20.00. Fun to try, but like any other casino for slots your taking a chance, that's why it is called gambling lol The cocktail waitress was on top of it. One of the better ones we have seen there. There is no Hotel at this location just the RV park, If your in the area check out the lake ~ and if you want something cheap to eat this is the month to do it! Usually Monday Nights were buy one get one. You can not beat this special!

Yelp
My first and last time I will visit this RV park/resort. I had heard nothing but great things about this park from our group that came out. I was beyond disappointed in the way we were treated by especially the staff and the long term stayers. Whom did nothing but complain. The kids could not play we were not allowed to have music or even play games ourselves and no bike riding without being yelled at. People wonder why kids just stay in and do not go out to play. This is exactly why. The moment we came in we had attitude from your front office staff and the lead Rose. Who once our parents got there gave them a lecture about us as well. And then once more from our group showed up she did the same. Which is very unprofessional and uncalled for. Besides the horrid treatment the park was unkempt. The spot beside us had a leak and was flooded once we showed up maintenance stopped working on it completely. The water hookup at our site leaked from the spout the whole time we were there. Taking the dogs on a walk around the pond at night was pretty dark as only 9 of the 20 lights surrounding the pond worked. And we were the ones judged about how our trailer looked when the up keep around the park and long term stayers was just as bad. Don't make life miserable some of us just want to get away for a little bit and relax and have fun and we were not allowed to even do that.

Yelp
Absolutely a joy to stay at this RV Park! Lots of amenities, security staff around the clock & sparkling clean pool next to the lake. We'll come back for sure. Little tip, if you get in after hours, go to the entry for the registration area, they post your space # on a whiteboard for you.

Yelp
Wonderful staff, and beautiful RV park. Sitting by the lake and watching the ducks is awesome. DON'T bother with the cafe inside the casino. Horrible service, very slow and very forgetful. My breakfast potatoes had been cooked in stale grease, and staff just walk over trash all over the floor.

Yelp
Much nicer than any R.V park in Vegas. Nice lake with ducks. I did well at the casino. Resteraunt is okay. Place used to be busier when it was run by Terribles. They let the grass die. It's still a nice park. Security is much more present than before. I like that they don't allow the locals in the park anymore, if they are not camping. We will be back.
