This place is actually an old farmhouse that is beautifully done inside and offers great traditional food in a traditional inside restaurant and in summer even outside. Lovely and great value! Recommended by the locals as well! This is a reason to come here.||We also stayed over but it is not too modern in the rooms, but all clean and tidy. Service is good and friendly and they will help you with all your questions. If you want to rent bikes, there is a place just 3 km away in a small indusrty park. ||Wifi available, but watch out wednesday and thursday is day of rest and restaurant not open! Church bells next door start to chime at 6 am.... Tradition!

A delightful timber-frame hotel with 500 years of family tradition and quite possibly the best food in the area (an unsurprisingly award-winning blend of traditional southern German cuisine and modern influences). Service was lovely—the chef and owner welcomed us at the dinner table and staff were keen to help with our special requests. The hotel’s location is also marvellous, overlooking the lush Salem valley to the east, in the shadow of a cute neo-gothic church and with Lake Constance just a short (10 min) drive to the south. The immediate area is great for walking or cycling with numerous trails and routes passing through the village, or just for exploring the culturally rich region (e.g. the lake, Birnau basilica, Salem abbey etc.).

Excellent food, very friendly service, every time a pleasant experience; good place to go with kids. We come back here often.

A very very very nice place to stay for one or more days, but much easier to access with car, comfort room, fresh air, almost everything is perfect.
