Where To Eat & Drink Before A Columbus Crew Game

"Since opening nearly a decade ago, Land-Grant has become much more than just a brewery. Don’t get us wrong, it’s still a lovely place to drink a sour and watch a game on a big screen. But it’s also a community hangout with a dog-friendly beer garden and mini-golf, and during the colder months, a wintertime fun park with igloos and beer keg curling. The best part might just be their food trucks: Ray Ray’s Hog Pit and Mikey’s Late Night Slice. Ray Ray’s does incredible dry-rubbed baby backs, Texas-style brisket, and waffle fries, while Mikey’s serves thin-crust pizza that seems scientifically perfected to pair well with beer and fend off a hangover." - erin edwards

I know this is one of the most popular breweries in Columbus but it’s worth every bit of the hype. They have beers to suit all tastes I prefer the Columbus crew themed one. Ray Rays and Mikey’s late night slice have food trucks there. Many great events are held there and it’s in a great location for some major Columbus events. Cant recommend enough!

Google
Had the best time at Land-Grant for their strawberry fest. The brewery is always hopping with great activities and events year round. And the beers are top-notch too. Love the variety. Such a great Columbus brewery!

Google
I have heard a lot about Land-Grant & finally went the other day during the Arts Festival! It was really nice to be able to walk there for adult beverages at normal prices LOL. The bartenders we had were both professional & great at/with recommendations. I had the Spiked Lemonade with vodka & the margarita, my partner had the Jeni's strawberry 🍓 rhubarb & the Tangerine 🍊 cider! We tried them all & everything was great 😃👍🏻 The large outdoor courtyard was great, plenty of seating and shade, activities etc. We biked downtown so not sure about parking, but street parking is of course nearby.

Google
Decent brews, friendly staff, clean facilities. Their ciders were top tier and I really liked their chistmas seasonal. They do fill growlers and I got a tangerine cider. I highly recommend this cider - it's extremely fruity and effervescent. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu. atmosphere right now (11/23) is 80s christmas gaudy - which I love - and energetic. No kitchen. A food truck outside I didnt try but it's there. I recommend. I hope they expand to include some seasonal sours and ciders for the cold months.

I used to absolutely love coming here, but the last few times it has been overrun by families with unsupervised children running rampant—taking over the games area, coming up to complete strangers, tripping people, throwing things, etc. It wouldn’t be an issue if the kids were supervised, but they’re not. It feels like a daycare now. I’m here now and there are about 25 children running around the cornhole area making it so nobody can play and their parents are on their phones. I know this is on the parents, but I really wish they’d separate part of the patio to be 21+ only. My friends and I actively choose not to come here now, but would if we knew there would be a chill, dedicated adult space to relax and be adults.

Google
Outstanding. Had the hazy pale ale. Great with a slice of Mikey’s pepperoni. Lots to do. Great patios, dog friendly, lots of food trucks with many options. Highly recommended.

Google
The atmosphere is awesome! Everyone is friendly and the staff is great! The beers aren’t my favorite however the cocktails are really good! I had the Peach Palmer and I highly recommend that!!! The Rudy grapefruit IPA is really good and I’m topically not an IPA fan! The patio is next level and they go have live music and events all the time! I highly recommend this place! Especially for a Saturday or Sunday Funday!

Google
I was passing through Columbus on a Friday and decided to check out this Brewery around lunch time. It’s a really cool place with a giant beer garden, a stage for live music, a couple food trucks. I got a flight of five and was impressed with the printed out flight cards they gave with the flight. The beers were pretty good too. I wished I was in town longer so I could’ve checked it out when it got busier with live music.

