Very high quality Indian dining. Don't be thrown off by the fact that it's inside of a gas station.
There's usually a bit of a wait because they make everything fresh. If you like fried foods, the pakoras and samosas are to die for. If you like curries, get their paneer tikka masala. The fresh naan and roti pair excellently with everything, and the raita and other sides sauces are delicious--you'll want to dip everything in them.
I've gotta talk about the biryanis. For a white boy, I have had a hell of a lot of biryani. I will tell you this might be the best biryani I have found in the Austin area. They don't skimp on the ingredients. You will fully experience the star anise, cardamom pods, cinnamon bark, black peppercorns, fresh onion AND caramelized onion, and probably a dozen other ingredients--all served together with wonderfully tender meat. If it seems expensive for a gas station, do not be deceived. This is the excellent, authentic, relentlessly flavorful biryani you are looking for.
For the ultimate spicy lover, get the "Extra Lali Spicy" biryani. It will certainly clear your sinuses, and the brutal spice level will make you feel cleansed and rejuvenated (if you're into that). As of writing, the Extra Lali Spicy heat level costs extra--that's because they heap the spicy magic into the dish and infuse all the heat just for you. This spice level is not for the faint of heart, you have been warned .
Know that this place is not "spicy by default" and has a menu full of options for non-spicy-lovers.
While this place has a humble location in a gas station in Leander, it provides exceptionally authentic and uncompromising Indian cuisine that you will not regret.
