Great outdoor pool for kids. Not crowded. Area has enough to do for a fun weekend. Spa is nice. Restaurants are decent enough within the complex. They always go above and beyond for my wife's birthday which is very thoughtful. I like this place.

Our stay was beyond exceptional! The deluxe suite was dreamy and the mountain view was heavenly. The Lansdowne hotel staff are all so friendly, professional, and pleasant. They aim to please. They really made our 7 year wedding anniversary so special for us from the Lansdowne tote bags to the chocolate truffle and cookie amenities. We love that it is close to Leesburg and the Reston Town Center to dine and shop. We love the Lansdowne pool. It's so family friendly. My son loves the waterslide. This stay gave us beautiful memories and elevated our anniversary celebration to a new level. We will be back for sure! It's a perfect staycation for us. Thank you, Lansdowne team!

Just stayed overnight for a wedding and overall the place is nice, service is good, but we had one major problem that left a terrible impression on us, so unfortunately we will be very hesitant in ever coming again. We had no hot water all morning. We called the front desk to let them know. The problem was never fixed. We expressed our disappointment when checking out. We were told engineering was working on it. I get it. Maintenance issues happened, but for a place that is $500 a night, something should be done to make up for it. Nothing was offered. The manager didn’t come over to apologize, offer a free credit, or offer lunch. If a place expects you to pay that much then they should deliver or make it up to you. On top of that they would have charged us for a $65 meal at the pool we did not have if we didn’t question it. We are disappointed that for such an expensive place we were just made to accept it.

I have visited this resort several times per year, solo and as a group. Great location, environment, and staff. I did have an issue with my room on the first night. The manager responded quickly and addressed the matter with myself and the staff. The poolside restaurant did forge their own tip amount on my recipe. I caught this upon checking out when I noticed the price difference. The concierge apologized and removed the false charges immediately after reviewing the physical copy of the actual check. Advice for any overnight stay: wipe down your room thoroughly, yourself. Bring your own bedding or, at least, thoroughly inspect the sheets before lying in them.

Google
Nice resort, cant complain about anything what I have seen so far. The front desk however is not looking towards a good customer experience. My room was not cleaned, I contacted the front desk in person since no one picked up the phone. The situation was explained and they told me to take care of this. No one ever came to clean my room. I called the front desk at midnight to complain but no one picked up…. I don’t know but this is unacceptable for me when you ask for relatively high prices.

My husband and I got married at the Lansdowne Resort and it could not have gone better!! All the events were executed flawlessly - a big kudos to our sales manager Kate Moreland - who had been with us since day one. Kate was always extremely pleasant and professional, and it's thanks to her excellent coordination and organization of the logistics that everything went so smoothly on the final day. We did not worry about a single thing and were truly able to fully enjoy our wedding day. The entire staff at the Lansdowne was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating and our guests all had a lovely stay. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. We had the breakfast buffet and were pleasantly surprised by the scale of the spread. It's one of the largest breakfast buffet spreads I've seen in the US and the taste was delicious too. We had the most special weekend at the Lansdowne and we will certainly be back to reminisce and relax! I would highly recommend the Lansdowne for not only a lovely stay with a luxury feel in Virginia (nearby downtown Leesburg is delightful and charming; perfect for a nice stroll, and there are many excellent wineries near the resort for an afternoon well-spent) but also as a stunning wedding venue with great staff, amenities, and food! (bonus points for having the expertise and experience with organizing and hosting South Asian weddings)

King room was spacious and spotless. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Gym was well equipped and the adult pool was fantastic. Just stayed the weekend and would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area again.

Loved the pool and hotel. Thank you Pranav for being so kind and helpful while my family was here on a short stay. Super nice and knowledgeable employee who made us feel at home. The food and service were good. Hotel is great for a get-away. Thank you

Yelp
Clean rooms and nice spa. I enjoyed the walking trail and the extra goodies in our room upon check in . Would highly recommend . Good for weddings or a family staycation. Worth the buck!

Yelp
I don't see how this place is able to claim the title of 'resort.' It's shabby and outdated. Linens are rough and thin, and pillows have no shape. Air conditioner does not work, and that wasn't just our room (our friends complained of the same hot, stuffy room). It gets worse. The bathroom emitted an odor off and on that smelled like sewage. Shower was terrible, and on our second morning it wouldn't even turn on. The breakfast buffet was a mix of store bought items and egg mix. Super gross at a high cost of $25 per person. The only decent item was the made to order omelette. Everything else was inedible. Gym was the only part of the hotel that was decent, and their bartender made a great Sazerac. I would not stay here again. Embarrassment to this city in Virginia.

Yelp
This is a great spot for a relaxing staycation. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a nice view. The resort is pretty large with lots of things to do on site. I enjoyed going to the spa while I was here. They also have a golf course, swimming pools, and a couple restaurants.

Yelp
We had a work retreat here and it was one of the best resorts I've been to in a long time! There was so much to do here, and the staff were welcoming. The breakfast buffet was delicious, tons of options and everyone raved about the omelette station. They offered movies and activities for guests in the evening, catering to everyone's needs. I'd definitely like to come back here and enjoy the rest of the resort!

