After a long hike, I was craving some delicious food and wanted to enjoy it leisurely in my car. I did a quick search and came across this food truck. The parking lot was open, so I decided to give it a try. The chicken tacos were so amazing that I didn't even bother trying anything else. I'll definitely be coming back for more! This food truck is a must-try with its wide variety of menu options. Go ahead and give it a shot.

Loved our Empanadas both beef and chicken and the $1.50 chips and salsa are a must get. The food truck parking lot atmosphere was less than ideal.

Great Peruvian food outside of Peru! The fried pork , plantains and the ceviche are all good. It is also a plus when the price is reasonable compared to many other Peruvian spots in the Bay Area. Follow my friends recommendation, we get the food to go and ate them at the brewery next door where we got some drinks with the food.

Family-owned Peruvian Restaurant. We tried the Saltado with Beef Tenderloin and the Beef Empanadas. The Beef Tenderloin is tender and delicious. The empanadas are flaky and filled with seasoned ground beef. Everything is fresh-tasting. My wife and I shared this meal and it was much more than two of us could eat.

I went today to enjoy a ceviche by the beach. I have been there last year and it was ok. But I don't know what happened to this place.. Ceviche was not good at all. I ordered limeño and mixto. Fish was with scales and hard membranes, corn and sweet potato was hard undercook. And worst of all it didn't have enough lime. I am peruvian and I feel bad thinking other people try this and think this is how peruvian Ceviche should taste. Chicha morada wasn't great either. We were lucky to find a gelato store near by to take that bad after taste

If you are in the area, this is a great casual place to eat. The Peruvian food was outstanding and it was priced reasonably. The employees were very nice. It was a great experience overall.

It's a truck. Food is really good. Taste is awesome and fresh. Biscuits are hidden one. Love them.

My friend and I love Peruvian food, we’ve gone to El Cerrito, SF Mission, Pacifica and Half Moon Bay (Lamas). Lamas is located inside of the shopping center, absolutely delicious food! The food is flavorful and authentic we get the Lomo Saltado usually with chicken or beef, rice, fries and an addictive sauce. Perfection! We’ve tried a lot of different items on the menu and everything tastes great and has flavor! This place gets walked by often and people seem to go to the fancy Peruvian spot outside instead I forgot the name of the place but it has hostesses and white table cloths but if you want real flavor and feel like you spent your money well, feel full and satisfied after a meal-try Lamas. I’ve never left this place feeling regretful I leave feeling full, like I spent my money well and like I look forward to returning to try new items on their menu. Staff is very friendly, too!

Yelp
I have been here many times but I'm not sure why the restaurant is now closed! You can still get the food from the food truck which is near by. The service was awesome and the ambiance is casual. Please open the restaurant again as I miss it!

Yelp
Excellent spot for a quick lunch in Half Moon Bay. We went to the food truck. I ordered the lomo saltado with shrimp and the cheesy yuca. I loved the lomo saltado with shrimp but would skip the cheesy yuca next time. My bf ordered the lomo saltado with steak, which he liked. I had a bite of his & it was good, but if you like seafood, shrimp is the way to go. They also serve Mexican food here, which I didn't try, but if I were in the mood for Mexican food, might be worth a try.

Yelp
Lamas was great. Service was fast and friendly. The food was bomb. I had the birria tacos - they were a hit! Husband had the lomo and it was good. Definitely pay them a visit. It's worth it. Oh p.s. this is for the food truck.

Yelp
First time trying Peruvian food and I enjoyed and ate every bite. This is a food truck set up in a parking lot. They had picnic tables set up in the lot and were pretty quick. I thought that the meat was under seasoned, but the green sauce gave it a lot of flavor... without it, it would have been bland... overall good value and quick.

