Lanzhou Ramen N Sushi (兰州拉面)

I ordered the seafood noodles and California sushi. The food was good — flavorful and nicely prepared. I do wish they offered rice noodles for those of us with gluten sensitivity; I could only enjoy the broth, which was tasty though! The only downside was the water — it had a bitter, almost like antibiotic taste, likely from tap water, which wasn’t very pleasant. If service tap water, it should be treated differently. Otherwise, the experience and food were enjoyable overall. Pleasant atmosphere!

Very good sushi place. Didn't try the Ramen or other dishes. Portions are large! You don't leave hungry. The menu prices have been marked out and reduced, when does that happen. Loved the water display of fish floating in a bubble wall (more air flow would get the fish higher and improve the presentation). I would prefer smaller portions with higher quality. The rolls are too large. Great service. Short wait times.

The ordering system is so speedy with their tablet system. Your server can take your order and send it to the kitchen before they even walk away from your table. Food came very quickly and was good. Noodles are slightly too salty for my taste but others had no complaints. I was pleasantly surprised by the sashimi. It had a bit of a lemony taste to it, but I was quite pleased with the price point. It was a hot summer day and they made sure that our water never went empty. High chairs and disposable cups are available for small children. The restrooms do not have a changing table. Pros: window to watch noodles hand pulled, quick service Cons: no changing table

This is the third location of Lanzhou Ramen in the Metro-Atlanta area, but this location has sushi as well. They have been here next to Melting Pot and Hero Boy on Mansell for six months now, so stopped by with my best friend to give everything a try for an early lunch. So, the place feels fun with many orange hues throughout. The service is friendly, you can see the cooks working on the doughs, and everything comes out pretty quickly. Felt really welcomed here by Elena and the staff, and we decided to try a bunch of their dishes. We tried the pulled noodles soup with duck, Beef Noodles, and sashimi. We were also recommended to try the Steamed Soup Dumplings, so got those along with some sushi rolls. Everything is fresh, and you can see everything being prepared. Definitely a great addition to the community so stop by when you are in the area. Also, thank you for the complimentary fried ice cream :)

I come to LanZhou Ramen & Sushi specifically for their soup dumplings, and enjoy every dish I get here! Staff is super friendly, food is made fresh and tastes great. Not a long wait for a good sit-down option. Thank you!

I love Lanzhou! Their food is delicious and you get a lot of value for your money. The portions are big and filling, especially the hand pulled noodle soups. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, I’ve been welcomed with a warm smile every time I visit during my lunch break. Lanzhou deserves a visit from you!

I came for famous hand-pulled noodle, since I lived at Lanzhou for many years. But it was a disappointing experience. There are plenty of parking spaces, internal decor looks nice, service was good and courteous. I order hand-pulled noodle with beef flank, my wife ordered same with beef tripe, we also ordered steamed soup dumpling and a scallion pancake. The dumplings were nice and tasty, the pancake was okay, no layers as we expected. Finally the noodles were major disappointment: my first impression was the noodle did not taste like hand pulled, and soup was not same as I had at Lanzhou or anywhere in China. Later on I verified from the display window that the noodle was truly hand pulled, but somehow they tasted far from authentic Lanzhou hand pulled noodles. Anyway it's not bad, just not as good as I expected. I used to work at GM across the street, nice to have a noodle house nearby.

Authentic atmosphere, promo service with smiles and delicious food. I had an affordable duck ramen that came with a hearty portion of duck. Duck was well roasted and flavorful, bok choy was perfectly cooked, sashimi was fresh 🤌

This place is incredible! I dream about their soup dumplings and wish I could eat them every day. We love all the dumplings, the potstickers, the crab rangoons, and the noodle dishes!

I've been to the Doraville location of Lan Zhou ramen and liked it, so I thought I'd try the location is Roswell. The menu is a bit different with this one offering a sushi bar while the Doraville location offering some other authentic Chinese dishes. The food was ok here. I prefer the Doraville location. The portion also seemed a bit less. Service was good. No complaints on cleanliness.

