Outside Lands 2022: Here’s the Lineup of Restaurants and Bars | Eater SF

"The wine area returns with an impressive lineup — Post Malone is even bringing his Maison No. 9 rosé — alongside producers like Charles Krug, Brick & Mortar, Field Recordings, and Scribe, and an aperitif moment from Mommenpop." - Dianne de Guzman

Stop by on October 2, 2025 to check out the wine tasting but saw a sign that said it was temporarily closed. But didn't say for how long. Just for the week? Or for the winter months? Or until they make some more wine? It didn't say. You're guess is as good as mine.

Google
Fantastic tasting experience. Really liked that I could "pick my own adventure" by choosing my own 5. Understood and appreciated the reason for reservations only, as I did feel it gave a better experience. Wife could get her 5, I could get my 5, we could share a bit and compare. Loved that. Beautiful tasting area. On a tour of Lodi, this was probably the most in-depth wine tasting knowledge conversations that we had, and both hosts showcased that. I appreciate that knowledge and knowledge transfer, thanks! Plenty of time for our tasting reservation, not rushed in the slightest. Was able to revisit anything we liked. Overall, great wine and a great experience. I'd come back.

Google
So my uncle brought the LangeTwins Rosé to a family feed and it was so remarkably good (even for this 99% only red wine drinker) that I knew I had to visit. Came in 30 minutes till closing on a random weekday but I still got great service and was welcomed warmly and didn't feel rushed at all. This tasting room is housed in a somewhat industrial facility (i.e. it is not out in the middle of a field of vines, but rather next to the bottling plant) but has tons of parking and a Tesla charger. The walkway is lined with seating areas and water fountains leading towards the main tasting room. In the tasting room, you can choose a few wines (was it 5?) off of their menu for the tasting. When I went, they were serving an equal number of whites and reds, so any palate should have options. Their tasting menu also has suggested cheese pairings and guests can buy charcuterie straight from the tasting room to accompany their wines out in the seating area. As per the wines, my personal favorite was the rosé, which was even better than I remembered. It's tied for the best rosé I've ever had with a bottle out of Napa that goes for 3x the price. With club discount, this one goes for only $13 (😱), which is a level of quality for price point I don't think you'll be able to find anywhere else. I was also quite pleased with the lineup of reds I tasted and walked out with several, again at excellent prices. One last anecdote: At the end of my tasting I decided to sign up for the wine club, and by the time I got home to SF, I had a handwritten letter from Katie, the person who handled my tasting, recapping our conversation and welcoming me to membership. That should tell you just about all you need to know about this winery and the type of people who run it. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Google
My review is based off my experience with one of their field workers/drivers who drives past my house honking and threatening me. A call was generated at first because I called to complain about their driver driving really fast in our neighborhood. The staff has told me they would talk to this individual but nothing has gotten better only worse. He did not like the call I made and made a point to stop at my house. See attached photo. The person stopped in front of my house this morning about 545-600am, nearest my children's window and honked as loud and annoying as possible. Everyone on the phone in their office sounds nice and has great customer service skills. Just wish everyone who worked for them was the same.

Google
Love the wine here! The atmosphere is industrial, but if you can overlook that, you are in for some good wine.

Google
Impressive family business pioneering sustainable wine production.

Google
Very good wine. Great Venue and they love bicyclist.

Russell G.

Google
The winery is a massive facility, compared to the other Lodi wineries. The tasting room is gorgeously made with two bars and a section for tables. The wines are mainly Italian varietals and they are well made. The staff was friendly and willing to explain their wines to my daughter's friends. We bought a couple of bottles and I'm already planning on going back to try the red they are releasing in May.

Yelp
This was my first place I ever went winetasting at, and I absolutely loved it and of course, it is always going to be one of my favorites! I love how beautiful and intimate their estate is, and how beautiful the interior of the wine tasting area is. The staff, of course, was super friendly and very eager to teach about wine and what to pair it with which was nice. During the week it can be a lot more intimate and quiet so if you like that, go during the week; during the weekend, however, is very busy and packed so book or call ahead. My favorite wine from here is the midnight dessert it is very nice and sweet just how I like it but they have many other options as well so check them out! If you're lucky you'll get to tour the back area while you have your drinks.

Yelp
Great place and wine. tested 4 white and 1 rose all good Friendly staff. Will come back again in future - Could story about how business started and twins brother

Yelp
Excellent wine and friendly staff. We're here for a member barrel tasting with appetizers. What an awesome experience. Highly recommended to wine lovers.

Janet V.