Yelp
Food was Excellent Service was Good Ambiance was Excellent, its HMB suspect some wind lol Price Good would i go again,,,,,,,Yes

Yelp
I thought I've left a review but I don't see it. So just in case I didn't do it correctly and this is a repeat that's okay they deserve it! I go to this Taco truck several times a week mostly for lunch sometimes for dinner. It is consistently awesome! Not only are the people friendly and quick, the food is just absolutely amazing! Everything is always served hot if it's supposed to be and the portions are more than generous. They have a really unique variety of food and everything is always fresh! I would highly recommend this taco truck when you're in the neighborhood or even if you're not it's worth the trip to go there from wherever you live you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp and was enamored by the pictures so decided to check it out during my lunch break. The food truck was really easy to find it was in the parking lot by the harbor. I ordered the Lechonada Peruana and Cheese Yucas. Lechonada Peruana (4.5/5) The Lechonada Peruana was delicious. The pork belly was very soft and the sauce was flavorful. It was also a large serving size and I ended up eating the left overs for dinner. Cheese Yucas (2.5/5) I was very excited when I saw cheese yucas on the menu because it sounds delicious but unfortunately they were very average. They were lightly fried and fluffy but lacked flavor.

Yelp
I was visiting Prince Harbor late last summer. We were across the street at Hob Dogma, the brewery. While we were standing outside, I looked over and saw Lamas Peruvian truck. I walked over, checked out the menu and walked away. That was a mistake! Today I figured out what my mistake was. I only took a look at the Mexican menu and did not see their Peruvian offerings. Today I ordered the ceviche mixto, french fries, along with an Inca Cola. That Inca Cola took me back to my childhood. Back to thee ceviche. Oh My God, that ceviche was delicious and fresh and that freshness was verified by my fisherman friend Omar. Also, you have the option of how spicy you want your ceviche. I like heat and believe me, I got heat. He had the Grilled Chicken taco plate and was happy with it. I can wait to go back and try some more of the items on the menu, thankfully there are lot. The service is great and you can taste the pride they take in their food. Keep in mind it's a food truck and there are some nice picnic tables there.

Yelp
Hmm, I wonder what happened here. This cafe is inside the often vacant Shoppes at Harbor Village where they face stiff competition from the more renowned La Costanera. Interesting how the only two restaurants in the mall are both Peruvian like there's a ceviche face-off that's about to occur. I tried it after taking a walk from Moss Beach and decided to sit in the mall to eat. I went for the $17 Pollo Peruano, a trio of slow-cooked chicken thighs marinated in spices. It was served with salad and a scoop of white rice, and there was a thimbleful of their peppery rocoto sauce that was hardly enough to use (photo: https://bit.ly/3ulyCBx). The poultry itself was somewhat overcooked, though the offset was the $6 Platanos Dulce, a generous plating of sweetened fried plantains (photo: https://bit.ly/3bCgyMZ). I was the only one dining there except for a senior couple who stood steadfastly in front of my view of the TV with nary a thought that I was there watching. Anyway I returned a couple of months later. This time there was no sign of that senior couple. Apparently they found their remote at home. More concerning was how I stood at the counter and waited for someone to wait on me. Even though the staff came in and out of the area, absolutely no one acknowledged my existence even after I welped an apologetic "Excuse me". I won't speculate why I was ignored, but I left out of frustration and went to La Costanera. Now I know why there are two Peruvian spots in the mall. Sheesh. FOOD - 3 stars...stellar plantains overshadowed by overcooked chicken thighs AMBIANCE - 3 stars...watch out for indifferent, immobile TV watchers in the mall SERVICE - 1.5 stars...didn't feel ignored on my first visit TOTAL - 2 stars...well, I know another Peruvian place... Yelp
If you are looking for homemade good quality food this is the place! They offered both peruvian and mexican food. The service is great, owner is very friendly and makes sure everyone is okay. They have tables outside in case you want to eat there! We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommended!

Steve H.

Yelp
Excellent food! The beef fajitas are delicious and so are the crispy tacos. Definitely a cut above a lot of the taco trucks I've been too.

Kirstin E.

Yelp
Phenomenal food! Well worth the stop! Very authentic Peruvian food and clearly a great local following. Will return!

