We’ve visited this place several times before and have also stayed at hotels in this chain — overall, we’ve usually had good experiences. However, this time we encountered a disappointing mix of poor communication, unprofessionalism, and rudeness from the staff.
We came for lunch, and at first, everything seemed fine: the interior was pleasant, the music not too loud, and the atmosphere was nice. We were seated promptly and placed our order. The food was decent, though not exceptional — we ordered drinks, appetizers, and a 1kg steak. The steak was cooked well but was served completely bare, without any garnish or sauce, which felt rather underwhelming considering the price.
What truly ruined the experience was how the staff handled our loyalty membership. I mentioned that we are part of their loyalty program, which we paid €180 for, and the response was indifferent at best — a simple “so what do you want?” attitude. I explained that we were unable to access the loyalty account to show the QR code because the system wasn’t sending the login verification code — something that had happened before. I kindly asked for their help, as we were entitled to a 10% discount under the program.
I spoke to three different waiters, but no one seemed to take the request seriously. Eventually, a manager came over. I explained the issue again, even showed her the email confirming that the login code wasn’t arriving. She simply said, “I can’t help you and I won’t apply the discount.”
When I insisted and explained this had happened before and was resolved politely, she reluctantly said: “Fine, I’ll apply the discount if you prove you actually paid for the membership.” I had to search for the receipt in front of my guests — which was incredibly humiliating. Once I showed proof of payment, she applied the discount with visible irritation on her face.
We left the restaurant with a very bitter impression. It was extremely disappointing, especially given that we are loyal customers who’ve invested in their membership program.
I won’t be returning, and I certainly won’t be recommending this place to any of my friends. This kind of disrespectful attitude towards paying guests — especially those in a loyalty program — is completely unacceptable.