Yelp
This brewery was so fun! We sat outside by a fire pit with our friends and enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather and sipped on some tasty drinks. They have a very eclectic playlist (loved it) and then later in the day turned on the football game. Their bar staff are really nice and let you try beers before committing to a full pour. Their bathrooms were pristine and they stock free feminine products which is really thoughtful. The inside was decorated so cute for Christmas and they have heated igloos you can rent to hangout in as well. They have a couple food trucks to get snacks from- the BBQ food truck was open today when we went. It smelled delicious, but we had just gotten coffee and pastries before stopping in here, so we stuck to beers. I tired the cerveza de la casa negra, beard crumbs, and the bonspiel and my husband tried several IPAs. We loved all of our beers! Our friends tried some of their beer/wine combos, pilsners, lagers, IPAs, and cocktails. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and we had such a fun time around the fire pit. Definitely recommend stopping in with a group for a lazy Sunday.

Yelp
To be honest, I had no intention of stopping at any restaurant in Columbus, let alone at this place... I was on my way back to my hotel, visiting from out of town. But when I drove by, the Christmas lights caught my eye. I quickly shut off my GPS, scurried around the block, and eventually found a parking spot. Upon entry, I was greeted by the elves of Land Grant. I chose my Hops, and enjoyed the bops. What made it better, while unaware, it was Trivia Thursday and not just any trivia, but music trivia. WTF - "What the Funk?" At first I thought, I shouldn't participate, I don't listen funk. But it wasn't funk! It was a great mix, and a great time. While I'm not a fan of Columbus, I am a fan of Land Grant, and WTF.

Activities are fun. The ambiance is straight fun The Service is friendly and kind. ..................................................

Yelp
Celebrated my son's 40th birthday and their private room and it was wonderful! Really enjoyed the food trucks outside, the bar service was top-notch! Had a little trouble finding a parking place and then had to login to pay for the parking, but you gotta expect that in downtown Columbus.

Yelp
We always enjoy our visits here but right now they have a holiday theme! The decorations are really fun and they had new cocktails as well. The glass for the cranberry margarita was so cute! They also have lots of outside acitivies like curling and ice bumper cars that we look forward to trying soon. We also visited their new extension which was really cozy inside and had some unique brews and drinks not available at the main bar.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Fun cool tap room and food trucks and curling! Had a flight of beers, bar tenders very helpful in selections and served them up quick. Did not have any food but the Late Nite Slice truck reminds me of Cincinnati! Next time we'll make reservations for keg curling. They book up!

Yelp
Land Grant is a good time... consistently... inside and out... all four seasons. What really sets them apart is how they leverage their outdoor spaces with igloos, curling and bumper cars through the winter and benches, stages, and projection screens spring through fall. Partnering with Ray Ray's and Mikey's Late Night Slice for food is brilliant. Oh yeah, the beer! Get the Open Always homage to Buckeye Donuts. Don't let the color and ABV scare you. This is one smooth ale. Technically, it's a chocolate peanut butter brown ale, but it's good! Those ingredients are present without overwhelming the beer. I also had a Barleywine collaboration with Gemut Biergarten which held its own, but it didn't eclipse the Open Always. I appreciate the bartender honoring a discount that 'may' have expired. Their willingness to go the extra mile to take care of their guests is yet another reason to take a trip to Franklinton.

Yelp
I hosted my team's holiday gathering at Land Grant, and it was the perfect spot! Parking: can be tough - there is a garage not far away, but otherwise there is parallel parking throughout Franklinton. Food: food trucks. There was Mikey's Late Night Slice (pizza) and Ray Ray's (bbq). Pizza was sold out & half of Ray Ray's was also sold out on Thursday early evening, so selection was brim. But, I appreciate that there are food options. Drinks: local beer, cocktails, wine, high noon, etc. Activities: recently, LG added in a winter curling and/or ice bumper car experience. You reserve an igloo & get a curling lane for 90 mins, and it holds up to 8 people. We did this, and we had a blast!! Highly recommend - we want to go back.
google avatar

Claire D.

Yelp
This place is really big- a spacious indoor area and an outdoor area with lots of igloo areas to socialize and fire pits. They have dispensers for water and a wide selection of beers on tap. They even sell Jeni's ice cream and they have a Mikey's late slice food truck. Outside they have an ice curling area and an ice bumper car area too.