Yelp
It's beautiful and modern to the extreme. Those young men went out of there way on water conservation. I love the Rose wine and the others are great too. Other wineries could take lessons from these two.

Zach N.

Yelp
Great place for wine tasting in Lodi. I tasted through the reds and was pleasantly surprised by the complex flavors. Lange Twins is a large property with a very friendly staff--much more accessible than pretentious wineries in Napa.
google avatar

Yelp
Been here twice and I just love it here. Definitely different vibe than the other wineries in the area. It's a very nice place. Love how they had their wine barrel area open during the Wine and Chocolate event. Kinda had that big city vibe. The outdoor area is very relaxing where you and a few of your friends can enjoy their nice wines while sitting at one of their tables. They have a nice Langetwins waterfall as you walk down their entry walkway. Their wines are superb. Hubby is not really a Moscato kinda guy but he actually liked their 2017 Estate Grown Moscato. We will most likely become wine club members

Yelp
Coming from the Oregon Pinot region, I was blown away by their wines! I sincerely loved my experience and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
We stopped by this winery during the Wine & Chocolate Event, Feb. 13 & 14, 2016. Pulling up to the winery, my first impression was that it reminded me of a college campus! It was so big and it had big tanks that reminded me more of a corporate business as opposed to a warm & friendly winery. The tasting room was huge and able to accommodate a lot of people. It was clean and pretty. The wines we tasted were good, but nothing out of this world. The service was friendly. Compared to other wineries in the area, this winery was just average in my opinion.

Yelp
I was very satisfied leaving here - and was the one winery I joined on our visit to Lodi. Super excited to now be a member. The facility is modern, sleek, and luxurious. And loved how friendly everyone was there, and seemed to be family operated. Each pour was incredible, and we left with: Nero d'avolo, Moscato, Midnight Reserve. Can't wait to be back!

Yelp
We went here as the last stop on our wine tour of the area. We enjoyed this small tasting room though it was the end of the day and we were pretty tired. The person at the tasting bar was super generous with us and attended to each of us quite quickly. The wine was pretty good, and we enjoyed this very relaxed tasting experience. We also really like the outdoor seating area. It seemed like they could accommodate a great deal of people. This wasn't my favorite spot, as it seemed like some of the bottles had maybe been open a while. We noticed a considerable difference when a new bottle was opened for some of our group and some of us got the rest of an old bottle.

Rita S.

Yelp
We had a reservation for tasting for 10, we went in and we were seated and the gentleman that seated us was very nice and welcoming. A lady named Vanessa appeared and she was next to my cousin and said I am terminating/ending this tasting right here - we hadn't been through the 1st tasting, Before being asked to leave. I asked for explanation as to what just inspired and I was not given a reason. This was our 2nd time there. Our 1st experience a few years ago wasn't great either, we had a reservation and when we arrived, we were told, they were too busy and we were told we can sit outdoors in the scorching heat until they have seating available for us inside. We will never be back at this place and urge you all to avoid the terrible experience. Vanessa and one of the owners appeared to be racist as well. We are indian. We had a great experience at D'art and Bokicsh wineries.

Brooke W.

Yelp
Reservation only as the tasting room is SMALL. If you are late or interested in an open tasting without reservation: then just don't!
google avatar

Mary A.

Yelp
This was such a pleasant experience from the moment I called to make reservations right through buying wine. We would have stayed longer and bought more but we were on bicycles! The tasting room is gorgeous. There are quite a few wines to choose from which was a pleasant surprise. Adam and Michelle were very upbeat, charming and knowledgeable without being overwhelming. We can't wait to go back and spend more time there. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Yelp
Love love love! We joined the wine club a couple years ago because everything we tasted was unique and delicious! The wines are also less expensive than most other boutique wineries. It doesn't look like a boutique winery - they produce for several labels and possibly do part of the process for other wineries - but the single varietal and estate wines available only at the winery are really great! The tasting room and outside table area is very modern, yet relaxing. We are club members at 6 wineries and LangeTwins has done the best by far at keeping in contact with club members and providing added benefit during the COVID pandemic.

Yelp
Wow! What an amazing winery! So beautiful and such friendly people! I made an appointment in advance for a tour, told them I was a wine club member coming from Seattle to visit for the first time. Jillian definitely went above and beyond to book a private tour with one of the twins, and made my experience extra special. I know they were busy with wine making and especially since I came during the Lodi Sip and Savor event this weekend. Randy still found time to take us on a great tour and filled us with lots of great information on the wine making process. You could definitely see the passion and love that goes into the wines of this family owned winery. It's no wonder I love their wines so much! Everyone was incredibly sweet and helpful. We ended our tour with a lovely and generous tasting. Be sure to try both Lange twins wines as well as their caricature wines. They are so different, yet both so delicious. The caricature wines have more residual sugar, and are made by two different wine makers. Both wine makers hail from the prestigious Robert Mondavi. We enjoyed a glass outside in their patio area before leaving. What a perfect way to enjoy our Sunday afternoon! Thank you Lange Twins!

