From the moment I walked into Laos Asia Market, I knew I was in for a treat. This isn't just a place to eat; it's a journey into the heart of Laotian cuisine. The Laos Papaya Salad was my first stop - a perfect blend of fresh, unripened papaya with a daring salted anchovy sauce. It's a unique clash of flavors that works beautifully. Then came the Chicken Larb, generously packed with seasoned chicken and cilantro - a combination that may split opinions but undeniably delivers on taste. But the showstopper? Their Chicken Curry. Imagine a bowl filled with tender chicken, creamy coconut milk, and pickled young bamboo, all for an incredibly reasonable price. It's comfort food that takes you places. The ambiance is simple yet inviting. Asian TV plays quietly in the background, adding to the authentic feel of the place. It's not bustling or flashy, but that's its charm. The staff deserve a special mention too - engaging, friendly, and creating a warm atmosphere that complements the food perfectly. Whether you're a foodie looking for new flavors or just in the mood for a hearty, satisfying meal, Laos Asia Market is a must-visit. It's a simple setup with a focus on what matters: great food, great prices, and great people. A hidden gem that's definitely worth exploring! Nice clean market to visit. The counter lady actually spoke Laotian back to me. We ordered food to go and everything was delicious. I would definitely come back. Parking lot was big enough for larger size vehicles to navigate through.

I cannot speak enough great things about this place. Like many laotian/thai shops: this is family owned. The selection is product is very wide and it was refreshing to see that the produce was fresh and reasonably priced. There's a little food area on the far right side of the atore which sells the following items . They have hot items up front along with a select menu. The menu may be small but the flavor speaks for itself. Being of laotian descent; this reminded me of home. I recommend the sour bamboo soup with some rice. 🥹. Pictured is Khao piek Sen which is similar to upon noodles but the broth is a little thicker/ add some Chilli sauce and it's perfect. They have the stapled food items that would make you feel like you're apart of the culture. I LOVE how the ladies were welcoming their customers and made sure to explain what the dishes were for those who didn't know. (They do speak English too). I also got the frozen and table desserts which I HIGHLY recommend. Their '"coconut soup' is similar to the vietnamese ché but just add some ice.... this place is super under rated.

This Lao Asian Market is awesome! Every time we come to Vegas or pass by we make it a point to visit this Market. They have many cooking essentials and a small restaurant inside that cooked amazing traditional lao food. There are also many food and deserts that are packaged and ready to go. Definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys Lao food & desserts. A must try!

Google
Friendly people, small Asian mart with a selection of fresh produce. Particularly happy to find holy basil and Thai eggplants. Their Thai Larb is tasty and their level 8 spicy is tasty without being overpowering. Their Pa Lo (pork and egg in savory broth) is heavy on the cinnamon and five spice, comforting and a very nice option for those who do not go for spicy food. I was delighted with the way they include fresh crab in their Som Tum (Thai Style papaya salad). Their market also had a nice selection of Thai desserts I enjoy. Great for take out, has tables for dining in casually - somewhat cafeteria style.

Google
Very good home cooked meal if you need pho, kao piek, papaya salad, larb, nam, soup. You can buy anything from the store to drink or eat for dessert too. Prices aren't any more than a food truck. Off the strip!

Google
We come here every single time we are in Vegas. It’s hands down the best and most authentic Lao food. It’s a grocery store/deli. The aunties are super friendly and very welcoming. We typically order everything on the menu but this time we only ordered khao pierk senh, papaya salad and also some deep fried meat, hot sauce and sticky rice. We brought those back to our room for midnight snacks. It’s a staple for us. I cannot say enough how much we love this place. Must try!

Google
Delicious, Authentic Laotian dishes. This is a grocery store that has a restaurant with limited seating. You can purchase additional items and enjoy right there.

Yelp
Great Mom and Pop, hole in the wall place. We always come here at the end of our Vegas trip to get our Asian good fix! If you're Asian, like myself, it's hard to go more than 2 days without authentic food you're used to! Currently, the kitchen is being remodeled so only certain items are available and you cannot dine in. We ordered our food and found a spot in the some shade to eat in our car, before driving back home. Good service and welcoming establishment. We also always get the lao sausages, beef jerky, and some type of dessert to go, for the long road trip home. Ps. Can you please add Thai boat noodles to the menu?

