Lakeview Drive In

We ordered online for pick-up, and everything was ready on time and exactly as ordered, super easy and convenient! I appreciated that they offer gluten-free buns (toasted or left in packaging) and fries, which can be hard to find at a drive-in. The food was tasty and exactly what you want from a classic drive-in spot. The little lakeside setting makes it even better; you can sit and enjoy your food with a great view of the water.

Pretty disappointing experience unfortunately. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food. Which, I get it, busy drive thru on a sunny Saturday, but the owners should account for that and have the kitchen fully staffed and running fast. Paid $15 per cheeseburger which seemed high for the quality and quantity of food. About half the fries in our basket were fresh but the other half were weirdly stale like they'd been sitting out. I will say the onion rings were great, but I don't think we'll be back.

I got the bacon burger basket ($12.50) and a peanut butter cup milkshake. The wait was only about 5 minutes (on a Friday at 1pm in April). The double patty was the perfect amount for my hungry self. And while the bacon was super thin, there was an adequate amount and it was crispy. The bun got a little soggy from the condiments in my last few bites, but still delicious. I do wish there was some type of “special sauce” on the burger instead of just mayo, ketchup, relish, etc. But overall this was tasty. The fries were crispy and good, but unevenly seasoned. The seasoning was a Johnny’s-like seasoning blend with (what I assume) is garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Really tasty, just wish there was more of it on each fry instead of just on top. Milkshake was all you could want it to be.

Amazing spot to eat and watch Lake Chelan. Tastes like nostalgia. Slower than it used to be, likely due to online orders.

As a local we love Lakeview! Burgers are yummy, fries are fantastic, and milkshakes are so good! The staff is always helpful and friendly and willing to go the extra step to make the experience awesome! Thanks for the yummy food and great memories on the lake!

I grew up going here and loved it so much. However, they now take online orders so you are never going to get your food fast unless you order online. I just waited one hour for a burger and fries when they said it'd be a half hour. Order online or don't come imo

Such a good burger!! And the fries were amazing!! The service was very fast, and the staff was friendly. I don't think you could ask for a better view from the patio! A great spot for a good ol fashioned drive in. Stop by and enjoy the beach after! Can't wait to go back!

We were there a couple of days ago. It is a perfect little drive in for a quick lunch. The burgers are not too big, assembled with care and very tasty. The fries were excellent, and the shakes were delicious. The staff stands out to me. Too often, stores are manned by teenagers who do not care about your dining experience. This is not the case here. The staff is friendly, helpful and very fast. And the prices are incredibly reasonable. A perfect lunch!

A must when in Chelan. Old school-style burgers and fries. Delicious!! Eating area outside and drive- thru. No pets in eating area. Small parking area so no trailers.

After a full day of hiking in 105+ degree weather, we needed something fatty and greasy to end our day. Lakeview Drive In seemed like a great spot for our needs. Ordering is simple - go the front to order at the windows, then walk around the back to pick your food up. There was no line for ordering at approx 6PM on a weekday and it only took about 10 minutes before the order was ready. Bacon Burger Basket ($11.95) - Two beef patties with melted American cheese, a stack of crisp bacon on top, what else could you want? On the bottom of the meat was a bed of chopped lettuce and onion, with relish and a mustard/mayo sauce rounding out the burger. The bun is a standard food service bun that holds up well. This basket comes with fries - the fries are thinner crinkle cut. I usually don't like this cut because a lot of the time it turns out soggy. The fries here are fried perfectly and stay crisp while still maintaining a bit of fluffy exterior. If there was one complaint I could give it's that they season the fries with seasoning salt a little too liberally. Once you're at the bottom of the tray, you're basically picking the fries out of piles of salt. Double Mack Burger ($7.65) - No complaints with this, nice beef patty flavor with the same fixings as the bacon burger (sans the bacon and cheese of course) As a bonus, they have fans that spray mist out that help cool you off in the heat. They also have cups and a water dispenser right next to the pickup window (no ice). I recommend Lakeview Drive In for a solid burger.

A perfect spot for lunch! The service was quick and the food was great! Tough to beat the view too! I will definitely make this a place I stop every time I come to chelan!

I was hurtin for certain and my friend said she would fix me up. So off we drove to get me a burger. And a burger it was! It's not a hoity toity type of establishment. We ordered, we sat in the sun and picked up from a window. It's like a drive through without the car. Messy, gooey and it hit the spot. The only mistake...I should bought a shake for myself. Hit it.