Yelp
Landsdowne Resort is definitely a golfer's dream. Located in or around Leesburg, VA, this resort offers golfing and fine dining. The staff are great. For those travelers who like their points, this hotel is not connected with any chain, nor have a point system. The rooms are a little dated but nice and clean. The property is beautiful and relaxing, offering many amenities. The restaurants on property are a coin flip as far as liking vs dislike. There are local restaurants off property that are nice. I recommend the property if you are a gopher or looking for a private retreat or get-away. You can't go wrong staying at this property.

Yelp
Great customer service and facilities. I would certainly come back. I visited for four days for a work summit, and it was an align experience. The food wasn't great, but definitely edible.

Eric F.

Yelp
Overpriced. Fridge is hidden in room. Look, it's there!!! No microwave though, unless you want to pay an additional $50 a night. Breakfast is NOT included like many other hotels. TV requires you to cast from your phone.., no built in apps for streaming. I ordered an expensive dinner, but spent 45 minutes trying to connect the tv to my phone... had to call service from the hotel desk. After finally getting it to work (again only streaming from my phone) my expensive dinner was cold. No microwave in room so I had to go to the lobby store to reheat. Definitely not as enjoyable. The price is NOT WORTH IT. Go elsewhere and enjoy your stay. Home2Suites by Hilton was much nicer!!

Yelp
The golden bamboo smell that permeates the lobby area is worthy of its own Yelp review. Our first visit to Landsdown Resort & Spa was in September to celebrate my birthday and (Virgoooo!) I couldn't wait to return in December for a belated anniversary/early Christmas gift. Once again, we were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The 'For the Love of Spa' package includes * Overnight accommodations for 2 people. * (1) Champagne and Chocolate covered strawberries amenity * (1) Round of Drinks for 2 in Coton & Rye **see review * (1) $100 Dining Credit * (1) $200 Spa Credit * (Each day) $50 Breakfast Credit in Riverside Hearth **see review There are several restaurants within the facility, so that's convenient. I never want to leave. EVER. *SIGH* __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

Yelp
Beautiful place and grounds. Should be 5 stars but the lack of maintenance and uninformed staff brings the place down. The general manager really needs to up the game. In a place this beautiful and expensive, the rooms should be clean, the tv shouldn't be glitching out, the shower should drain, the shower head should be tightened so it stays in place, the sink should drain, etc. Also, the staff should know what is going on each day and should be friendly and helpful. They shouldn't have the "I don't know, I just work here" attitude. We are optimistic this all will be improved and will be watching future yelps to see when it does. We would love to come back and are looking forward to returning.

Yelp
Nice hotel as always But I see the decline in maintenance From the clogged sink to dusty bathroom racks. Perhaps it is busy travel season. They do charge you early check in fee , but the strange thing is they said the room is ready but pretty much you need to pay to get into the room few hours sooner. Oh well, if u get off a flight and took a Uber here, you should be able to pay more to get into a room that is clean and empty for you already... 4 stars for friendly staff in all restaurants and buffets

Yelp
TL;DR - skip the hotel, just go to the spa and leave. The spa is probably the best thing about this place. The food is tasteless (had dinner at Cotton & Rye) and the service was extremely slow. We got water at the end of the dinner and I had to find a server to get the check. The person handling room service seemed bothered by my call. The listings for the food aren't accurate, I had to ask if cheese was in the quiche and what kind since it wasn't on the menu. When the person delivering room service came in, the walked all the way into the room past my partner where the bed was not asking if he could come inside. In my opinion, it's not much of a luxury resort. The service and experience is no better than a regular Hilton or Marriott.

Yelp
I'm not a fan of paying for a deluxe king room and getting a small 2 double bed room for the same price. The lamp shades have cuts and stains on them. The curtains are stained too. They had to change the bed sheets, dried blood on them. Gross. The towels are like sandpaper. Have they ever been updated? The good about here - housekeeping ladies were nice when they came. They always had a smile and were very polite. The front desk staff were nice and helpful too. I guess you come here for the amenities like golfing or the spa. I'm disappointed in the quality of the room. The view is a nice view. But I won't stay here again. I expected better from Lansdowne Resort.

Yelp
I came here to experience their spa, i went to the reception and told the lady that its my first time and that I have a spa appointment and too early for it, she told me that if I want to go to the room early that I have to pay for an early arrival fee? I was confused... why do I have to pay for an early arrival fee for a spa? I told her that I do not want to pay an early fee and I said that I will go to the spa directly. I was the very first person and Sarah escorted me inside. While inside trying to use the shower, I asked the attendant to turn the knob for me which she did but would like to comment on her not noticing me obviously trying to look for someone to help me on that issue. Also, the attendant did not offer me anything to drink such as mimosa or champagne. After using their steam, sauna and the whirlpool I went to the lounge and they only have nuts but no cookies which the Salamander Resort has. Also they don't have a chase so I have no ability to stretch my legs while waiting for my body treatment. Vanessa did a good job on my whole body treatment! When it's time for me to check out, the cashier lady did not provided me the spray that Vanessa told me to take home. I was in a hurry to go home because I was hungry and they do not sell any food in that spa, I was starving and had to run. One kudos so far was their Eucalyptus Shower Spray that I bought, it smells good!

