We spent two nights at this hotel because it is a family favorite - and with good reason. First, the hotel building and surroundings are simply beautiful and very attractively laid out, with pleasant spaces to sit indoors and outdoors. The rooms are spacious and well-designed, the beds great for a good night's rest. The staff is well-trained, friendly and very helpful. One family member has food intolerances and the hotel accommodated her problems repeatedly over the two days with skill and patience. Breakfast is extra and not cheap, but it is plentiful and varied. The hotel has developed a reputation for its excellent food. The geographic area the hotel is located in is simply gorgeous! We highly recommend staying here. Since we speak German, I can't address the staff's ability to speak English.

A really nice quiet comfortable and inexpensive hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, with local produce. Great choice. You have ample parking spaces.

We stayed overnight as part of our visit to Bautzen. Although some 20 minutes away, it was a delightful hotel, clean, rural, featuring a large garden and extensive indoor spaces. The facility is nicely decorated and generously furnished. We each found the beds and pillows soft, lumpy and uncomfortable. The result was a restless night for each of us. Although our room faced the rear of the hotel, the noise from an occasional truck could still be heard. We found the breakfast average for a German hotel - which means pretty good in most other countries. The prices were reasonable for the location and quality.

We were there with 22 motorcycles and stayed 4 nights. Rooms are spacy, clean, WiFi is very strong, all staff is very friendly and very helpful.|The food is excellent, and the BBQ on Saturday perfomed by smoker equipment was delicious.|I can recommend this location without any douts.

The small Hotel "Landgasthof" is nicely renovated in an idyllic landscape. The room looks new and has a decent size with a view over the fields. All rooms are on ground level in an extra building connected to the main building. Parking is free and right in front of the hotel. Double room was 90 EUR incl a very good breakfast selection incl free range eggs, wurst, cheese, fruits, different breads, cereals, homemde jams, etc.. My only critisism is about the beds. Not very comfortable. I did not sleep well. Compared to other hotels of this level the beds need some investments. I mean in the end I am in a hotel to sleep. And the sauna is 8 EUR extra (god knows why). That's why I only give 4 of 5 rating points. The main asset of the house is the kitchen. Restaurant chef gained international expierience eg in 5 star hotels in Switzerland. Menue is fantastic and the food very delicious. Small minus is the calculation of the wine prices which is factor 3,7-4,2 to what an end consumer would pay for the same bottle online. In rutal Italy that would be 1,5-2,5 as a maximum. In Germany it's usually 2,5-3,5 from my experience. No wonder a lot of people are not drinking bottles at restaurants. It is almost prohibitive. Overall it was a great experience and given the total value you get during the stay I can recommend this lovely place. Last but not least the people who own the place and who work there are very warm harted, friendly people.

Spatious and comfortable rooms, but the bed and pillows are way too soft. Breakfast is very good, with quite some choice to everyone's likings.

A very pleasant hotel run by friendly and competent staff in a picturesque and interesting corner of Germany. Looking forward to our next visit.
