"The cosy Stube of the Landgasthof Karner is a good alternative to the fine dining restaurant. The combination of rustic charm and discreet modern features makes for a harmonious whole. Here, the connection to the region is strong; from the schnitzel with roast potatoes, to the braised leg of lamb or trio of dumplings, great store is set by local and seasonal ingredients." - Michelin Inspector

Renovated rooms in a historic building. Free parking on site Breakfast is good Pool , sauna and gym that is under renovation. Room had a refrigerator , we asked for a kettle to make some tea and we were able to borrow one. There’s an elevator but doesn’t cover all the floors so be ready to climb your stuff to 3rd floor if you happen to get room on that floor. Front desk staff are super nice, they leave at 6 pm but if you call them they would leave the key outside for late check ins. Overall we enjoyed our two nights here.

We stay with my daughter 2 nights and we greatly enjoyed it! Two things to highlight, the friendliness of the staff, super polite and helpful! And the quality of the food for the half-pension dinner, it was fantastic, kudos to the chef!

Super friendly and professional staff, making you feel welcome and immediately relaxed. The rooms are immaculate and clean. There's a super combination of old classic Bavarian features and modern interior design. The food, both at breakfast (buffet) and dinner, is fresh, modern and generous in portions. As a family of three and a small dog, we were able to settle in and use the facilities on offer.

If you read this, you might suspect me of being paid to do this.||This hotel is an absolute gem! In wonderful near-alpine surroundings, this buisness traveller was greeted by a very friendly staff, as was I greeted back in a house where friends asked him to come over instead of sleeping in some hotel.||I found a comfortable room with a great bed, and the restaurant offered a somewhat narrow, but very bavarian-austrian menu. I had the Wienerschnitzel, and I have never had one better outside Vienna. I also found a very well-appointed spa area with a well-heated sauna, a rarity south of Scandinavia.||These people know what they are doing, and the Ambiente is rural, charming and absolutely spot-on. You feel at home here, and this will be my preferred hotel when going to this area again.

We celebrated our wedding at Landgasthof Karner. We live in Australia but our guests arrived from all over Germany, so most communication was over email and over the phone. Not only was the communication fantastic and reliable, but it was also pleasant and fun. Sara made us feel super excited before we even arrived. The rooms were gorgeous and charming, and all my family was happy and pleased. The spa was amazing. Lastly, the food was fantastic. At our wedding, we had a 5-course dinner and every single dish was prepared with so much care, it was super special and tasted phenomenal. They even prepared a wedding guest table for breakfast every day. This was not asked for and just lovely. At our wedding party, the crew did a fantastic job as well. Not one glass was empty and the crew was in such a fun and amazing mood it was just a beautiful evening all together3. Thank you for making our day so special. We loved every second and will come back! Martin and Martyna

I recently stayed at Landgasthof Karner, and unfortunately, my experience was not as good as I had hoped. While the hotel looked nice in pictures, I was disappointed to see the reality. I call it a instagram vs reality. The hotel had a rusty look, which detracted from its overall appeal. Location: It was difficult to locate the hotel and that the lady at reception did not seem familiar with the nearby streets. It took us quite a while to find the hotel. Services: The lack of a lift made it difficult to carry our luggage up to our room. The hotel staff was nice in general but when I requested a late check-out due to bad health, the hotel was not accommodating. Room: The room looked much better in the pictures than in real. The toilet was too too small, it was difficult to use the toilet pot. Wellness: The swimming pool was decent but it was on a smaller side. The Sauna rooms looked unique and beautiful and was decent. Value for money: I would not say I was happy with the money payed at the hotel. The price is on a higher side. Overall, while the hotel had some positives, my stay was overshadowed by these negative aspects.

Stayed for 1 night on our drive back to Holland. Very friendly reception, nice big room, including a crib for our kid. Dinner was expensive but very good so worth the money in my opinion. Breakfast was excellent, all fresh and very tasty including sausages and (scrambled) eggs.
