Boyd Gaming reopens nine of its local casinos with dining options on June 4 | Eater Vegas

"The property's quick-service outlet will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 a.m., providing extended-hour grab-and-go options while following the resort's social distancing and sanitization protocols." - Susan Stapleton

Located in the Fremont Hotel, and while it's budget-friendly, it felt very reminiscent of fast-food chains like Panda Express. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed; the food looked like it had been sitting out for a while. Instead of opting for the noodles or fried rice, I went with white rice, General Tso's chicken, and beef and broccoli. Sadly, I found the flavors lacking, and the food wasn't served hot enough for my taste. I've had breakfast here before, and it was decent, so I think if you stick to options like burgers, chicken dishes, or breakfast sandwiches and burritos, you might have a better experience. Overall, if you're looking for a quick and affordable meal, Lanai Express might fit the bill, but be prepared for a casual fast-food vibe. Extra star for the service!

My partner and I were hungry and stopped here for lunch. Ordering was easy. $9.99 two item special. We had the fried rice with sweet and sour pork and orange chicken. Small place with a few tables. Food was very bland. My partner never throws away food, but said he could not eat this tasteless drival. Being from SF, I expected at least a bit of flavor. Food looked good and you do get a lot for your money. If very hungry, then stop here to fill up cheap.

Google
It’s a hurry up and order place. There is a communication barrier which also makes it hard to get quality service. (Don’t let these photos fool you, things that look good, aren’t always good) You can only get a double entree plate if you want fired rice. They don’t allow you to sample the food which is a red flag for me. We got the orange chicken with fried rice and veggie egg roll. And a chili and cheese hotdog. All were extremely unsatisfying to say the least. Not sure what meat is in the rice, I didn’t realize it had meat in it until I sat down to eat. I hope it’s not pork. I took a couple bits and threw it all away. Try at your own risk.

Late night, drunk, and on Fremont. Not many other quick fast food options so it always satisfies me. Always get the orange chicken and beef and broccoli with noodles. Always interesting conversations with the staff and late night folks around as well!

I was given no parsley, steak cooked as ordered. Potatoes were decent and eggs were cooked correctly. I might be a bit harsh but the way it was really long considering the line.

Mannn DJones . I read your review and mannn I should’ve read it before I ate there I’m here in Vegas now & my stomach is turning . The soup was alright but idk if the potss and pans needa be cleaned . Never again

Google
Very comfortable and very clean dining area the food was good the general tso's chicken was good chow mein not so much the chow mein was made with ramen noodles so the texture wasn't that great otherwise the rest of the food here is pretty good

Eat LITERALLY anywhere but here. I went yesterday and saw they were out of beef and broccoli, I asked the woman how long til the next batch and ahe goes in the back, come back and says 20 minutes. My dumbass waited about 30 minutes for nothing. If they cant even serve the food, imagine how it taste. Please, im a local. If you're in town from out if town looking for Chinese food, SKIP THIS PLACE! Skip the whole casino as a whole, the security there sucks too and will harass you because they literally have nothing better to do. I expected more from them and they failed me. I legit won't go back into this establishment. EDIT** I gave them another try because I was really craving Chinese food. I cant even finish this lo mein, beef, and broccoli. Idk how to explain it, but it dont taste like Chinese food.

Yelp
While visiting Fremont with family, we hit that point where everyone was hungry. Since it was my nephew's birthday, he got the deciding vote. His pick? Chinese food. Luckily, I knew just the spot nearby--Lanai Express, tucked inside the Fremont Hotel (which, by the way, has definitely gotten a nice facelift). The restaurant itself has been refreshed too, with a clean white look replacing the old yellow vibe. The menu hit the mark right away. Everyone went with the 2-choice plate option, while I went for Spam musubi (had to!) and the chicken wings. The General Tso's, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef were crowd favorites. My musubi was solid, but the chicken wings? Excellent--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I made everyone try one, and they agreed. Big hugs to the chef for that one! On a past visit, I also tried their oxtail soup, and it was pretty good--hearty, flavorful, and a nice surprise to find at a quick-serve spot like this. On top of it all, the service was warm and friendly. The lady behind the counter had such a pleasant vibe, which made the experience even better. If you're downtown and looking for a quick, affordable bite with both Chinese favorites and some island flair, Lanai Express is definitely worth a stop. Njoy