Marlina L.

Yelp
Your experience and opinion may differ from mine. The ladies there are so sweet! I found this market via Yelp as I was craving papaya salad. When I arrived, there was a sign that said the kitchen was "closed, under construction." I was bummed since I'm not from the area. There was a lady behind the counter that asked what I wanted, I told her and she said she could make it for me. That was very nice of her. I ordered spice level 2 - my mouth was burning. "Level 2 is for babies." Check this place out if you're in the area. It's very clean and organized.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Monday morning before heading back home from a bachelorette trip. The kao piek was much needed after a long weekend of drinking. The food and service was wonderful and the aunties were really nice. You can shop and eat at the same time. They had many options from asian sauces, spices, and snacks. They also sell fresh kao piek noodles if you want to make the soup at home. They had a variety of deli foods from laos sausage, asian desserts and laos beef jerky. I wish there was a store like this in the Phoenix area. I will definitely be back when I'm in vegas for some authentic laos food.

T C.

Yelp
The ladies here are sweet. Service was good. Food was so so. Papaya salad: salty. 3.5/5 Beef larb: 2/5, it tastes salty and smells stinky Nam Khao: 3/5. Rice was not crispy at all. Flavor was decent Lao sausage: 3/5. Very dry and lacks flavor of authentic Lao sausage Custard Sweet rice: 3.5/5. If you like sticky rice dessert this isn't bad but the custard was too eggie in taste. Maybe a few drops of vanilla will help. Overall: 3/5.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
This is a neighborhood market with food service in the back of the store. It is outside of the Vegas strip but not too far. We ordered beef pho, Lao sausages, beef larb, nam Khao and the papaya salad. Pricing is very reasonable compare to other places. Overall, we had a good experience eating here. Very authentic Laos food except the beef pho. Beef larb, nam Khao, and papaya salad were our favorite dishes out of all of the things we ordered. I would come back just for these items. Lao sausages was okay but kids said it was good. Beef pho tasted like it was out of pre-made broth from a can. Sliced beef was thick and over cook. We didn't like it.

Sakol M.

Yelp
This asian market is a drive east from the strip. It's hidden behind the McDonald's. Free parking outside. The entrance is the single door on the right side. Once inside, it's a small market with a deli section at the back right corner. Not crowded at all. Employees seem happy. They won't have everything you're looking for to make home-cooked asian meals. I picked up a few items. Not as expensive compared to other asian markets. I ordered the Thai papaya salad at the deli. Overall it was decent.

Allen Y.

Yelp
This grocery store has a tiny restaurant inside that serves some delicious Laos food! My first time coming here and I was confused on how things work. Apparently, you just order food and sit down and eat. If you want something to drink, the restaurant offer Thai tea and Thai iced coffee. Otherwise, you may also go grab drinks from the grocery refrigerator section and bring it back to your table. Once you're all done eating, ask the waiter for the bill. Take the bill to the grocery cashier and that's where you pay for your food, including any drinks you may have taken from the grocery drink isle. Overall, this place makes some very good Laos food. I would be a regular here but I live too far to come every day.

Vanneda P.

Yelp
This was my first stop when going to Vegas! I found it through yelp, and it's a mini market that serves great Laos food. I felt like my mom's mom was in the kitchen. Service was fast and the server was really nice and helped us with the menu.

Yelp
I needed plain sticky rice for a field marketing project happening at the convention center. I called to make sure they had cooked sticky rice and the woman on the phone was so kind and helpful. I sent my fiance back the next day to get more because they made the entire experience so seamless. The store was wonderful and had many of the items I would return for. Overall five stars for convenience, ambiance, and service. Definitely get your supplies here!

Melanie W.

Yelp
Great customer service. Had what I wanted in stock! I highly recommend this market for Asian foods.

Solina C.

Yelp
Great family owned little grocery store! They sell bomb Lao food, just unfortunately at the moment their kitchen is currently under construction. We will be back once it's up and running. And very friendly people!