Yelp
As you approach Lange Twins winery, you'll be amazed at the size of their operations. It's one of the largest facilities I've seen in the area. Once we made our way to the tasting room, it was very welcoming and modern. Their wines are reasonably priced, the highest being a reserve at $60, but most are under $30. The hubby and I usually enjoy syrahs, cabs and zins, so we were both shocked to really like their Merlot! Also picked up a delicious moscato for a friend. A definite place to visit when you're in Lodi.

Judy D.

Yelp
Great wines, reasonable pricing and with a fantastic membership club with lots of benefits. Each quarter a fun membership party is held typically with music or a wine related activity, food and tasting. Friendly and helpful staff.
google avatar

Maria L.

Yelp
LangeTwins winery was such a amazing experience, I'm glad Adam was able to squeeze us in for a tasting! Adam was so knowledgeable and provided amazing recommendations. The girls and I would definitely go back, and enjoy a glass of wine. The location was very modern and chill. 5 stars to Adam you guys should go check them out!
google avatar

Virginia M.

Yelp
For a huge winery, the service seems intimate and welcoming. Due to Covid things are on hold, but appreciate their wine club efforts and curbside pickup. A Lodi must.
google avatar

Suzanne W.

Yelp
We were in the area tasting macchia wines and wanted to try something else. We stopped at LangeTwins because I had one of their wines in a wines of California class. The tasting room, newly opened to the public, is beautiful. The entrance has lots of metal, running water accented with river rocks. The wines were yummy and reasonably priced. Jillian poured for us. She was as lovely as the wines. We were happy that we chose LangeTwins to visit today.
google avatar

Kristian D.

Yelp
I usually make it a point to stop at LangeTwins Winery on my Lodi excursions. The family has been making wine for other labels for years, but they finally decided to burst on the scene recently with their own label and a fantastic tasting room. This may be the most impressive tasting room in Lodi with lots of fountains and a split log tasting bar overlooking the wine barrels quietly aging the next great vintage. Staff are excellent, providing a perfect level of knowledge and service while pouring their wares. Their wine is on the drier side of a typical Lodi wine, but I always recommend trying them out. The reserve tasting is a better option since you can add a few of their standard options if desired. The winery is somewhat out of the way requiring a detour from most of the other places in Lodi. Do not be deterred by the massive industrial façade. Drive around back and look for the beautiful entrance and prepare yourself for a great time!
google avatar

Valerie M.

Yelp
Popped by here on our way out of Lodi. Nice huge winery with some ok wines. We didn't stay long, we paid for tasting, tasted and then went on our way. Nothing too memorable here for us.
google avatar

A. C.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds, low key tasting room ($10 waived with purchase), and very tasty wine. Specifically there for the zin. Friendly staff and plenty of parking. Highly recommended!

Amy T.

Yelp
Top notch service and wine! This was a last minute, unexpected visit, and it turned out to be the highlight of our first trip to Lodi wine country! Vanessa was above and beyond! We will be back for sure!
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
Whether it is walking into their intimate tasting room or sitting back at home enjoying a bottle from my wine club membership... Lange Twins is, by far, the best winery in Lodi. I have nothing but praise for their red wine selection. They are always well-balanced and masterfully made. While they are not exactly inexpensive compared to most Lodi appelations, they are well worth the additional cost. These wines easily compete and surpass many of the expensive Napa and Sonoma wines. I salivate just thinking about popping the cork on a bottle. Amazing winery with amazing arrives!
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
Located on the outskirts of Lodi. Driving up seeing the shear size of their operation could impress you from the entrance. Tucked in the back corner of this compound is the tasting room. Details used in the tasting room were very clean and rustic. Two large redwood planks made their wine bar so if that's not rustic I don't know what is. As for the wine it was enjoyable. Would have recommend the Midnight Reserve and the Zin. It's a must see! Make sure you taste with Tony. Great personality and knew a lot about the company and their wines
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
We wanted to visit the home of our two favorite winemakers, Karen Birmingham and David Akiyoshi. Our first impression wasn't too great because the place looks very industrial as you're driving up. Things got a lot better from there. We sampled a number of reds and liked them all. The bartender was friendly and taught us a few things too. Touring a storage area with many stacked oak barrels was a nice bonus. Enjoyed it!
google avatar

Coleman B.