Yelp
We've been coming to this restaurant for a few years now and Service/Food is always great but today we had some issues with our order/quality of food. We ordered the Ceviche Trio, Lomo Saltado de Carne, Plantanos Dulces, Choritos A La Chalaca, Guacamole with Chips and Chicha Morada $80. First Issue we had was with the Ceviche Trio $25. One of the Ceviche with the squid in it was inedible. It was hard and couldn't chew it because it wasn't left enough time for the lemon to cure it. The owner know this as she said she was going to make it as they were out. Second issue was the Choritos a La Chalaca $13. They were delicious but two of them weren't clean properly and the mussle beards were still left in the mussle. Plantanos Dulces $6 we're delicious as always with a side of crema. Lomo Saltado de Carne $20 was delicious although it seems the plate has less meat than previous times we visited. The lady at the register was very nice and helpful so was the man that was helping her drop off food but let's talk about the owners nasty attitude and lack of caring to hear about the muscle still having the beards attached. As a previous restaurant manager I appreciate feedback when things like this happen and in this industry you need to know how to professionally take criticism but when I mentioned it quietly (even spoke Spanish in hopes that other customers didn't understand) to the owner she had a snarky remark and brushed it of like she wasn't at fault she asked me why I didn't return them. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything. I wanted her to be aware of the situation. I know what it is and just removed it but any other customers would of thought it was hairs or something worse. Her bad attitude and her not wanting to replace the inedible ceviche in the first place was a total deal breaker for us (granted later she did replace it but before that she told the server to tell me she wasn't going to since I had already taken the plate‍). Sadly we will not be coming back to eat here any longer. There's other great choices in the area (Mezza Luna, Barbara's Fish Trap, Seafood Market) and I refuse to support any buisness where the owner has a crappy attitude for something she were at fault for. For her sake I hope her Chef doesn't keep calling out as her cooking isn't as great as his is.

Yelp
-Bistek A La Probre [rib eye, fries, rice, fried egg, fried plantains, sautéed tomatoes and onions] ($22) mhmmm so freaking bomb - ive never had Peruvian food before and this is truly one of the most amazing dish i tried recently!! I love the combination of the sweet, the savory, and the spices were so well balanced ‍ besides the amazing food options that were available the staff were equally as amazing. he even shared with us his house made special spicy sauce which was SPICCYY but paired so well with what we were having. The item on the menu I ordered was on the day special -- though it may not permanently be on their menu they have something very similar. i'd say that it's half outdoor and a half indoor meaning that it is not directly inside the restaurant itself but it's outside within the plaza/hallway. if y'all are in the area make sure to stop by bc 10/10 its so so worth the try tip: large parking lot, shared plaza bathroom with a code (make sure you ask the restaurant staff)

Jessica G.

Yelp
Amazing Peruvian food! Friendly, quick service, food had great flavor, presentation was perfect; you can taste the quality of ingredients used. Will definitely be back. This is our new fav...better than Limón! I've eaten at both locations in Burlingame and SF, and have had home cooked Peruvian food, Lamas is authentic!

DeAnna G.

Yelp
We were very excited to try this restaurant and unfortunately, it didn't cut it. When we drove into the parking lot we saw the food truck and I'd wanted a sit down restaurant. We called to verify and the restaurant is inside the empty glass mall, at the very end. Restrooms are a few businesses away and you need a code to get in. The gentleman helping us was very patient and helpful at the counter. You order, pay, then take a number for them to deliver it to your table. I had expected something different. We had ordered the plantains as dessert and they arrived first, as an appetizer. These were delicious! However, it said it came with a side of sour cream and instead it had the consistency and taste of cream cheese. Our drink, chicha morada, was also very good. However, it was not refreshing and cold as I had expected. My son had a seafood dish Pescado a La Macho and he thought was okay, but he said the rock fish was delicious! I ordered a pasta dish with steak Tallarin Saltado and I couldn't chew the steak. It seemed like it was just compromised of left over pieces of gristle. Completely disgusting! Once our food was served, we were never checked on again.

Bryce C.