Phet S.

Yelp
I'm not really interesting in Lao foods when I'm at home because I can cook what ever I like to eat but when you're out of town on vacation you crave something that you can't cook and like to eat. That's why this place is my favorite place to go when you're in Las Vegas, the foods were delicious, the people the prices and services were excellent. If you like authentic Lao foods this is the best place to visit.

Brenda S.

Yelp
Super clean, open set up, the deli in the back has so many options to pick. Today I came in for a bowl of fresh kaopiak. After a long weekend with the family this was very much needed. Coming all the way from Fresno Ca... I needed to stop by a Lao establishment before heading back to the Central Valley.

Kacee B.

Yelp
Heard about this so we decided to check it out. It is a little out of our way but it was a great experience. First of all, the ladies working here are soo nice and helpful! Definitely come by, they will make sure you are take. care of! This place is a grocery store but it has a little restaurant in the back where there are a few tables there. The have some hot dishes plus some are made to order eg papaya salad, larb, nem khao which we ordered with some sticky rice. The also sell some sweets right by table by the cash register which we grabbed some as well. The food is good--just a little salty for my taste but the flavors are authentic! A few people ordered the noodle soup too which we'll do next time. This place is down to earth, unpretentious, has authentic flavors, so if you are in the area and want some Lao/Thai food, just stop by!

No H.

Yelp
Had much here while in Vegas. It's part of a small market in the back. Fast service and friendly people. We ordered pho, larb, namkhao, and papaya salad. I enjoyed everything except for the pho. Pho was ok, a bit on the bland side. The namkho was good and so was the larb. I ordered mine bitter which my boyfriend who is white does not like. He likes the non bitter version. Papaya salad was good as well. Price was fair for the portions! If you're in the area and want to try Lao food, definitely go check this place out.

Vuoch. L.

Yelp
Can't go home with out stopping here . So make sure to bring a cooler. It's a grocery store and also has a small section of hot deli to dine in or take out . They always have the usual chicken noodle soup/ beef noodle soup / laab any favorite protein of choice salads . So excited to haul back home some fresh made desserts , my eyes pop to see that have one of my favorite cassava cake soft and delicious . I can't believe how busy this little grocery was early in the morning. We came in an hour after it's open , already it's bustling with people eating . We killed two birds with one stone kinda day , we had breakfast and shop for some sweet treats , crispy rice salads , beef salads and sauces to take home . The ladies behind the kitchen counter still amazing, smiling friendly faces.

Christina S.

Yelp
Love this place! Food taste so good, almost as if it was made from home. This store is amazing because not only is it a store, but they sell food here too. I've got to try the papaya, sausage, kao poon, and their jaew bong. All the food from here is so mouth watering, I always make sure to get it spicy. The ladies who work there are always so nice and comforting. Inside the store they offer dine in with condiments on the side. I've ate there and I've had it to go, both tastes the same. Anytime I'm in vegas, I always make sure to stop by. Make sure to order the whole menu when you visit

Joe P.

Yelp
This place was very good! A nice hole in the wall Asian market but doubles as a small Lao restaurant! Very good people and service was great! Food beings me back to East side San Diego! Will come again!

Mimi J.

Yelp
Came here the 1st time back in 2013 Returned back for NYE Lunch w my Laos girlfriend and a Chinese friend who's familiar with Laos Food. I recall the food use to be superb. We got Nam KHAO, beef larb, papaya salad, lao pho, khao piak & curry. Everything wasn't as much flavorful for it being Laos Food. When we revisited, it wasn't as top notch. The market is a restaurant also, the ladies were all so friendly. Definitely great customer service. It does get your Laos food fix. My friends also agreed. Remembered it use to being really good. The market have a lot of items to purchase along w pre made dry food & yummy dessert. Their thai ice coffee & thai tea was good, really creamy. Lots of parking available. In the same plaza as McDonald's.

Sophie M.

Yelp
my favorite place to get lao style papaya salad in vegas! all the workers are so friendly and sweet here. the food is always so good that it's definitely worth the drive

Juliann F.