Had a wonderful experience at Lakeview Drive-in. The young lady that took our order was so helpful and so kind and inviting! We waited maybe 5-10minutes for our large order and everything was extremely hot and fresh! The fries and seasoning was just perfect and their fry sauce is to die for! The prices were reasonable and the outdoor seating was spacious with wonderful views! It is a great family place if you are looking for a quick but hot meal! The chicken strips, fries, burger, onion rings and milkshakes were delicious and would recommend anyone to go to Lakeview Drive-In! What a fun and great place for Chelan!

This place has awesome burgers but they are so tight they squeak... From charging 70 cents for sauce for your $4.50 fries to what drove me over the edge... a 9% charge if you order on their app! They encourage you to use their app and then charge you more then the sales tax to use it to order!!! "Internet" charge... unbelievable

Burgers, fries, shakes, overlooking beautiful Lake Chelan....yep....this may be hamburger heaven. Long time local burger joint, openly seasonally during the warmer months, continues to be a go to for locals and visitors. Made to order, so your meal is hit and fresh every time, which means a little bit if a wait, but worth it. Parking can be tight, please don't park across the street in the IGA lot. Better yet, boat into Chelan and grab a meal to enjoy on the lake, short term moorage is just below the restaurant at Lakeshore Marina.

It took a few visits to Don Morse Memorial Park before we tried Lakeview Drive In. You can now do an online order and they'll delver it to the concession stand/building in the park (same location as the restrooms), but Lakeview Drive In is so close that I decided to go there on-foot. There are different windows for placing orders, drive thru (online orders) and pick-up. All seating is outdoors (picnic tables, sun umbrellas, benches, etc.), with a great view overlooking the Don Morse Memorial Park Marina and Lake Chelan. For four burgers, two orders of fries, two sides of fry sauce, and a drink, the total came to around $42. The second side of fry sauce was not necessary since its portion is bigger than expected (one is good enough to cover two orders of fries). All of the burgers had decent proportions, toppings and flavor. The fries (crinkle cut) were also good. Later on the same day, I returned to get ice cream and one shake. For about $20, we got 3 cups of soft serve ice cream and a shake. The ice cream at Lakeview Drive In is only soft serve (the menu leads you to conclude that there are actually multiple flavors), but the reality is they have candy or mixture ingredients to make additional ice cream and/or shake flavors by combining it with the soft serve. Also, I was expecting a more traditional shake, but what I got was something similar to a Dairy Queen Blizzard. The ice cream wasn't bad, but it was a bit too expensive to simply be soft serve. To conclude, we enjoyed our burgers and fries more than we expected; however, we were just a little let down by the ice cream.

I grew up right next door to this place and have eaten there every single year since the 1970s. It's always been a nostalgic place for me, and sort of guilty pleasure. Over the past few years, the quality of the food quality has completely disappeared to the point where this year, the order I just picked up was literally inedible. It was average for a while, then mediocre, then meh, now you should just save your money and not go. (TIP: right across the street you get grassfed beef burgers, twice the size for less.) We ordered double bacon burger basket for the hubby, and I had a BLT. How hard can that be? BLT was advertised as toasted with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and bacon. NONE of this happened. The 3.5" diameter white bread slices were not toasted and tasted like stale communion wafers. No mayo. The iceberg lettuce shreds were disgusting and wilted. The one-half slice of tomato on each half looked like a single slice of a Roma, barely enough for one bite. And the bacon consisted of a pile of burned bacon crumbs. BURNED. I seriously thought this must be some kind of a joke, it was THAT BAD. I didn't even bother to give it to the crows. $8.45 plus tax, tip, and online order fee. Husband was hungry and ate his bacon burger basket. He reported the same thing about the bacon and reported that the meat was a no-flavor hockey puck. The pre-cooked kind off of the SYSCO truck. That famous seasoning for the fries we've all come to know and love and expect was non-existent. Basically, reheated crinkle fries from a frozen Walmart bag. SUCH POOR QUALITY. $12.45 plus tax, tip, service fee. The worst thing was the milkshake. I think it was a 10 or 12 oz, but for $6.45, go to the store, get a pint of Tillamook vanilla, some Hershey's syrup, and milk and make your own in a blender. It had barely enough chocolate to call it that. Whoever owns this place needs to find a new supplier, go over their COGS, and train the staff how to cook. Such a major disappointment for this landmark in our community. I'm never going there again. I keep hoping it will improve, but it only gets worse.

