A tiny downtown spot with big flavors: boat noodles, laab, and papaya salad that pulls no punches. Spotlighted by WCVB’s Chronicle alongside a Lowell Greek icon, it reflects the city’s living immigrant foodways.

Authentic Thai & Lao Gem in Lowell While visiting family in Lowell, we stumbled upon this hidden gem, family run spot serving up authentic Thai and Lao cuisine. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Lana, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations from the menu and sharing some local favorites. The food came out quickly and every dish was packed with flavor, vibrant, and clearly made with care. We enjoyed it so much, we ended up coming back again before the end of our trip just to try more of what we missed the first time. If you're looking for traditional Southeast Asian flavors in a warm, down to earth setting, this place is a must visit.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this Lao–Thai restaurant! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and an inviting aroma that instantly makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends and family. The food is nothing short of amazing — bursting with authentic flavors and made with so much care. The Lao specialties are a delightful surprise, rich in herbs and spices, and perfectly balanced in taste. The Thai dishes are equally impressive, from the fresh and tangy papaya salad to the comforting, fragrant curries. Every bite tastes fresh, homemade, and full of love. Service is top-notch! The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to recommend their personal favorites. You can tell they genuinely care about your experience. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the quality is exceptional. If you’re craving bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a truly authentic Lao–Thai dining experience, this place is a must-visit. It’s the kind of restaurant you’ll want to return to again and again — and bring all your friends along!

Laos Thai Kitchen in downtown Lowell is an outstanding choice for the tastiest and spiciest of southeastern Asian cuisine you can handle; or not- you can have it anyway you wish. I just know that my face was melting, and it was awesome. Heat is typically measured here on a scale of 1 - 6, and I ordered my Boat Noodle Soup (which would still have been tasty delicious without) at level 4. They’ll go higher if you want, but you would probably need Lao blood in your system to deal with that. I also very much enjoyed the Sai Oua, aka Thai Sausage. Service is very friendly, and everything came to me in a timely manner. Very much recommended.

Google
Review for Laos Kitchen – 4.5/5 If you’re looking for authentic Thai food with bold, spicy flavors, Laos Thai Kitchen is a must-visit. The dishes here pack serious heat, so if you love spice, you won’t be disappointed! Their Drunken Noodles, spicy Boat Noodle soup, and spring rolls are bursting with flavor, and the chili sauces add an extra kick. Service is friendly and efficient, and the food comes out fresh and fast. The only reason I’m giving 4/5 for atmosphere is that the decor is pretty basic—functional but not particularly inviting. It’s more of a casual spot, great for a quick meal but not necessarily for a long, lingering dinner. Overall, if authentic Thai spice is what you crave, this place delivers! Just be ready for some serious heat.

I've been a loyal customer of Laos Thai Kitchen for a while and have always enjoyed their food. Unfortunately, my recent experience was disappointing. I ordered the Sai Oua (Thai sausage) to-go, and when I opened it, I found that it was uncooked and not safe to eat. This is completely unacceptable, especially after so many positive experiences. I hope this issue is addressed because I’ve always enjoyed their food but this kind of oversight can’t happen again.

I usually come here a lot with my family, we always have a good time, but today was different. I was served by a lady that I’ve never been served before, I wish I got her name because I don’t want to make the restaurant look bad. But I still wanted to call out the service of this particular staff member. I came in to order my usual, which was a spring roll, and right there and then she gave me attitude because I wasn’t specific. Then my mom wanted to order food and a drink, and she said she would be back, but instead went to go have a conversation with her friend and never came back for our order. We had to take the food to go instead for my mom, basically ignored us the whole time, but I still have a good tip nonetheless.

Stopped by en route to the airport and this place did not disappoint! Beef pho was delicious, not too sweet and not many spices that you’ll find at Vietnamese restaurants. The papaya salad was hand shredded, the original way and the seasoning was savory and spiced to your preference. Laab CH was delicious as well with generous herbs and roasted rice powder, just the way I like it! The sausage is good as well but would have been better with ginger and lemongrass ingredients too too. The bathroom looks like it was built for hobbits so watch your head as you head down there. Service was good and prompt, which I needed for the tight timeline we had to catch our flight. All in all, I highly recommend this place for its authentic and delicious menu!

