Lansdale Farmers' Market - outdoor market

I love this farmers market! It may be smaller but it has everything you want. Local and fresh fruits and veg, fresh bread, desserts to and meats and cheeses. You even got local coffee ready to go from backyard beans. Probably my favorite thing is the middle eastern stall with grilled olives, spice blends, and the best olive oil ever! Great market!

Had a great experience walking around with family at this farmers market. We enjoyed breakfast sandwiches on one of the shaded picnic tables, and listened to the music. Fresh produce, flowers, and baked goods are available...as well as honey, mushrooms, and a variety of other vendors. Definitely will come each Saturday!

I love a clean, nicely organized, happy farmers market and this one is just that. It also has a good variety of covered vendors. it is an all outdoor market. I do have to say that the prices for everything seemed to be high or higher than if I went to a mall or specialty store. Regardless, it is fun to buy outside and from vendors who are actually paying attention to you.

Greatly enjoyed the vendors. Left with lots of good products. I bought some great exotic mushrooms from fungified farms.

Today was my first time there and they have a little bit of everything. The cheese from the goat stand was amazing. The micro greens lady is amazing. The bacon stands phenomenal. brew biscuits were great. My dog loves them. Nauseous by Cheri was great and healthy delight oils. T & B lux love the lotion and sprays

Our favorite farmers market! Love the variety of produce that is offered for sale here. The market is clean, organized and spacious. They have music sometimes too and the vibe is just so good! We always have a good time when we visit the market! Our regular purchases are apples & veggies from Mickley orchards, Habanero peanut butter from Nutty Novelties, goat cheese from Amazing acres is so fresh and delicious, we recently are hooked to this grilled olive pickle from Mediterranean goods and veggies from clean growers are wonderful too…also the marinara sauce from Aunt mamies and honey from awckland sugar shack are some of the items that we are hooked to on a regular basis😀 There’s so much in the market for everyone, it’s a must visit if you’re around!

The farmers market is a great place to help local producers to reach the community better and help local families eat better but the mushroom vender was very rude to the point that now I have to leave a bad review. First off all I ask the gentleman running the stand is if I needed a license to sell mushrooms, not that I wanted to.. so then he turns around and says I don't give information to my competitors, I simply told him again that I wasn't trying to sell mushrooms I just wanted to know if you needed a license to sell them he then gave me very snarky rude come back and asked me if I'm going to buy something so I did and then he became more polite and answered my question but then I noticed that some of the mushrooms were not looking so fresh and I asked where they came from and he became very standoffish and became very rude again I'm not going to go back there again and I suggest other people don't either because most of the mushrooms don't look fresh and who knows where they came from some of the chanterelle look like their European chanterelles, he wouldn't even tell me how to keep my mushrooms that I just bought from him fresh he just kept telling me he doesn't help his competitors that's the only thing he would say to me.. the name of the place was mainly mushrooms.

I just tried to go seeing info that it was open. Despite some vendors being set up and waiting, we were sent away until 10. They said nowhere would it show them open at 9:30. Ridiculous that they didn't want our money.

Why did I not visit sooner? I've seen signs for this market posted in downtown Lansdale but never actually visited the market. Glad I finally stopped. There are several local produce stands...plus options to purchase fresh meat...a few bakery stands (love me some fresh croissants) ....fresh coffee to go with your croissant...homemade crepes if you prefer them to croissants...baby goats were available today for kiddie entertainment...and there was live music playing while you shop. The market is both kid and pet friendly. I made it a point to shop from several vendors so I could try different items and support more than one vendor. I will be eating good this week...and eating healthy too!

I'll be honest I was expecting more:( my friend highly recommended checking it out but I expected it to be bigger than it was, there was literally only two rows of vendors. I went in the middle of the time it was open and already many vendors were out of some things so I would get there earlier than I did. There was an awesome vendor with homemade dog treats called Brewscuits which my dog was happy about! And at least he got to tag along and explore a bit today! Overall though I'm not sure I would drive out to Landsdale to return unless they got more vendors:/

Love this market! It's not as big as some other markets, but there are some great vendors here with plenty of good things to eat! The produce is so good and fresh! You must see my favorite vendors: Humpty's Dumplings, Mickley's Orchards (killer cider!), Green Zameen (great lettuce mix and variety of fresh herbs) and Windy Springs Farm (wonderful produce & beef sticks). There are many other vendors that sell everything from fresh produce, meat, flowers, baked goods, dog biscuits, honey, salmon, cheeses, international fare, cleaning products, plants, and more. There is always musical talent performing while you shop. I've found most of the vendors to be very friendly and helpful. Parking is good. They are open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and dog friendly.