Yelp
Has everything I needed to take home with me to my small town where there is no Asian stores to shop at. The ladies that work there are very nice and helpful if I had any questions. lol they knew I was making short cuts on sone food prep due to a couple seasoning packets .

Tinah Y.

Yelp
This place is only 2.5 miles from the main strip. Food was authentic and excellent. Service was super friendly! It's now gonna to my go-to and must stop by when I'm in Vegas! Prices are very reasonable... not your over priced casino/tourist price.

Gwen N.

Yelp
We found this spot randomly when the Thai restaurant we intended to go to happened to be closed due to construction, and we are so glad we went! The made to order food is served in the back right of the grocery store. We ordered the papaya salad with crabs and the nam khao. The server told us it's her favourite so we had to try it. I asked for mild papaya salad, and it still turned out to be pretty hot. I typically like spicy food but was still sweating. It was worth it though! If you can't handle spice, then definitely get no spice at all. I ordered sticky rice to soak up the pungent sauce. I can drink it, I love it so much! The nam khao was also very flavourful. It comes with a vegetable tray with lettuce and cilantro. You're meant to wrap the filling with the lettuce. Even though we only ordered two dishes, we were stuffed and had to take some of the nam khao to go. It tastes even better as leftovers, if you can believe it! After we finished eating, the lady at the counter gave us the bill and we go to the front to pay. We completed our visit by purchasing some desserts from the grocery store for later, since we were so full already. I love it here!! Wish we had something like this in my home town! Parking is easily found in the plaza. Service is very friendly.

Molly G.

Yelp
The food is good and cheap and the staff is really friendly. It is a little market but wonderful people

C V.

Yelp
Home cooking foods, 3 auntie in the back cooking authentic home cooking dishes. You can request something not on the menu they will try to make it. This place is a local favorite. It a grocery store with mini kitchen (restaurant). Very clean and inviting. Recommend for those who want home cooking. Enjoy we will return..

Theresa A.

Yelp
This place is a little gem. The aesthetics of it isn't all that at all but the employees in there are super super friendly and very helpful. I went in looking for a few ingredients as I was attempting a Thai meal They answered all my questions as far as flavors, go and helped me pick out my ingredients. The lady became my personal shopper. It was so sweet of her. She even noticed the basil on the shelf was starting to go bad, and she went to the back and gave me a fresh batch from what they just received from their delivery. They had everything I needed and more I highly recommend this market.

Jaydalinh S.

Yelp
The food here is so good! I'm very surprised that they had options that I and my family enjoy. The service is great, food comes really fast and hot. The ladies here were very sweet and kind. This is a southeast asain market something rare here in Vegas. Brings me back to home. !! They also have a market here, many options to choose from snacks to spices to anything you need to cook a lao cuisine(Thai, etc.)

Jessica G.

Yelp
I'm home! Coming from LA it is REALLY hard to find Thai/Laotian flavors out here. So to find this little market in the heart of old vegas was amazing!!!! Limes leaves, galanga, lemongrass, they even have homemade nam prik, and other chili sauces. In the back there's a kitchen, where they prepare Kai palo, pork jerky, and other delicious dishes. I was able to find sauces I couldn't find anywhere in Vegas. Trust me, I looked. This place is heaven sent! I'll be doing all my Asian food shopping here!

Kevin G.

Yelp
Exactly what you need. It's a relief not having to go into China town to get some groceries and a hot meal at the same time.

Krystal K.

Yelp
I'm only try papaya salad .. they have a lot food.. Nam KhaoLao SausagesKhao Piek SenLao Sausages

Linda S.

Yelp
The papaya was flavorful with a crunch. The nam khao and pho was just ok. Nam khao didn't have the crunch, more towards soggy. They were very generous with the lettuce/herbs. The restaurant is located in the back inside of a grocery store. The ladies tending to us was super nice. I'd come back if I was in the neighborhood.

Nikkie W.

Yelp
This place a must stop. We always stop here to eat when we're in LV. The aunites are sweet and attentive.

Emily C.

Yelp
This place has good kaopiek if you're looking for some. They also have pre made food as well. The ladies in the restaurant are very sweet. The only downside is the store products are very pricey!