Google
We were there for our wedding anniversary. Went based on the online reviews, and they weren’t wrong. The food was great. We started with the summer rolls and they were large and tasty. The sauce that came with them was a perfect match. (ate them too quickly - no picture) I had the drunken noodles Thai spicy with tofu, and it was exactly as advertised. The noodles were perfectly done and the spice had a kick. Our water was was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Authentic Laos/Thai cuisine that was so delicious. Service was just as good as the food, top notch. Interior was small (8-9 tables) but very clean. It was hopping when we got there at 3:00 PM on a weekend! I will definitely return during my next trip to Lowell!!!

Yelp
Service can be slow when it's a hole in the wall authentic restaurant. I've been to this place many times and the service is never great, although the food is good and authentic. This time the service was horrible and the owners were just plain rude! This is the last time for me and I would not suggest going here unless you want to be sitting around for a long time to order and our food was skipped over because the owners friends showed. My son didn't get his food and they didn't make 2 dishes because they were busy tending to their friends. While the owners friend's food came shortly after some of our dishes arrived. I could understand if they didn't get it in, but we cancelled a dish and was still charged for it. I had to ask them to remove it. Don't go here unless you have a lot of time to wait and be skipped over! I don't write reviews but this visit warrants one.

Yelp
Have had this place so many times, it's always a good spot for my siblings and I to go to. The workers here are nice and helpful. We sometimes bring my nephew who can be quite loud but it's never an issue as the restaurant is definitely one that you can be comfortable in, there's always people eating lunch and having a good time. The environment definitely feels like a casual Asian restaurant. One thing we stand by the chicken feet. It is a must eat every time, it's crispy and juicy with a good amount of spice although I am good at spice, my sister does need breaks inbetween to handle it. As an appetizer, it does take a little longer for them to make but it's worth it. Other appetizers they have are thai sausage, this is very juicy and oily. The flavor is nice but the sauce didn't add much to it due to how fatty it is. The spicy chicken wings here are also good you can never go wrong with chicken wings. I've only had the tom yum shrimp for soup, it had a good tom yum flavor but more on the small side for being $7 but enjoyable. For the papaya salad it's pretty spicy and has a lot of juice although sometimes the papaya itself has a sweetness to it. So think of having ur mouth on fire while having a ting of sweetness. I do wish it was a little more sour and less fishy but they usually provide a lime on the side to balance. The beef laab here is delicious, this has a stronger flavor and is more sour but the ratio for the cilantro/veggies to beef is a little more than I wish it was. The drunken noodles here were decent nothing special to order. For the curry soups they are more on the soupy side meaning it's pretty watery not thick at all, only have tried the red and green flavor though. Most of the dishes you're able to choose a level of spice and so if you can't handle it you can't get "Wimpy" level . They don't take Amex here but Discover is taken. Would recommend for lunch with some friends to share dishes with!

Yelp
Lowell makes me hungry. Honestly, just hearing the word "Lowell" now just makes me drool. Lowell has Pavloved me. Laos Thai Kitchen is simple, unassuming, but definitely not run down. There's a organization to it that makes it pretty clear the owners care about the place. Which is always a good sign for the food. The menu is very interesting - it has your standard Pad Thai, spring rolls, assorted rices, fried. But do you even know who you're reading here? I come for the noodle soups, brother. I had the Khao Poon, which sounded like everything I like but I've never tried. I asked about the spice level, and they said usually it's not spicy, just a level 1. A bit disappointed, I asked for maybe some spice on the side. I tell you, I did not even look at that spice on the side. Level 1 was no joke - definitely not too much but plenty hot for my ashkenazi taste buds. Note - there are 5 spice levels. I imagine level five the bowl is actually on fire. The soup itself was kind of this curry base, which was super flavorful, though more of a slow sip than a slurp like pho. There were all kinds of random meats and veggies thrown in there, which made every bite a kind of adventure. Next time I'm bringing friends. There's at least five soups I didn't get to try.