Yelp
LGBC is brewery #246 for me. I almost passed it by because the parking situation was a little rough but I'm REALLY glad I didn't. LGBC has a big outdoor venue with a stage as well as their indoor area. Bug bar area but lots of room on a Sunday at about noon. Connor who was working the bar set me up with a flight and it didn't take long until I was chatting happily with him as well as some other folks at the bar. It didn't hurt that he knows some homesteading folks in North Idaho who my wife in involved with. Small world! Anyway, I don't review breweries based on the people I connect with so much as the beers themselves. I was disappointed to find no dark beers, even reds or ambers, on tap. It was all lagers, pales, and IPA's. That said I hit s flight and was duly impressed with all the beers. One really cool thing about the flight that I have never seen anywhere else was each beer came with a card which described it. Almost a trading card. Be the first one in your neighborhood to collect them all kids! I'm not going to review each beer individually since I was far too busy enjoying the folks I was talking with but all were quite good. I can imagine LGBC is quite the happening spot on a Friday and Saturday night. I'm not sure the crowds would suit me but YMMV. I picked up a brisket sandwich from Ray Ray's BBQ truck outside which was some of the best brisket I have ever had. Wherever you are reading this from, go visit LGBC. My only complaint was a lack of beer diversity. Come on "Diversity is our Strength!" Connor did assure me that dark beers do land on the menu but I just happened to arrive when none were available. :::Sad Sigh...::: If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you!

Yelp
I've been to this place many times before to watch Crew Games, came over the weekend to watch OSu vs MI... Had no idea they hosted for football games, it was great!! The weather was perfect but so were the hosts. They had a big screen outside, lots of picnic tables, had the fire pits going and a few food trucks outside; Ray Rays (award winning bbq) Mikey's late night Donut holes (?) Waiters kept coming around to clear tables and empty glasses. Kept the place clean. Great crowd! Will definitely be coming back to watch more games now. Thanks guys!
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
This place was jammed on a Saturday afternoon but the weather was decent for December so we took advantage of their large outdoor space. Because it was winter, the outdoor bar wasn't open so we had to queue inside, but that was an excuse to warm up too. The stouts were delicious and seasonal- I would come back for more!
google avatar

Elizabeth Y.

Yelp
First time coming here with my friends. The place was packed! They had a good variety of beers but also option to order cocktails. The bartender were chill and nice. The vibe was high energy and fun. We will be back!
google avatar

Alexa N.

Yelp
I'm not a beer person, but I love the atmosphere at Land Grant! They have a plethora of outdoor seating and dog friendly too. I love the big screen outside for trivia nights or to watch a sports game. Parking can be tough though since it's limited street parking. They have plenty of beer options and one of our favorites is the Lemon Glow. I usually do their cocktail options since I don't drink beer. The beers vary from $6-$10, give or take. They have a water fill station for you to get your own water. Also there's always food trucks outside incase you get hungry. I'm always a sucker for the Ray Ray's food truck. Grab a drink, sit outside, and sip away!
google avatar

Cassandra R.

Yelp
I had a lovely evening at Land Grant - despite getting our curling canceled (they over curling with beer kegs on an ice rink - reservations needed) due to overly nice weather and thus melted ice, we still thoroughly enjoyed time in the igloo and outdoor space! They do a great job of making the outdoors warm and tolerable even in the winter, and the lighting keeps it inviting and fun even after the sun set. As someone who is not a big beer drinker I really appreciate the fact that they offer rotations ciders (I got the MadMoon) as well as a couple of cocktail options! It's great to be able to go to a brewery and not worry about what you'll drink or finding a beer you'll enjoy. They also offer food trucks in case you get hungry (RayRays BBQ and Mikey's late night slice).