Yelp
Just such an awful experience on Sunday night we went in for the late night special $9.99 steak and eggs and hashbrowns but no toast which makes no sense... charge me $10.99 if you need to to include toast but I guess they just don't have it. It's a Chinese restaurant trying to pull off something that They're not capable of doing . Anyway, we ordered our food and the cashier that was working Gave it to the wrong people and after about 20 minutes when I asked her what was taking so long she said I'm sure it's coming. I said if that's true then why are the people that are eating steak and eggs telling me this isn't what they ordered but they were eating it anyway. Then when I go back up for a second time to see what the delay is, she asked me my name or order number I tell her and she says we don't have that order.. Finally, we go back up and ask for a refund and after about 10 minutes a couple managers show up no apologies and they gave us our money back, but gave us our food and by then it was just too late Also, they had a military veteran in there who was having something to eat, and they only give out one complementary cup of water. He wanted a 2nd cup of water and they refused him and told him that if he wanted more, he would have to buy bottled water. It's no wonder Las Vegas is dying with service like this. The Fremont should be ashamed that they treat a military veteran like that, and there is no late night supervision at all. You cannot just put hourly employees in charge of a restaurant and hope for the best that's a bad way of doing business. .

Yelp
SEVEN WORDS: PRICY CAFE-SRYLE CHINESE CAFE / TASTY OX-TAIL SOUP. . We stopped in to Fremont Casino to Escape the Heat (and get Ramen), but Somo Noodle was closed for Lunch, so we opted for Lanai Express, a variation on a Mark Pi or Panda Express. The thing is...this style of fast food is VERY HIT OT MISS. In this Case: a Big Miss. . I ordered the 2-for-1 Combo (Garlic Pork + General Tso with Lo Mein). Both proteins (Pork for One, Chicken on the Other) we tough and overcooked. Among the worst Chic I en I've had in all but the Worst Stir-Fry restaurants I've tried. The Veggies were so-so: Peas, Green Peppers, and Onions. The Sauce was Standard. Lastly, The Lo Mein in my Combo tastes More like Grocery Ramen. Very Unsatisfying. . The lone bright spot was the Ox-Tail Soup. It's reminiscent of Filipino/Cantonese Street Food. The Oxtail was meaty and fatty. If you're adventurous, you'll love it. If you're not, you may not enjoy it like my Pinoy Wife or her Friends. It's a solid 4 or 5. The Price was $20 for a 16 ounce Bowl. That's mostly because of the rarity. It was very good- and still worth the price. . Still, I cannot bring myself to rate this a 2. It's a decent 2-star place, even if on ghe low-end of the scale. I would probably not return to eat gere; On the Other Hand, my wife probably would - just for the Ox-Tail Soup.

Yelp
Not exactly a spot I'd be going to since I had no idea it existed, but my cousin from Hawaii said their oxtail soup was better than the one at Market Cafe just down the street at the California Hotel (admittedly, the line was just too long so I pivoted here instead). Well, he's sort of right. I'd say it's on par with California's version. The portions are huge and meaty. You will definitely be full after this meal. Broth was light and could've used a little more flavor. The oxtail, however, was super tender, as it should be, and had some nice fat on it. Served with a scoop of rice, which is how you should eat it. Priced at around $20, I think this is a very competitive price for what you're getting. So this review is just about the oxtail only, so I don't know about the other items on the menu. It's supposed to be a quick fast food stop, so don't expect the other stuff to be too memorable. They had pre-cooked, Panda Express style Chinese food sitting under some heat lamps that just didn't look great at all. So I'm just going to say that the oxtail soup is probably the best thing here. Another negative is that the eating area is kind of messy and they aren't too diligent about cleaning up. Unfortunately, many of the patrons just don't have any manners and they leave a lot of mess behind. Other than that, I'd come back just for the oxtail.

Yelp
Didn't get a chance to eat here but wanted to share the menu for diners. We stayed at the California casino so this was very close by and you are able to use food vouchers here.

Yelp

Yelp
The only Aloha here... Literally talking about using the Aloha coupon from our Vacation Hawaii package though I'm aware of the locations the time of various places were able to go has a time limit which I sadly found out but thankfully here at Lanai Express though not open for 24 hrs (11am to 7am) you're still able to grab a bite at the wee early hours without fail. Though on that part was a slight fail...being very short staffed there was literally just a few items to order...orange chicken, Teri chicken and sweet sour pork. So we decided to order just one plate and one saimin and though my plate came with a drink I'm not fond of fountain drinks and passed on that. The vibe here is chill with a food court type of setting you're able to eat there or we took ours back to the room but did sneak a few bites and maybe cause we were so hungry it was heavenly. The staff did other best regardless and hope that the shortage doesn't go on for too long. Thank you!