I seek out farmers markets and even plan vacations around them. So I was beyond thrilled when I checked in my hotel on Friday night, only to find that a farmers market would be a couple of blocks away the very next morning! I have to say, this ranks up there with the best (Madison, Charlotte, Burlington). It is of course smaller, but the variety is perfect--and most vendors have samples!!! Besides produce, there were jams, nut butters, cheese, kraut, pickled things, chocolate, a bakery, and more. From a farmers market expert, trust me, this is not to be missed! I hope I can make it back in the spring.

I hate to revisit and downgrade something i love but the truth is the Lansdale Farmers Market has slipped badly in 2017. Forced to move from its previous site due to development it really is at a less useful site. The people there, selling local produce and happy to talk about it are still wonderful. The trick is getting to them and getting out. From its previous location just off Rte. 63 it has moved to the parking lot of a Middle School and here in lies the rub. Not only is it not near anything it is in an area not designed for that Previous spots were either near a main road or in the town itself so you could walk to other spots in Lansdale. This isn't either. The parking lot is too small for the traffic-they had to open a backup lot, and the load leading to it is so small that traffic is often backed up trying to get in or out. It just isn't adequate enough for the load. Also they do not have as many venders. The people there are wonderful but being school property they do not have the local wine merchants like Stone and Key or Cardinal Hollow who were regular features and other venders are noticeably missing. making for a smaller turn out. It is still fun, but it is not as good as it was. one can only hope they will find a better spot for next year.

It's clearly not as big or as great as it was last year, pre Covid. But these are real people/vendors/farmers and they sell good products/produce. Come out and support local businesses. Hopefully next year they'll be bigger and better.

This market is really nice! There are a good amount of vendors without it being too huge. They have a little bit of everything such as a few produce stands, fresh bread and baked goods, kombucha, a nut butter stand, fresh flowers, and homemade soaps/body products. There are some vendors that only come select weeks so check the website. It is very family and dog friendly with drinking bowls for dogs all around. They also usually have some sort of musical entertainment as well. All of the vendors have been kind and helpful in my experience. If you need something to do on a Saturday or are looking for a new farmers market, try this one!

I notice that a lot of the reviews for the Lansdale Farmer's Market are from 2011 and earlier -- I think it's important that people know that Lansdale is a work-in-progress in general, but this farmer's market is well ahead of the curve and leading things in the right direction. I think it's a quintessential representation of what you'd expect at a quality, small town farmer's market. I found the variety of produce, plants, baked goods, and other edible and non-edible items to be awesome. They have a lot of booths and most seem to be local farmers/business owners. There isn't a lot of filler -- just consistent booth after booth of fresh items and plenty of free samples. It was crowded when we went, but there was enough room for walking around and stopping to speak with the vendors. I don't think you'd need to spend more than an hour there, but it's fun to stop by on a Saturday morning, have a little jaunt around the space and maybe pick up some tasty baked goods or vegetables for the weekend. Did I also mention that they have a wacky, wavy, inflatable, arm-flailing tube man?! Because they do!

Great farmers market right next to the train station! There was a great variety of booths, from bakeries to vegetables, there was a guacamole stand and an awesome pound cake stand with tons of yummy samples. I got some homemade chocolate almond butter ($8 for 16 oz) and there was fresh peanutbutter as well, and I got a jar of apple butter for $5. There were also a few meat and cheese tables in addition to wine, beer, and mushroom booths. There were also some jewelry and soap stands, and wood carving. Overall it's a fun place to stop and try out some new things that are home made and support the local community! Can't wait to go back!

LITERALLY the greatest farmers market ever. i'm talking PLENTY of unique vendors ... live music... and TONS OF ANIMALS (dog friendly but i've also seen baby cows and alpacas ) some of my favorite vendors include a crepe making family, farm fresh ice cream, veggies and fruit, peanut butter and jams, succulents, and dog treats. Bring your own bags to help save the planet ***

There's about 20 vendors with a lot of different items ranging from coffee to produce to baked goods. Check it out on Saturday from 9am to 1pm near the Kugel Ball Park.

Meh, I've experienced better. I don't know, I guess you have to be a native of the area to really love this over priced fair.