Yelp
Land Grant Brewery was ranked as the #1 dog friendly brewery in the United States by Always Pets! Yelp
I always have the best time here! Land Grant is a great spot to go to with friends on a good spring day. There is plenty of covered, outdoor seating so I'm never feeling crowded by other attendees. It's easy to grab a drink at either the full bar inside or the smaller outdoor area; the line moves so quickly since they are always fully staffed. Parking is the only thing that can be tricky, but that's not what I would say is of fault of Land Grant. It's just good to be mindful of when trying to get there at a set time if you're meeting people or if you're going on a busy night.
google avatar

Erin H.

Yelp
Great outdoor seating and good vibes. Tons of beers on top. Only one cider, which was a little sweet for my preference. Also a little pricey. I'd do a brewery hop and hit Brew Dog across the street and or just skip here and go to Brew Dog.
google avatar

Kalah Rae F.

Yelp
Where to start with Land Grant! Tons of beers, friendly employees, and the most epic patio in Columbus if you ask me. Complete with stages, XL screen walls, tons of umbrella-covered tables, bench seating with electric fire places, cornhole, and so much more. tons of space for a large event, and it's a great place to hit on a Franklinton Friday. At night, tons of LED lighting decorates the umbrella tables. It's pretty cool! Land Grant is definitely dedicated to inclusive, fun culture. They often host a ton of their own events that are usually worth checking out. They don't serve food, but they usually are hosting a delicious food truck outside. It's definitely a vibe for a millennial crowd, and can get super busy on event days, so be mindful. Parking in the area can also be a little insane on busy days.
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
I was in town for the weekend so my husband and I stopped by to try some beer. It was packed! We never ended up finding a seat but had no issues standing along the fence. The line to get beer and use the bathroom was quite long but both moved relatively fast. My husband and I each got two beers because we were not waiting on that line again. Their property is huge and had live music and multiple food and craft vendors on site. It was definitely nice and they had a strawberry festival going on as well it seemed. I highly recommend this brewery but would aim to go at a less busy time if that even exists.
google avatar

Karen D.

Yelp
Enjoyed a flight and a few beers during a Friday afternoon visit while exploring galleries in the Franklinton neighborhood Beers were good, service was quick they also had food trucks outside but we didn't have a chance to try we had to move on to our next location.
google avatar

Ralph B.

Yelp
I am a big fan of brewery taprooms. This one did not disappoint. It offers a huge bar and indoor seating area, and has a giant outdoor area as well. We were there around lunchtime on a Saturday afternoon and were surprised at so few people there on a beautiful day. The selection of beer was excellent so everyone in our party of 4 could find something that matched their tastes. I had the Pool Party Pilsner. The offerings seemed heavy on lighter beers, so might not find as much if you are a big far of Ales and Reds. Also had a BBQ food truck in the parking lot that made an excellent sandwich.
google avatar

Klara C.

Yelp
Cool Brewery with plenty of seating both indoor and out. Tons of TVs that play different sports. Good selection of beers. We ordered a flight. Street parking around. Del Boca Vista Coconut Vanilla Cream Ale - Good light cream ale beer with a hint of coconut at the end. I enjoyed it and it is super easy to drink. Inflatable Flamingo Watermelon Wheat - great watermelon flavor here and a solid wheat beer. Also easy to drink and more flavorful than the cream Ale. Sweater Vibes Apple Cinnamon ESB - Very light on the flavors but I do taste more apple with the Cinnamon coming through at the end. Open Always Peanut Butter Chocolate Coffee Brown Ale - Great coffee mocha smell and a good peanut butter taste starting off. Not too bad but a light peanut butter cup beer almost. Batch 1000 Smoked Maple Imperial Stout - quite a heavy beer but it is an Imperial Stout. You do get a little bit of the smoked Maple. More of a sipping beer. The taster we got was perfect.

Cheri H.

Yelp
Our group had so much fun keg curling. So much so that we reserved for a second go around, this time with more people. All of the staff were very friendly. Igloo was more than warm and comfy. Thank you, Land Grant.
google avatar

Jenn B.

