Yelp
Quite a good little food truck that serves some fairly good Hawaiian food for the area.
Situated in the Beergarden, this dark turquoise/blueish food truck offers prime Hawaiian plate lunches. From katsu to garlic chicken, they got a bit of everything for this food type. I ordered the garlic fried chicken with mac salad and white rice. After a decent wait, I got a full to-go box filled with some tasty and garlicky smelling stuff. It was good, but I wish it had more sauce. The garlic was there, but it was a bit subtle compared to a variety of other places that crank that bit of flavor all the way up. It needed some more kick in flavor. A second visit would see the chicken katsu come my way and it was some perfectly fried chicken with a lovely and bold sweet sauce on the side. With both came some tasty macaroni salad as well, and usually I'm not a fan.
The ambience of the truck was chill, and that's both its greatest strength and weakness. It took a bit for me to get my order in while standing in the window with an employee right at the window. I wasn't too sure if they were checking another other, but I was starting to get impatient before he finally said he was about to take my order in a second. But, that's my only knick on it. However, given the location, I'm sure the consumption of local brew makes things a bit more relaxed here.
This truck can be proud to know they have food better than a certain Hawaiian fast food chain in Eugene. The food's pretty good.