Yelp
The wine is excellent, but the tasting policy is really unreasonable. My wife and I had one tasting each, bought 3 bottles of wine, and were still charged for a $10 tasting. We had a group of 4 people in our party and the place had one other group at the time, so not busy at all. $10 for tasting 5 wines is already a little crazy but not waving these fees for each bottle bought is ridiculous - there's too many good wineries in the area to support this kind of business (which is NOT typical in the area).

Katy B.

Yelp
Joined the club about 3 months ago. Every time we have been in the ladies are so fun and nice. They make you feel like you've known them for years. Cute patio too! Love the wine. My favorite sauvignon blanc of all! So glad we joined!
google avatar

Richard L.

Yelp
As we wine trekked the day, LangeTwins was our last stop. We rated this winery the best compared to the others wineries we visited that day. The wine selection is fantastic - we particularly enjoyed the Macotera and the Midnight Reserve. And to add, their wines are classified Lodi Rules - certified sustainable. Vanessa was a pleasure to chat with; very knowledgeable and we will take her up someday for a personal facility tour. The tasting room has a beautiful quaint look; the bar extends basically 360 around - the feeling like we can order hard alcohol as well, lol. The only neutral thought we had was that it felt like an industrial complex on the outside unlike most other wineries that have the vineyard ambience feel - but it can be overlooked once inside!
google avatar

Gayle T.

Yelp
I love the industrial feel of this place. Very friendly wait staff and good wines. Kind of has a "Speakeasy" atmosphere when going into the walled cask area. The reason I rated a 4 star as opposed to a 5 was lack of seating and ambient lighting not efficient. Their wines are worthy of a 5 star rating. Don't pass this place up, you won't be disappointed!

Bali D.

Yelp
Horrible service, rude. Idk why people are saying good things about this winery, I don't see anything good. I think people standards went so low that they accept any shitty service.
google avatar

Russell G.

Yelp

The wines are mainly Italian varietals and they are well made. The staff was friendly and willing to explain their wines to my daughter's friends. We bought a couple of bottles and I'm already planning on going back to try the red they are releasing in May. Maybe take advantage of that outside seating area

Steve T.

Yelp
Among the best wine in Lodi, awesome staff, tasting room as well. If you know what good wine is, ignore the crappy reviews, Lange Twins wine is quite good
google avatar

Tiana D.

Yelp
I would leave zero stars if possible. I have worked in the service industry for 16 years now, and that includes tasting rooms... I have NEVER received such horrible, unwelcoming service in all that time. In my attempts to give my sister a fun wine tasting afternoon for her bachelorette festivities, our first stop was Michael David (where they actually ANSWER their phones and return phone calls!) where had an superb experience. While we were there, my sister said she had never been to Lange Twins and wanted to head there next. I called and left a message that we were a group on the way, and although yes we were a group of 8, that only 5 of us would be tasting. No call back. Upon arriving, we were RUDELY greeted outside by the tasting room host (brunette short haired lady) and she berated our friend about not smoking when she merely had a vape pen in her hand. Cool, we got it lady. Upon coming inside, she then proceeded to berate our limo driver about not having a reservation even though only 5 of us were tasting... and, there were only 4 people in the tasting room! WHO DOES THAT?! Are you not trying to sell us wine? We uncomfortably proceeded with our tasting and paid ($10 a tasting for 5 wines when you have $20 purchase points?!) Seriously Lange Twins, get your noses out of the air when I can buy your wine, but will never do now, at Savemart and Costco minus the RUDE SUB-PAR service. And your fermenting wine tanks smell like VOMIT and you expect us to sit outside on the patio to enjoy the ambiance? Bass ackwards you guys. And, you're worried about people smoking? Get your priorities straight.
google avatar

Kris I.

Yelp
Great modern set up. They have a nice outdoor seating area or an inside tasting room. Definitely very friendly staff and good wine. We were lucky enough to be there when the winemaker was telling everyone about the history of the winery. The bar top is a must see! We enjoy our wines a tad on the sweeter side, we enjoyed their moscato and purchased a bottle for $15.00 (very reasonable!). Tasting fee was $10.00.
google avatar

Gary M.

Yelp
The tasting room is nestled inside a huge industrial facility. LangeTwins definitely puts out volume. The Tasting room is gorgeous, with a series of water features leading to the door. Once inside to the right of the tasting bar, a huge series of glass plate windows separates the tasting room from a barrel room. The staff are very personable and knowledgeable. The wines were well balanced and affordable. Good place for a fun tasting.
google avatar

Diane L.