Yelp
Voted the best brewery in Columbus for a reason! Land Grant has done an excellent job curating an amazing experience for each season. We recently visited in the winter and enjoyed their "Wintergarden" igloos and curling. For brews, we got the Fruit Slices and Lemon Glow (which were perfectly hazy), and the Blackberry Bramble. I cannot wait to visit their beer garden and for their seasonal beers to come out this summer!

Debbie C.

Yelp
I am going to speak of our experience with the bumper cars on ice. First, please know we were ecstatic to learn that something that looked so fun would be coming to Columbus! However, upon arriving, I'll own we were 7 minutes late not their fault, we were given an option of waiting in 45 minute gaps to see if they would have an opening. We decided to we would give the kids a chance and my husband and I said we'd skip this opportunity to give the kids a chance...2 people are easier to squeeze in rather than four. Ok setting aside the poor temperament of the staff, this looked anything but fun. For smaller children perhaps, for adults not worth the money, I'm sorry. Watch the video and make up your own mind.
google avatar

Michael J.

Yelp
Land Grant is a great brewery and bar! We've been here multiple times for different events, including the Franklinton strawberry festival, and it NEVER disappoints. We went last night with some friends and has reserved an igloo in their winter beer garden and it was a blast! Great music, Mikey's late night, 85° in igloos while it was 29° outside, our pup joined us, and best of all, their prices are spectacular! 30 bucks for the 2 hour reservation and their drafts and cocktails are perfectly priced for a good night without being the bank. A neighborhood staple, I'll definitely be here a lot this year so if you see me, say hi and have fun!!
google avatar

Theresa G.

Yelp
Land grant is my go to on summer nights... and fall... and spring. Consistently good service, beer, vibes. Dog and toddler friendly (hugeeee plus). Not far from the bike path and always a good time. I wish they had more seltzers for sale but that's my only suggestion.
google avatar

Bradley L.

Yelp
Great location and atmosphere. The beer garden has a lot to offer with out door serving and plenty of seating. Multiple big screen displays make this a perfect place to watch a game with friends. My one complaint is that the tab had an automatic 30% tip when I went to close out. I don't want to believe the friendly staff would try and slip ins by customers as they check out but you never know.
google avatar

Ya Y.

Yelp
I really liked their outdoor space, especially in the summer time. It was a great place to have some drinks, hang out with friends, and watch some games!
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Brewery with a very nice selection of brews. We're having Wintergarden Juicy IPA and Zora's House collaborative stout. If you get a pint of this stout you get a tea cake cookie and a poster. And a portion of the purchase goes to Zora's house.
google avatar

Mary C. S.

Yelp
Great beers and a dog friendly patio with fire pits to take the chill off. Huge area across the driveway for their beer garden area with multiple picnic tables and a huge presentation screen. Excellent Mule made with ginger beer made locally. Hubby was very happy with English Dark Mild and took a growler home of it. Nice, laid back atmosphere to kick back for an hour or two.
google avatar

Evan G.

Yelp
First time visiting from out of town and I'm wowed at the spacious beer garden. This is a great place during COVID to be spread out from other parties. The beer was great, staff was friendly, ordering on my phone (why don't all breweries do this?), and large LED screens for prime time TV events. I hope to visit again soon!
google avatar

Andrea R.

Yelp
There's a lot of great beer options in Columbus, and it's no surprise that Land Grant is one of the best. They have one of the best, most diverse tap lists - truly something for everyone. They offer pints, half-pints, and flights, too, which makes it simple to try (almost) as much as you want. They have great swag, fun merch, and an awesome space with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. The bartenders are super friendly and attentive, even when the place is busy. Of the numerous breweries we visited on our short stint in Columbus, Land Grant is the must-visit of them all. They don't serve food, but when we came on sunny Sunday afternoon, Ray Ray's BBQ (as see on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives) was serving up grub, alongside another food truck. Whether you want televised sports or live music, sunshine or air conditioning, Land Grant has the cold beer and atmosphere you're seeking. Yo - they even have a free photo booth! I had the watermelon wheat (Inflatable Flamingo) and a refreshing West Coast IPA (What Are You Doing Here?) - both perfect summer beers. I loved Land Grant as much as I love some of my favorite local haunts. If you're a beer drinker and you find yourself in Columbus, start here!
google avatar

Jayme H.

