It has been quite a long time since my last visit so I’m quite excited to have hot pot here tonight to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Unfortunately the experience is far from satisfactory. We do not particularly enjoy the interactions with the server who seems to be quite rude. We asked about the options for the soup base and he bluntly replied you can choose any hot pot base but we will charge each of them individually. We understand this is your pricing however it’s how they communicate is the big issue - body language and tonality are rude and impolite. For the restaurant, it looks more or less the same, or older, than before. Really hate their parking system to allow cars to over-parked to block other cars. When we leave they need to ask other customers to move their car so to free up the space to exit. In terms of food, we ordered the chicken soup base with lobster. The soup base is salty, I probably used up two days of sodium intake in tonight’s dinner. They put both the chicken and lobster to the pot before serving to the table. It forces us to quickly consume the food or take them out of pot before eating where the food would get cold. In any event, this traditional hot pot place has their loyal returning customers however I’m not one of them. Quite disappointed on the $$$ to the value. Not worth it.

We didn’t have many good dining experiences in Canada. When we went to Deluxe for dim sum, the server had a bad attitude, didn’t check on us often, and didn’t help us exchange plates at all, it felt like she was forced to work that day or look down on us because we don’t wear luxury brands. We gave tips so we were upset about that experience. Because of that, we were hesitant to dine out again. However, this place gave us the best experience of our Canada trip! The servers were funny and friendly. Our server checked on us frequently despite being busy and was very polite. The food was also really delicious. They offer so many different soups that we’ve never seen at hot pot places in Seattle! We will definitely come back and recommend it to our Seattle friends!

I’d like to share some feedback on my recent dining experience at Chunqiu Hot Pot. First of all, there has been a change in the policy regarding condiments—items that used to be complimentary, such as chopped cilantro (priced at $3.80 per serving), soy sauce and chili, are now chargeable. Secondly, the pork bone soup base tastes like it contains more MSG than before, leaving a dry, thirsty feeling after the meal. For a group of four, our total expenditure has exceeded our psychological expectation. We hope the restaurant will consider adjusting the condiment pricing policy and improving the soup base recipe.

Best hotpot place in town. Very good services with high end food quality. Always come back hosting guests.

Very authentic and delicious congee soup base hot pot! The manager recommended us to stew beef first. But we like the fresh and sweet flavor from seafood so we put seafood first. It's so good!!! Plums chicken wings are great, too. Service is excellent! The only shortage is the high price but it's reasonable considering its quality.

Excellent place! Landmark Hotpot House impressed me with incredibly delicious food and outstanding service. It was my very first hotpot experience, where the dishes are cooked right at the table, and I absolutely loved it! The seafood, meat, and vegetables were extremely fresh, beautifully presented, and the interactive cooking process made dinner especially memorable and enjoyable. The staff was attentive, responsive, and friendly—I felt very comfortable throughout. I will definitely return and bring my friends to try this amazing experience! Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates delicious food and excellent service!

A brand new experience of hotpot. Non-oily soup base of pork bone is fantastic by itself. All the ingredients were so fresh, range from seafood to handmade meatballs! Fish maw is tasty and has a unique texture. scallop is the best of the best. The shell is almost face size. Steamed with garlics and poured with hot oil on top of it. Many more soup bases and food to try next time!🥰

I recently visited a hot pot restaurant that was recommended to me for its freshness, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the high price. To start, the prices were much higher than expected. Each soup base costs $30, and while they offer a variety of beef options, we ordered three different kinds, each priced at $40 per plate. Despite the plates being large, there were only a few pieces of beef on each, which made the meal feel overpriced for the portion size. The vegetable dishes were similarly expensive, which added to the overall steep bill. While people had recommended this place for its fresh ingredients, I had a very unpleasant experience with the air conditioning. The air conditioner above our table was leaking, and water was dripping directly onto our food. When I informed the server about the issue, they simply ignored my concern. This meant we had no choice but to continue eating food that had been exposed to dirty air conditioning water, which was not only unappetizing but also unsanitary. Given the high prices and the lack of attention to basic hygiene, I can confidently say we won’t be returning. For the cost, I would have expected a much better dining experience.

