"Nestled on the edge of Loch Eport overlooking Ben Eaval, this former shooting lodge is the ideal retreat for anyone traveling in the Uists. Here, guests can choose between five cozy rooms in the original lodge or six hillside suites that highlight the stunning lake views. Set a half mile off the main highway, Langass Lodge also offers access to a wide range of outdoor recreation, from salmon fishing and deer stalking to cycling trips and surfing lessons. When hunger strikes, guests can head to the on-site restaurant, where chef Mike MacDonald uses local ingredients to craft modern Scottish cuisine, or the more-casual conservatory, which serves bar food like haggis croquettes and lamb curry. (Note: The hotel is open seasonally from April through October.)"

We went here for my birthday brunch. Oysters, langoustines, the best hollandaise sauce on eggs royale, a great range of cocktails, gins, a cracking full Scottish breakfast all in beautiful surroundings. Lovely staff too. Highly recommend.

We came as a group of 6 to celebrate mine and my partners engagement, the staff were excellent, they really made our night better, nothing was too much trouble, Finn & the other lady’s name I cannot remember but she’s from Kent and lives in Uist with her dad, they are an absolute credit to your business! Also Piotr who got us drinks at the end of the meal was friendly and professional The food was faultless, every course delicious, can’t wait to return

First of all, we really enjoyed our stay at Langrass Lodge. The staff were great, and we were really well looked after. The breakfast was great, and the room overall was OK, if a little too hot.|But…….|There are issues. The hotel needs some tlc. For the price you pay you should be getting top quality. Chips in the paint work, toilet flushes that don’t quite work, window blinds broken|Then there’s the breakfast and check out times. 07:30 to 08:50 for breakfast, and a check out time of 10:00?? All too tight for my liking.

Had 2 nights here in the ground floor room with garden access. Beautiful presentation. Great staff - everyone was so friendly and welcoming.|First night restaurant dining - superb. Second night bar dining - superb. Met lovely folk here. Also saw a stag very close on Cliff walk and obviously saw a bear in the woods .

A very pleasant one-night stay here recently with a lovely dinner too. Our previous hotel further south had been a bit of a letdown so it was nice to come here with a great welcome and some top food. We went for a short walk from here and there are some fantastic views. Breakfast was very good too.

I came to the island for a 2 night stay here.|As previously stated by someone else, the roadway up to the lodge was in real need of repair, take it VERY slow to allow pot hole dodging.|The hotel/ lodge itself was very nice, room in a dark wood which i imagine is in keeping with the original lodge, bar area and bar restaurant section was very nice as well.|I ate both nights and thoroughly enjoyed both meals, absolutely no complaints.|The bar, waiting staff were very friendly/ chatty.|I travelled alone with my dog, accepting that in almost all hotels there is a supplement along with the fact he does not get in the main restaurant. When I came down in the morning for breakfast, I was told it is in the restaurant but dogs aren't allowed. I asked can I not sit in the bar or bar restaurant where he is allowed and usually accepted elsewhere, to be told sorry no. So Bed and Breakfast without the breakfast.|For my first time on Uist, I then found there were limited places to try and get breakfast of which most opened at 10am. Yes the website says that dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant where breakfast is served, but I was surprised at the absolute lack of attempt to accommodate.|All in all a good stay overshadowed by a hangry first morning, which would put me off returning.

Beautiful location and service. Amazing fresh food presented well. We had the special of the day - Cod risotto which was lovely. The seafood platter for a starter was delicious as well.

A lucky find! Stopped for a coffee and stayed for lunch. Staff so friendly, welcoming and helpful- directed us to the stone circle just past the hotel and then served a delicious lunch. I had the Waldorf Salad, my partner had the couscous and feta salad. Both were great- fresh, abundant, tasty and just what we needed. Ate looking out over the beautiful garden and loch. Was perfect!
