We hosted our wedding welcome drinks here on July 17th and it was absolutely amazing! The staff was so warm, friendly, and attentive—our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the service and atmosphere. The venue itself was stunning and the drinks were delicious. Everything exceeded our expectations. Huge thanks to Holly and the entire team for helping us kick off our wedding weekend in the best possible way!

Lamar's has quickly become a go-to for me and my friends here in Charleston! Whether you want to host an event or pop in for cocktails and a quick bite, you can't really go wrong. Aside from the incredible cocktails, bites, and service, the atmosphere at Lamar's is what really shines — the space feels like something you'd experience in a bigger city like New York, very upscale and perfectly curated. Highly recommend Lamar's if you're looking for a fun, yet refined spot to stop in for a drink!

Absolutely love the vibe here! They feature ‘Sir Wieners’ menu from the Bravo TV show (Southern Hospitality) and let me tell you the “Wiener Tower” is amazingggggg! Loads of truffle fries and 5 different hot dogs! My favorite was the PB&J Wiener - so delicious, I ordered a second separately.

Rented the place out as a wedding after party. From the first conversation to the day after the event, the team (especially Holly) was attentive and was able to understand our goals and help us achieve them. They surprised us with a DJ for that night which was a great touch. My guests raved about the truffle fries and the drinks. The entire bartending staff were great and never had someone's hand empty. What a great end of a great day for my wife and I.

GREAT LOVAL SPOT! Ron and Jessie (at the bar) are awesome. Ainsley is the best waitress! Amazing service, food is good, drinks are amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Lamar’s is one of my favorite places in Charleston!! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are amazing. The hot dog towers they are doing right now are must!

We stopped by Republic for a cocktail and I asked TJ if he was still doing his hot dogs and he said they were at Lamar's next to Bourbon a nd Bubbles. Our plan for dinner was BTW. We walked in and walked out withing 5 minutes as it was so loud. We saw Lamar's and decided to go there. We were very happy for that decision. We had a sweet waitress who recently moved here from Maryland. We had the deviled eggs, chili dog and truffle fries. Everything was delicious.

Absolutely love everything about this place. The decor, the food, the cocktails and even the secret door. The cocktails are delicious and they have great holiday themed ones this time of year I'm a big fan of the peppermint espresso martini. If you don't get the hot dog tower, you're missing out.

Very cool bar, however it was a lot smaller than what we expected. We went on a Saturday to watch college football and they had multiple games on across 6+ different TVs which was cool. We ordered the chicken and waffles on the brunch menu which were AMAZING. Definitely more on the pricy side but we expected that.

We opted to have pre dinner cocktails and snacks at Lamar's instead of Bourbon and Bubbles. We made a great choice. We had a party of 9. Service was perfect. The cocktails and food were delicious. Caviar deviled eggs are a must. Espresso martini another must. Cheers Lamar's!!! We will be back!!

Lamar's is a fun spot to start a night out on king st! Grab a Weiner tower to try their 5 different hot dog flavors and their truffle fries! The PB time wiener has an insane Asian peanut style sauce on it that will make you want to hog that dog all to yourself!

Nice atmosphere. Great servers and bartenders. I've been here for a few events and wouldn't mind visiting on a normal evening. The vibe is laid back and upscale. The staff are very professional and attentive. Bartenders seem experienced and able to satisfy all requests.

Really nice spot and great service! But probably one of if not the worst chicken and waffles I've ever had. The batter tastes like funnel cake batter and the "syrup" is like a thick caramel sauce so just beware if you're gonna order that. Im sure the other food is great but after wasting $20 I wasn't really wanting to try anything else

Connected to bourbon and bubbles by a cute hidden book shelf as a door. Waited here at the bar til our table was ready at bourbon and bubbles. Highly suggest doing this! Got the meat and cheese as we waited. The bar is sooo cute. The hostess was so nice she even got us free champagne

Looking for a sports bar that gives a speak easy feel? Check out Lamar's! This place opened in August and def is a place to pop into if you are walking down King Street. They have TV's so you can catch football or basketball on Sunday's. The drinks are strong and they have a variety of options They do serve food but did not get anything on this visit.

Lamar's was an unexpected but good stop while waiting for our table at Bourbon n bubbles ! We went for what they're known for the "Espresso Martini" which was delicious and strong. Keep in mind it is $20 for one. My husband and I both got one so $40 for two drinks and they already add gratuity which came out to $58 total! Yikes, definitely a big tip for less than 60 second interaction but at least we got a good drink.

If I could give Lamar's more then 5 stars I would. Amazing vibes, AMAZING staff, amazing fun drinks! Also handicap accessible! Thank you Lamar's for making my 21st so special!

This was a strange experience. Encouraged to come into the club after dining at Bourbon and Bubbles. Gorgeous staff, cool space. Waited for night to fall and the DJ to start spinning, then got up to dance. Immediately got served our check... though we thought dancing was what was encouraged (chairs removed... loud, bumping music, etc.) Maybe we read the vibe wrong. Would have stayed but felt kind of shut down. Hope we misread things. Didn't stay to find out. Also. gratuity was added to our check for three drinks. Wasn't prepared for that, so heads up. Overall, cool space, just didn't know what we were getting ourselves into and left disappointed.

Had an interesting experience with one of the bouncers. The other employees reacted well and logically, which we appreciate. Overall, be careful and aware. Appreciate the response from some of the employees. Hope they all follow through.

My husband and I visited on Saturday Jan. 6, 2024. We had reservations at 6 to sit at the bar. The bartended was nice and helpful. I was so happy to see the plaque on the wall in remembrance of the late Attorney David Aylor. The drinks were really good and the atmosphere is gorgeous!! We also enjoyed the oldies tunes. Great job with this bar. I can't wait to return to try the food. -Nakeia Pinckney