This is my go to hot pot place growing up. You know it's legit when Drake is seen here. The waygu cubes melt in your mouth, the fried sticky rice is a must order and prune juice. Service is always speedy and ambiance hasn't changed at all. I would bring a sweater cause the AC and fan is strong. Parking can be challenging so I recommend parking on the side streets

Long wait without reservation but the food exceeds my expectation. I'm from San Francisco where plenty Chinese foods around, but this is one of the best Hong Kong style hotpot I have had in north America. Service was great but maybe a bit slow.

This is the best hot pot in Van since 1980! Every time go to Vancouver must eat one hot pot at Landmark to fulfill my dreams!

Seafood and hot pot is the best combo! We ordered straight from the kitchen a salt pepper deep-fried fish head, steamed scallops, and their famous black peppercorns Dungeness crab. For 45 mins, we munched on the fresh seafood from the kitchen. It was the second part of the meal that we started the hot pot with sliced pork, sliced beef, and all the vegetables. We will come back soon!

When you are in Vancouver feeling for some Asian food for a late dinner say 10 pm where do you go? Always count on Landmark. A reliable authentic establishment for decades. A hotpot connoisseur's choice. Fresh ingredients. Not the most modern setting but the food quality more than makes up for it. Opens till 2 am daily you can take everything home if you can't finish. Yes even the uncooked items and soup base from the hotpot!

OOF this place is pricey pricey but I can see you get what you pay for! I came here as a recommendation from my friend and I can understand why! First of all, this is not an all you can eat place! my fiance and i spent about $110? for the broth, one plate of meat and a bowl of spinach lol. honestly, the broth was soooo good, it was super rich in flavor and not overly salty. the meat was okay but i felt like they freeze the meat AFTER they cut it so it was hard to cook the meat individually since they all stuck together. our server was very nice and even offered us hot water to drink instead of tea later on in the night because caffeine makes you stay up! would i come back? i think i would come back if i was with a larger group so i could try different things!

Extremely overpriced with mediocre food. The fish is not fresh but frozen instead. The server/owner with black suit will aggresively push you to order more if you didn't order their extremely overpriced seafood. Avoid this place if you want to spend $100+ per person.

Hotpot is not something I would consider in a balmy 30 degrees celsius (86 Fahrenheit) day. However it is something my guests regardless the season prefer. We have been to this place many times in the past. Perhaps once/twice a year for the past 20 odd years. Food here is of premium quality not necessarily the healthiest. 9/10 Service is also at a high level which is very rare for Chinese restaurants. 9/10 Ambiance is getting a bit worn down but the patrons seem to enjoy the food here. Even at 9pm on a weeknight where the neighbourhood restaurants are hosting crickets, LHP is fully booked. 7/10 Price/value. This depends on how you look at it. Expensive yes. Is the price justified? As long as the demand is there, where folks are willing then the price is fair. This seems to be the case. 8/10 Definitely not a value eat. A semi fomo/status joint to be exact. Thankful not having to foot the bill.

This is the best Hong Kong hotpot I've ever tasted. It is a bit pricy, the broth we picked was like $80. But the ingredients are so fresh! We also ordered a bunch of veggies, fresh fish, lamb, and beef. The beef was very tender and fish was fresh. The broth was so tasty. The service was great too. I would give this place a 10 star! A must visit in Vancouver.

This is a legit hot pot place in Vancouver. How do I know? 1) majority of the menu was not in English 2) servers barely spoke English 3) there were a lot of Chinese people on a busy Friday late night. It was intimidating to say the least walking in not knowing any Chinese. My girls and I agreed having someone who understands and can speak the language would be helpful. We resorted to doing a lot of picture looking on Yelp! And looking and pointing to things other people had on their tables. We almost ordered a full fish because we asked for what kind of seafood and the server said he had one that was 1lb and it was thirtysome CA for it. Well...he came back with a fish over 3lbs..we quickly were able to cancel that request. As intimidating as it was, we were able to order what we wanted and it was one of the best hot pots I have had. They had quality meats and veggies and they give you a lot! For broth, we did the traditional pork and the schezuan and whoa was it spicy! Good spicy though because it clears you up and great on a cold day! The restaurant does BYOB too if you want to bring anything in but they do have a drink list to order from too.

The vegetable is way too expensive. The soup base is OK, but definitely not worth the price.

