Modest rooms in a relaxed guesthouse offering terrace dining & a wine bar, plus free breakfast. Set in a pair of half-timbered homes, this rustic guesthouse with an annex is a 2-minute walk from the River Tauber and 12 km from sights in Rothenburg ob der Tauber town center such as the Deutsches Weihnachtsmuseum. Sleeping 1 to 3 people, the modest rooms feature exposed wood beams, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Parking is complimentary, as is breakfast (including home-produced honey) served in a restaurant that has wood-beamed ceilings and a terrace. There's also a wine cellar bar and function rooms. Pets are welcome for an additional fee.
"Lars Zwick has been running this cosy, rustic-style inn in the charming Tauber Valley for many years. The cuisine is regional and seasonal, and the excellent produce is sourced locally as far as possible. Freshly prepared sausages (made in-house) are served on Thursdays and Fridays. Some of the wines – to pair with delicious dishes such as rack of lamb in a herb crust – come from the restaurant's own vineyard. They also produce their own fruit brandies and keep bees. The old barn serves as a function room and wine tastings are held in the vaulted cellar. The pretty guestrooms exude rural charm." - Michelin Inspector