Yelp
Great quick cheap eats! The musubi and malasadas are the best. I love that they are open all night.
google avatar

Yelp
In the Freemont Casino, I found Chinese food not in the food court. Had the two choice plate. Chow mein with beef broccoli and sweet and sour pork. Noodles were really good. Just like back home. The beef broccoli was good. The broccoli was nice, green, and crunchy, considering I don't know how long it's been sitting there. There is a lot of what looks like red chili peppers, but the dish IS NOT HOT. Sweet and sour pork was very battery. The pork was hard and dry. Service was about average, considering there were three of the behind the counter talking. Can say much about the place to eat. There are tables and chairs. Plus, it's in the casino. Pros: For sure, get the chow main and the beef broccoli if you like broccoli like I do Cons: Skip the sweet and sour pork unless you like a lot of batter in you, sweet and sour. Would I go back? For the chow mein and broccoli.

Yelp
Have no t been in this spot for a while. Ordered 2 item combo with fried rice, orange chicken and general tsao chicken. The hot food line did not have fresh food. The rice as overcooked, both chicken dishes were chewy and sometimes hard to eat. With the price of $11.99, the food could be much more fresh and tasty.

Yelp
Very similar to a Panda Express. Meh food at not-too-awful prices, which means that for Vegas it's a good deal.

Yelp
I was staying next-door at Binions, and I had not had oxtail for 40 years, since I had been in the Navy in Hawaii. I heard that they had it here, I had to come over. The service was a bit slow. There was a bit of a line, even at 10 PM. Just one person was working the line, with another person, grabbing things here and there and helping out in general. Overall, the seating area was clean. I ordered a large soda, a shrimp cocktail, which is a staple of downtown Vegas, and of course, the oxtail. I don't remember the price of the shrimp cocktail, but it was reasonable. It was delicious. A very decent sized portion of baby shrimp, and a delicious cocktail sauce. The oxtail, which was $19, was worth every penny. They make it to order. The meat was just literally falling off the bone. it was tender and delicious. The broth also had green onions, mushrooms, and I chose to have cilantro in mine. Everything was just so rich and delicious.. it also comes with a generous portion of rice. You can put as much or little as you like into the broth. I was very happy, and I will be back. Thank you.

Yelp
OXTAIL LACKED FLAVOR. Food was all dried out and did not look appetizing. Tables were dirty and trash all over the floor. Cashiers had no service skills. What a disappointment. Do not recommend.

Yelp
We were walking doing some sight seeing, shopping n drinking on Fremont experience. So we decided to to take a break n go test out our luck.So we came to the Fremont hotel n casino. We played a few games then we worked up an appreciate. So we came to this eating establishment. So we had a late night dinner.I ordered the 2 choice combo.I picked half fried noodles n fried rice. Then I chose the orange chicken n pork with black beans.I enjoyed it.It had the right taste n not to overly seasoned.Unfortunately I forget to take a picture of it.We returned the next day.My girlfriend wanted to try there Oxtail soup n I wanted to try there chicken burger. So she enjoyed the Oxtail it was perfect! Also plus they serviced it the whole day!.You don't have to wait a certain time to have it like the other place. As far as my chicken burger?I enjoyed it as well. The fries was seasoned perfectly n the chicken burger had a wonderful taste to it!..I wouldn't mine ordering this again. Also the Malasada was good as well. The cream filling was tasty perfect for an ending of a good meal. The staff was friendly n nice.So when back in Vegas we will definitely be come back here..

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect, the workers were very pleasant, but the food not so much! I ordered the general kung pao chicken and the orange chicken. The orange chicken texture was very mushy and the general kung pao had way too much salt. In my opinion save your $15 for 2 entrees it's not worth it, well maybe if you need to sober up. Happy tasting!

Yelp
Whenever I'm craving oxtail - which is pretty often, I come here! There's normally a line at all hours. Dining area can be messy and tables haven't been wiped down. There's always napkins and silverware so that's a good thing cuz we normally don't eat our oxtail there we get it to go. I like the oxtail soup here and they are generous with their portions - my bowls are always full to the top! Workers are nice and patient, I stand in line & see what they have to deal with sometimes.... I'll always be back as long as the oxtail soup is good!
google avatar

Ed B.