We were there on a Friday night. Parking at the back was limited and we were lucky to get the last spot. The restaurant was packed at 8 pm. We had a reservation and was seated soon. The live fresh shrimp was delicious last time many years ago. This time even though the shrimps were alive but they were not as sweet and the texture was somewhat mushy. Quite a disappointment for us. Beef was good and veggies were fresh. The next table over was doing shots and were loud. Food is expensive and based on the overall experience I would probably not return.

A longstanding Vancouver restaurant, this is the perfect place to go on a cold winter night with family or friends. This place is loud, like Asian family gathering loud, so expect that type of ambiance. Did you know they also play happy birthday for you on their sound system too? It's great! Landmark is always one of the pricier places for hotpot in town but it's not pricy for its branding, extravagant decor or noodle dances. Rather - it's reasonably pricy for the quality of its food. Every plate is a piece of art. From the soup bases (I tried shark bone, wow) to the raw dishes, everything is phenomenally fresh. If you're willing to splurge, live seafood is an option. I like the ox tongue, fatty beef, scallop and pork jowl the most. Their fishballs are also extra chewy and "bouncy". Come early or make a reservation beforehand because wait times can be very long. I do like that they have shared long tables where two groups of people can dine with stoves on each end (or one big group). Servers are sometime forgetful, and don't expect much better than your typical cha chan tang (HK style joints), but they never have time to stand around and are always running around.

definitely worth a visit when you are in town, just prepare to spend $$$$$! everything was fresh, the beef, the fatty beef was AWESOME, we prob had 10 plates! the hand made balls were a must order item too. everything, literally everything was great! i've never seen oysters THAT big - it's baked so it's NOT raw and no you don't put them into your pot. they were SO good and not gross at all (some people get scared cus of the size.....) we didn't try any of the seafood - although they look real good as well! maybe.... maybe next time when i am in town!

Really authentic Cantonese hotpot! Came here with a friend from Guangzhou. We got the mushroom&chicken clay pot as our carbs. For the soup base, we got the pork bones. The soup itself was sooo rich and flavorful. Do give yourself a serving before putting anything down, and you will love it! The Japanese sliced beef was really fresh and tasty! We Enjoyed it more than the sliced lamb. The specialty, which is smashed fish with fried tofu skins was okay. The vegetables were good. The dessert, which was the red bean soup, was yummy and overly sweet. A great treat to finish!

My coworkers and I came here with our client for dinner. We reserved a table a week in advance. We knew this restaurant was always packed and full of customers. That means the food must be good. We ordered a lot of beef and lamb as well as some seafood. The quality of the food was great and fresh! We ordered the food based on the number of people. It was not all you can eat type of hot pot, so we wouldn't waste the food. We also ordered a couple bottles of wine/champagne. The customer service was great. However, once the restaurant was busier, it seems to be under staff. We had to wait for a while whenever we needed to order something. Pricing wise.... it was a bit more expensive than other hot pot places, but it was what it was. We paid for good qualify and fresh food. It was worth it! There is a parking lot behind the restaurant. If there is no parking at the back, there is street parking, so no worries about finding a parking spot. Overall, we had a great experience here tonight. This is the only hot pot restaurant in this neighbourhood. If you want hot pot for dinner, you can consider coming here. They open from 5pm to 1 or 2am.

Been here a couple of times now. The service was really good, our server joked with us and recommended the amount of items that would be enough. This isn't all-you-can-eat so be aware of what you order and expect to spend more than other hot pot places. This one is pricier but I find that the quality of the food a bit better. Other places are a set dinner price for all you can eat, this place is per item. Another place on Robson is the same 'per item'. The lamb and beef were fresh, the cow stomach and dumplings were good as well. I think we ordered the lingcod too but my friend ordered the items so I'm not entirely sure, I was just there to eat.. :) The food came out fast and they gave us a couple of side trays to hold the extra dishes. They don't give you a lot of sauces, think we only had the satay and peanut sauce which I didn't use. You would need to ask for other dipping sauces & items. The place on Robson has a whole counter of different sauces, different hot sauces, green onions, cilantro, etc. When those top restaurant reviews come out, Landmark is usually number 1 but I find that some other places are a bit better. The layout is spacious so you don't feel cramped or like you have to carefully maneuver around to avoid knocking over some other table's food tray.

