So I go here for lunch quite often BUT today was the first time I went for breakfast!!! 🩷 And I'm soooooo excited. I love breakfast and brunch more than anything and the Lakeview Grocery crew just surpassed many others and tied with the best in the city! I will be back... And often 😂

What happened to the recruiting process at Lakeview grocery?? Revolving door of check out people with zero customer service training coupled with an "I don't care attitude." If it's so difficult to get good hires, perhaps you should look into automated self check out. Beyond this issue, it's been our go-to grocer for 20 years and 1.5 blocks from our house. No complaints on product and convenience

As someone who has had breast cancer run in my family, I really appreciated speaking with the United Breast Cancer Foundation team. KEEP THESE GUYS COMING! So sweet.

This place just ain’t your average Grocery, I’ve actually never shopped for food! I go straight to the Deli Section, the food buffet is AWESOME! I’m still mad at myself for just recently finding out about this place! The Folks that prepare the food in the Deli should really earn a good living!😎🔥🔥🔥

I have been looking for a grocery to shop at and am lucky that I found this place. After walking in City Park, I ended up heading in this direction to go to Metairie. So I stumbles upon this lakeview gem. I had to go in and I only got a few things. The store has a nice selection of groceries, wine, hard liquor, hot food, bakery, and sushi. There is even a small restaurant inside of the grocery called The Cove. The prices were more than my local grocery, but for quality I would happily pay the extra fee and will be returning.

Deli is always delicious!! Fried fish/shrimp, salmon, and crawfish cornbread dressing are my favorites.

In short: I can't stand this place. In more detail: 1. The management is terrible. They spend most of their time talking with employees about personal matters, blocking the aisle the whole time. Aloof and surly. 2. Save for a handful, the employees are awfully rude and unhelpful. Just today, I had the deli clerk snap at me because I couldn't hear her response to my question because her back was towards me, and she was mumbling. If you get a "hello" from a cashier, you are doing well. Might as well forget about customer service checkout. It's like you personally offended them trying to spend money. 3. The parking, especially during church or school, is impossible. I'm not sure why St. D people are freely allowed to park in the lot and walk across the street. 4. It's outrageously expensive. I guess there is 2 things I like: the king cake and hot bar. Otherwise I'll be spending my money at Dorignacs.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Good variety of products. Good location. A little bit pricey. Limited parking lot, but it's free parking. Handicap accessible. Kid-friendly. Next to many shops and cafes.