Yelp
A truly exceptional place, not one bad bite all around. After hiking all day we wanted something that was fast with a big portion. We found this place on our way back to SF, and decided to go with the chicharron and the rockfish ceviche. Food was out within 10 minutes despite being busy, and prices were extremely affordable. The portion sizes are large, I could barely finish my meal and I was super hungry. I highly recommend the chicharron, you get a ton of pork, and it's served with yuca fries, pickled onions, and sweet potatoes. Such a fresh tasting meal! I truly could not get enough. The ceviche was equally good. Super fresh tasting as well, absolutely perfect for a summer day. I believe both were under $20, so you really can't complain. Highly recommend this spot, wish I could have tried more.

Cid Y.

Yelp
The food truck charges extra for utensils... what more can l say. Food is good but zero amenities.

Arika G.

Yelp
Took a last minute trip to Half Moon Bay this weekend. I was getting hangry so after putting our name on the waitlist for a restaurant, we came to Lamas food truck to check out the menu. Their menu is split - one side is Mexican and the other side Peruvian. We ordered the Arroz De Mariscos, Super Quesadilla with Peruvian chicken and the Lomo Saltado burrito. Everything had so much flavor. Loved the arroz - so good and filling with a good amount of seafood. Everything made fresh to order. Will definitely be back here again!

La N.

Yelp
This food truck was VERY GOOD! They have several tables set up outside in the parking lot. We walked up and were greeted. I ordered a fish taco plate. That comes with rice and beans and Hibicuis tea, my husband ordered a chicken burrito and a bottle of sprite. Our total came to a little over $40. I think it's a little expensive for a food truck. For that I had to knock a star off. The taco plate was full and the burrito was big! I didn't get any pictures. But if you're ever in the area, stop by and check them out

Meghan A.

Yelp
Stopped in with our one month old for a quick late lunch. Dining indoors. Swift service, really sweet staff. Food was AMAZING. We enjoyed a large portion of ceviche, Chaufa and my personal favorite Tallarin Saltado with shrimp and steak, the noodles soak up the yummy flavor of the sauce!

Shaun G.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch. Have been here before for dinner. I like trying the Peruvian dishes. This time the chicken Lomo Saltado was ordered and the Lechonada Peruana were ordered. The Lomo Saltado had good flavor and was well liked. The Lechonada was also good, the only minor problem is a little to much fat on the pork belly but what would you expect? This is the first time I had pork belly cooked like that and not fried. I'm sure it must be healthier that way. The staff is always friendly and it has never been to busy there. I will be stopping by again.

Lorena G.

Yelp
I am good judge of food because I've been to many countries , this place offer an authentic food such as chicharones, lomo saltado - taster will bring you back to where this food is coming from. For me eating every culture food is knowing them ! The staff are passionate on what they do ! Must TRY!

Lily L.

Yelp
Food is good; service is disappointing. Arroz de Mariscos: Usually my favorite Peruvian dish, their version was pretty good. Lomo Saltado: OK tasting but I wouldn't order this again. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor. Chicharron: DELICIOUS!!! Definitely the best dish I tried here. And I can confidently say it is one of the best pork chicharron I've had anywhere. Don't leave here without trying it. Fried Yuca: good Fried plantains: this is one of those dishes that can be hit or miss. It really depends on how ripe the plantains are when they serve it. We were very lucky that the plantains were ripe so they were plump, sweet and absolutely delicious. Chicha Morada: Weak in flavor. Despite the cups of chicha morada coming out of the drink refrigerator, they were slightly warm. Not sure if it was just made and didn't have time to cool down. We tried it as is and it was weak. After adding ice to get it cold, it was really watered down. Service was non-existent. They require you to order inside and pay/tip ahead of eating. We gave a good tip only to find out we had to get our own drinks and carry them out to our table. They brought out our appetizer but we had no plates. We had to make many trips inside asking for plates, utensils, and cups of ice for our drinks. This was no different than ordering at a fast food restaurant so why should they ask for a tip up front? I think a good tip is warranted for good service but this place gave us no service :(

KC C.