Yelp
If there was Zero star option Sat 04-26-25 over Sun 04-27-25 between midnight and 1am was a fiasco.. stood in line 15-20 minutes they shut the Chinese line down and tell everyone in line that you can still order on the menu 30 minutes later they shut the whole restaurant down -cause their workers can't work and la big fiasco with customers, employees and security happens .. and no one gets food ... restaurants in casinos should be readily available at all times ... patrons gamble are over served on alcohol and just want FOOD ! Claim jumper at golden nugget was open that's where we ended up! LANAI needs some help
google avatar

Yelp
This used to be a favorite place for me to get oxtail soup. However, I feel like most places the food portion has gotten smaller but the price has gotten higher. We got to the restaurant at opening (11am) and ordered the oxtail soup. What was disappointing was that the soup was just warm. To be honest, the rice that it came with was hotter than the soup. There were a couple of good sized oxtail in the soup, but the toppings were very limited. For $20 I was expecting more. I'm not sure if this is a place to come back to or is it time to find another lunchtime / late night meal.
google avatar

Barbie H.

Yelp
Nice for a quick bite, but don't expect much. It's not really very good at all. The rice is mushy and the meat is tough and fatty. They have other options that I haven't tried but I was not impressed with the Chinese food.

Yelp
Snacking in Las Vegas, Nevada... I saw a sign on the wall of the Fremont Hotel: 99 cents for a shrimp cocktail... Let's try it! The Fremont Hotel is in Downtown Las Vegas. It's an older hotel with a mixture of customers - locals, tourists, young adults, kupuna, and everyone in-between! There was a line of people because Lanai Express is cafeteria style. Just give your request to the next staff and they will line up the orders for the cashier to tally up. I think the hold up is the people who have the coupon books from Vacations Hawaii... LOL! They get to redeem coupons for items with the palm tree icons on the menu. If they have too many coupons, they can trade them in for packaged cookies, caramel popcorn, muffins, etc. I know the drill because I redeem my coupons at The Cal! Haha! It seemed familiar! Anyway, standing behind those customers, I finally paid for my Shrimp Cocktail and took a seat in the dining area. It's shared with Dunkin Donuts. There's a self-service area to get napkins and utensils. The shrimp cocktail turned out to be small bay shrimp on top of cocktail sauce. The sauce was spicy for me and there were bits of crunchy celery. It was challenging to eat, but I got through it... Haha! For 99 Cents, it's an amusing snack! Maybe I'll try the Prime Rib dip or hamburger next time... I'm afraid of the Chinese food! LOL!
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
This may be the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten in my life I should have known never trust a Chinese place with the word express in it. There was bones in the chicken. The noodles were dry. Everything was totally disgusting. there for five minutes before the girl decided to take my order. There was no other customers there she had fake eyelashes on and enough to kill a clown. I wouldn't feed to my dog.
google avatar

Stephanie I.

Yelp
It's a good place to get some fast food but it's a hit or miss, depending on who the cook is. One night I went to get saimin and it was so good, then the next night I went to order the same thing and it was horrible. But the staff is always friendly. And the prices are just right.
google avatar

Joseph D.

Yelp
I had the Teriyaki combo (beef, chicken & mahi). The portions are good but the meat is just ok. Its a run of the mill, downtown order and sit to wait for delivery joint. Nothing special, there are thousands of mini mall Hawaiian joints that do it better. Maybe they need to go out and try some Hawaiian BBQ joints around town and improve their recipes.
google avatar

Yelp
My group and I went to Fremont late afternoon, and I've been hearing so much about the oxtail soup that downtown Vegas offers. However, the very one place that was super well known doesn't serve oxtail until 9pm... LUCKILY, my boyfriend and his friends came a few weeks ago and discovered this restaurant that also has delicious oxtail soup! It's located inside the Fremont Casino. There's many paid parking structure nearby with various rates! I think the best would be away from the main Fremont street like at the California Hotel with a rate of $10 per 24 hours. Being a local from Hawaii, I don't really see many people eating oxtail here as the prices are suuuuper high for only a few pieces of meat. Or maybe I just don't go for oxtail as I know I would like the other options more LOL. BUT the oxtail soup here. SOOOO many pieces, and they were big! WOW. Waaay cheaper and more worth it than the ones from Hawaii. The oxtail soup contained ginger, garlic, and cilantro (which I opted out). It was topped with mushrooms too. The soup was delicious! Lots of umami but not too heavy. Definitely on the oilier side though. The meat was suuuper tender. Aside from the pieces with a lot of cartilage, the meat fell off easily! Definitely lots of work and messiness but worth it! I mostly will be back for more oxtail soup if I'm in Fremont area. The price, amount of food, and soup were all definitely worth it! Not too sure about the other items on the menu, but try some oxtail if you're around the area before 9pm!