Yelp
Being that I'm neither a beer drinker or a meat eater, I don't head to this area of Franklinton all too often. However, my friends band was playing here last night so a group of us decided to leave our SN bubble to finally enjoy some live music. When I arrived, I was totally blown away with how much they had done to the space. It was magical. Their outdoor patio is a dream. It's huge, has varied seating and a lot of it is covered. You can get drinks inside or out, Ray Ray's was there as was North Country Charcuterie, but don't let that limit you. Outside food is welcome. The staff here was also friendly and you could tell they enjoy their job. The crowd was awesome too. I'll definitely be back, especially on the third Thursday of the month when Low Key Actually Great will be playing.

Lori W.

Yelp
Beer good. Atmosphere good. Ray Ray's Hog Pit has a terrible system set up-no order number, no name so pure chaos trying to find your order. Top that off with RUDE staff. Like RUDE. Absolutely zero reason to be rude to the very people keeping you employed. Food was good at least. Hire some friendly people!!
google avatar

Gabby M.

Yelp
I have never had a negative experience at Land Grant. Their beer is great and they also have some other options for non beer drinkers. And we love the trading cards (not sure if they still do this but it was fun!). The staff members are excellent and always super helpful. And the place itself is just neat, especially with the beer garden expansion. There are plenty of activities for people and TVs to watch the game. The beer garden is spacious and allows dogs - yay!! Did I mention that Ray Rays also sets up shop here Thursday through Sunday?! My absolute favorite... you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And if you bring your pup, be sure to ask for their pup cup! But I digress... Land Grant has great vibes and something for everyone to have a good time. I recommend parking in the Gravity Parking Garage if you go and walking but there are some other parking options around, as well.

Yelp
I really liked it at Land Grant; the beers were good, the seating was comfortable, and it was easy to enjoy some drinks with others. This place works great for large groups of people - as well as tinier groups. I was pretty upset by the way they did their restroom cleanings, but I'd be back (and hope it doesn't happen again). NOTES: -Very, very large outdoor area. Tables are picnic-style with freestanding benches that can easily move to accommodate various bodies. -Few tables (both indoor and out) are dining-table style for 2-4 people. None have arms. -A wall of the indoor dining area has hightop tables with 6-8 seats. (I don't remember the exact.) -The outdoor menus are on a QR code you scan on your phone that's stickied to each table. The indoor menus are the same - except almost everyone in the indoor space can read the giant board of beers near the bar. PROS: -Ridiculously huge outdoor area. Ridiculously huge. There's seating for hundreds outside - easily and comfortably. There's a separate outdoor bar service as well. Today, the outdoor area was oppressively hot (there are no fans - but the majority of the outdoor area is shaded with umbrellas), but on a nicer day, I could see this being a fantastic place to hang out for larger groups. -The "community" seating here means that it works pretty well for most bodies. The picnic table set-up they have going on both indoors and outdoors has movable benches, so you can give people as much (or as little) room as they need. -Beer is pretty darn good. For some reason, June was really loaded-up on IPA and citrus options, so if that isn't your jam, the selection's a bit smaller. The beer was still pretty darn delicious, and their "House Beer" works great if you're just a usual mainstream-beer drinker. Beer has a good range of ABV, so you can stay on the 4% side of things, or head up to the 10% side of things. -Good stage for events. There wasn't one going on at the time, but it's neat that it exists - and is used for live events pretty often. -There are multiple places to place your drink orders. Since this place has such a huge customer capacity, this really helps keep the line down. Since one of the bar is even outdoors with the outdoor seating, you don't have to really go inside the building unless you want the indoor restroom. CONS: -While the adjustable picnic tables are really, really great for a variety of bodies, it also isn't attached to the ground. This also means that I watched two people sit on the edge-most seat of the benches at empty tables - and since the opposing half wasn't weighted down, the bench flipped and the person spilled onto the ground. Staff seemed pretty accustomed to dealing with it, and everybody laughed it off and went on their way, but just a warning: if sitting at an empty table, sit in the middle. -My biggest complaint about Land Grant was their bathroom cleaning procedure. In the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday, the entire wing of the brewery (with the restaurants) was closed off. I had needed to pee before the entire wing was randomly (and suddenly?) closed off, so 20-30 minutes later, I was really peeved when it had not opened back up. An establishment that's focused on intaking liquids *really* needs bathroom access. I understand bathrooms need to be cleaned, but almost all establishments clean them room-by-room to reduce downtime. The table of people next to me were discussing what places were nearby to drink because they all needed to pee - and the restrooms didn't have an ETA of opening back up. In Land Grant's fairness, they provide two porta-potties outside that they were directing people to, but I didn't come to an indoor brewery to use porta-potties (honestly). We ended up leaving because of this along with multiple tables near us.