My husband and I stopped here after our hike and let me tell you how it was the perfect choice! Initially, all I wanted was sushi post hike and wanted to try a new place so I picked this place just in case my mind changes- and it did. This place was packed during lunch and the aromas in the room had me drooling. I really wanted to order more for lunch but didn't build a big appetite so I will be back! The noodles were fire and so was the sushi- only thing was it was so BIG not your average size so it was hard to fit in your mouth and kept breaking. Other than this, everything was so good from the few items we tried

Great to have this place so close to home. Very modern atmosphere, good service, clean, and great noodle soup and noodle stir fry options along with dumplings, bao, sushi, bubble and milk teas. Worth visiting

I am so glad they opened this location in Roswell! A great place for comfort food! Waitress are super nice and friendly :) There are plenty spots to sit! And you can observe the kitchen through the windows! My go to orders are the seafood noodle soup and beef soup with knife cut noodles. They made their noodles in house, so very fresh and chewy! And they marinated the beef by themselves too! Both of their soup steam buns and pork buns are taste are very good if you are into pork! The xinjiang stir fried chicken is their chef special. You pay $30+ to get a huge plate of the chickens, potatoes, peppers and knife cut noodles! It is salty, but blend well with noodles and rice.

The hype is real! I ordered the beef noodle soup with hand cut noodles, pork buns and soup dumplings to go. The beef noodle soup had a large piece of ginger that flavored the delicious and savory broth. The soup dumplings were filled with perfectly seasoned meat and the wrapper was the perfect consistency and thickness. I was also impressed by the quantity of the food. If I had dined in the restaurant in person, I think this meal would have been even more scrumptious!

He service was very good from the moment we walked in thru the check. The servings (soup bowls)are very large and the noodles are VERY long and tasty Try this place for sure. We will be back

Not bad. Apparently the noodles are all handmade to order. It tasted really bouncy and chewy. But I thought it would be thicker. Tasted v authentic. 老板娘跟热情

Dropped by on a perfect, rainy November day for some soup. It was pretty good. Having been to their original location, I was curious to see if this one would be just as good. I ordered the knife-sliced veg and egg noodle soup with beef broth. It had a good flavor and a range of subtle spice. The raw tomatoes were a little weird, but that's probably just me. The noodles were thick with plenty of chewy texture. I also tried the scallion pancakes, which had great consistency and crispiness--definitely a highlight. The ambiance was comfortable, with cozy seating that made it a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. It had a laid-back vibe, which was perfect for a casual lunch. The service was really welcoming and friendly. They did bring me the wrong type of noodles but quickly corrected it when I pointed it out. If you're craving some noodles, scallion pancakes, or dumplings... it's worth checking out, especially since you don't have to drive down near BuHi to get it the same taste.

Authentic Chinese dishes closer to home (15 mins drive vs 50 mins drive to BuHi). Beef noodle soup is solid in taste. The xinjiang stir fry chicken is HUGE. See picture comparing my palm vs the plate. Favorite dish is the oil pouring spicy chicken noodle. It reminds me of Indonesian toss noodle...it is rich in flavor and has strong garlic taste. YUMM!!! Scallion pancake is just alright. It is crispy but do not have much scallion.

Great noodle spot that opened nearby. We got pulled noodle veggie stir fry it was super flavorful and full of wood ear mushrooms and other veggies. The flavor was outstanding. My boyfriend got roasted duck soup and loved it! Can't wait to come back and try their sushi.

We got take out from this place. We have visited the other location. This location is new. The place was smaller than the other location but just as nice. There were people eating when I arrived to pick up my order. When you open the door, you get the aroma of good food. The people there were friendly and help me quickly. When getting home the food was still warm and good. We had gotten soup with hand pulled noodles with some appetizers. I would recommend this place if you are looking for some good food. I would want to go back to the place and eat in house. There are only certain things you have to get that has to be eaten right away. But I would definitely want to try eating at the restaurant.

So fun. So welcoming. We brought our friend in with us last night. They also gave us a discount. There is so much to choose from it is difficult to not over order so I did not try.

It's a really cute place, the restaurant isn't huge but there's ample seating. We were one of two tables so we received great and attentive service. They were very accommodating especially since we had three kids with us. The kids loved watching the cooks hand pull the noodles through the kitchen window. The food was great. Flavors were authentic and on point. The portions were huge. The hand pulled knife cut noodles were my favorite. They were chewy and Al dente. The menu is extensive so there's something for everyone. In addition, they are running a 20% off grand opening special until June the waiter said.

It is casual Chinese, nothing special. I asked for extra carrots for my veg soup, as it was mostly noodles and broth and all I got was a spoonful of SHREDDED carrots. But I am sure the restaurant fits some.

