L'Amandier

We have eaten at L’Amandier a dozen times over several years and it is always excellent! We drive 20 min from Les Issambres and it is always worth it! Only 6 tables in an intimate setting (like a cave). Go for the food not the view (there is none). The reward is the creative and delectable cuisine by the chef and the excellent service by his spouse who works the room.

Slightly hidden, amazing little restaurant with only 6-10 tables. You have to reserve. Every dish a piece of artwork that will trigger your tastebud’s. Sensational wines. Only 2 menu’s in 2 variation’s each. But everything done with passion and finesse. Perfect for date night or just treating yourself and family. Seeing what was delivered the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend.

Excellent quality to value. Visited for lunch in late September and took advantage of the Menu du Midi (€22) where one can select 2 courses from the more expensive evening menu. Also the breads, amuse-bouche and small sweets were of top quality! Portions were ideal and flavours were combined to perfection. Fully deserving of being consistently awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand. I look forward to returning.

Quite easily the best-of-the- best of the historic town restaurants of Fréjus. Simply fantastic! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough…the choice of up to 5/5 stars does not go far enough. We have been accused of making it our ‘cantina’ but we will never be able to express, in words, our adoration of this restaurant. EXCELLENT!

Good value food at an excellent price. More restaurants should do a smaller menu choice like l'Amandier then they may perfect the cuisine. Wine is a bit pricey but the food is good value. It's just a pity that the restaurant has no window/terrace as it's in a beautiful location.