Yelp
The management was great. When the weather didn't cooperate for our curling night and we didn't get the message (and showed up), they refunded us the full amount and gave us a free time to come back. Then one of the managers, Eric, gave me his cell number to call if there were problems. There were some problems with the weather again and he helped me on his day off to get scheduled at a time that worked. We had so much fun curling with the kids and it was totally worth the hassle. Beautiful atmosphere and great food. Will make this a regular activity for our family! You don't get customer service this good these days, and I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Land Grant is a staple for Columbus. Perfect in warmer months, lots of outdoor seating, host to RayRay's, the best BBQ joint in town, and boasts a wide variety of their own beers, made on location. I recently discovered Wednesday Trivia, which is a treat in and of itself. Great for groups, dates, and anything in between. A note: on really nice days, this place will get packed, especially on weekends. If you prefer a slightly quieter atmosphere, stop by during the week.

Yelp
Ok, the outdoor space here is awesome. Cornhole x2, putting green and 2 x bocce Courts. Ray rays bbq food truck on site. Love music Thursday thru Saturday. Seating for about 200 at picnic tables and umbrellas. Inside, all 6 TVs showing racing from Belmont. Outdoor bar not open on Thursday. Beer is not good. Like so bad that I considered leaving it on the table with 3/4 left in The glass. Side note: everyone in Ohio seems to be really bad at cornhole. Looked like there was a running club getting underway around 18:30. It's so fun here, consider sneaking in a beer from across the street.

Yelp
Such a nice break from being at home all day, especially in the winter... no sun, no one's around.. I get it's a pandemic but it's mind-numbing! My friend and I wanted to draw together but sharing housing spaces is risky for her so we decided to find a wide open space and some refreshment (beer, lol) a baby drink and draw event. We enter the building and find a space fast! Only a couple of small groups were in there. The bartender welcomed us on as we chose something and got to work. Atmosphere was so chill and masks were worn when you weren't at you table. Sanitizer was found everywhere including the tables. So rest assured! It was nice to be somewhere else after a whole year just about! Crazy! 5 stars for chill atmosphere!

Yelp
I have to say Land Grant has really gone downhill. We have been frequent customers and have seen the decline. Today rented an Igloo for 2 hours and prepaid. After 1:30 they said we had to be out in 10 minutes. We said our reservation was until 8pm what is going on? They said "you have maybe 10 minutes to clear out we are closing" The Late night slice food truck was a joke, opens late and that guy was rude, it was clear to everyone he hates his job. Safe to say this was our last visit to a business we have frequented who clearly no long appreciates customers and has just developed an arrogance and a monumentally bad approach to the business. Looking forward to the demise of this place.