Anna T.

Yelp
I loved this place. All the food was delicious, I ordered larb, kaopiek, papaya salad and sticky rice. The service was great everyone was really nice. Food came out fast too. Highly recommend if you're looking for yummy Lao food!

Skylynne C.

Yelp
Very authentic Laos food. I have been twice now and have loved both times. I get the papaya salad, sticky rice, and some type of protein. The fried rice is good as well.

May V.

Yelp
Customer service a 5. Ladies were super sweet and accommodating due to my nut allergy. Larb and sausage was great. Lao papaya salad wasn't crabby/fishy enough. Curry was ok and needed more seasoning. Overall was a good meal.

Teri C.

Yelp
It was my first time at Lao Asia Market yesterday and we had an idea of what to expect. (We've been to another Laotian market in town, so we knew it would be part grocery store and part casual restaurant.) There is limited seating available and we were lucky we showed up at 11:00 on a Saturday because the tables filled up fast. This place is BUSY! And the food comes out so quickly! We had three adults and three kids in our party, and we opted to share our dishes. * Chicken Noodle Soup (Kao Piek Sen) $8 - The kids really enjoyed this one, especially the broth. They also add pork blood cubes in it. (They forgot ours, so I just had to remind them.) * Chicken Curry with Noodles - This wasn't listed on the posted menu, rather it's one of the dishes that you can see sitting out. It's more liquid-y than how one would expect a curry to be. I liked it, but it wasn't the most popular dish we had. They ran out of rice, so we had it with noodles instead. * Papaya Salad, Laos Style $6 - Laotian style papaya salad has anchovy sauce in it instead of fish sauce. It was very refreshing and just yummy! * Beef Larb, raw $12 - They asked us how we wanted our larb and we saw another post of it being raw, so we went that way. It was pretty good raw-style. It totally changes how you want to eat it. It comes with lettuce and cilantro to wrap it up in, which is just perfect. It's refreshing and bright having it as a raw dish rather than well-done. There's also tripe in there as well! * Nam Kao $10 - Another new dish I was unfamiliar with but figured we give it a go. It's ultimately deep-fried, fried rice, which gives the dish an amazing textural component. * Sticky Rice * Thai Iced Tea $2 - So yum! * Thai Iced Coffee $2 - Also so yum! Overall, it was a great lunch with leftovers. You can easily see us coming back and trying out their other dishes! 4.5 stars

Maii L.

Yelp
I was actually surprised how good the food was. Despite the facts that it's in a store. Lol. We come to Vegas once in a while and when we heard about this spot from a friend, we decided to try and it was delicious. The menu was simple. The kompiek was BOMB, the papaya was BOMB, the larb was BOMB. What can I say, everything was perfect.

Kattaleeya Y.

Yelp
Food was good pretty authentic and we got attentive service because we went there early. When it got too busy, there's no place to sit down even for a quick bites to eat

Anthony G.

Yelp
First time going and trying the hot food. I grabbed Lao Sausage, sticky rice and Papaya salad. Also grabbed some uncooked Lao sausage for later. Everything tasted so good! The ladies who helped me were very welcoming and friendly! Definitely be going back and recommend anyone looking for authentic home cooked Lao food! They also provide seating in house if your looking to dine in. Tables and entire store was very clean and organized.

Dan V.

Yelp
The papaya salad is number one in Vegas, in my opinion. It is super authentic. And the price you cannot beat. If you are from Houston Asian community, this is the place to get your Papaya Salad fixed.

Kasey L.

Yelp
Found this hidden gem inside a Laos market from a YouTuber. In the back of the store you see a deli corner which serves pho, Thai and Lao style papaya salads, and Beef Larb etc. One of the ladies saw us waiting for a spot and opened up a table just for us. Babe got pho and I got Thai style papaya salad with crab. The broth for his pho was very rich, and different from Vietnamese pho, they added fried garlic to the broth which added another layer of flavor to it. The beef slices were thick cut but still tender. For my papaya salad, I was expecting canned crab meat but it was actually marinated raw crab! To me the salad was a bit salty and the lady recommended me to order the Lao style next time. Served with the food were a lot of vegetables and herbs and 3 kinds of chili sauces they make in house. And sitting in the back of a market did make me feel like I were eating inside a store somewhere of SE Asia. It's a bit far from where we live, but babe said he would definitely come back if we are in the area again. It's actually a very high compliment from him

Phai O.