Yelp
Needed a quick snack with my beer at Hopdogma, so I sent my hubby to the food truck right outside in the parking lot. Whoa! Didn't expect my burrito bowl would be this tasty. For $10, this bowl packs a punch. It has everything I want...veggies, lean protein and low carbs. I could eat this every day! The hubby loves his shrimp burrito and I love my burrito bowl. It's a win win for everyone. And of course, it pairs nicely with the beers at Hopdogma. Would totally go back again!

Taylor W.

Yelp
I love this place! Their food truck comes to my company 1x or 2x a week and I fell in love with their food after trying lomo saltado. So last weekend, I took my spouse to Half Moon Bay to try the restaurant, and they did not disappoint us. Lomo saltado was amazing like always and chicharron was also very good! The fries and the pork bellies in chicharron were both super crispy and the pickled onion was the perfect palate cleanser. The beef in the lomo saltado was very tender and flavorful (like always), and the onions added extra flavor to the dish. The fries and the rice were perfectly seasoned and delicious as well. Tomatoes and the green sauce (don't know what it's called) are always my favorites of this dishes. They closed their restaurant on the Nov 16th but still have the food trucks in the parking lot. If you haven't tried their food, I highly recommend you to do so!!

Preeti S.

Yelp
Amazing food, affordable prices, and quick service!! We had the ceviche, birria tacos, and yucca fries--absolutely delicious.

Yelp
"I don't want to go to Peru." How do you know? You've never been there." I've never been to hell either and I'm pretty sure I don't want to go there." ― Richard Paul Evans, The Sunflower We were on a mission to get Carissa's brother to try as many different cultural cuisines as we could on his visit here. So when a Peruvian place popped-up whilst we were in HMB we decided why not? Pros: -Horchata ($3) was definitely homemade and probably one of the best I've ever had -Plantains app ($6) more on the starchy (i.e., not sweet) side but that was fine with me. I enjoyed the concomitant spicy crema dipping sauce that came w/ it--but it could've been a little spicier. -Pollo Peruano ($17) was evidently bomb, but I only got one bite =( -Friendly service -Fast-casual (my favorite) -Arroz de Mariscos ($20) was satisfying and filled with seafood--but might be too "fishy" for some. Cons: -Despite the great location on the wharf, the restaurant is inside some kind of mini-mall? TL/DR: great dining option w/ solid chow, good service, fair prices and good location. I want to come back and try their fusion Peruvian pizzas!

ale c.

Yelp
Lamas is our go to Peruvian place in the area. Neither la costanera or puerto satisfy our cravings like this place does! Lomo, chicharrón, ceviches, grilled chicken, yuca, tallarines--everything we've tried is spot on! You can buy their food and eat at the brewery too!

Melissa T.

Yelp
If ever you are in the HMB area, especially near the harbor, then you should stop at either the food truck in the parking lot, or the actual restaurant inside the mall for Lamas Peruvian food. They are consistently good, with a vast menu of options (including pizza, which I have yet to try) and the truck is conveniently located near HopDogma distillery, where you can order some beer and enjoy your food from Lamas in peace. It's also a treat if you were wanting to get into nearby La Costanera, and were unable to walk in because you need a reservation weeks in advance. No fear! Just turn around and Lamas is right there to serve you. Quick, affordable and really good!

May L.

Yelp
Charming restaurant(s) with a variety of foods. It's a bit confusing because it is located inside the mall, and seating is outside the restaurant in the mall area. There are essentially 3 restaurants within 2 different store fronts, lamas pizza, lama Mexican food, and lama Peruvian food. While it is 2 separate store fronts, you order all food on the lama pizzeria side. Confusing right?! We stuck with Mexican and Peruvian foods for our lunch and it was delicious. I would definitely come back. We ordered the carne asada burrito, a spicy chicken dish that came with 2 chicken thighs/salad/rice, and the lomo saltado. We finished everything except the huge burrito, which we were happy to take home to snack on later. The wait staff was attentive and kind. Sometimes I want something other than the touristy clam chowder, fish & chip places. This was a perfect alternative.

Ronald B.

