Our experience at this charming restaurant was exceptional from start to finish. Our table was ready and waiting, and the staff’s warm, attentive service made us feel immediately welcome. The waiter presented the whole fish for our approval before cooking, a thoughtful touch that reflected their commitment to freshness. The lobster and roasted fish was outstanding—perfectly cooked and full of flavor—and every dish we tried was impeccable. A true hidden gem that delivers both remarkable seafood and genuine hospitality.

The best dinner I got in 5 years maybe. Amazing food and wine! I got calamari with mashed potatoes, and oysters. Wanted immediately to book for the next day but they were fully booked already. Highly recommended, pure gastronomic pleasure.

Small restaurant, amazing menu! If you're dining for two, the mixed seafood platter is absolutely amazing. Roberto and his staff are very welcoming to customers.

The food was really good. The service however not. Long waiting times. The food was not served together for a party of 6 people. We claimed twice that the spaghetti vongole were too small (just three forks). We asked to get another plate. No reactions at all. We had a Branzino for 4 people. Far too small. Would have been OK for 2 max 3 people. Every request took long waiting times. Espresso as well. The seating is on this metal chairs, which for sure is not comfortable. Overall apart form the food itself, which was good, not a good impression. Would not consider to go there again.

Really expensive with no price breakdown on the receipt. Overall, we felt really ripped off. €5 cover charge per person. €10 for a bottle of water and can of coca cola. €78 for two first courses and white pasta for our son. My €22 prawn pasta had just 2-3 prawns chopped into tiny pieces. After spending €100, we left hungry and had to look for another place to eat.

First night in town. Just wow. The service and the food. We were seated in the "boat" in front of the restaurant and had a lovely view of the harbor. Also there were ducks swimming there which we we were allowed to throw bread to. Very fun.

We had dinner with 6 people, everything was perfect with the very professional service and the fish recommended by the waiter. quality products and very rich wine list we will definitely return

Best food in town. It’s a small and cozy eatery with unique blend of Ligurian delicacies. Make sure to make reservation ahead of time.

This was one of our favorite meals. The fish could not be fresher. As we were walking in, the chef was choosing his fish from a bucket and we followed the fresh fish to our table. It was a chilly night, so the tarps were up. We sat right on the edge of in and out. Out chairs were inside, but we were facing out on a wall that wasn't there. Lovey views of the water and boats but we stayed warm. We ordered a nice shrimp salad for an app. We split it and it was delicious. It was the right amount of food to start. Next we chose sea bass with roasted potatoes and olives. It was so good. The fish is for at least two people. It is served on a big platter and you dish your own plates. The presentation was beautiful but the taste was even better. The price was determined by a set amount x the size of the fish. Our bill was around $150eu for everything, including drinks, dessert, etc. Again, one of our favorite meals in our nearly 4 weeks in Italy. We chose the molten chocolate cake for dessert and the waiter also brought out an additional free plate of small amaretto cookies, chocolate, and gumdrops. So good. Service was excellent. It was a short 15 min walk from our hotel. Was glad to have the walk home to wear off a bit of all I ate.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel and is in the Michelin guide 2022. That helps to choose between hundreds of other similar looking restaurants lining up the harbor of Santa Margarita I recommend sitting outside unless it's too hot. You face the harbor and people watch. This restaurant is apparently favored by the locals, everyone seemed to know the owner. Service is friendly and official. The waiter recommended the whole fish, oven roasted with potatoes, shallots and olives. For appetizer a salad with local shrimp. We had our own desserts. We shared everything else and that was enough. Food was simple, fresh and delicious. Recommended whites were great. Price for 2, with 1 bottle of wine, water, 2 glasses of dessert wine, 1 appetizer and 1 main dish - €160. That's reasonable for this place.

Our concierge recommended this restaurant as it was within walking distance to our hotel. Although the food was good and the views of the bay were indeed outstanding, I'm writing this review to ensure folks pay attention to a trick our waiter played on us when he brought the bill. Expecting that we wouldn't pay close attention to the bill, he overcharged us by over one hundred euros! Not only did he double charge us for the wine, he also combined all four entrees into one amount so we had to stop and do some quick math to spot the issue. It quickly became apparent that he was trying to pull a fast one on us. While we received a portion of the overcharged amount back, we did not get the full amount due to loss in translation. I left with a very bad taste in my mouth and while I hope this was an isolated incident, my gut tells me that is not the case. For this reason, I would advise visitors to Santa Margherita to steer clear of this place. Many other good options in this beautiful city.