Thought the food was good but two of us had DIARRHEA after. Suspect something is off either the pork bone soup base or the deep fried black cod. The black cod is pretty expensive and fresh. Ordered cooking in two ways, hotpot and deep fried. The hotpot one was very tender I d recommend. The deep fried one was so oily so greasy. The oil didn't taste right too.. The waiter tried so hard to sell their fish head soup base (of cause that s the most expensive) and we said we don't eat fish head. And then I asked for any non MSG soup base recommendation, he still recommended the fish head soup and said the rest are all msg included ( well you know might be from some soup extract). In general maybe only the fresh seafood worth splurging

All I can say is to check what you ordered before you pay. We visited from Los Angeles and wanted to try their hot pot. Service is good but I felt I had been cheated on the bill !!

This place is so amazing!! Hands down best hot pot I've ever had. I came here once last year when I visited Vancouver, and let's just say when I came back to Vancouver this year we literally booked an airbnb that was walking distance from here (the fact it's close to a subway station helped :p) so we could come more often! We came back twice in 1 trip! The funny thing is, non-food wise, this place has so many red flags that normally would make me rate it lower, but the food is just so damn good I don't care about any of those things and would eat here forever no matter what (unless their food was literally making me sick)! Let's talk about the food - the ingredients are so, SO fresh, high quality, and delicious. Fatty beef - incredibly marbled and just melts in your mouth. Lamb - mixed in the spicy broth is heaven. Fish tofu - chewy, and great umami. Seafood - all their seafood is live and they'll show you what I looks like before preparing it for you; you can get anything from shrimp, to crab, to lobster, to fish, to geoduck, to abalone. There is an array of very fresh seafood, very signature of an expensive Chinese restaurant. Meat balls and wonton are clearly home made and very fresh. Even the veggies! I had the best spinach of my life and I don't even like spinach lol. Now the broth - there are many, many broths to choose from, and each just has an incredibly distinct flavor. They're not cheap broths mind you (anywhere from $8-$60), but you certainly get what you pay for. We've gotten the Szechuan spicy version which is very potent, spicy, and numbing. It was so good my boyfriend (who's not very spicy tolerant) drank 2 whole spoonful of it because it was so delicious! The parsley and thousand egg broth had such a refreshing, and aromatic flavor I made the most delicious veggies in it. The pork bone soup is meaty and comes with enough food in it to make it its own hot pot! Now the "sketchy" stuff... the servers prefer to speak Chinese so that coupled with a confusing menu makes the first ordering stressful (but after the first time, we learned to study the menu beforehand so we know what to order lol). Reservations don't mean much (at least for 2)... when they get really busy during dinner time, you'll get served when you get served. The prices some times seem like totally pulled out of a hat and have no consistency - lamb is $12, beef can be ~$25, then abalone is like $120/lb (min 1.5 lbs), veggies are HUGE plates for $8, fresh shrimp is $5 per shrimp. And lastly, they vary between having VERY good service to some times ignoring you. But! As I said, given how tasty this place is, none of this matters and I've found ways around it all!

This hot pot place is one of the BEST in town. Their quality is absolutely amazing. It is a bit on the pricier side but you are paying for quality here!! The beef slices have amazing marbling and the perfect thickness (I'm drooling just thinking about it). The seafood here is without a doubt fresh af because the shrimp was still moving when it was at our table (all their food is super fresh). I love the fact that they have unique items on their menus like chicken testicles, goose chitterlings(intestines), and geoduck that you don't find at all hotpot restaurant. Also they have really BOMB chicken wings, it's super crispy with a slight bit of sweetness. The chicken wings are a MUST TRY since it's not something people order at a hotpot restaurant. Not to mention they have fresh tofu pudding with brown sugar and ginger syrup (you can ask for savoury additives as well which was super accommodating for my diabetic mother). Service here is outstanding, the servers recommend what's in season, checks up on you, and changes your plates in a timely manner. The parking can be tricky sometimes because it's so busy here, but they have a nice man out back who helps with parking. He also comes in to tell you to move the car if it's blocking someone. Talk about service!! If there's no parking left in the back there's some free two hours parking around as well.

Waygu beef will melt in your mouth! The soup base is so favourable. I usually drink 2 bowls before I even put any hot pot ingredients in. Very good quality, just a bit pricy but worth it.