Yelp
I'm sure the owners of Land Grant opened up the airport location with sharing the same experience that their customers enjoy at the main brewery in mind. It's just not the same. We were in town for four days at a trade show. After breaking down the booth and making our way through TSA, we just wanted a cold beer to celebrate. The app-based ordering/paying experience is awful. Each seat has a unique QR code. You're not allowed to order on any QR code but your own. It then didn't work twice. On the third try - you have to enter your own payment info and then navigate the cart. Look...we just wanted to click our pints together to say "Woooo!" after a long show. I LOVE technology...is it really saving time or providing a positive customer experience when the bartender could have taken our order and CC and had our pints ready in 30 seconds...? A bar should be about service and a positive experience. DIY Bar...bad idea. The brew was delicious btw...just took too much work to get it.

Yelp
I came on a Saturday close to 5 for the 4th Anniversary of the brewery. Didn't have trouble finding parallel parking at all! There were tons of people all over since there were food trucks, local bands playing, a few tents outside selling beer. They were also selling their shirts. Inside, it was less packed but still pretty slammed. There were multiple lines at the bar but they all moved fast. Lots of picnic type tables in here and a smaller room that had windows into the brewery itself. I ordered the urban sombrerero, which one of my friends also got and loved. I liked it! I'm not huge into beer anymore, but it was good. They were also selling cups for a dollar that you can reuse for another drink. Thumbs up for being sustainable! Had to buy one to keep! The bathrooms were clean. Only Two stalls and one sink? Weird. Anyway, each stall was stocked with a ton of toilet paper just in case. There was a line in the women's bathroom, of course. Went fast actually. I'd come back again! I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Lots of tvs inside and a few games you can play. Pretty cool!

Yelp
We had a really nice experience here! We got two rounds of flights and tried the Ray Rays food truck outside. One of my favorite things is how they provide cards for all beers, almost like Pokémon cards, to explain each flight. More seating would've improved the experience. It felt like our only choice was to share a table with other people which can be nice but not on a date night when you're looking for more privacy. I think this location is probably more enjoyable when it's warm outside because there's lots of outdoor seating however we were there in winter! Highly recommend the food truck, it was INCREDIBLE. Gotta try the jerk chicken and mac n cheese.

Yelp
You know Franklinton is up and coming because breweries have established themselves in the area. Land Grant has a great location and soon Brew Dog will be right across the street! I love Land Grant because they always have a huge list of their own beers on tap or available in cans. I tried their Sour Hoppy Fun Time beer yesterday and loved it! If you're a fan of sour beers definitely give it a try! Lines can get long at Land Grant, but the bar is always well staffed and it won't take too long to get a beer. They have a party room that you can rent our, yesterday a bridal shower was taking place while we were there. The patio area is beautiful and a fire is usually going in the fire pit. Parking is kind of wherever you can find it, but they do have a makeshift lot out front. Ray Ray's bbq is there for food, or other food trucks rotate through during the week. If the Ale Trail brings you to Land Grant I guarantee you'll be back!

Yelp
How is it possible that I have never done a review for Land Grant Brewing Company??? What is that saying about you sometimes hurt those that you are closest to. Land Grant is hands down our favorite brewery in Columbus. It begins with all the amazing employees like Jordan, Colin, Kayla, Justin, Mark, and owners like Q. I could rave about them for days and days. They truly are part of the community and every time we stop in we feel like part of the family. We love all their beers but lately we have been crushing on their Land Grant Massive, which is a juicy pale ale. It is in support of their love of all things Columbus, like the Columbus Crew. We are in their Winter Euchre League every Monday night during those cold months in Ohio. In the summer we love to bike by, stop in, and have a cold beer out in their enormous beer garden. I can not rave about Land Grant Brewing enough. If you have not stopped in yet, please make it a top priority. You will fall in love, just like we did years and years ago.
