Lane Field Park

The food festival was great. Cruise ships were in. Music by the Tomitom Sho was great. The sourdough desserts were delicious.

Outstanding place to visit on a Sunday, when the food market is up and running. Work up an appetite with a walk along the sea or that whale watching cruise and then head for the park diagonally opposite the USS Midway museum. You have a range of food options from stalls to trucks, all fairly reasonably priced. But what makes it a five star is the vibe. The baos and the handmade ice creams were particularly nice.

Beautiful spot. No debating Sunday food market is a must visit. Despite large crowds there are many quiet cozy spots to eat and relax. Friendly service consistently. Dang Bros pizza is great

2022 Food Truck Month, Part 1 Every journey begins with a first step and we chose Lane Field Park for ours. Located on the corner of Broadway and Harbor in San Diego, California, it was there that we caught up with “Gnarly Nachos & Tacos.” We sampled the California Burrito Nachos, hot dog, and tater tots. While each were pretty good, we wouldn’t recommend exercising any sizable effort to sample them for yourselves. Good to know: Lane Field used to be the home of the San Diego Padres from 1936-1957 (when they competed in the Pacific Coast League and before they joined Major League Baseball as a franchise). Cool spot for food stands and live music on the weekends. Parking is not very good but the park itself is cool right near the bay.

It's great that the city placed monument here in honor of the past and probably would've been forgotten ball park. As you stand at home plate you can pretend that you was there and run the bases as there is glass to represent where they was. Also the pitchers mound is there. How awesome this ball park would've been to play at back in the day.

I enjoy this open space every time I go. They provide blankets in the shade of the trees. There are tables and chairs and also large benches. There are bathrooms nearby and during the markets there is always plenty of delicious food to choose from. The elote (Mexican corn) and the donuts are favorites of ours and the Indian food is also very good but there is so much more to choose from. Smoothies to ice cream, bar b que to noodles, you can always find something you might like. My son always has a great time running around the open air market and most of the time there is a corn hole game set up on the lawn which he loves. The only drawback in my opinion is the fact that it is right on a busy main street downtown and parking is a hassle. But, there are pay and park lots around. With that said I recommend visiting the market at least once. For a more frequent play situation the waterfront park up the street is a great alternative!

After leaving the Little Italy Mercado, we stumbled upon this market. It's not really a farmer's market, but did have a great variety of prepared food, seating, live music, and craft vendors. It was a great way to decompress after the hectic vibes at the Little Italy Market.

We're fans of local street food market vendors because many of the vendors have specialties in food you can't get anywhere else in the city. Street Food Market is located on Lane Field Park across from Broadway Pier on Harbor Dr. The food vendors are there on Saturday's and Sunday's from 10 a.m. to 5p.m., with live music. We had the most delicious Texas style BBQ from Oak and Anchor BBQ. The owner is from Texas and said he learned to smoke brisket at the age of 8. His BBQ was outstanding!! We had BBQ ribs and brisket. The meat was perfectly smoked, seasoned well, and very tender. His homemade BBQ sauce was sweet and spicy the way I like it. I give it a 5/5 For drinks, we tried a freshly squeezed lemonade from Happicanes. The drink was refreshing with freshly squeezed sugar cane a must try so good! See my video. I give it 5/5 We also tried Island Mike's Poke with spicy tuna. I thought the flavors were very good. I give it a 4/5 The food and drinks did not disappoint! I like coming here for the farmers market every couple of months. I park a little ways down the street for 60 minutes and I end up walking a block or two down with my dog to stop and see what cool stuff they might have fun us. It's not a big market. No more than 10 vendors that sells non food items and no more than 15 food vendors. But on a sunny Saturday morning, with a nice breeze, and the sun shining, it's always a good way to kill a hour and enjoy life. Last time I came here in April 2024, I ended up finding some Moroccan oil that I dab on my skin as a perfume. There was an array of different smells and I smelled them all and ended up buying two of them! The time I came here before that, there was a vendor selling bandanna for dogs. I got my dog one. It says "I heart French Fries." So the vendors change each time and there's always one vendor that I end up spending time and eventually money at. Foodwise, I feel like it's mostly the same i.e lemonade and coffee stands, doughnuts, bacon wrapped hot dogs etc. I typically get a coffee if that or something I can share to hold me over. The prices for the food trucks aren't cheap. The value in it is okay.