Yelp
I attended a harmony relaxation retreat here and it was phenomenal. My stay included a daily trip to the spa that was already schedule for me which included a bamboo circulation treatment along with an hour massage and the next a 80 minute massage with body scrub. Each day I was welcome to use the spa amenities before and after my service which included the sauna, steam room and hot tub. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all included in the retest package which also included wonderful aerobics classes which I enjoyed yoga each morning. The staff were pleasant and so helpful and whenever I had a question they were eager to get an answer. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return. Also for the price of the all inclusive experience it was so worth it, I left feeling rejuvenated and with clarity that I came seeking.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting this resort and spa, and when I say that it was a fantastic experience, I mean it! My experience began weeks before arrival, with working. On reservations for lodging, dinner and spa services. The website is very helpful, user friendly and concise. I worked with Laura in reservations who was a delight and helped me as I attempted to make different types of reservations for a group of 6 ladies. Her coordination was spectacular. Upon our arrival, I was able to charge my EV, which was such a necessity and head to the front desk to check in. Danielle assisted me at the counter to check in for 4 rooms while the rest of the group strolled into the spa for their services-she made it effortless. I plan on making a separate review down the spa and the restaurant. Our accommodations were great! They were able to link our rooms adjacent to each other, allowing g for us to have our own private areas but to be able to join together when we wanted to. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, however I would say that having a tub and a walk-in shower was a minus for me. Also, it was unusual that there wasn't a pad or pen in the room. We could have used that amenity. The variety of restaurants and bars was beneficial if you do not want to leave the premises, however if you want to take a short ride, One Loudon has a ton of eateries and places for activities, or to exclude a year-round farmers market. All of the staff seemed to be very hospitable and knowledgeable about the resort, which was extremely helpful, as this was most of our first times there. I would recommend this resort and spa if you are looking for a reasonably-priced staycation.

Yelp
This was a little bit of a letdown. We stayed here for a work retreat and the experience was either a HUGE hit or a HUGE miss. Unfortunately, the misses outweighed the hits by the end of the week. We experienced several broken amenities either in our booked space for our meetings or in our rooms. We were also booked at the resort during the same time as a group that was 4-5 times the size of ours - the sad part was that the staff clearly prioritized that group over us. We were last-minute thoughts, thrown in corners for meals, etc. (even though things were discussed months prior with event staff). While I recognize that some things are out of folks control, I don't believe the resort did enough to warrant our return.

Yelp
I chose this hotel because it was highly recommended on several blogs for a girls weekend. The reservation staff was wonderful and went above and beyond. Upon checking in it felt a little aloof. Not much of a welcome or orientation of the hotel. The room itself was average. Very comparable to a Hampton Inn or Marriott definitely no upscale feel but definitely a higher room rate. We found fire pit seating areas by walking around. Those were very nice. The location is nice and it''s tucked away from traffic. We enjoyed the downtown Leesburg shops and restaurants. I explained when checking in that I had two out of state friends visiting and the clerk had no interest in hearing anything. What a different experience we would have had if he had offered to explain the amenities and told us about the fire pits, s'mores kits available in the shop, live music on Friday night, the different restaurant options, indoor and outdoor pools. Of course most of that is available on the website but a more personalized check in would really change the feel of the experience. He also didn't mention the hold on my credit card for the full fee and incidentals nor did he ask about my car details and the parking fee. All in all it was sufficient and clean but what a difference some customer service would have made. My hope is that management will see this and implement training to make other guests stays better.

Yelp
Very Very Expensive Overpriced and not worth the money for staying here, having a meal here, spa treatment, having drinks ( loud) here, or playing golf. Everything is overpriced and does not live up to the expectation. We live locally and only wanted to get drinks and were even charged for parking. I would suggest checking out downtown Leesburg first for food, drinks and music....or the Village at Leesburg or One Loudoun.

Yelp
Very good and accommodating staff and service. The hot stone massage is a bit pricey and worth every one of the 75 minutes. The pedicure area has a nice view of the patio and golf course with comfy big chairs for pedicures. A very nice treat for yourself, ladies' weekend, or special occasion!

Tee H.

Yelp
This was my first time here. I'm was a little disappointed in the lack of attention to detail. When I went all the little glass cups were everywhere, they hadn't been removed after people used and left them anywhere. When the lady showed me where the bathrooms were there was a visible used tampon by the toilet that you could see from the main walk way. I had to find the lady to ask for hot tea but what was really frustrating is after my services which was an 80 minute massage and a pedicure, there was no water. My masseuse said "drink plenty of water" there was none. I knew I had 15 minutes left for the sauna but it was turned off. The lady (attendant) had her coat and book bag on and was literally leaving out of the door before 6:00pm. As a first experience I was disappointed. The actual services were okay but the overall experience for the money paid was a mid experience at best.