Yelp
Best Peruvian Rockfish Ceviche I can remember including Peru. Unbelievably well prepared very fresh fish melts in your mouth stimulating taste buds with an array of complex well balanced citrus marinade. Fresh red rocoto ring placed on the dish affords patron the opportunity to add zest of spice to taste as fresh rockfish becomes infused with fresh red rocoto's unique essence. Complemented with sweet potato, green leaf, and perhaps the absolute best Cancha toasted corn this dish is to be savored and cherished. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable accommodating staff Lamas casual atmosphere order at counter service and sidewalk cafe style well appointed tables under the glass roofed "Shoppers at Harbor Village" mall is like an open air experience not to be missed. Surrounding area, harbor, and walk about by the bay provide further enhancement to this destination. Well worth your visit!

miguel o.

Yelp
New number to order is 650-797-9866 they relocated to a food truck and is 100% best food around after a Long Beach day.

Nicole B.

Yelp
Lomo Saltado burrito - it was good and got better with each bite! Definitely coming back for that! Also ordered a side of fries, rice and beans for the babies. Didn't care much for the fries but they ate the rice and beans. Would love to try more of their menu next time. We ordered from the truck at the parking lot this time, but there's also a dine-in restaurant in the Harbor Village shops building. There were quite a few folks enjoying their meals when we walked by.

Claudia D.

Yelp
I always have to come and visit this restaurant when I visit Half Moon Bay. The food is always so delicious and the service is great! I love the flavors and the portion sizes are always filling. The yuca frita was so good I had to get a separate order. It was so crispy and it wasn't oily. The pollo peruano was juice and tender with so much flavor. But my number one thing I always order is the ceviche trio is to die for!! If will recommend you get the anticuchos and the ceviche trio. They are the best, trust me!

Neleh H.

Yelp
We searched yelp for dinner in HMB & this sounded interesting. Parking was easy on Saturday night & staff were all very friendly & helpful. One can order from the pizza, Mexican, and/ or Peruvian menus. Ate our Lomo Saltado burrito, and arroz mariscos plate ( fish, mussels, shrimp, calamari ) , Drank the horchata & chica morada , watched futbol on TV. Fresh & delicious food! We left happy & will be back.

Rebekah C.

Yelp
Delicious! I got the lomo saltado and it was amazing. Reminded me of a homemade meal. The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned. The fried egg on top was a nice touch. My husband had the shrimp burrito which was equally as flavorful. And for dessert we had the alfajores cookies. Yummm! Will def be back.

Winson L.

Yelp
Omg what a treat.... Ordered Ceviche Mixto and Lomo Saltado from the food truck; to devour with beer at Hop Dogma next door! So definitely coming back to this GEM! Worth the drive from SF!

Kyung J.

Yelp
I had the pescado a lo macho. It had fish, shrimp, mussels, and octopus. It came with rice and yucca fries. The dish was unbearably salty but fries were good. The servers were really nice. Dinner, glass of wine on a vinyl top table was just under $40. Next time I think I'll just do a pizza take out.

Fabiola S.

Yelp
My husband and I bumped into this restaurant on our way out from lunch at La Costanera. Lamas is authentic homemade Peruvian food. The service and food were exceptional. The owner was very pleasant and walked us through the menu. I would hands downs go back to Lamas as opposed to La Costanera. If you want authentic and well portioned Peruvian dishes, try Lamas!!

Joseph L.

Yelp
Lamas Sign - I've been to many many Caribbean Islands and Costal Towns - by far this was the most delicious Ceviche combo plate I've eaten in years. My wife raved about the bowl with Pollo. I tried a bite and the flavors were genuine Peruvian! Sooooo good - don't get scared away if the inside of the Mall like location seems quiet. The owner was helpful, smiled and followed up on our experience. It's a casual but enjoyable atmosphere - but the food is what I came for and I was not disappointed, I fact I was pleasantly surprised!! If you go to half moon bay - go to Lamas

Geminyna J.