Great place to grab a burger when arriving to Lake Chelan or going to the Park. It has an amazing view to yhe Lake with all these different colours. So beautiful!! Hamburgers are really good. Simple choice. You don't have to go through an extensive menu as in other places. They were so tasty that we got a second one hehe. You pay on one side and then wait on the garden side. You can sit on one of the tables or near the edge to take a look to the marina/park. Or you can always drive thru :)

I've had a lot of bad burgers recently and I was almost about to give up the notion that good burgers ever existed, until I came to Lakeview Drive-In and my love for burgers was rekindled once again. Their burgers are juicy, small enough to fit in your mouth, tasty, and deeply satisfying to this old man.

A classic at Lake Chelan. The burger is legit and basic. The shake is tasty. I enjoyed the crispy chicken salad as well. This is the perfect simple family dinner place by the lake.

This place is usually amazing, we haven't been here in in a couple years, really went downhill. Stale burger buns cold burger hard fries absolutely nothing was good:( $50 for a complete disappointment.

My family has been vacationing at Lake Chelan off and on for years so this year after the COVID lock down we and my in laws wanted to get together for our first vacation in a year and during that trip we decided to take a night off cooking dinner and get take out. To begin with we arrived at the peek of the dinner rush so I was expecting a long wait time this kinda was compounded be the fact that they offer online ordering which adds to the walk up wait time so much for technology huh? Anyway the food is good quality but be prepared to wait as the restaurant gets overwhelmed, convenience and good food and and a over abundance of demand it's a good / bad problem for the restaurant to have . The restaurant has a great location and ample outdoor dining but really fills up fast all I can say is plan ahead and be patient the food is good quality classic burger stand.

We enjoyed our lunch at Lakeview, it was a bit better than average in terms of flavor and amount of food. The fries were premade crinkle cut frozen, but hot and plenty of salt. The best part was the convenience. Lakeview is, as the name suggests, right on the lake. We walked over from the beach resort next door (Campbells) and ate our food right on our loungers.

We used to love grabbing burgers on the lake here. But now they've taken to walking your food to an "out post" outside of the restaurant and keeping it there if you don't pick it up instantly. Its hard to see how this is living up to food prep standards, particularly since they will do this before your scheduled pick up time, leaving you no way to predict where your food will be. Gonna leave this one star until they stop this absurd and sorta gross practice.

On weekends they charge double for locals special, I get there and my order is wrong and hardly anyone there on Saturday I won't be back

Great food! Very friendly service! Magnificent view! We were there the second to last day of the season and bought some swag. Can't wait to go back next spring:)

Had great burgers here tonight. Their gluten free buns are very good. The outdoor seating has a nice view of the lake. Service was pretty quick even though there were steady customers. The gave us many more sauce cups then we ordered, which we then had to throw away...

Used to be good. Now 3 burgers, 3 Frys and 3 small drinks is over $60. I know things are more expensive these days but when I pay that much for a fast food meal and get cold Frys and stale buns I certainly won't be going back and definitely won't recommend it.

They got our special instructions for the order just right. It was ready in 10 mins and the food was great/portions were good. Will be back whenever we're in town.

Solid old school burger joint. I suggest you order in advance, line at the door can take a while. They have a large water spray fan to cool you and a nice view while you wait. Could be much worse. As for the food, the fries were better than average. House fry and tartar dips were .45 a pop but excellent additions. Burger was solid representative of this kind of drive in burger joint. The foot long hotdog was a nice throwback as well. If you like dogs, I recommend. Can't speak to the onion rings as unfortunately they were not placed in my bag despite purchase. Honest mistake, and it was busy. Mistakes happen. I came back and the on site manager worked to get me a refund. Class act on their part. Would stop by again next time I'm in town.

Rubbery burger reminiscent of school cafeteria and a PROCESSED chicken Pattie (not a chicken breast) for the fried chicken sandwich. Fries and fry sauce were the only decent thing. I wanted to like it because the location and cool vintage sign are so cool, but it was super disappointing. They really should try to do better than this crap food.

After placing an online mobile order for almost $70 and going to pick it up; sat there for an hour waiting for it, and went to the window multiple times. They said they would call my name when it was ready and then in the end it'd been sitting there for an hour! They said we should've checked out the window earlier, which exactly was what we did! Watched whole families come and go. I bet the burgers would've been great had they not been cold; and I bet french fries would've been awesome if they hadn't been sitting there an hour. I bet even the milkshakes would've been good had they not been melting in this hot heat for an hour before we got them. All their customers seem to have a number, but not the online order that we placed. I don't know what the problem is at this place, maybe they don't have online ordering figured out? But if that's the case they shouldn't offer it. They are closed now, but will go in tomorrow and see what they have to say about this.

