Landgoed De Holtweijde

We’ve filed a complaint but heard nothing back. We have a whole list of complaints but these focus on two main points: staff and paid extras. Firstly, the staff working on the reception desk are neither friendly nor informative. Without giving a full explanation of our complaints I will highlight a few. Upon arrival we were asked if we would like to use the sauna, it was never explained that this costs extra for guests or how the experience would work. During our meal we were given the option of fries and vegetables with our main. Again without explanation that this costs additional on top of the set menu. Although it’s not much of a meal with potatoes or vegetables. When going to use the sauna we were stopped by staff from taking fresh robes as ours were wet from the previous day. No additional option was given just the option of walking 10 minutes back to the room to get our wet robes. These are small inconveniences and wouldn’t be a problem at a lower quality hotel, however for €375 per night I expect more attentive and informative staff. Instead walking through reception was like disturbing a group gossiping teenagers who had little concern for their work. I can only imagine that the hotel struggles for quality staff due to location, but I would aim to improve this.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The restaurant is very good. Unfortunately, the spa is completely overrated, the sauna area is very small and the pool is full of loud children playing. We imagined it differently and will therefore not be coming back.

The hotel was very quiet and pleasant, the food in the restaurant was delicious. The room is large and spacious, but the bed left something to be desired, it was two single beds pushed together, hindering the experience as a couple. The pool had a pleasant temperature, but there were problems with its operation/buttons

Great spacious suite, well decorated, clean and with a nice balcony, but it would have been more comfortable to have Air Conditioning! Very kind and helpful staff! Excellent service and food at the restaurant!

Out of the way, pleasant hideaway in the green fields and woods straddling the Dutch-German border. Both the hotel and the cottages are clean, pleasant and comfortable. Staff is friendly, helpful and very representative, while the restaurant not only serves a bib gourmand menu, but is also able to accommodate children, specific tastes and dietary requirements. Definitely visiting again!

We booked a suite, nice room. But …It would have been nice if the bathroom was stocked not just soap end body lotion. I requested a shower cap, not to be had! No welcome bottle of water no amenities at all, |No mirror in the toilet, no additional toilet in the bathroom. The coffee is not very good, this is not what you expect when you book a (expensive) suite.

What a beautiful place for a short stay or weekend. The staff does everything to give you a good time. Plenty of wellness treatments, with a nice relax room. The sauna is basic. We had a beautiful junior suite. The restaurant is excellent with a Bib Gourmand from Michelin. Estate in a really nice landscape setting.

We loved loved loved the place! Located in a beautiful countryside, this charming hotel is a delight. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, and the breakfast was delicious.Hotel staff was friendly and helpfull. We will definitely return and we"ll also stay for dinner.|| ||
