My brother has lived in Powell for many years but had never been to the Lamplighter (though he had heard that it was good). I was in town visiting him, just for the afternoon, and he took me there for lunch. First of all, we came in toward the end of their lunchtime hours (45 minutes til closing) and often people don't really want to seat/serve you that late (and you can tell). If the lady who seated us minded, we sure couldn't tell. The gal who seated us was very accomodating and friendly. The blonde lady (with glasses) who took our order was wonderful, giving us a genuine, welcoming smile and then later, a wonderful lunch. I had shrimp, salad, and "fries" (cut differently than the classic) that were really yummy. My brother had a French Dip. Suffice to say he ate every bite. The food was good but our server was really the exception here. So nice to be greeted so warmly. I don't know her name but I know this will be a place my brother will go again, now that he has finally discovered it.