Best hot pot in town. I have been going here past 30+ years. Everything about it is great. Excellent beef. Tonight the fish tasted weird and bad. My girl friend and I both felt so. I apologized her for ordering the wrong dish and told her all other times the fish taste great. The owner saw we had one piece not cooked when we were packing other left over and asked why we weren't packing that fish. I explained today the fish was stale and not fresh. To my surprise he immediately took the fish to the kitchen - probably to tell the kitchen or to have someone taste it. He offered and took the $30 fish price off our bill. I will be surely be coming back for another 30 years to this restaurant. Normally I am already very impressed with all the waiter's service at the restaurant.

I was in Vancouver for work and discovered the award-winning Landmark in a list of the city's top restaurants. A big part of my decision to try it out was based on the fact that it's open late (2am to be exact). When I told the host (who also ended up being my server) that I would be dining alone, he gave me a look of scepticism and asked, "Do you know what hot pot is?" I had no idea... After consulting with the server about how to prepare the food and what type of ingredients I liked (pretty much everything) I was presented a meal that could have easily fed 3 people. What did I get myself into? The pot was divided into 2 sections - one contained a spicy broth and the other was mild. Both of them were seasoned beautifully. I was served scallops, squid, beef, mushrooms, spinach, noodles and cabbage. All of these ingredients looked and tasted fresh and the sauces they served on the side were delicious. Be careful if you have a nut allergy, because one of the sauces contain peanuts. The room is very well-lit, large and spacious with a minimalistic design. At first, I thought it was too cold in there, but once the steam from the boiling pot started to rise, the temperature of the room made perfect sense. I enjoyed my meal thoroughly and to the disbelief of my server, I ended up finishing everything all by myself. I still don't know if I should be proud or ashamed...

I haven't been able to go here since I was a kid. But I managed to get a chance to come again a few days ago with my family members. Their food was just as good as the last time I went. The prices would obviously be slightly more expensive because their food quality is generally good. Also, their restaurant is basically right beside the King Edwards Skytrain Station so the location is quite convenient for those who either doesn't want to or can't drive and find parking for this place. And their customer service is not bad at all. Bottom line, their food is generally quite delicious and pretty much fresh. Also they serve these plum juice (Which I think they make it themselves) to pretty much everyone is pretty delicious as well.

We were graving hot pot. The Kobe beef and lamb wasn't that great. Beef was not Kobe beef quality and chewy. We ordered frozen tofu, duck feet, taro, golden mushrooms. Sizes were pretty big. I see others order their fish balls and fresh seafood. I think we should have ordered Cantonese style hot pot ingredients or their specialties. They kept wanting to up sell like the broth to $60 ones and rice to clay pots. Recommend just the plain broth with comes with Napa cabbage. I don't like the spicy one - too much lard. Service was pretty good with free dessert.

This is Authentic classic old school Hong Kong style Hotpot.This restaurant has variety of soup and meat that you can select them from the menu.The soup was good and tasty.The meat were marinated perfectly made them very soft texture.This restaurant has three sauce not variety.The price was reasonable.

Landmark Hotpot is as authentic as this place gets. I have had Hotpot all over the US and never had it like this place. I was surprised by this place and thought it was a fun, okay place to go with friends. Came here on a Friday night and the place was packed. We ended up waiting about a half hour, and the place was so busy they ended up putting us in the second room with about 6 other tables since they were so busy. The menu is mostly in Chinese here. I was so used to going to Hotpot places and getting a combination plate where it had some meats, veggies and noodles and you just ordered that plate and that is all you needed. Not this place, you must order each thing individually. We had asked our waiter a few times for help since this was our first time being here and the waiter did not seem interested in helping. Thankfully we asked someone at another table and they were able to tell us more about what we should order. The quality of meats here is really good. You can choose pretty much any meat that you want from the menu. We ended up getting beef slices and chicken slices. We also got noodles, and bock choi. We ended up getting a ham bone soup to cook the food in. The broth was really good and tasted great. The food came out and we also had a few different sauces on the table to use to mix together for dipping sauces. They were really good. We asked our waiter a few times for how long we should cook items and did not really get a response. The overall dinner was pretty expensive. I really wish they had a combination plate at this place, but you get what you paid for and this was an authentic experience. I'd for sure recommend this place to try it out!

Phenomenal servers as they changed our (10 people table) plates and filled water and broth every 5 minutes. The hot pot itself was amazing, but the service truly made it stand out!