So glad we decided to come here for dinner. The owners have clearly have put a lot of love and energy into this place, everything from the dish ware to the walls are aesthetically pleasing. Service was friendly and to the point and the menu is well priced for the quality and portions of food. I got the OMG Roll- the presentation was beautiful and was a lot more food than I expected. My dad got the beef noodle soup with handmade pulled noodles and the flavor was perfect, great for a cold night. They have options like chili oil and Sriracha if you want to spice things up. Overall impressed and so excited I can get hand pulled noodles and authentic cuisine without going into all the way into Atl or Duluth. Definitely worth checking out.

Met my dad here for Chinese New Year since we're meant to eat noodles on this day. The restaurant was brightly lit inside and had a welcoming atmosphere. We started with the Steamed Soup Dumpling. They were pretty tasty. The dumpling sauce with them added a nice, slightly sweet touch. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of them. It was basically a stock picture of soup dumplings. My dad ordered the Seafood Stir-Fried Hand-pulled Noodles, and I ordered the Beef Flank Hand-Pulled Noodle Soup. The stir fried noodles were the better choice. The sauce was flavorful and the noodles were chewy. My soup was good. It just wasn't great. I would most likely choose a stir fry or a different soup next time. Service was fine. They seemed a little overwhelmed as there was one server and the sushi chef who was also helping seat customers. I would try again if in the area.

I stopped in for a to go order because I wanted some sushi. I was greeted warmly and was able to place my order quickly. The food was delicious and fresh. I am a fan of the red dragon roll! The inside decor was very colorful and lively. I am a new fan!

Well not a good start for Lanzhou! Ordered my take out thru UBER EATS and just got 3 items. Chicken Brocolli was average at best and THEY FORGOT THE RICE! Edamame was basic. Fire Island Roll came with no Soy Sauce and was sloppy... I did call the restaurant to try to right the situation and ELLEN offered me a free Rice Next Time I visit :). Oh well. $68 later and I won't be re-ordering.

Wanted best of both worlds and that's what I got. Some great sushi, soup dumplings and some of the best ramen! Definitely a must try and one of my top favs that I am willing to drive to even if the Buford location is closer!

The staff is very nice and the food is DELICIOUS. We first visited the location on Buford highway, but now we have one closer to home! Whether it's delicious sushi or hand pulled noodles, the food is incredible! Can't go wrong with any dish at this restaurant

This new spot in Roswell is bright inside & friendly. Orange decor with comfortable booths. 4 stars for the staff & 3 for the food. Table seating also available. Our servers worked as a team..large menu with apps, soups, noodle dishes & sushi to order. We started with the dumpling app. They have different sauces on the table even dumpling sauce. The dumplings were generous & very good. The sushi was alright. Beautifully displayed & large in quantity, but not the quality & taste was just ok. My husband liked the spicy tuna. But it fell apart. The rainbow roll was ok. I had the Naruto & shrimp tempura. The size of the roll was so big...too hard to eat...I asked our server & she recommended asking for smaller portions in size next time. The tempura was a bit overcooked. I would definitely try the noodle dishes as they hand make the noodles & you can see them doing this in the kitchen. The staff are so nice, so we'll try again.

Have been to their location on Buford Hwy. Was excited to see this new Roswell location. They did a good job with the outside signage/video screen to catch people's attention. The interior of this location is much more modern. They seemed to be working through some service protocols, but that's to be expected at a new place and they were very nice about everything. The food was delicious and fresh. We had the pan fried pork potstickers, the shrimp stirfry with hand-pulled noodles and the beef stirfry with hand-pulled noodles. Such an awesome addition to the area. Can't wait to visit again!

The food was absolutely astounding. The homemade noodles with the homemade broth was superb and it was actually so good that I had to make a review about it while I'm sitting in this restaurant right now it was insane.

I have been twice. The food is delicious and the decor is beautiful. We have had the same server both times and she incredibly kind and attentive. Some of my favorites were the kani salad, crab rangoons, shrimp tempura, sushi appetizer (very fresh) and pork fried rice. Very happy to have delicious Chinese so close to home!