Yelp
Seafood pizza, paella mariscos, ceviche mixto, lomo saltado, wet burritos. Lamas has literally something for everyone! It isn't easy catering to a large group of foodies, and our kids in tow, but the kind folks at Lamas took great care of our party of 11 by accommodating every specific request and each of our super customized orders. I was weary of Lamas offering SO MUCH, generally speaking you can only do a FEW things well and toss the rest up to mediocrity. But after trying every seafood dish on the Peruvian menu, several burritos off the Mexican menu, + 3 custom pizzas, it was consistently amazing. From fresh ingredients to perfect crust. Highly Recommend saming their vast menus of Peruvian, Mexican, & Pizza offerings. From the Pizza Menu: Massive 24" XL spanning the width of the table. Create Your Own pizzas allowed each family to put together their own pies with unique combinations like lomo saltado, shrimp, tomatoes, red onions, cilantro, and garlic. From the Mexican Menu: Forearm-sized al pastor wet burrito in green or red sauce with sides of crema Mexicana, guac, & pico de gallo was legit. Chalkful of FILLING not filler, no skimping here. From the Peruvian Menu: Arroz de Mariscos - Peruvian paella with shrimp, mussels, octopus, & calamari. The accompanying side of jalapeno cream sauce was enough to light the plate on fire. As an addition to my paella, the manager gave our server the okay to charge me for a custom "side order" of lomo saltado (sin arroz): $10. Full entree con arroz $19. The fries were perfect. Loved the sauteed veggies in soy balsamic glaze. I only wish the steak was medium rare. It was a bit more cooked and not as tender as I prefer, since the steak is no longer made with ribeye. Skip: We didn't have room for dessert and opted to take home alfajores Peruvian cookies. The dulce filling was on point but honestly the shortbread my mom makes for her alfajores are amazing. These packages of Rosi's alfajores cookies were underwhelming, the chalky consistency was off-putting and the lard left my tongue a little filmy. That aside, Lamas was a hit. Nestor, the owner, came by frequently along with Lamas' manager to ensure our fam had what we needed from the time we were seated until we departed. We got to eat, drink, and be merry without feeling ushered out. There was a large LCD TV showing the game. That along with breathtaking ocean views was the icing on the cake. Thanks, Nestor & Lamas Crew! Can't wait to return. Meanwhile, we'll be looking out for the Lamas Food Truck at Off The Grid!

Yelp
We lucked up on this place driving around. The burritos are tasty and not overly packed with beans/rice but don't miss out on the South American cuisine. The lomo saltado had very tender, seasoned meat with a perfect egg to top it off. This food truck pumps out top notch food and great service. I'm happiest with the portions they provide for the cost and the variety on the menu. We'll be coming back.

Yelp
This food is AMAZING!! We had the chicharron, arroz con mariscos and tallarin saltado. They were ALL delicious The noodles for the tallarin saltado were perfectly cooked and were so flavorful. Also the steak was very tender and also very flavorful. The arroz con mariscos was the best Latin rice I've ever had! It was also full of seafood and a very large portion. The chicharrons came with sweet potato fries and yuca, it was my least favorite of the three but it's only because the other two were sooooooo good Service was also great. Our server was very kind and attentive. I DEFINITELY recommend

Yelp
I got the lomo saltado and my friend got the pollo asado. The staff was super accommodating and had a smile the whole time. The food was delicious and the green sauce was soo good! It's a cute little Good Truck right by the harbor.

Yelp
The Peruvian side of my family agrees: this place is better than Puerto 27. A hidden gem with better menu variety than limón and better seafood quality than puerto 27. Real Peruvian food, delicious, generous portions, and kind wait staff at this family run restaurant. We had the Aji de gallina, arroz de mariscos, pescado a lo macho, and ceviche. Seriously incredible seafood with a great vibe.

Yelp
Awesome spot. This was our second time here and it did not disappoint. Great service and great food. This time our group was of 8 people. We had no wait to be seated. They were cleaning and sanitizing our tables and chairs as we placed our order inside. This is very much appreciated, specially during this times. My husband and I both had the lomo saltado as our entree, and the chicken causa as our appetizer, delish! The meat was tender and juicy, our causa was very good as well (highly recommend). Next time your in Half Moon Bay give this place a try, you will not regret it.