Yelp
I booked the Rejuvenate & Recover Retreat at Lansdowne 20-22 December 2024. When I arrived in the room, there was a machine leaning up against the mirror. I guessed that was the Non-Invasive Body Composition Assessment. I didn't use it since I wasn't sure if it was wiped down from the previous individual occupying the room. The room was dusty with dirt on the floor. The bathroom had mold in the overflow in the sink and under the bowl. The $300 massage was highly overpriced, and I was also charged an automatic 20% tip. The Nightly Herbal Foot Soak was a package with tea bags that according to the directions, I was to add boiling water into a tub to soak my feet. This package included Five-Element dining in the Cotton & Rye. I am a vegan and was served tofu, a mound of white rice and vegetables that I couldn't chew. My food arrived cold. I was the only diner in the dining room at the time and had to flag down the waiter to rectify the situation. I ended up leaving on my first night due to the below standards of the room. I called the resort several times leaving messages for the Spa Manager and have yet to hear back. If you are reading this, I highly suggest checking out your room before unpacking and bringing a black light might also be a good idea.

Yelp
We had our annual conference here last month. I was very impressed by the resort and staff that worked here. As soon as I arrived by Uber the staff assisted me with my bags and guided me to where I needed to go. At first impression the resort is very large and spacious. I loved the signage by the elevators which gave you a list of activities and classes that were going on during the day. The room that I was placed in was very comfortable. I had a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed. The only negative was the water pressure in the sink and shower. It was very low and not what I am used to at most hotels. The food I was served was average conference food which varied during the day. I did not take advantage of the amenities of the hotel. I did take a walk on the trails and passed the golf course. It was a little chilly when we arrived so we couldn't play a game. Overall, I had a good time at the Lansdowne Resort and Spa. I don't spend much time in northern Virginia so I don't know when I will be back next. I would like to come here during the warmer months when everything is back in action. Special thanks to the resort staff here who went above and beyond to make our stay worth it.

Yelp
Great choice for a close getaway. We went for a last minute treat to ourselves before baby and it happened to be July 4th weekend. We originally picked this resort because it was close to home and we wanted to check out the spa. It was our first time there and we were pleasantly surprise to find out about the festivities the resort has in celebration of July 4th. Every year they have a fireworks show and there is a BBQ Feast and food trucks on their lawn for hotel guests only which made our stay more worthwhile! The resort is also family friendly! I would recommend - especially for 4th of july - just make sure to book early for both the spa and holiday weekend and invite family and friends with you to enjoy the fireworks!

Yelp
We've already established that Lansdowne is one of my favorite spas in the DMV area! Came today after a long over due few years! Since Covid I haven't been back! So today gave me the life I needed!! I got the 80 minute deep tissue and the deep cleaning facial! Yes is all I can say!!! I didn't want to leave! I will be back again!!!!!!!!! Back in my monthly scheduling now

Yelp
The property itself is so beautiful and just peaceful. Went here for the weekend and enjoyed every moment. The pool is so nice so we mostly hung out there. And then we had dinner at the piedmont which I highly recommend. They're kid & dog friendly so we brought the whole family. The rooms are very nice, spacious, and clean. I'd stay here again and again and again. Lol.

Yelp
First the good. It has a great smell when you walk in. And the coffee brand they use is Lavazza, which is one of my favorites. Other than that, it left much to be desired. Foremost, while we were there, two of the elevators were down, so there was only one working for 8 floors of guests. I saw review here from 2 weeks ago that said the same thing, so in two weeks they didn't get it fixed? The stairs were confusing to use. We were on the fifth floor and decided to take them to save time waiting for the elevator, but of the four stairs we could take, they all went to different places and none were marked. It took three tries before we figured out the one to the lobby. I'm addition, our room was too warm. You couldn't set the thermostat below 68, which wouldn't have been too bad of the temp actually went to 68. In the middle of the night the temp went up - and the vent wasn't anywhere near us while we tried to sleep. Yet, as warm as our room was, the halls were freezing! Also they charge a "resort" fee which basically gives you nothing a hotel wouldn't give you for free (coffee maker in the room, two bottles of water, and stuff like that). It may have included something for golf, but since we don't golf that wasn't worthwhile for us. They also charged $21 a day for parking - they have a huge parking lot with plenty of room for cars, and it needs to be repaved badly so the cost was excessive. Overall it just wasn't well maintained. The parking lot and elevators were a symptom of that larger problem. Other things were the overall wear of our room. Tub was oldish and had ground in dirt. Pool table in the restaurant was shabby with with ripped pockets. Seat cushions outside were also shabby looking. Which ties in finally that there was no nice place to sit outside. They have a fire pit, but no bar nearby to get a drink to sit and enjoy it. And a wedding was happening one night so you couldn't really spend time outside there anyway. Some of those things are minor, but are symptomatic of a larger overall maintenance issue. The elevator being broken and the temp in our room tho were biggies. I have to believe that codes were being broken by having only one elevator for such a large place. We won't be going back.

