Langshott Manor - part of The Alexander Hotel Collection

Great experience at this hotel. Stayed here for the first time for an overnight stay. Check in was fine, and we got showed personally to our room which was a garden suite. The room and features were explained and it was a good start. We didn't eat in the restaurant which was a two AA rosette but had food from the bar. The food was very good along with the drinks all priced at an average price for a hotel. The room was well equipped with bathrobes and the usual tea, coffee and biscuits. Large bed very comfortable which ensured a great night's sleep. The staff were very helpful and made an extra effort to be friendly and helpful. Overall a nice experience and I would certainly consider going again. The hotel is near Gatwick airport but there wasn't really an aircraft noise that we noticed.

We booked the Gallery room upstairs for a private Christmas Day lunch for family. There were 16 guests and we were looked after brilliantly. ||The room and table were decorated for Christmas and looked wonderful.||We were greeted with a glass of champagne and canapés downstairs in the bar which was a relaxing way to start our afternoon. |We then moved to The Gallery upstairs for dining. ||We had pre-ordered our meals and the food arrived on time, hot and well cooked and enjoyed by us all. We had prearranged wine and beer and non-alcoholic drinks and everything went to plan. ||A speaker and screen were provided for family photos and music, as we’d requested. ||There was a small sofa and seating area where we could relax too. We never felt rushed and everything went very smoothly. ||Dan the manager and Natalia spent a few weeks before the event checking we had everything we needed, the seating plan was correct and all dietary requirements were clear. ||We had a great Christmas day and we would definitely recommend The Gallery for anyone looking for a private get together with a group of friends.||Highly recommended. ||Thanks again to Dan and the Team.

A wonderful experience in every way! The staff were incredible - Emma, Ellie, Dan, Anouk - it felt like a 6-star stay. The building is utterly historic, we couldn't believe our eyes as we saw it on arrival, this place is magical. Everything is spotless, the rooms are lovely, luxury bedding, picture windows, high end furnishings, great bathroom. The food was scrumptious - even the fish and chips, the batter was super light. Sandwiches come with a lovely salad. The wine they recommended for dinner was top notch. We utterly loved our stay, and will definitely be returning. It's only 6 train stops to central London! What's not to love?!

Langshott Manor was wonderful. The venue was beautiful and the staff were so accommodating. We celebrated my mothers 90th Birthday. She had an amazing time. The service was spectacular and we definitely would like to thank the staff for their patience, hard work and friendly manor as there were 22 family members having lunch in the private dinning room. |We would definitely recommend the venue as it was both intimate and atmospheric, specially as it was Christmas week

We were fortunate enough to have our Christmas Party at the Hotel. I was organising the event and the Events team made everything easy for me. From start to finish the event was faultless. The food was yummy! The venue was stunning and very festive. The staff were so warm, friendly, accommodating and professional. It was so good all our staff would like to return next year. I really enjoyed my recent stay at Langshott Manor. The staff were really efficient checking me in. They were so genuinely warm and friendly. I had a beautiful room called Anne Boleyn, which has a beautiful view of the moat and will spotlessly clean. ||I opted for afternoon tea, which was all made on site and was delicious. I dined later in the restaurant and the food was superb, the menu was extensive and I thought it was reasonably priced. ||Although the hotel is close to Gatwick airport it is a destination in its own right and I would highly recommend anyone staying there.

We are still talking about our stay! Everything about our visit (there were 16 of us!) was perfect - magical even. The staff were so accommodating, even helping us navigate around one of our party having a severe food allergy. The rooms were stunning, each room so luxurious and special. The food was more than we could have hoped for, but the staff were the real reason we'll plan a return trip. Anup was so attentive and helpful that we wanted for nothing. I can't over-do the praise for this venue: we will talk about this weekend for years to come and recommend it to all!

I was invited by my girlfriends family for the NYE event! It was amazing, staff couldnt have been more helpfull especially Ellie on breakfast and Dan and Amy throughout the night. The food service was so quick throughout each course wich was great and my room was even more splendid i booked a luxury room and the bed was so comfortable! There was also so much space wich was great and we really needed for all my girlfriends things 😂. I will definitely be coming back!

Stayed here our last night in the UK. Close to Gatwick Airport. Langshott is a 16th century manor house turned B and B and restaurant. A very cool place with tons of charm, history, beautiful gardens and great food. If you like historic properties, you will like Langshott. Got there in the late afternoon after visiting Stonehenge. A nice gentleman came out to the car and helped us with our luggage. We booked about a week in advance which was late notice so we didn't have a choice of rooms. We stayed in the Scotney Room which was still very comfortable and had an extra large bath with a clawfoot tub. The room overlooked one of the many gardens. After drinks, we enjoyed a multi-course dinner in the Mulberry Room which was excellent...top notch service and food. We had breakfast there the next morning before heading to the airport. We went continental due to our time constraints but they also offered hot breakfast items as well. Again, great service and a nice selection of breakfast items. We are pretty picky travelers and I must say we really liked this place. It's the perfect place to stay upon arriving at Gatwick or the day before leaving.

I don't know why I've waited a few weeks to review; I guess it's taken some time for me to settle on an impression. Yes, the grounds are absolutely beautiful. For the price, I'd expect a little nicer rooms. We had the Anne Boleyn suite, and at first glance it's gorgeous. Turning on the lamp, we noticed it was filled with spider webs. All of the tchochkes in the room looked cheap, and were pretty beaten up and haggard looking- not quite like heirloom items- just old and busted. I pulled back the drapes to take in the gorgeous view of the moat, and the curtains down below looked as though they had been chewed on for years by the vacuum cleaner. It was impossible to reach room service; luckily the kitchen was right outside our building's door, so I just went down there and ordered for myself. Also, we were only given 3 coffee pods (and I have no idea how old the non-refrigerated milks were sitting out). By the time I figured out how to work the coffee machine, I had gone through all the pods. I just don't think it's worth it for an airport stay. Maybe if you need a pretty backdrop for photos, consider it.

I was looking so forward to visiting this hotel and the descriptions looked awesome! I booked it in April, but the day we were to check in... while we were at the airport, the booking company said that the hotel was not going to honor our booking. I called the hotel and they SAID they never received the booking. I had a confirmation number from them, but they refused to honor it. This ruined the end of a lovely vacation. I don't know what their problem is, but not honoring a reservation and letting people know ON THE DAY we were to arrive is bad business. Things like this do not happen in this day and age. No offer to make up for the mixup.

Went for Sunday lunch with my 95 year old mother-in-law and had a terrific time. The food was very good and beautifully presented and the service just right. I asked for the low level music in the restaurant to be turned down a bit more because of my mother-in-law's hearing aid and they immediately turned it right off which was brilliant. Elizabethan Langshott Manor is near to the m23 so easy to get to, in a beautiful setting Absolutely perfect - I highly recommend.
