"Nestled on the edge of Loch Eport overlooking Ben Eaval, this former shooting lodge is the ideal retreat for anyone traveling in the Uists. Here, guests can choose between five cozy rooms in the original lodge or six hillside suites that highlight the stunning lake views. Set a half mile off the main highway, Langass Lodge also offers access to a wide range of outdoor recreation, from salmon fishing and deer stalking to cycling trips and surfing lessons. When hunger strikes, guests can head to the on-site restaurant, where chef Mike MacDonald uses local ingredients to craft modern Scottish cuisine, or the more-casual conservatory, which serves bar food like haggis croquettes and lamb curry. (Note: The hotel is open seasonally from April through October.)"
First of all, we really enjoyed our stay at Langrass Lodge. The staff were great, and we were really well looked after. The breakfast was great, and the room overall was OK, if a little too hot.|But…….|There are issues. The hotel needs some tlc. For the price you pay you should be getting top quality. Chips in the paint work, toilet flushes that don’t quite work, window blinds broken|Then there’s the breakfast and check out times. 07:30 to 08:50 for breakfast, and a check out time of 10:00?? All too tight for my liking.

Beautiful location and service. Amazing fresh food presented well. We had the special of the day - Cod risotto which was lovely. The seafood platter for a starter was delicious as well.

Had 2 nights here in the ground floor room with garden access. Beautiful presentation. Great staff - everyone was so friendly and welcoming.|First night restaurant dining - superb. Second night bar dining - superb. Met lovely folk here. Also saw a stag very close on Cliff walk and obviously saw a bear in the woods .

A very pleasant one-night stay here recently with a lovely dinner too. Our previous hotel further south had been a bit of a letdown so it was nice to come here with a great welcome and some top food. We went for a short walk from here and there are some fantastic views. Breakfast was very good too.

A lucky find! Stopped for a coffee and stayed for lunch. Staff so friendly, welcoming and helpful- directed us to the stone circle just past the hotel and then served a delicious lunch. I had the Waldorf Salad, my partner had the couscous and feta salad. Both were great- fresh, abundant, tasty and just what we needed. Ate looking out over the beautiful garden and loch. Was perfect!

My family and I had the most wonderful dinner here last week. We are not always easy to cater for as some only eat fish, other vegetarians and also a gluten free vegetarian
Food was exquisite, service and staff amazing. Would highly recommended to anyone

Never miss dining here when in the Outer Isles - it’s just such a lovely conservatory with beautiful views.Food is always really great quality and that proved to be the case again this visit.I went for the Langoustines with Garlic Butter as a starter - amazed at the portion of 5 huge langoustines; great value. My husband chose the Baked Oysters which were top notch.Uist Scallops and Venison Loin for us both, gorgeous.|Good white wine on offer too, often places do good food but poor wine but this was excellent (cant recall what it was, Sauvignon I think.)|Always an excellent menu with great choices.|Two requests - please go back to more standard 70s/80s music or Scottish stuff; a lot of modern stuff being played which was just irritating as it’s so poor.|The access road really does need upgraded as it’s got so many potholes and has been like that for years!

Had three lovely meals here. Food fabulous, service fabulous. Lovely vibes. The lady that works there (didn't catch her name) made an excellent rum coffee!! Best I've ever had 😊
