"Here at the Bio-Landhotel Moarwirt, the excellent food is made out of primarily organic ingredients – indeed, the place has Naturland and Slow Food certification. The modern Alpine-style dining rooms are very pretty; in summer the terrace is a real hit. You can also stay overnight comfortably. N.B. weekly closures vary out of season." - Michelin Inspector

Generally good and tasteful food. However, nothing really special, creative or outstanding, even the Guide Michelin has recommended the place. The service is friendly and helpful. The menu could have been a bit more diverse, you should note the names of the dishes are often misleading or does not match your expectations. Everything is BIO and you have to pay for it! I had interpretation of vitello tonnato, which was great and very tasteful. The chicken leg & breast was a bit dry and the barley was a bit like risotto (slimy). The cream puff desert did not taste crunchy and fresh (the interpretation was creative - no doubt), but the implementation as lagging on freshness. Altogether the three dishes cost almost 60 EUR. On weekends you need to make a reservation, otherwise you will have only limited options.

We stayed here for a party. The bedrooms itself seemed newly refurbished, were simply decorated and fit for purpose - we slept really well. Our room was away from the loft and we did not hear any noise from the parties on both nights we stayed.||||The restaurant (organic) food and service as well as the party in the loft were outstanding. There was a good choice and everything we had was prepared and served with care and attention. We had a really good time! ||||Also loved the breakfast, instead of a buffet, everything was placed on the table. There was a great variety of lovely food - nice touch!||||Reception could do with a bit of polish - sending a guest to an unmade room is not on, even if they arrive before official check-in time. On departure they tried to insist on cash payment - this simply is not acceptable when you have international guests and are trying to be (and charge) much more than your average Bavarian Gasthof. They eventually relented and we payed with credit card.||||Wifi reception in the rooms was poor, mobile reception too. We went to the restaurant and the loft where Wifi was very good.

Generally good food and service. The menu could have been a bit more specific though. Listed on the menu was a risotto, but what it actually was was a rice dish with vegetables. Not bad but not a risotto. If you decide to dine there I would recommend ordering one of their house made lemonades.

This place is mainly known to insiders from the Region, attracting an upmarket clientele, including younger people, because of its trendy bavarian cuisine, and because of the modern interior design with contemporary art. A tasteful style mix with the traditional rural building and surroundings. The Restaurant and the outside terrace are beautiful and atmospheric, the event room maybe not so. Parents will appreciate the small children playground in the garden. Overall, a nice recommendation for a food stop in the countryside or a short romantic overnight stay.

This place is fabulous and, as someone who is extremely picky about food and dining in the right ambiente, I don’t say that lightly. As a vegetarian in Bavaria your options are well and truly limited. Moarwirt, however, has a really good, inventive vegetarian menu. Saying that, we do eat fish and the fish is highly recommended too. And if you come with children, there is an extensive, healthy kids menu to suit even the pickiest of eaters. The place is very much family run with very sweet staff, a relaxed place to go with children especially in the summer months, though the cosy wood-paneled interior is also not to be missed. Run with love and understanding that you don’t have to be like all the other places, this is a true gem. Book for sure, and no matter where you’re coming from, it’s worth the drive. One of our top recommendations in the whole of Oberbayern.

After a trip through the German alps we stopped at the Moarwirt for an early dinner. It was wonderful to sit outside in the garden where the friendly and attentive staff served ice cold drinks and hot or cold food for the hungry. I thoroughly enjoyed the Boefflamott while the rest of the table were happy with their selection. We can without hesitation recommend this place.

This rating is only about the Restaurant - I used to like this restaurant very much, however in the last time prices are now fairly high, the size of the menu has shortened, and overall satisfaction has drop. In September 2018 after a reservation, we ended up waiting 1 hour 40 minutes to start our lunch. The people in the table next to us left after waiting for over an hour. I am sad as this used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and probably this was my last time

Yelp
I was invited here for a meeting and ended up staying here for a night. It's a small hotel in a tiny little village and in the countryside. There is about 15-20 rooms here I think located on one floor. The rooms are pretty small and the big bed takes away most of the open space in the room. You have to squeez things in and space is at a premium. The curtains are not the best and it gets bright early. The rooms back onto a long balcony with a nice view. The room has most amenities and the bathroom was tiny. The shower was also very small and it just felt cramped overall. It was ok for one night but I would recommend a bigger room for a longer stay. Breakfast here is very nice with homemade muesli, nice bread and organic spreads. They make you nice coffee and I loved the breakfast. A nice hotel in countryside Bavaria.
