Yelp
My honest rating for this is a solid 3.5 stars. I used to live in the area when this first opened. Every time I drove by, there was ALWAYS a line to get in, so I waited for the grand opening hype to die down. Lam's is located where the Big Lots used to be in Southcenter. There's parking in the big shopping plaza where Ulta, party city, Best Buy is, or toward the back side, which is across from Nordstrom Rack, therefore 2 separate entrances.
If you come from the entrance where party city is, you'll see a Vietnamese restaurant up front, and towards your left, a bbq/dim sum to go place, a sugarcane/boba stall, poke bar, and Dochi. After walking passed those places, you'll get to the market itself. You will be asked to wait in order to get in if they've reached capacity. Since this market is still fairly new, its upkeep is very bright and clean. My downside to this is you kind of get the chaotic feel when you take a trip to the great wall at 99 ranch. Crowded, cramped, carts blocking your way, and etc. They tried to make the aisles as spacious as possible, but still with all the shoppers there, it still feels small. The produce area has a vast variety of greens and fruits with fair prices. More or less compared to 99 Ranch, and cheaper compared to Uwajimaya, if this helps. There, I also found a papaya salad kit, which was pretty cool. I don't make that often for myself, so a small kit would be perfect for me. The seafood department had some great selections as well. Fresh fish, shell fish, and even lobsters. Sliced meats for Kbbq style is also offered for a reasonable price, and packaged nicely too! Once you circle around the market, you'll get to the cold drinks and fresh deli area where you can spot the banh mi, offered with chicken, pork, or combination. There's also little cakes and other desserts for your sweet cravings. One of the aisles also offer small home décor, which was neat. Spices, snacks, your favorite noodles, canned goods, familiar Asian sauces and kitchen gadgets are also sold there.
The cashiers there are friendly, but always busy. Lam's overall is pretty nice, and I wouldn't mind coming back when I'm in the area. I'd probably steer away during the weekend, as I'm sure it's their busiest times. They definitely have great deals on seafood prices/quality, and their meats.