Usually go to the Doraville location a lot when I'm in the area for lunch, but food is just as good at this location as well. Beef noodle is usually my go to, but everything I've had so far has been great. The noodles are hand made, done well, and can be made to your preferred thickness/thinness. If you live in the Roswell/Alpharetta area, you now have a nearby authentic Chinese restaurant in your neighborhood to go to. Must try!

I remembered trying the peachtree location in the Chinatown building. The noodle soups and noodle dishes in general are excellent. So I was anticipating the opening of this location since it's closer to where I live. And I was thrilled when it finally opened a couple months ago. The interior had a modern yet chinese vibe to it and was undoubtedly clean. And the service was impeccable as they take your order and make sure they got it down correctly. A real friendly environment. The noodle dishes, whether soup or stir fried, were as delicious as I remember it from the peachtree location. And they also serve great dumplings and other dishes you expect from a Chinese restaurant. The one thing that made this location different yet unique was the sushi. Trust me when I say this, the sushi is just as good as everything else they serve. Since they also have a bar, Lanzhou Ramen N Sushi is ideal for both lunch and dinner. This place really helped in the cold winter months. If you love great Chinese food and great sushi, come here! Let's give them good business so they stay open in Roswell.

Amazing variety! The food was so delicious. Looking forward to more meals with this restaurant. Service was outstanding! You won't regret dining with them. It was worth the travel time from Marietta.

I think because it's a newer restaurant (location) they've got a lot of work to do. The food wasn't that great. Green beans were drenched in a white sauce (garlic) and were over cooked. Chicken was super dry. Sushi didn't taste fresh. It was okay. Won't return here.

Excellent experience, no need to go to Buford hwy anymore. We had beef noodle soup and seafood noodles soup which were both delicious. An appetizer fried pork pots were also very good. We will be back and highly recommend this place.

They are not in the same league as the Buford Highway branch. I have eaten there twice and I won't be back. Their broth is sub par for noodle soup, their pot stickers have too much wrap, and the meat they put on noodle soup dishes are below average

Love their homemade knife-cut noodles! I love the spicy diced chicken noodle soup and the tofu stir fried. Their sushi is also delicious. It's our go to place for authentic noodle soup

Great homemade noodles. Salt and pepper chicken app is good and love the pork dumplings. Glad to see a good Buford Hwy Chinese restaurant in the burbs.

I think when they get their service straight things will go well. Still have issues with ordering. However, food is good and priced reasonable. We had several good sushi rolls that were less expensive than most places. The dumplings were also good. Look forward to trying the other dishes soon

If you're looking for the best Chinese noodle soup you've ever had, try Lanzhou Ramen on Mansell Rd. They make their own noodles by hand and you can watch them do it. Their broths are supremely delicious. They also have many other authentic Chinese dishes. Service is friendly and attentive. They have another location on Buford Hwy which is very good. Go as soon as you can!

So happy they opened one spot in Alpharetta! No need to drive all the way to Doraville going forward. Awesome and authentic hand pulled noodles. I was told the soup dumplings are made on site. My daughter ordered sushi and also said it is delicious!!

Excellent food and service. Easily the best pho and stir fried ramen in the area. Just as good as their Buford Highway location! It has a different ambience than BuHi but doesn't disappoint in any way. Love Lanzhou!

For ramen, Lanzhou if Roswell isnt as tasty as other nearby options in terms of broth, veggies and overall depth of flavors. The broth here for pork and beef ramens wasnt deep in flavor or seasoning. The pluses for Lanzhou are a very good online website and a very good appetizer menu. The tempura shrimp and edemame are good! However, it seems an accountant took a razor to the kitchen to cut sauce container sizes for the tempura. And the lack of useful ramen sppons for the dish. We love the Buford Hwy Lanzhou store to be clear! But the soul of the Buford Hwy place wasn't in Roswell's food. We'll try the other noodle and Chinese style dishes for a 2nd chance.

The sushi is over the top! The chef is an artist. Every special roll I order is a masterpiece. Try it out!

The owner is a generous and hard working man. I go to one of the churches around the corner and he hand prepares some of the BEST meals I've ever had. Ask for the crab rangoon.

What a tastefully decorated, quaint, modern Asian restaurant. Very pleasing dining experience and wonderful menu of classic fare. The owners are amazing. They are very actively involved in the operation and it shows. It oozes in hospitality. They've added a cut out window into the kitchen giving curious eyes a peak at the kitchen activities. Can't wait to dine here again.