With the mini food fares there are those are the bigger ones with the eateries and the ones with the many organic and the homemade food where you7 can find some of the best deserts and those that have the best flavors and some that came from the many different areas of San Diego. Food markets are some of the greatest places you can find the home-made products and those products which are from some of the greatest desert's places and the Lane Field Food Market you get to see the many vendors that are there. With the many vendors they have at the Lane Park the food market you can find many of the deserts and the many dishes that are from other countries with dishes they are pretty good food, and the flavors are closely related to American dishes some that you may think that is too soupy or too greasy it has some of the best flavors. When I had the first empanada, I thought it was a baked pot pie and the flavor of the crust it was the best and the dipping sauce was the best combo together. There were dishes the favorite cold soft serve pineapple dole one of the best frozen desserts and with the best tacos you could find a good bite with the beef it was the greatest taste of the many I have had there were many that were deep fried and to overly crunchy. The many oriental places they had there it was some of the greatest choices with the many flavors with the use of pork and the stuffed steamed buns with the many of the best ingredients. The Lane Field Park market you could find so many things and with the best people to help many of the cooks were that created many of the best dishes with the beast prices some were a little high with the great service that I saw from the many vendors and the cooks had a great welcome to the many that had visited the event. With the many couples and the families were having the best of times with the music that was there to add some great music and to keep the day flowing and the vendors were having the best times with meeting so many people. Lane Field is one of the best places to have an event like this it has a way of attracting many of the visitors that were coming from the cruise ship and the many that were going on the ferry to Coronado. To see the many people that were there and the reactions from the many vendors and ones that had food from Hawaii to introduce such an event like this it was one of the best events. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer from the many food fairs and the county fairs and the large events that you may have gone to the San Diego Fair many of the foods were those of the fried foods and to find natural foods freshly made that was found at Lane Field Food Market. Some of the greatest flavors and the ones that had surprised so many for the many that have never tasted different food and tastes from other countries. This is one Food Market that I will be coming back to have more of the many great dishes.

I always look forward to coming to this market place on the weekends anytime we're in San Diego. There are a ton of different food options, available, for meals and desserts. They also have local artist and vendors who make bags, robes, hats, jewelry, etc. The vibe is super chill, and everyone seems like they're here to just enjoy the sunshine, it's proximity to the water, and just hang out. I'm personally very committed to the bao buns from House of Bao and the dole whip. My kids love the shave ice from the Filipino truck (Lola's). Other faves have been the empanadas and the tacos.

It was fun to find a new location for food trucks and arts and crafts vendors. (It's not a farmers market, however). I enjoyed my time there on a sunny day.

I chose to spend my 4th of July here and stuck around the area to catch the fireworks. There is a wide variety of food and craft vendors, that there is something for everyone. It can very crowded and you will have to carve out space to find somewhere to enjoy your food.

I love visiting this market on Sunday. The location is great because there's so much to do all around. Most of the vendors are quite consistent every Sunday with a few different ones every once in a while. Before Covid-19, the market was bustling every Sunday from 10 am till 2:30 pm, but now the market is down to about half of the available vendors. However, still there are some very good food vendors and artisan to choose from. I can't wait for this pandemic to be over, so this market not only fills up with vendors again, but receives the crowds it deserves. It's definitely a great place to find some great eats.

Love the markets! Today took the trolly to Santa Fe Depot and had the best BBQ pork fries from Thai Burger Company. Tons of vendors back from Covid. Dole Whip, Soul Food, Donuts, Coffee and more. Normally there is music and love the umbrella with various seating such as blankets, chairs and stools.

First time here enjoying the atmosphere and food. Had no clue music, vendors, and food were set up every weekend. I ended up getting a Gyro with fries from New York Gyros. Very tasty and a much bigger portion than I expected. No and his mother were very nice and welcoming. Then I tried beef and chicken baos from The House of Bao which were also very good. Overall, good music and atmosphere at Lane Field Park Market. Will definitely return to sometime to soak up the sun again.

Brought my parents and our doggie for the Sunday market. Parked for free at Waterfront park (2 hour parking is not enforced on Sundays, but meters are, so be careful!) and walked the 4 blocks over to the market. The market is on a cute little patch of grass across the street from the harbor. There are 10+ food trucks with a nice variety. My sister and I are vegetarians, she got a stuffed hash brown which looked really good, I think there was one with bacon that she subbed in spinach and mushrooms. I got avocado toast with an egg (and coconut bacon - which I didn't love, they were basically just super salty). We then got a second round of food of Dole Whip and Ice cream pops (very decadent). There's 5-6 shops of clothes and crystals and jewelry as well. And then there was a live DJ playing music (and taking requests) and had a violinist with him to play along to some of the songs. There's a few table and chairs, but you can also bring your own blanket or chairs if you plan on hanging out for a while. And there is also a public restroom close by.

Great variety of food vendors, live music and seating with a nice view of San Diego harbor. They are open every Sunday and it has been our go to Sunday hang out spot for my family since we discovered this new little gem. If you have kids, it's a great spot for them. There is plenty of space for them to run around and they even have a bigger sized connect four, jenga and cornhole boards. Definitely recommend checking this spot out if you are looking for a place to hang out, get good food and enjoy the beauty that San Diego has to offer.

I came across this place while I was on vacation.There was so much food to choose from, and drinks ! There was also a lot of room on the lawn to relax, or even play some games which I enjoyed myself . There were so many good options for food. This one place caught my eye though. It was called Feraco's. I love me some Italian food ! I was surprised to see that it was actually Italian desserts. They had cannolis there . CANNOLIS! Hello!? Am I in San Diego, or Italy? Let me tell you. These cannolis hit.the.spot ! I was so surprised how good they were. The two employees that were helping me decide what topping I wanted ( I wanted them all) were so nice and helpful . I would definitely go to this market again just to have one of those cannolis!