Yelp
I booked a spa and stay package for my moms birthday and it was amazing. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the spa was simply great I didn't want to leave my massage appointment and all massage therapist are amazing. My mom had Malod for her first ever massage and he was great and helped improve neck, back, and hip issues she was having. Highly recommend both spa and stay package. Relaxation and customer service is definitely a top priority here!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate our anniversary. The room was ok, clean, with two stands for our suitcases, and a large TV. But I've been in suites at the Marriott that were more roomy. The lobby and grounds were nice. The Spa smelled great. The restaurants were not. Unless you are coming off the golf course and you are hungry...do yourself a favor and make plans to go to the nearby restaurants to eat. When we told the manager we were not happy about our dinner reservation being changed, they did take half the price off our room charge. That was very nice, because we spent 3 times that amount at Eddie Merlot's and had an absolutely lovely celebration!

Yelp
Atmosphere was wonderful. Customer service was excellent until we went to the restaurant. For some apparent reason me and my family of five were not offered cushions as the white families. The first day I wasn't to bothered but the second time I definitely was. I'm definitely stay at the resort but we will never eat there again.

Yelp
I came to this resort by myself for a couple of days to get away for my birthday. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were friendly and checked me in very quickly. My package came with a bottle of wine, for which wine glasses were personally delivered to my room. Because of Covid restrictions, there were some services that were not back up running yet, like room service or Valet parking, but that's not something they could help. I rented a Cabana by the pool and it was a great luxury, however, if you're by yourself, like I was, it's an unnecessary expense, but fun all the same. The drinks at the poolside grill were great!! There was a drink that was served in a coconut, wonderful!!! The Piedmont's restaurant was a short walk and a part of the resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return!!

Yelp
Stayed here this past weekend for a mini staycation for three nights. Check in was at 4 and went smoothly. Highlight for them is they do allow early check in and allow dogs under 75lbs, which was a life saver when our dog sitting plans fell through last minute. It was also a very reasonable pet fee. Now to the not so good. Our bed comforter had what appeared to be a blood stain on it. When we complained they sent only new sheets but not a new comforter. I called to correct but we never received the comforter. Our bathroom sink kept leaking around the handles. Whenever the water was on a pool of water would form around the hot water handle. Another, albeit minor complaint, is they didn't have HBO or any premium channels. Most 4 and 5 star hotels normally have some type of premium channels, however they did not. Not that big of a deal but worth noting. Also, we were really disappointed with the food options. I understand COVID has changed things but it would really be better if at least one other restaurant or bar were open. Further, the 2 hour pool times felt way too short. Would have been nice to get at least 2 and a half hours so you can get some real swim and layout time without having to rush to be on time. A highlight though was the spa. I loved my massage. We also rented bikes and the Potomac heritage trail being so close was great. The pools were nice and we appreciated that there were three, which allowed for one pool to be pretty much adults only. The staff were pleasant and the hotel for the most part was cleanly and nice. Overall, the stay was okay; not bad but we definitely expected more from a 4-star hotel. This place is really only good if you love golfing or plan to be out at wineries all day, since the resort itself is currently really lacking.

Yelp
I was really hoping for a 5 star weekend but got a VERY EXPENSIVE 3 star weekend. I had heard about this place for years and with the winter being so mild instead of a ski resort we chose here. (Disappointing)...... After spending $350+ on a room and "amenities", $140 at bar and food, $60 for breakfast we were left with all 3 of us saying "welp that was a waste of money". Not good for a place that should deliver quality. Brunch was Supposed to be one thing and it wasn't that at all after confirming several time when asked the front desk. Hotel was very outdated, wall paper in room is peeling off the walls, you can here everything your neighbor is doing, no mini fridge (I mean really no freaking mini fridge....), no trash cans throughout so people just leave trash laying around. Lots of front door staff to open and close doors but that must be where the tips are because everyone wants to open a door for you. 2-3 star stay Update: After my review they never reached out with a phone call. This place is garbage!