Yelp
I understand that it was 2am when I arrived however, it does say they are open until 7am. So with that being said I do expect them to have food ready or available until at least 5:30am. There was almost nothing hot to eat, they had random shrimp cocktail, "fresh" fruit, and bags of chips to eat.

Cate L.

Yelp
The Lanai Cafe was the best place to go for a great Chinese meal for over 20 years. In the last 2 years they hit the skids, and went downhill. They stopped serving the sweet and sour sauce, which was one of the main staples for dipping, they raised their prices, and the quality and quantity of the food went down. We always got the sauce in the little plastic containers with our orange chicken. The service was slow. There would be at least 10 people waiting in line at 11am waiting for them to open, and they never opened on time, and only one person serving food, and cashiering. Bad staffing. They let anyone sit in their dining room, even homeless people. I do not recommend this place anymore. Sorry!
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
Service is very slow! Just one person at the counter with usually a line of 2-3 people. The fried rice I think is missing shoyu and more flavoring. The sweet and sour pork not so great and the orange chicken was hard. I did love the shrimp cocktail even though they are a bunch of small shrimps in a cup. I was happy with that for $1.99! That was the best thing! I am afraid to try anything else! Did not want to waste my money it tasted junk! I can go around the corner to one of the other eateries in the Fremont for a great deal and yummy food!
google avatar

Craig Y.

Yelp
Located inside the Fremont Hotel and Casino it's a small area with tables and the ordering area is like a Panda Express food wise you tell the worker what you want then go to counter and pay. They different foods from the Chinese like foods to Hawaiian to American. They also have the 99 cents shrimp cocktail which is the only place in Downtown that has the 99 cents shrimp cocktail. Overall an ok spot if you want a fast quick bite but they are kind slow with service since it's only one register so there are long lines at times.

Allen H.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately the food was neither fresh or flavorful. It tasted like it was a few days old. So much potential but it fell flat for me. If you want Chinese walk on up the street to plaza hotel. They have a much better Chinese place.
google avatar

Marisa M.

Yelp
I honestly probably would've never found this place if it wasn't for my BF wanting Oxtails. He always ventures out to find oxtails and this place is his go to spots for some hot oxtails. I like it here because they have 99cent mini shrimp cocktails. They also have shrimp egg rolls. If I can describe this little fast food spot I'd say it's kinda sorta like a Panda Express but BETTER!! I also love how friendly the aunties who work behind the counter are. They have great hospitality and make sure to always treat their customers with a smile. I don't live in Vegas but I always make sure to stop here when I make a Fremont stop. I'll be back again soon. Enjoy my pics :)
google avatar

Anthony S.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place, not exactly sure why, but damnit when I'm downtown this is a must stop! Yes the Shrimp Cocktails use salad shrimp, but they are packed full of them with a cocktail sauce that just hits right! Their Loco Moco is frigging delicious and is so much food you'll need two naps to recover from eating it. And let's talk about the Ox Tail Soup, Cheese and Rice this is so damn delicious. It is fatty and so flavorful, and it is packed with meat, and fresh veggies. Absolutely a must try. So if your down at the FSE, and you need a bit of a nosh to keep you going, I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
This is for 04/27 Saturday, tried the Ox tail soup it was good, and shared small Beef and Broccoli and ChineseChinese Chicken Salad. The Chinese Chicken Salad had dried tasted like they were chicken, but still good...! Though the soup was $16.99, I think it was worth it! i will be back!

Yelp
Can't let 1 bad visit make the determination. Came back the next weekday ~3pm. He wanted to try again, I went along for the ride. The food looked more appetizing than the previous evening. The service was WAY better today (different staff) and the line was efficient. We opted to try the 99¢ Shrimp Cocktail today (X3) when I came that they were putting fresh cups of the stuff on ice by the register. Even the lemon wedge looked fresh and juicy. I'm a fan of the 99¢ shrimp cocktail! I would order it again, during the day IF you see a couple of them on ice. The food is eh. The place would benefit from having a couple more fresh items, but overall a good carb load option to pick up a cheap combo plate during a day of drinking. For a fresher alternative (same price point), check out: Doner Kabab Express (meat/veg/vegan) - literally 3 minutes down Fremont Street. Do NOT come here if you see the older heavy set lady manning the slop station; it's bad on so many levels. You can't say I didn't warn you ;)P

James T.

