"This family-run restaurant in the hotel of the same name is justly popular, for the food is well priced and the service fast and friendly. The seasonal, regional fare on offer includes dishes such as Baden pike dumplings in Riesling sauce. The good-value lunch menu is also a big draw. Don’t miss the delicious home-baked cakes." - Michelin Inspector

Came here for a birthday meal. Food was outstanding and portions were large. Would definitely recommend it.

It's been several years since we've been here (eight?) and if anything it's only better than ever. I can only speak to the restaurant, not the hotel (but if the restaurant is any indication, the hotel will be exceptional as well). We were a large family group - 18 people. All ordered a la carte after a sekt 'toast' on the very nice terrace toward the back. The staff had no trouble whatsoever in keeping up with the orders and everyone received their meal more or less together, a true testament to efficiency. The meals were universally excellent, well prepared, served attractively and hot. Plenty of wines to choose from, moderately priced, and the meals themselves were typically priced for the region. Speaking of region, one can have several regional dishes, prepared from locally sourced ingredients. I don't believe anyone would be unhappy with the service or food at the Muehlenhof.

Excellent lunch menu served in traditional dining area by friendly, competent staff. Totally enjoyable from start to finish. Price was more than fair, given the quality and variety of the meal.

I have visited hotel Muehlenhof many time over the last 5 years, mainly on business. This is a traditional Black Forest hotel with lots of traditional wooden decor. While the hotel rooms are now a little dated and tired, they are very clean and functional. The breakfasts are varied and excellent. They even provide bacon & eggs! Now the restaurant is also top class serving fresh produce from the area, presented beautifully and served by nice ladies in traditional Dirndls. The dining area is quite large and traditionally decorated, However, there is a nice new area using the same wooden decor theme. In summer there is an excellent terrace. I have eaten when it is very busy and the service and quality standards are maintained. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. I wish I had such a restaurant closer to me...... Highly recommended.

Always a pleasure to get back to the Muelenhof Hotel. Benn here on and off over the last 10 years and it keeps it's Blackforest charm and improves with time. No fancy check in just go to the restaurant and announce your arrival. Rooms are Functional, Clean and spacious. a favorite part of the stay is the Blackforest Breakfast with great selection if fruit, nuts, cereal, yoghurt, Cheese, meat eggs ....and the best part of the Stay is the Dinner in the restaurant. Make sure to book in advance. They recently added a beautiful large extension to the restaurant but still gets full. so you can guess the good local reputation it has. Staff are very friendly and professional allot from the owning family. I recognize them even after years so they are experienced. Great food, great traditional village location, Hope to be back again soon. till then Guten Appetit !

I used to live in Oberweier back in the 70s and I was on a trip to re-capture old memories. When I was young, the Muelenhof was a great place to eat. But sadly, when I arrived in August, I found that although the hotel was open, the restaurant was closed. The woman at the desk was not very friendly, but she did provide us with some options for supper. The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. Note that there is no air conditioning and at the time, the outside temperatures were sweltering in the high 30s. Bedding was limited to thick duvets, so it was not a very relaxing few nights - no fan, no air conditioning. Breakfasts were excellent, with many different meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurt, fruits, breads and jams. The woman helping with the breakfast was very thoughtful and cheery. I would stay there again due to the comfortable beds and great breakfasts, but perhaps not during the hottest part of summer.

This hotel is in a quaint little city in the Black Forest. I stayed here 13 years ago when I was on business, and came back on a family trip last October. The hotel was just as perfect now, as it was 13 years ago. Window boxes filled with beautiful flowers, and it is in a very quite neighborhood. The restaurant is wonderful too, and very big. If you are there on a weekend, you probably will have to make reservations, because it stays full all night. The rooms are very comfortable, and clean, and the staff is great. You are within a 1 hour drive to Strasbourg, France & Freiburg, Germany so it was a perfect location for day trips in the Black Forest. I will always stay here when traveling through the Black Forest of Germany.