Yelp
I recently visited Lansdowne Resort and Spa and had a grand spa-cation! If I could give 20 stars to the Spa alone, I would. I was primped and pampered, massaged and exfoliated, kneaded and rubbed - like a queen during my treatments at the spa, so much so, I didn't want to leave! The spa facilities are immaculate, the staff is so accommodating, and the services are high quality! BEST SPA I'VE EVER VISITED!!! I highly recommend booking appointments to as many services possible! Located on 500 acres of beautifully manicured grounds in Leesburg, Virginia, Lansdowne Resort and Spa isn't just for spa enthusiasts, like myself, it's also the ultimate retreat for golfers. The golf course offers 45 holes of championship golf courses, plenty of meeting/event spaces for special events and as stated previously, a spectacular spa. My actual stay at the resort was rather restful and comfortable, but could stand to improvement on a few things. My room itself was comfortable but it had a few issues. For instance, the bed has 5-6 pillows and all of them were horrible. They could stand to be updated. The water pressure in the shower and the faucet in the sink were randomly weak. One minute they were normal, the next it was very weak. This went on throughout my stay. We came specifically for a spa and wine package, which included a complimentary breakfast daily. (Check the resort, they have several packages to suit your needs) The restaurant where the breakfast is held is lovely, but the food was cold both days we dined - with an exception to the made to order omelette/waffle station. Even with the food being on the chaffing dishes. We informed the server and he corrected the issue, but we had finished by this time. The winery tours we embarked upon were fun, but I think I would've just preferred to drive on my own. We only visited 2 wineries and we stayed entirely too long at each, but since we were on a shuttle bus with other hotel guest, we had to leave when the shuttle departed. I also didn't understand in the package that we paid for that the cost only covered the travel, not the actual tastings at both wineries. I absolutely would've driven had I known, since the wineries are only about 25 - 30 minutes away from the resort. You live and you learn. Each room includes the normal items you're accustomed to in a hotel room, a safe, mini-fridge, toiletries, etc. The WiFi worked perfectly for me the entire stay and the front desk sends you text messages throughout your stay and you can communicate with them via text and they will respond. I thought that was a pretty cool feature. They even had plugs for your phone to charge directly built in the lamps on the nightstands and in the clock on the nightstands. Nice touch! The resort itself is situated in a central area in Leesburg because plenty of dinning options around and even Leesburg Premium Outlets are about 10-15 minutes away. Plenty of exercise classes, games and other entertainment are advertised on the resort for those that would like to partake. Did I mention I was welcomed with a glass of bubbly when I checked-in? How could I forget such an important note as that?! They also have lemon, lime, or orange infused water for guest as they enter the resort. All welcomed liquids when it feels like 103 degrees outside. Yikes! The minor complaints wouldn't deter me from staying again. I just hope they can be improved upon. I'm actually trying to figure out when my next visit will be. If you're on the fence on whether you should book or not, I would absolutely go for it. I would probably wait until the kids go back to school, because when I visited their were an abundance of children at this resort. If you're someone like me who is childless and wants to get away for rest and relaxation, that can be a bit annoying. Other than that, PHENOMENAL VISIT!

Yelp
Hotel was fine.. very pricey though. The room was nothing special really. Parking for 15-20 was kind of silly too but you can park a little farther in a business complex. All resort staff were extremely friendly. Word of warning, the lifeguards at the pool arent too serious. One was reading a book while kids were playing right under them in the main pool. I definitely wouldn't trust them as a safeguard with that in mind.

Yelp
Today's was the first time I went to Lansdowne and the service from the nail tech was subpar. She was rushing through my service to get to her next client. I wasn't pleased at all with the final result and the fact she did something I could have done myself. The rest of the staff is still good. I will go there but not use her for nail service.

Yelp
My GF took me here for my birthday and I can honestly say it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever encountered in my life. Let's start at the beginning, shall we? Upon entry, we were greeted at the front desk by an incredibly professional staff, that then handed us two flutes of champagne. *heart eye emoji* Sorry, I love champagne. We got there super late so a bellmen escorted us to our room, which was clean, romantic, and had two birthday amenities(cake and Creme Brûlée) there with a card that I appreciated. & as a bonus, was delicious. We then decided to take a walk and ended up in the restaurant slash lounge, where she continued her embarrassing streak of beating me in pool(I know, I'm not proud), until we grew tired and went to rest. The next morning we got up, went to the spa, and got massages. Upon entry to the spa you're given a bucket of ice with wine on the inside, and glasses - nice touch - and a robe. I scouted the spa until I stumbled on he jacuzzi, where I remained, sipping wine, until my name was called. My masseuse - Liz - was phenomenal. PHENOMENAL. She not only massaged me, but she made me feel extremely comfortable from beginning to end. In closing, Lansdowne is a great place for a couples getaway or even a big event like a wedding. I will definitely be back in the near future. ...maybe even to get married. :)

Yelp
I had an amazing stay here. I booked the wellness retreat that came with 2 massages, access to the spa amenities, a nighttime foot soak, & an itinerary crafted to promote relaxation. I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The grounds are beautiful, the spa was awesome. My massage therapist Erica did an amazing job, and the service was great, lots of friendly people. The only thing I was over the moon about was the food. I didn't want to leave the resort to eat so I had my meals at the resort restaurants. It was just ok. All in all, I will be back!

Yelp
Well I don't have a lot to say about this one. For the price of the room, there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room, no plastic cups, no wet bar, just an ordinary kinda outdated hotel room. They do have a few options for eating and activities on the grounds which you would expect for a resort. They should offer some sort of credit to utilize those amenities like for breakfast or something. But there are plenty of places to eat around the place. They also have 2 Tesla charging stations but only one works. They have more non-Tesla stations but there were more Teslas there that needed it. I was one and one guest hogged the charging station the entire time. So needless to say my stay was less than optimal. To the naked eye, this place looks awesome but when you peel the curtain back, it's not. The staff was amazing though. I would tip everyone of them. They exceeded expectations which is why I rated them a 3. If you can find a decent hotel with a pool under $130/night you are saving money rather than coming here. That's my $.02.