I've been here a few times and there have always been a decent amount of vendors with a wide variety. Last time I was there I remember a guacamole stand, all sorts of vegetables, fruits and plants, meats and eggs, cheese, honey, wine, wild mushrooms, nuts, tons of pastries, and possibly a stand selling a mexican dish to eat while you are there (My last visit was last summer, so my memory is foggy). The prices on many things were a big hefty, but I'm used to farmers markets at my small town, rural college where a dozen farm fresh eggs is less than $1.50... Lansdale was selling them for about $4. I was a bit disappointed in that, but I guess the cost of living is higher. I did find some nice succulents and herbs for a steal, so not everything is expensive. It takes about half an hour to walk around, assuming you browse and chat, so this might be a good after-brunch stop to get some fresh air (or go get a pastry for breakfast!). Park across the street in the lot near the train tracks... there's plenty of parking! You're going to be paying higher prices than if you went to Wal Mart, but overall I think it's worth it to support local agriculture and farmers- not to mention the improved taste

I love the Lansdale Farmers' Market! There are so many different types of vendors, but my favorite are the bread vendors! They have so many different types of bread, some that are really unique, and sometimes they even give samples! The farmers' market isn't huge, but you could spend a good hour in there if you spent some time really looking at each vendor and what they have to offer.

I found it to be a great experience. They even had a band playing when I was there last year. I found great baked goods - bread, cookies and pastries. All kinds of produce, coffee, specialty foods, plants and stuff to chow down for lunch! I can't wait to go again with friends.

Fresh fresh fresh! Great granola, veggies, bakery, soaps, plants, jewelry and Cardinal Winery wine slushies! Breads smelled amazing. Too bad I'm gluten sensitive :( Oh yea, gorgeous cupcakes!

Love it! Fresh produce, beautiful plants, hot tamales, poundcake samples, handmade breads and sweets, fun people and chilled-out live music make this a Saturday morning staple. Smiley face cookies are a must!

Excellent small town farmers market. There are a decent number of vendors, selling a pretty wide variety of products - including a wide selection of fresh produce, baked goods, and live plants, as well as a number of more specialized vendors with some one-off products. I can't say I've been disappointed with anything I've bought here either, definitely some quality vendors. The event is well organized, and the central location makes it easy to get to by train, bus, car, bike, or on foot. Not all the vendors take credit cards, which is a bit baffling in 2012, so have cash on hand. I also wish it lasted longer, by 12:30 it already starts closing down, so you really have to get there early to make the most of it. Despite these minor complaints though, I love going even just to walk around and take it all in when I can get a free Saturday morning to do so. And sometimes I'll even buy something too :-P

Love this market! Fresh foods like frozen pasta, organic meats, maple syrup, cakes, pies, bread as well as wonderful veggies. Also this year live entertainment and home made crafts.

The Lansdale Farmers' Market is better than ever with about 30 vendors offering everything from freshly harvested seasonal fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, herbs and annual and perennial plants in addition to local wine, locally roasted coffee from organic beans, delicious nut butters, specialty sausages and charcuterie, fresh raw milk, yogurt and eggs, free range pork, chicken and beef and a new addition of freshly made hard cheese and mozzarella, artisan breads, spices and teas, fudge, designer jams and jellies, hand crafted soaps and a variety of prepared foods including sweet and savory dumplings and made on site crepes, vegan smoothies and kale chips, hand crafted jewelry, purses, scarves and doggie fashion accessories plus hand crafted furniture...and more, with entertainment or special events most Saturdays. Join us at our exciting new location in the Madison parking lot on Wood street between Main St and the SEPTA rail line. Plenty of parking and very walkable. Opening day is May 16th, 9 AM to 1 PM with entertainment by the ever popular Jeff Lohan. See you there!

The Lansdale Farmer's Market is a seasonal (mid May to early November) outdoor market open Saturday's only in downtown Lansdale. As other reviewers have noted, it has been a work in progress but by now (June 2013) it has evolved into a stable marketplace with a wide variety of vendors. Fresh produce is the predominant offering as one would expect with the type and quantity of offerings changing as the growing/harvest seasons advance through the year. The market also offers meats, cheeses, wine, baked goods, olive oil, maple syrup, spices, fair trade coffee, prepared foods and nursery stock. Notable vendors include Tabora Orchard, Windy Springs Farm and the Mushroom Guy. Hours are 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, rain or shine. The only down side is that not every vendor is there every week so it can happen that you expect to buy something and get there and find your favorite vendor is missing that week.