Burgers just okay. The missing 5 sides of fries, which were way over priced, were a bummer. The fry sauce minus the fries should have been a clue to the clueless employee. Hope the employees enjoyed them. It's close to town so easy. I say, look around. Low hanging fruit.

If you're looking for a delish, juicy, greasy bacon cheese burger, this is the place. Fries, onion rings, and shakes all good, as well. There was a bit of a wait, but we enjoyed the scenery while we waited. Don't mind that it's just a drive-in. We just took it to the park nearby and scarfed it down.

The burgers were really good and you can't go wrong with fries and fry sauce! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the chocolate milkshake and chocolate banana milkshake needed more chocolate in it. The banana overpowered the one, and the regular chocolate one barely tasted like chocolate.

We know this spot is always crackin so we called ahead to order and they said a 50min wait. Which was cool with us. We walked from our room to pick up. It was ready when we arrived but they forgot to add bacon to 3 of the burgers so they quickly added it. When we got back to the room to eat our bucket of fries were hard and over seasoned, the bacon was hard but the corn dogs were really good and the hamburger was good after taking bacon out. We were so hungry we ate what we could. Customer service was really good even though they were super slammed.

Pretty consistent with orders! Sometimes the wait is longer than expected but worth it! Try a flurry, you won't regret it!

This was beyond acceptable... I waited in a line in my car (wasting so much gas)... and I was staying 2 minutes a way, staying at Campbell's... for them to tell me after waiting again 20 minutes in the car, that they actually take call-in orders OVER orders in person, so my order, even though I was live and in person and had MONEY to spend, they were telling me that my order would be 35-40 min wait!!!! Then, I told them I would gladly wait in the drive up space for my order and they told me they would call the cops!! I will NEVER eat for there again... my kids are screaming for food, I did nothing wrong but wait for my order in the space, only for them to call the freaking COPS!!! My 2 year old is frantric, only because they freaking decided to take phone orders over people who are actually at the restaurant!!!

We used to love coming here as locals a few time a year. After our first visit this year I regret to say it will be our last. Price increases extra charge to order online after they encourage you to do so. On top of it all they charge a dollar for a glass of water when it used to be 10 cents. Service was at best okay. The food has continued to drop in quality. Long story short we are done.

I loved this place it was awesome. Kid friendly, lots of seating. Burgers are good, we also got buckets of fries as well, they were great. I got the lakeview grilled chicken salad with ranch, it was amazing and I wish I could have come back to get it again. My toddlers liked the corn dogs and shakes. The service was friendly and the food came out in a reasonable time, given how busy they are. Only downside is no bathrooms!! Be warned!

Ordered to go dinner tonight by calling and picking up. Process was easy and efficient. Have been eating there for over 30 years as part of summer vacations. Even thought we got to go food was still delicious and bucket of fries were excellent. A must do when in Chelan!

I had a group of rowdy high school golfers desperately in need of food and the lovely workers accommodated us by letting us phone in 15 orders and pick up a few minutes after they were supposed to be closed. Absolute rockstars.

I love lake view food, but I was disappointed when I got incredibly salty fries, and no fry sauce. I paid extra for fry sauce and still didn't get any. I expect more from y'all

This is a local legend and apparently the only drive thru/walk-up hamburger joint in Chelan. They use that to their greatest advantage. As a local I find it hit and miss. They do offer us locals a swell deal Tuesday thru Thursday of a single chez burger, fry and a small soft drink for $5 bucks!!! And yes, your pets are welcome, only on the grass area...

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but it's a Chelan staple. Classic burgers and more done right. Crisp bun, juicy patty, stuffed with all the essentials (ketchup, shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles). And the milkshakes! A must. There are a lot of options on the menu board but you really can't go wrong. Not much else to say besides go see for yourself! You won't be disappointed.

Wish the drive In would have been open this year we were staying at the lake house condos across the street always a have to have lunch.

I like this place for what it is , a drive thru burger joint. Not very many places to eat in Chelan so a quick stop for a quick meal will do it. We had their siimple burger and it was good, large all beef patty with cheese. Clean and you can pre pay , drive up and pick up or get in line and order. Definitely give it a go !

Great burgers, but the BLT has a lot to be desired. Plain white bread untoasted. Ugh! Never again