Yelp
I had a really lovely stay at Lansdowne Resort, even if it wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I booked. I had come for a 2-night solo getaway retreat with plans to lounge in a robe, order room service, and hang by the pool. When I arrived at the hotel and found out that they weren't offering room service or regular housekeeping (I wish that had been more prominently displayed on the website, rather than hidden away to the point where I had to dig around for their Covid safety policies/services!!), I was super bummed. I had come looking for a luxurious weekend of pampering, and the idea of walking down to the restaurant to grab takeout didn't have the same luxurious feel as getting room service. I spoke with an associate at the front desk named Joshua, and he was an absolute angel. I told him how much I had been looking forward to the experience of some of the services, and he could tell I was really disappointed and let-down. He was really thoughtful and ended up sending a bottle of champagne and some dessert up to my room as a kind gesture, which really went the extra mile. He has also included a really kind handwritten note apologizing that the stay wasn't up to my expectations. I know these types of gestures cost the hotel very little money, but it makes literally all the difference in the world when a staff member goes out of their way to do something like that. I was really impressed. The next day I had an absolutely delightful CBD body wrap at the spa with a massage therapist, Julia, who was wonderful. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and eager to help out. The pool was relaxing and not very crowded! I ultimately cut the trip short by a day because the experience wasn't going to be what I had hoped, but regardless, the staff did a really lovely job of making it a wonderful stay despite some of the services not being offered. Thank you Joshua and Julia!

Yelp
This is heaven on earth people!! Book your stay NOW !! I am going to start with the staff! Joel was the first person we met at the concierge. Excellent service all around. The rooms where clean, no complaints there. We had a spa package and the next days spas experience was amazing. I am definitely going back... The only problem i had was with the Crofton and Rye restaurant located inside the resort. Their food is pricey and not what I expected. But this is by far the best spa experience i have been at..

Yelp
Recently, I went to the Lansdowne Resort and Spa for a quick celebratory weekend trip. I used the government rate and got the room at a reduced rate; if a room is booked with the government rate, then the resort fee is not charged, which I appreciated ($32.00 per room, per night). I checked-in early and made my way to the Elizabeth Mills Riverfront Park, located behind the resort. If you walk all the way out, you can see the Virginia/Maryland state border/Potomac River. Now, back to talking more about the venue. The property is beautiful, the staff are pleasant. Within minutes after my early check-in, a staff dropped by with complimentary chocolates and sparkling water along with a note from the staff. This was very sweet, and I definitely felt touched. I had a reservation at Coton and Rye. I had requested a quiet table, and the restaurant kept a table reserved for me by the fireplace. The meal was delicious. I left satisfied. Thanks, Lansdowne Resort and Spa, for a great trip!

Yelp
2 out of 4 elevators out of service. Pricey resort fee doesn't include parking even though parking lot was only half full. Rooms were nice but the view overlooked the roof instead of the golf course or even nature. Only 1 cabana at the adult pool and the TV inside didn't work. Also, Service at the adult pool was very slow. Waited over an hour to get a menu and drinks took too long. Hot tub jets didn't work. There seems to be so many repairs that management ignored. You can do get away with that in December but not in August. Also, this is a pet friendly hotel so you will hear dogs barking at 6 am!

Yelp
This is probably a 3 1/2 but...no half stars. Anyway, visualize that half star. Good: the staff. Friendly, smiling, helpful, sweet people who go out of their way to help you. That goes very very far anytime you stay at a hotel or resort. The floors are very pretty--slate tiles. Quite attractive. Activities are broadcast on the wall of the lobby with a projector. Looked stylish. Mediocre: the rooms. There are no grab bars in the shower. This is an oversight. Anyone can get dizzy or even slip in an unfamiliar shower. The thin cotton shower curtain was the kind that kind of sticks to you, even with an extended curved shower bar. The toiletries are laid on in pumps in the shower, very good idea and they were ok. Nothing special but fine for a stay when you don't bring your own. No extras. Just Kleenex and a shower cap. I had a double queen room. It had the usual view of the carpark but the upper stories do have a nicer view of the drive or the golf course. A small empty fridge (Yay!) water, and some Keurig capsules and very very small packets of sugar and creamer. You'd need to use both in one mug of coffee. Safe in closet, not enough hangers (typical) and that's about it. The room was on par with a Hampton Inn except there were some very nice books on a shelf, decoratively arranged but available for reading. Some people in our group reported the room walls to be VERY thin and noisy when wedding parties broke up at midnight. I didn't experience this personally. Charging station next to the bed on a nightstand. Bad: food. The breakfast was pretty good, lots of choice and beautiful berries (would be a point in the good column here) and pastry plus anything you'd want in the egg-bacon-sausage-yogurt-fruit-bread department. But the rest of the food was completely lackluster. A fish and chicken entree had a suspicious sauce of no flavor and not much of it on dry fish and tasteless chicken. The veg was good: it's what I ate of the dinner (2 stalks asparagus and an anorexic carrot and one small potato.) The dessert was downright lazy; a thin brownie batter shell (half of one) with aerosol whipped cream and a canned peach quarter "grilled" (mine wasn't. Straight from the can.) We had a taco and fajita buffet that was not as good as Taco Bell. And Taco Bell isn't very good, you know. Coffee was bitter and terrible. We didn't have time to sample the spa.