Yelp
The wine is very good for the price. Most wines dont have the quality that langetwins provides. My favorite wines are the langetwins old zin, rose, the Gewurtztraminer, the sauvignon blanc ( very light and fragrant), the pinot grigio (very refreshing), and the caricature cabernet sauvignon and red blend.
google avatar

Ana M.

Yelp
This place looks like a huge industrial production facility, but once you get to the tasting room you will be pleased with the intimate room. This is a great winery if you enjoy sweet and/or dry wines. They have something for everyone's pallet. The tastings are cheap and the wines are definitely affordable. Give this place a try!
google avatar

Britney D.

Yelp
We came here for my bachelorette party on a friday afternoon when the place was on the calmer and slower side. The lady running the counter, with short black hair, was extremely rude to my family who spent a lot of money to take me to this establishment. We came in as a group of 7 and only 5 of us were tasting. The lady made a point to make us and our limo driver feel badly that we did not make a reservation. However, we called many times to try to make one and nobody ever answered the phone. I know its polite to make sure you have a reservation and i respect that but the tasting room had 4 people in it and i didnt see how it was necessary to treat customers with disrepect for not being able to get through to the reservation department. The lady running the counter was extremely unprofessional and lost our business as none of us wanted to buy any bottles from her. Also the wine was not impressive at all it tasted like sulfer with notes of vinegar. Maybe Langetwins employees should take notes from Michael David and other surrounding wineries who treated us amazingly during what was supposed to be a special day for me. I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone who comes to Lodi to visit me. Cheers!

Greg T.

Yelp
Super nice people, cool tasting room, value priced wine, plus they sponsor bike racing!
google avatar

Alisha A.

Yelp
Friendly staff, great wine, beautiful modern tasting room with a great indoor and outdoor area. Wine cellar area that you can rent out for parties. Not at all crowded and great prices. One of Lodi's hidden gems.

Irwin T.

Yelp
We met joe, the owner, at an event in Montreal, and he convinced us to come to Lodi on our next California trip. Wow, am I happy we did. This winery is the largest winery we visited in Lodi, but it seemed like the smallest and quaintest winery as well. They are so warm and hospitable. We were treated to a private tour by Amanda, who took 90 minutes out of her busy day just to show us everything they do. It was the most impressive tour I've ever been shown. Aside from the service and great hospitality, every wine we tried was delicious. If we were allowed, we'd bring a dozen cases back to canada. But luckily they just secured a deal so we'll be able to get some of their wines in Quebec. Thanks again for showing us such a fun time, and you guys really deserve great things and lots of success.
google avatar

Alicia T.

Yelp
The winery is very large and well decorated even though it seemed deserted until you go around the corner, park, then walk a ways to the entrance of the winery. The staff is very friendly and attentive. However, the wine is weak in flavor even though the reds are full in color. We paid for our tasting and left. Couldn't find a bottle of wine to buy to replace the tasting fee. Not a fan.
google avatar

Mary W.

Yelp
The tasting room is fun, especially on a day like today with music, games, decorations and artisan pizza (we had pear, pecan and gorgonzola pizza)! As others have mentioned, the drive up to the venue is industrial and not too well marked. I enjoyed the wines that I tasted; I would have liked more whites to choose from though. I'd definitely go again for another special event.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
I've been to LangeTwins twice and have thoroughly enjoyed my visits. The wines are spectacular and affordable. The tasting room and the drive to it are modern and a little different than many other wineries in the Lodi area, but it's a good thing. I look forward to many more visits in the future. Also their collection of wine country gifts is fun too ... including a wine bottle shaped umbrella.
google avatar

Patrick J.

Yelp
Beautiful place. Pulled in a bit before 5 pm. They told us they, and the other wineries, stop serving at 4:45. That, of course, is not true. Would have understood if they had just said that they had already packed up for the evening. They didn't need to make up this silly stuff.
google avatar

Michele J.

Yelp
This building is gorgeous!!!! The mash-up of concrete, wood and composites is so expertly done, and mimics the traditional meets modern take on wine!! Exquisite reserve wines meet deliciously sweet yet light Moscato and Ports!! It's a weird place to get too, sets you a little bit back with the walk from the parking to the tasting room, but very worth it!!
google avatar

Sarah E.

Yelp
yummy, Yummy, YUMMY! Came here planning on just tasting and ended up coming home with a beautiful bottle of Malbec, NOT my normal first choice in wine but I just had to have it! Prices are reasonable and their wines are really great! Staff was friendly and I look forward to coming back soon
