"At Landgoed de Wilmersberg nature takes centre stage, beginning with a wonderful view of the landscape of Twente, both on the terrace and in the charming dining room. The chef makes vegetables the focus in his modern dishes. He is bold enough to present the occasional challenging combination, always applying the correct techniques." - Michelin Inspector

We spend 3 nights in the hotel and had a lovely stay.|The hotel staff is very friendly and really supportive. From the reception to the staff at the bar, the restaurant, lounge and the housekeeping staff, they were always friendly and I really felt we could ask them anything. Quick example: we were missing 1 type of pillow in the room, asked reception and 30 mins later the housekeeping staff brought the pillow to the room. All with a big smile.|The food in the restaurant and the lounge is good and the prices are what is to be expected from a hotel restaurant/ lounge. (3-course dinner with drinks was €150 for 2).|We loved the fact that in the morning there was a small paper on the breakfast table highlighting an excursion you could do. We did 2 of those and they were really nice (visit of the Arbotreum and a bike tour).|Now, we were unlucky with the weather, but that is nothing the hotel can change, so we also enjoyed the pool (it is small, but nice to take a dip) and their sauna area (which we really liked).|All in all, we had a lovely time and we really appreciate how friendly the staff was and we felt taken care of.|Price / Quality, we recommend De wilmersberg.

We spent (unfortunately) only one night at De Wilmersberg. It was a perfect beautiful spot in the Dutch countryside. We loved riding bikes in the area and especially the walking paths around the property. In the evening we had an excellent dinner at the restaurant. We would love to come back some time for a longer period. The area is just beautiful for exploring.

Perfectly situated close to the Dutch/German border, and thankfully only 2 hrs from Amsterdam. This hotel is a total gem! Beautiful gardens, birdsong to wake up to, a stunning restaurant (both dinner and breakfast are exceptional), calm, and some super staff running a ship-shape hotel. The spa/swimming area is great (apart from the slightly awkward nudity if you are not Dutch/German), and for the fairly good price you get an absolute top notch stay. Will gladly return next time I am on a business trip in Netherlands, and need somewhere to unwind and be refreshed!

Our stay for some well-deserved rest and relaxation to celebrate my partner's birthday exceeded all expectations. Firstly, the room we booked with our VIP package was spacious and clean. Receiving birthday cards for my wife from the owners and staff was thoughtful and considerate. At breakfast, we were always greeted with a cheerful smile from Marleen, which was only matched by the excellent freshly prepared food and the variety of juices and warm beverages. The evening meal surpassed all expectations and the chef, Ronald, should be congratulated on his creations, particularly for the dedication to the visual presentation of each dish. Each evening we were served by Laureen, Diederik, and Moritz, all of whom made us feel welcome. Laureen deserves praise for her constant and genuine smile, and what Diederik doesn't know about football isn't worth knowing (Euro 2024). Finally, I want to make a special mention of Denise. I spoke to her a few times, and she took care of us whenever we needed anything. She has a great future in the hospitality business. In conclusion, a fantastic place, great location and congratulations, Boudewijn and Githa van Vilsteren, for setting such a high benchmark in service delivery. I wish you both much success.

Beautiful place!! We enjoyed it so much , we had the chance to walk through the woods and explore the surrounding area 👌🏼 it was amazing! Also we used the pool and maybe would be great to regulate the temperature a little bit warmer for the winter so you get the chance to enjoy it for longer times. The chocolate that sometimes they give you at the room is sooo good! (Wish they gave you more 😅) I’m not sure (probably because it’s not a really touristic area) but there’s no English or other languages menu but would be great if they had at least the dinner menu in a digital form in another language , I know it’s hard and it changes every time but at least if you know you have foreigners as guests you can get it for that days and that would help a lot for the guest and for the waiter too because sometimes we all had a hard time trying to translate excotic ingredients ☺️ Hope to get back soon!! ☺️

Super relaxing stay in friendly family oriented hotel in a quiet piece of the Netherlands. The last road to get to it is rather narrow and has to be driven with cartoon because passing is difficult. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Tiny pool. Birds singing. Walking path descriptions available at the desk. Lovely dinner.

This is not the first time we have been in the Wilmersberg. The Hotel is as comfortable as ever. The rooms are fine. Our room had a nice outside setting area. The bathroom is, although perhaps not up to the latest design standards super and has all your heart's desire. The beds are excellent and a choice of pillow is available. We enjoyed a fine outside dinner, prepared by the gourmet chef. Delicious, all 4 coursed. Large wine chart, and a super Rose for us. The garden is country-famous and a wonder to behold. Behind en looking down the garden, the Hotel post a lovely classic and vast English style varied landscape of fields separated by wooded banks, hedges and hedgerows. The breakfast was beyond reproach: fresh, with great variety and choice. Best bacon since years :)

Easily one of the best places to stay in the Netherlands in the summer. I’m sure it’s also great all seasons. Compared to the standard camping type of trip people often think is a summer holiday on the NL, this is miles ahead. The quality of service, the quality of the food, and the rooms were all great. The environment is so relaxing and great for families but also couples. Royal Suite was great, keep in mind it’s on the ground floor, so great private patio, but the curtains need to be closed for privacy.