I love hot pot especially winter time, I have been this restaurant for past 15 years. I went there for dinner tonight, it wasn't busy as before. We ordered fatty beef, fish, squid and shrimp ball, taro and pig skin. tofu, veggie and sticky rice. Everything so fresh and good.

For lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine, hot pot is the ultimate experience in the Chinese dinning culture. The art of this dinning experience is to share the cooking and eating among close friends and families and to enjoy the art of cooking. Landmark Hotpot House is one of the experts in this dinning experience. The meat and vegetable selections are extensive and fresh, my complaint is that the price is steep. Most dishes are over $10, the fatty beef quality is excellent but the price is also high comparing to other hot pot restaurants in Richmond. The price of the Soup base is also quite high. A simple hotpot meal for 2 is easily over $100 with tips.

Have to update review because my second time here really showed me how delicious hot pot could be. Came We'd night around 10pm, and while the service in general was whatever, the food made up for it. Plus once my dining companion flagged down the manager who she knows, service got markedly better. Onto the food: order the crab and chicken broth--it's out of this world delicious. Probably best hot pot I've had ever. The beef slices were so tender and flavourful, and the crab and chicken that comes with the soul are perfectly seasoned by the soup, or vice versa. Anyway, every bite was great. Also ordered other stuff but I think it was he soil base itself that was so good. And those beef slices omg. Suggestion: just swish them for a few seconds and eat them medium rare. I never do this bc I'm paranoid about eating raw meat, but my host insisted this was the best way to enjoy the meat and she was right. Had the ginger egg pudding and the sweet potato soup for dessert. Manager threw in a free serving of dessert to go. We also took all the leftovers including the soup, and I recreated the meal at home to similarly fantastic results. Only regret was not ordering the dipping sauce (I like the spicy one). Skipped wine since I was driving home later and flying the next day, and this time I did get a glance at the bill. $100+ per person after tax/tip, which seems a bit steep for the dining environs but this place is truly all about he food. Plus we took home enough for another meal for one person. And you could technically skip the beef and other fixings and just eat the meat that comes with the soup and be very satisfied I'm sure. Must come back soon!

This place is so good that I came here twice in my short 5 day trip in Vancouver! This is legit Hong Kong style hot pot. Why can't we get this in LA??? I love all the varieties in the different soup bases. The first time I came, we did the duo pot with half white peppercorn, pig stomach, and sour vegetable soup and the other half with cilantro and thousand year old egg soup. LOVED the white peppercorn one as the spiciness only got more intense as we kept the pot boiling. The second time, we did one of the special ones - Macau pork bone broth. This was delicious as well!! Now on to all the items available to order! OMG!! So much to choose from, but I can only eat so much. Must orders: -Fish balls. I'm not sure what the fish is called in english, but they only have one type of fish balls. One order is 20 fish balls. But half orders are available as well if you ask the waiter! -Rice wine marinated chicken wings (not listed on menu, but available if asked). The alcohol evaporates after cooking, but you can still taste the light fragrance of the rice wine. -Shrimp. The shrimp they use is called coral shrimp and is native to the area. You can order by the pound or by a specific number. We ordered 6. Each one comes alive and skewered in order for fast cooking. -Pork cheek/neck meat. Pork here is great quality. -Seafood. So fresh. Get the fish, and the shellfish, and everything under the sea!! -Veggies. so much veggies to choose from, and all so fresh. -Egg. If you're cantonese and love dipping your cooked meats in beaten eggs, get the eggs here. I'm not sure where they get their eggs from, but they managed to get eggs with double egg yolks in every single egg. It's not an anomaly, its every single egg! Of course, when you get thirsty from all the eating, they give free sour plum juice! And once you are done, get dessert!! They have some of the best tofu flower dessert I have ever had. If you have a big party, you can order the one that comes in a tub. It serves 8-10 bowls. I tried ordering that but the waiters said it was too much for our small party of 3. Instead, he gave us 3 free bowls of the tofu flower dessert. Service: Great, given that they are so busy. They came by to refill our teapot, change our plates, etc. Parking: Tiny, tiny lot in the back. They have a guy in the lot directing cars where/how to park. If coming on a weekend, maybe try to find street parking to avoid the terrible parking.