Yelp
Small grocery store that serves homemade lao food. Their menu consists of nam Khao (cold curry fried rice) , Khao piek sen (chicken Noodle soup), laap (larb) spicy minced meat salad, papaya salad and other items. Came here while in Vegas to get my Laotian food fix and it hit the spot. Food is authentic and they have homemade desserts for sale also. Prices were very reasonable for what you get. I will come here every time I visit and in fact I went 2 days in a row. I ordered the Khao piek, extra spicy lao style papaya salad, Nam Khao, sticky rice with lao sausage then grabbed an order of cassava cakes, sa koo (tapioca balls with filling) and egg custard with sweet purple sticky rice. The second day I had papaya salad beef jerky and laap. The ladies running the business and taking orders are very nice and took my order in laos haha. They have a few tables to sit down and dine in and the place and tables were nice and clean with tables being filled and constant people ordering to go and dining in (while I waited for my food) it was about 6 people ahead of me. You can grocery shop for all your authentic ingredients while waiting for yummy food. Please support local family own business, it helps a family or two stay afloat and trying to make it in today's society with inflation, on top of the food is yummy, authentic and homemade.

Maryann P.

Yelp
I LOVE THE FOOD HERE!!! The ladies are so nice and welcoming too!! This place is a must for me!! I always get papaya salad Laos style, at a 4-5 spice, got a 6 and it burned my tongue, but it was still good! But now I pay for the price of canker sores. Lol it's so authentic here. I love it we came twice because my cousin said one time wasn't enough. About 15 mins from from strip! They're awesome! My cousin got another dish too, but Texture was too mushy for me, but my cousin enjoyed it but she wanted to ask for more lime.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Food was okay it wasn't all that great. But the lady that served us was very nice and friendly. The place was clean and neat. It was kind of pricey for the food not being all that good. It wasn't just me another people on the other table was disappointed at the food also. I only came because people on tiktok said it was the place to go for good Lao food. I don't think I'll come back here again

Suzy K.

Yelp
You have to try the Kaow Piak noodle soup here. It is so satisfying and so much flavor! Delicious. I crave this soup if hungover or cold as hail outside. It's like the ultimate upgraded chicken noodle soup The food here in general is very good and there are tons of stuff to shop for if you like Laos food.

Jannie L.

Yelp
How have I not discovered this little gem?! My gawd!!!! I am Cambodian, and we have some similar flavor profiles and I love that this place is as authentic as it gets. I ordered the Lao style papaya salad (because this is a MUST HAVE!!) the innards soup, the noodle soup, beef larb, steam fish, and sticky rice. Now let me tell you... that papaya salad is DANK! Haha.. but my philosophy is the smellier the better. We added salted crab to it and it was to die for. I dipped my sticky rice into the sauce (favorite thing to do). Both soups were full of flavor! The noodles were handmade and super fresh tasting. Each dish was 10 out of 10! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. New favorite spot for sure! I just wished it was closer to my house. I journeyed a ways, but it was totally worth it.

TT T.

Yelp
Service and food was great! There are limited items here but what we had was really tasty and hit the spot!!! Talk about flavor explosion!!! We had the Lao Noodle soup (Khao piak), Lao Pho, naam Khao, Laarb beef, beef intestine soup, beef jerky with sticky rice. Portions were large and the ladies are super sweet. Our favorites were the noodle soups. Thai tea and coffee were also good. They also have a large selection of Lao/Thai desserts at checkout and in the fridge. WARNING: This is a hole in the wall place and not a restaurant so don't expect much. You can sit in but may need to share a table, disposable or plastic plates, etc. as per photos others have posted. The food is worth it!

Gianna G.

Yelp
authentic laos food!! reminds me of home. papaya tastes like the papaya from angel cruz park
