"Here, tradition rubs shoulders with current trends in cosy little spaces that feature an attractive blend of old brickwork, wood, steel and glass. The regional and seasonal cuisine is scattered with international influences. Medieval vaulted cellar for events. This family-run business also offers attractive, individually designed guestrooms and wellness facilities." - Michelin Inspector

Unfortunately I could stay just 1 night there. Very charming an romantic hotel. Quite large room with good view on the countryside. Exceptional staff, quite warm and welcoming. It was a pleasure to stay there. 5 stars for breakfast, plenty of special delicatessen.

This traditional countryside hotel was the last stop on my five day road trip back and forth to Copenhagen from Switzerland. It's located in the very center of a small town close to the Black Forest featuring numerous wine makers and a few things from past times to visit. The hotel has been in the same family for generations and appears to be well run. My room was big with excellent bed and pillows but the decoration was not really to my taste. Also, I don't like taking my shower in a bath tub without anti-slip pattern and poor water run-off. A decently long shoehorn, so useful for older folks was missing. There is a spa section with a decently large pool where you can study the human walrus variants on their beds. I had an early dinner the day of my arrival, chosen from a rather restricted and quite costly menu (it was Monday). However, the food was excellent and portions large. There is a good choice of local wines or beers to accompany your meal. Breakfast matches the star rating and includes delicious, local products that you normally do not find in four star hotels run by chains. So overall, a very good experience but room for improvements here and there...

Second time we visit this charming hotel. Unpretentious, but designed to help guests enjoy the best in life. Delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, heartfelt and kind staff, and the best bit is the wellness area. We love the pool! We also found the rooms comfortable, and a blast back to 80s decor, which we hear are making a come back..

We have stayed overnight in this lovely hotel twice the first time (July14) in the original part of the hotel where the rooms retained an older original feel. The room was large and comfortable with all one needed for your stay. Second time was in May this years and we had a large room in the newer part of the hotel next to the Wellness Suite again everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We ate in the restaurant both time and the service was excellent with one of the management on hand to translate the menu. The food was excellent and cooked as asked for. The setting was tranquil in the garden with water running over stones and small fountains. Breakfast spread over 4 areas had a wonderful selection of fruit, cereal, bread, meat and cheese. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. This hotel is defiantly on our stay again list .

We had a large room with balcony in the yellow tower building. It was great that a fan was available as it was a very warm night. The bathroom was big but strangely there was no shower door or curtain so water sprayed all over the floor, also the shower head was not able to go high enough so I had to wrench my neck to get hair under water! Nevertheless this a very nice hotel, the breakfast was superb including loads of fresh fruit, great bread rolls and homemade jams. I tried the new outdoor pool, it was very refreshing at the end of a very hot day, unfortunately the whole pool area is not yet finished so it was a bit of a building site. I am sure it will be lovely when it's finished.

I absolutely loved my stay here, during a recent business trip. My room had a big balcony that was very private, and the room was very big. It felt like I was in my own apartment. There's also a restaurant in the hotel and it is AMAZING!!! The food and drink was some of the best I've ever had. It felt like I was coming back to a peaceful, serene spa and wellness zone, after each day of work. I loved everything about this stay and if you're looking to get away and escape to somewhere where you can immerse yourself in serenity and peace, then go and escape to this place. I could easily go back for a week of vacation. I've never felt so relaxed during a business trip. I recommend this place for couples who want to get away and spend some time together.

Rooms in the hotel are big and comfortable, some of them with nice balcony. Good breakfasts : some cheeses, sausages, fruits... Scrumbling eggs you have to order. Nice and helpfull staff. One remark : there is no air condition, so the rooms are very hot in the summer.

Wonderful stay. The restaurant is amazing (don't forget to try it ! ). I wish that the wellness area was a bit more sound proofed (we would hear kids playing outside, which made it a bit distracting when trying to relax ). Also less lights in wellness rooms would be appreciated (window blinds or curtains maybe). Beds were a bit hard for our tastes. Parking is very very easy, which is always good when you arrive after a long drive.
