We tried this place on Civic Day, and as you probably know, Quebec doesn’t observe Civic Day like other provinces, so it becomes a popular spot for people to visit when everything else is closed. That’s probably why there was a long lineup of about 25 people in front of us. Even though they had some free tables outside, they didn’t have enough servers to cover them. But there was a really nice guy managing the line, talking to everyone and explaining the wait, which made the experience way better.
Once we got seated, we were given a menu with lots of options, and what I really liked was that they had a little icon next to the dishes that were made with local Quebec ingredients. That made it easier to try the more authentic items. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were huge. Most meals came with fries and a lot of sides. You could also upgrade to include a soup and drink, and for just $1.55 more, you could add a dessert too.
We ordered a pitcher of IPA for $23, and the regular pitchers were $20, which felt pretty fair. The only small issue was that they forgot our hot drink and dessert at first, even though we had upgraded for them. But they eventually brought them, and honestly, they were super busy, so it was understandable. The mushroom soup was tasty, even though the portion was small. The food overall was really delicious, the service was super friendly, and for what you pay, the whole experience was totally worth it.