Yelp
Had the oxtail soup and it was amazing! Made with shiitake mushrooms, water chestnuts and cilantro. Oxtails were very meaty. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Best of all, there was no line!

Mike M.

Yelp
Quick bite to eat. Local (Hawaii) favorites. Mac salad not like what I'm used to in the islands. Chili taste like it's from the can. Everything else is good. I personally liked the oxtail soup and Chinese dishes. Convenient. Good service. If I remember correctly, they are closed from 7am-11am.

Yelp
Food so so. Had the 2 choice Chinese food, free with coupon book. The Ox tail soup was okay, 17.99.

Yelp
This place is ALMOST adequate, if you are drunk. The food is standard mall setup chinese, but not as good as the mall food. We ordered 3 dinners for 3 people, nobody ate theirs. It was pretty terrible. Dried out and obviously cooked a long time ago, sitting in the pans in the display. They were ambivalent about the food quality. Prices were Vegas norm. Soda in bottle like $3.50. They are slow to serve as well. Small dining area with rickety chairs. No napkins. No condiments. gross trash area for you to bus your own table. No bathroom adjacent to wash your hands. This is a last resort for sure.

Yelp
When you're a little tipsy on Fremont Street and need a quick snack, go into the Fremont Hotel and towards the back into this small to-go food stand. Cocktail sauce on the bottom, a layer of crushed celery (at first glance it looked like guacamole), and tiny shrimps topped with a lemon. What more can you ask for 99 cents? The line does get pretty long late at night here, so keep that in mind. Also, don't get too drunk or these shrimpies might not taste as good coming back up as everyone was quick to point out to us scarfing down the cocktail shrimp. I would eat this again!

Yelp
Escape the high prices of Strip for good food at good price; Inside Fremont casino. Wife had oxtail soup I had orange chicken w drink for under twenty. It's like an oasis away from high prices, Dunkin' right beside.

Yelp
The oxtail soup dramatically improved my opinion of this restaurant. I previously had the two-item plate and was unimpressed with chewy chicken and sparse beef in the beef and broccoli offering. This time I had the oxtail soup. The broth was very flavorful and there was a very generous portion of oxtail meat. Most of it readily fell off the bone except for the largest piece which was slightly chewy. I don't remember which vegetables it contained but they were also flavorful. It's served with a bowl of rice. Service is a little slow, you have to wait for the kitchen to assemble it. I would rate it slightly higher than the famous version served at the Cal.

Yelp
One of the worst food I had in Vegas. So salty taste like it came from the ocean. Threw it away, waited half hour for a hamburger, they forget one of my orders that I was charged for. Avoid at all cost

Yelp
Absolutely delicious oxtail soup. Might've been the best I've ever had. Lots of meat and veggies and such a great meal. 11/10

Yelp
They Serve Oxtail Soup Daily Which Was What I Enjoyed While In Vegas At The Fremont Hotel. I Stayed Four Nights. I Had Oxtail Soup For Four Nights Which Was Very Wonderful. The Oxtail Soup Was The Best Part Of My Trip In Vegas.

Yelp
This used to be open 24 hours and was the togo place later at night when everything is closed. Not sure if they are still doing 24 hours. This is located inside the Fremont casino. Prices are reasonable and they have everything from Breakfast to Oxtail soup here. Me and my wife go for the quick to go Chinese food plates. We got a two combo plate for just $7.99, you cant beat those prices. Food is decent, think of Panda express type of Chinese food. Service is always good here but the line can get pretty deep here. its good drunk people food -lol This is not instagram type of food, its eat it now im starved type of food -lol Im giving this a 4 as an overall experience. 3 for the food, 4 for the hours and customer service.

Yelp
Lanai Express is located inside of the Fremont Casino & Hotel and has been a staple for late night Chinese dining for years! It's kinda like an old school Panda Express in that it's served cafeteria style, but certainly not the same amount of options. I've come in here for years whether staying downtown, just visiting Fremont St, or showing visitors around Vegas. My visit yesterday was the first in a couple of years, but I left with the same experience of it being a pretty decent Chinese option. They were nearly out of orange chicken for which the employee recommended that I wait 15 minutes for fresh chicken. That honesty you have to respect! Sure enough, in about 15 minutes I hade my combination of fried rice, orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken. This will never blow you away for its version of Chinese, but for what it is, it's a great late night hangover version!!
