Landhaus Am See

Whilst driving to Hannover we found this wonderful hotel by chance. Our hotel in Hannover had overbooked and gave our room to someone else during the storm. We could not find anywhere to stay at nightime and as a family of 5 we telephoned 40 hotels in Hannover At 2am and after 2 hours looking for a place to stay in the storm, the night porter at Hotel Landhaus am See gave us 2 beautiful rooms. He laid the table for our breakfast and the next morning we were warmly welcomed. The breakfast was excellent and the room was huge, comfortable and very well appointed. Lots of designer furniture and touches. Lots of parking and it only took us 20 minutes to drive to Hannover city center the next morning even during the rush hour. We would definitely return! All the big hotel chains said no becuase they could not accept a new booking at nighttime. It was a joy to find the Landhaus am See. At least some hotels still have a heart!

This place is an absolute gem! Excellent location near the AW, but completely quiet on a lake. The service is really exceptional, staff is well trained at the reception as well as in the restaurant. The food is fantastic and the rooms super clean. A whole hearted recommendation on all levels.

Our friends had their wedding at this hotel. The location and scenery of the event location is beautiful. The decor was smart. The staff were very professional. The food that our hosts had ordered served was tasty too. Good ambiance for a wedding!

I stayed at the Landhaus am See for two days on a business trip to Hannover. It's in Garbsen which is a quiet suburb, not too far from the centre of the city and the airport. ||The hotel is set in very peaceful surroundings with a huge lake and recreation park close by. ||The staff on arrival were very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Checking in was quick and fuss-free. |The room I had (in a separate block towards the back of the property) was well-equipped and comfortable with a sizeable bathroom. ||Probably the main highlight of the hotel is it's food. I was genuinely surprised by the care and attention that the chefs have to even basic meals such as salads. |Their evening meal options are plentiful and I would certainly recommend the fillet steak and pound of asparagus. |The quality of the meat and accuracy of the cooking request put many UK steak specialist restaurants to shame - particularly when the cost is so low in comparison. |As the weather was so good during my visit, eating alfresco on the susbstantial deck area which annexed the restaurant from the rear garden was a pleasure. |I even got to see some of the local wildlife (Canada Geese) at a distance that worked their way through the reed beds of the lake to scour the grass for dinner. ||Overall, this was probably the best hotel experience of dozens that I've had in Germany. |I'd certainly look for an opportunity to stay there again

excellent hotel, great location in a beautiful park at the lake. Spacious rooms, very clean and quiet. Great restaurant with superb service. The Hannover messe is about 45 minutes drive still (busy traffic)but worth the time if you want to stay away from the busy city||Only tip would be to have showercaps available :-)

I made a stopover in this charming nice hotel with my family . The overall impression of this hotel is good - very nice modern pool , good restaurant with vegetarian options. IMHO the room and bathroom we got requires some renewal to make it more cosy. Wifi speed and coverage should be also improved. All the rest of the experience was very positive.

Really good hotel with a great resturant, beer garden and wonderful setting. Rooms lead out onto a view of the lake. Great setting, had a barbecue onto the patio outside on a summers evening. There is a wine cellar but did not get a chance to try it. There are a few small lakes around the hotel and wonderful paths to go run or just for a walk.

I booked this hotel as the regular hotels were full due to trade exhibitions. It was booked without any research and I was pleasantly surprised when I got there. My bedroom was on 2 levels with stairs up to the bed area on a mezzanine floor, nicely decorated with contemporary furniture. The following morning there was a huge breakfast in the restaurant laden with cheeses, meats, cereals and breads. The staff were amazingly friendly and I wouldn't look elsewhere now when coming back to Hannover.
