Rössli

"Since 1995, Susy and Markus Sager-Meyerhans have been the friendly faces behind this long-established restaurant with its roots in the 18C, when it was a tavern. In addition to cordial service, you can expect a hybrid of traditional and modern-meets-classic cuisine; at lunchtime there is a somewhat reduced menu. Outside you will find the Rosenterrasse and Rössligarten. Charming guestrooms are also available." - Michelin Inspector

The owners are fantastic! Mark went out of his way to make our stay extra special. Loved the room. Built in 1772. So much charm. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Fantastic view from our balcony.

The host is very friendly. The room is nice and the breakfast is fantastic. I like one of the jelly looking jam that tastes like honey. The food at the restaurant is tasty. I will miss their rosti. The only downside is that there is no lift but it is a historic building after all. If opportunity arises i will stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location just 15 bus journey from central Lucerne train station. Bus No. 73. Rooms are spotless and good size. Its an old typical swiss style lodge. Beware there is no lift. On the down side there is only a curtain separating the tiolet and shower from the main room so not much privacy. And would have been nice to have tea and coffe making facilities in the room.

I couldn’t speak more highly about Landgasthof Rössli! The food was absolutely delicious, the owners are exceptionally warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The staff were highly professional, attentive, and ensured our evening was perfect. Probably one of the best restaurant I ever visited in Switzerland! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an unforgettable meal and top-notch service!

Super service!! We ordered our complete 2021 New Year's dinner (turkey and side dishes) and it was a complete success. The quality and taste of the food was great. We and our guests were really pleased. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient! We will be loyal customers!

Really delicious food. Prices are what you expect in Switzerland (really expensive) but the food is actually worth it. Staff were efficient and friendly. They brought over a children's menu with a colouring page on it for our son and children's serving utensils etc. This is a very fancy restaurant with gorgeous decor, flickering candles and delicate etched glassware (not the best place to take a toddler in hindsight but that's not the fault of the restaurant). Would highly recommend for a splurge but maybe leave your kids at home.

There is plenty of parking. Service was excellent and we felt very welcomed. The room is comfortable, but I wish the bathroom had a door. The restaurant downstairs has good food but it is expensive (then again, so is all of Switzerland). Breakfast in the morning, held upstairs, was simple but filling. The service was so good that they even packed up our left overs from dinner from the restaurant, kept it overnight in their kitchen fridge, and then sent it with us when we left the next day. That was nice because it was an expensive dinner and we got two meals out of it.

After a long drive this was the perfect place to relax. A warm welcome, tea in the lovely garden, a pretty, comfortable room and dinner in the Rose Garden (BBQ’d lamb, just delicious). Our host even drove us to our party venue the next afternoon and rushed out early on Sunday morning to get fresh bread for our breakfast. We just loved it and were not disturbed in the least by traffic or church bells as mentioned in a previous review.
