I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during a weekend visit to the Sauerland area. Rooms are spacious, and all have a small seating area with couch and comfy chair. Very small tv, but it does have 30 channels including a few in foreign languages. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. No aircon, which might be a problem during hot days. Bathroom is all fine (shower without tub, which is absolutely fine for me) but maybe a bit too white. That is also true for the curtains, which leads me to the one and only issue we had with this hotel: the curtains are white and too thin, and barely keep out the light in the morning. Consequently we woke up at 5 a.m. The window shutters are for decoration only, so not much use either. Somebody from the hotel staff was kind enough to improvise additional curtains using dark coloured sheets, which largely solved the problem for the second night. Furthermore hotel guests should be aware that noise from the bar and restaurant can be heard in the room, and that this usually continues to midnight or so. As we are late sleepers it was not an issue for us (unlike the morning sun), but if you plan on going to bed early then best ask for a room that is as far away as possible from where the noise is. we didn't dine in the restaurant so can't comment on the quality of the food. Breakfast however was tasty bu simple, with only cold items.||||The hotel is right in the center of Remblinghausen, which is a cute agricultural village with stables and cattle mixed with houses. Very little traffic in the village, especially in the evenings. A small supermarket and 2 or 3 other stores are all the village has to offer in terms of commerce, but the much larger town of Meschede is a mere 5 km (5 mins by car) away.