Came here on a Wednesday night and it was busy but not packed. Expect to wait for a table during peak weekend periods. There are really two things I want to note about this place: 1. The quality of the food is very good for hot pot places - but can be a bit pricey - you're essentially paying for the quality. The variety is good too with different types of meat and seafood. Their fatty beef literally melts in your mouth. You also have the option of choosing your soup base from the basic consommé or fancier options for an extra cost. 2. The service is great, which is a rare feat for a Chinese restaurant if you frequent them. I'm used to staff who ignore you or are just plain rude, but the staff are friendly and helpful. This is my favourite hot pot place in Vancouver. Cost for 2 is approx $100-120 plus tip, but keep in mind it could easily cost more if you order some of the more expensive items like fresh seafood.

I was recommended to this restaurant by my colleague. So I decided to come here with my friends. Food is ok. Not that perfect. Hotpot is broken at the side, service is rude. We even do not finish yet. They came twice to ask if we are leaving. I felt so bad.

Best hotpot in Vancouver ever, the only thing is that the price is a bit high, but it deserves

It helps to know what to order before you get there.. but it's definitely one of the best (most authentic) hot pot experiences I've had in North America. I recommend the Sichuan spicy broth (spicy, delicious) and the consommé broth (cheap, neutralizer) + the fatty beef, the shrimp balls, some bok choy, and some lamb (tender and not gamey; I'm sensitive). Their black pepper crab is one of the best things in this world. The dry black pepper and black bean flavor combo is truly magical and addictive. I love that it's not the more common starchy, glossy sauce we often enjoy on Taiwanese crab dishes. Generally not for newbs who aren't used to authentic Asian foods/service, and very good for groups like your Asian family.

This is one of the original Hot Pot restaurant in Vancouver. We have not been here for ages and our friend wanted to come for Late Night Meal. (It starts after 10pm) We came in at 9:30pm and they let us order the Late Night Menu early. We ordered: Seafood Congee Satay Beef Clams with Black Bean Sauce Beef w/Vermicelli Noodle Veggie with Ginger Sauce The food is ok, I was more impressed with the friendly and efficient service perform by the wait staff. Our dishes were changed twice, our tea was refilled all without asking. This is a rare occurrence in any Asian restaurant these days.

Not recommended for tourists who don't speak Chinese as they didn't have time to explain or willing to. Extra careful for people who have special dietary needs. The meat was well marinated and the veggies came no cut feel right they just picked them out from the dirt lol.

It's definitely the best hot pot place in town. It's nothing fancy, but top quality. Seafood is fresh, meat balls and dumplings are decent, and the meats are good quality too. Haven't been there in awhile, not sure if they still have deep fried fish skin, it was so good! Fancy hot pot chains aren't bad, but this place serves real hearty hot pot.

Totally worth its title as best hotpot in Vancouver!!! I can't believe I've been to Vancouver 11years, and worked at a location quite close to the restaurant, but only tried it for the first time, and it's my second last day before moving to ontario... We ordered the pork bone soup base, with dates and dried shrimp in it. The beef slices... please see picture, lean and fat in between each other, and after boiled in the soup, taste so good! So tender. Same as for pork slices. Fiance paid for the meal so I didn't know exactly how much, but i heard him mention paid over $120 after tip and tax (ordered some other dishes like small sized taro, mixed greens, and meat balls...) for 2 of us. I am really glad the soup is not very salty, so I wasn't thirsty. Sauce was not needed either. I would definitely come back for their seafood, because i saw what was brought to other tables was super fresh!

PUT IT ALL IN MY MOUTH (after it's no longer scalding hot, please)!!! My partner was craving hot pot. She must be Asian because only a crazy person would want hot pot in the summer when we're sweating from even a 5 minute dog walk. But we came anyway. They didn't have a lone table so we had the long table where there's two pots on either side - who cares! You're not really so close to the other table that it's uncomfortable. We ordered fatty beef, napa cabbage, fish puffs, fish, sticky rice and noodles. It was just two of us so we weren't going to go crazy. The food was amazing as usual and so was the service. I love the prune juice here - yum! The total damage was $215 which sounds ridiculous but considering we had leftovers for 2 meals at home, that's not too bad. The quality is infinitely better than AYCE and better than some hot pot places I've eaten at in Richmond. There's a reason this place has been around for over 25 years. The reason I knocked off a star is the fish puffs weren't good this time. I don't know if they're not as fresh or what but we definitely were disappointed in them.