Yelp
I recently organized a girls spa weekend for my sister's birthday and was a little weary after reading recent reviews, however we had a wonderful experience. We booked two spa packages for the weekend and couldn't say enough good things about spa minerale. The staff were all very nice and the massages...amazing! We enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna while we were there. The steam room was closed but we did not miss out. It was not crowded at all and we were the only ones in the jacuzzi and sauna when we used it. The rooms were clean and they do have mini refrigerators in the rooms. They are hidden in a cabinet under the tv. The cabinet looks like a set of drawers, so it can be a little deceiving if you don't open it. The front staff did explain that to us when we checked in. The pillows were a little soft for my liking but everything else was great. We had dinner at Piedmonts and the meals were delicious and staff were very friendly. Our waiter also seemed to be a have a talent in picture taking as well and took some very "instagrammable" pictures for us. He was great! Since it was my sister's birthday, they also gave her a complimentary dessert. Lastly, the outdoor pools were wonderful. Not crowded at all and plenty of space to relax. The only complaint was that the outdoor hot tub was not functional at the time. The poolside food was also good. I recommend the fish tacos. Overall, great experience. We did learn that there were three weddings going on the same time we were there but I can say that we did not notice it at all and would not have known if I didn't have a casual chat with the front desk at check in. It did not interrupt our experience in anyway.

Yelp
Very shady practices. If you get a drink at the bar. They include gratuity, and they don't even tell you. The receipt doesn't show anything about it. All I smell is chlorine in the main building.

Yelp
I love this place. I decided that this will be an annual trip for me every year. The people/employees are great! It's so relaxing here. See yall again next year.

Yelp
Stay one night for a self care/pampering trip. The reservations are easy enough to book online, and they honor a discount for Frontline healthcare workers with proof of credentials. The reception staff are very friendly. The rooms were a little outdated, and we did find a hair on the toilet when we arrived. Not a big deal, as I just wiped it off myself, but it's a little unnerving especially during this time of the pandemic. We went to the spa twice- the massage therapists were quite skilled, as were the pedicurists. Mulad and Janela were wonderful. The grounds are very quiet and well kept. The clubhouse menu left a little bit to be desired, but the service was quite good. Not a whole lot of options for gluten and dairy allergies. I did notice a few guests in the restaurant at the clubhouse without masks and no one said anything to them. I imagine that this is very difficult confrontation to have but by not doing so, it other guests who are wearing masks feeling nervous. That would be my constructive feedback for them. All in all it was a good stay and I would consider returning.

Yelp
My visit was awhile back but I'm just now submitting the review... I booked a spa day for myself for my birthday. I booked a facial, massage, and a mani pedi... I still tipped a full 20%, even when service is bad... I still believe in tipping.... The mani/pedi staff were the only kind people. It started in the waiting room while in my robe. Literally every other person was on their phone but I was the only one on my phone and alone... another guest got up out of the room and came back... so did a staff member. The staff member came straight up to me and told me I couldn't have my phone. My phone was on silent... I was just texting my husband to check in on the kids. I wasn't disturbing anyone... but apparently the woman across the room made some false complaint about me. I'm not even sure what it was. I was absolutely mortified to be called out like that in front of everyone... even though numerous people had their phones. I fought back tears of embarrassment and put my phone on the locker. The massage staff was rude, telling me certain things would not be included before I even asked. The facial was even worse... and the job was half assed. I've had much better facials from many other spas. By the time I got my mani and pedi I was so upset by how I was being treated. I didn't understand why everyone was being so rude when I was saying nothing to anyone. I was quiet the entire time, polite and minding my own business. I felt like I was singled out. I'm not sure why I was treated so rudely by so many staff. I'm not sure why some other customer I didn't even know or speak to or sit near felt the need to complain about me sitting quietly on my own. But I clearly wasn't welcome there. To spend so much and leave unrelaxed and having the worst massage and worst facial of my life... I will never return here.

Yelp
Came to Lansdowne using their Spa Getaway package with my three other friends. The Spa Getaway package comes with $300 in spa credit, which we thought meant $300/person, not per room. We talked to multiple hotel employees before booking who reassured us that each of us would get $300 to spend at the spa. However, when we checked out, we were finally told that it was only $300 per room, meaning our total was much higher than expected. Throughout the entire booking process and stay the hotel was untruthful about our total cost which is not what anyone is looking for in a weekend getaway. The hotel manager was extremely unsympathetic and unhelpful, and refused to acknowledge their mistake and help us with the situation. However, the therapists at the spa were amazing and the reason why the review is two not one star!! My massage and facial were excellent and I was extremely relaxed. Everyone was very nice and I would definitely come back once the hotel improves their customer service.