There's a reason why Landmark Hotpot House has 4.5 stars and it is because it's solid. Quite rare for me to say this but living in So Cali, there are really not too many legit hot pot places like this. The closest ones I've personally experienced are Little Sheep in the Bay - Nor Cal (fist pounds Susy C. for taking me) or Sweet Home Café on the island of Oahu, Hawai'i. Other than that, not too many other hot pot restaurants measure up or maybe I just haven't been exposed to them yet. Ever wanted to know what it is like to drive in Thailand? Well, just hit up Landmark's parking lot to the rear of the restaurant. It's a hot mess and can be nerve wrecking. Good thing they do have an attendant on standby & it sure beats feeding the meters on the street. At times my soccer mom mini van came within inches of a BMW M3 and a MBZ ML350. Good thing I brought them aZn driving skills with me & gracefully avoided any mishaps. We had a big party over 10+ and were lucky enough to be seated in their private room away from the rest of the general population. We even had our own personal waiter who was super friendly and very attentive. The guy was on top of his game. Mix and match the dipping sauces to your preference and be ready to chow down. We had the split soups (forgot what they exactly ordered) which the taste will eventually change as you keep adding different items into it. If you enjoy a little kick in your hot pot, they will happily bring out some fresh chopped chili and you can also ask for fresh and/or fried garlic which I do recommend. The hosts on our table ordered a lot of different items to throw into our melting pot of yumminess. We had everything from a variety of different vegetables to homemade meat balls. The beef was very red and lacked a lot of that white fat you tend to see at lower grade establishments. The taro was a little thick but I would suggest you cooking it a bit longer to soften it up. You can't go wrong with eating hot pot on a chilly night with a big crew. There's always plenty of food and you'll typically walk out feeling quite satisfied and possibly bloated. Two other dishes that deserve their own recognitions would have to be the garlic fried crab as well as the butter crab with noodles. Although you'll have to go hands on and get down and dirty, the messy work is well worth it. Both of these crab dishes were off the hook. The noodles from the butter crab were soft and rich. The crab meat was not all raggedy but fresh and full of vibrant meat as if the crabs were in their prime before meeting their demise. I'm sorry but your sacrifices but nothing went to waste. For dessert (if you even have room left) we were treated to sweet silky tofu with ginger to help soothe our stomachs. Besides the typical hot tea, they also have this cold plum juice. It's kind of weird at first but it slowly grows on you. It's almost as if they are trying to give you these things to help you digest all the food you're about to intake. Landmark Hotpot House, you did not disappoint me on this latest trip to Van City. Overall, an awesome hot pot experience and its unfortunate that I would have to take a three hour flight just to get a sample of this again.

My favorite hotpot place always has excellent service and lots of variety in their menu. Different selection of soup to choose from. All live seafood and fresh meats.

It's official. I am going to be trekking through the provinces of China in search of the perfect spicy ma-la sauce and hopefully a wise old chef will teach me the Sichuan cooking style (old school Iron Chef Chen Kenichi, where are you?) We got the split hotpot with the spicy ma-la broth and the fish broth, along with three plates of fatty beef slices, shiitake mushrooms, handmade meatballs/fishballs, fatty beef chunks, a plate of vegetables, and noodles made out of fish paste. The beef was amazingly tender and the meatballs/fishballs were the best I've ever had. I've never seen quality of this caliber at a hotpot restaurant, but maybe that's because the restaurants in the DC metropolitan area use frozen meat and lack fresh ingredients. The vegetables and noodles were cooked near the end, when the broth was saturated with flavor from cooking the meat. This provided for a wonderful noodle soup finish to the hotpot meal. Although I prefer the spicy ma-la broth while cooking the meat, the fish broth helped to cleanse the palette at the end of the meal. To top it all off, we got doe-hua (sp fail?), aka silky tofu with ginger syrup. They serve this dessert in a wooden bucket along with a teapot of ginger syrup and a plate of brown sugar. The brown sugar was a welcome surprise as I've never had it with this tofu before, but it was delicious. Service is never really a big deal for me, especially when the food is so good, but I must say that their service is the best I've ever experienced for an Asian hotpot restaurant.