Yelp
If I'm too lazy to drive to Dracut to eat at Lanxang, I drive to Laos Thai Kitchen to eat Lao style papaya salad. We got a bunch of food because we are hungry hungry hippos (6 of us). We got crab Rangoon, chicken wings, tapioca balls, papaya salad (3 star spice), crispy ladna, Lao sausages, and something else I forgot. We would've ordered more but there was no more room on the table LOL. The sausages were nice and sweet and savory, the crab Rangoon was cheesy and sweet, the thum makhong was spicy and good. Loveddddd the tapioca balls because they were piping hot so it just melted in my mouth and tastes so good with the dipping sauce. Definitely come here for Lao food.

Yelp
New favorite pho spot--and yes, the drive to Lowell is 1000% worth it. Menu has plenty of food options while keeping it classic and simple. Only two options for pho--chicken pho and beef meatball pho. I have been told the beef meatball pho is the reason to come here. I will have to try it next time--my friend got it and I tried the broth and can definitely say it had that old-school taste that I've been longing for in beef pho broths and can't find anymore. Salt and pepper fried chicken feet were so crunchy and bomb; perfect snack to go with a beer. Oh, and this place is BYOB! What's not to love?

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere with friendly service. The combination of the papaya salad, chicken wings, and sticky rice showcased the restaurant's ability to deliver authentic Lao Thai flavors. My favorite was the Pad Thai. Just the right amount of sweetness. I love that they had fried garlic and chili oil available at the table. Thanks again for a wonderful meal!

Yelp
I was visiting a friend who lives about 20 minutes away, and we came here for dinner. They have a lot of vegetarian options which was a plus for me. I really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice And having so many vegetarian options. I think the owners were in there, enjoying some dinner as well and they thanked us for coming by it was a good experience.

Yelp
The best Thai food I've had. So so incredible and i have a high bar. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The music was an 11 out of 10. Service was amazing. Such reasonable pricing -

Yelp
Amazing food! I would go weekly. Their chicken wings, Thai tea, and papaya salad are so good!! Close to downtown and the liquor store

Yelp
I used to go here all the time many years ago but have replaced them with Lanxang Star in Dracut. Today I went back to give them another try...What a mistake and a waste of money! Quality of ingredients and taste has declined so much since they opened. The waitress was annoyed when I asked for bean sprouts and lime for my khao-piek....I shouldn't even have to ask for it! It's horrible when waitresses act like this and then expect a 20% tip. What kind of parallel universe have I just arrived in? It's important to sit and think about the concept of money being a form of energy.

Yelp
We are from Houston and really love our Thai food there. This place was amazing! We really enjoyed our experience! Food was great! I felt like the pricing for what you get was perfect.

Yelp
What a great alternative to Lanxang and Thantawan. Food was good. Ordered Nam Kao and Drunken Noodles. Good but disappointingly NOT spicy, even though we ordered 6 peppers out of 6. Thai spicy is supposedly 4 peppers. Next time I'll need to ask differently. They must have said "oh yeah, he's a white guy he doesn't eat spicy. He said 6 peppers, let's give him 1". No "customer service fee", no "takeout fee", no "we hate you coming here to give us your money" fee, unlike Pho Dalat, Pho 88 and others recently.... Street metered parking only. Bleh... But free after 6pm, free on Sundays.

Yelp
Fiyaaaaahhhh. FINALLY. Some authentic Thai and Lao food. It has been a while since I've scored on some really good Southeast Asian cooking. I was In Massachusetts a year ago and could not find this level of quality in food. But, my fam who all lives there refused to leave me disappointed so they coordinated a dinner here the day I arrived. Our party of 7 ordered the following: * Chicken Wings * Papaya Salad * Tom Yum Soup * Sticky Rice and Jasmine Rice * Tilapia * Chicken Larb * Crab Rangoon Since our group was larger, we ordered 2 or 3 of everything and it was SO good. I absolutely fell in love with the papaya salad and chicken wings. There is a spicy tomato dipping sauce (jeow) that you can ask for and it makes all the difference in the world when eating chicken or fish. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and our group enjoyed every bite over good conversation. I even went back two more times after that dinner for takeout. I'm a lifelong fan! I'll be back in Lowell again and this will be the first stop I make once I'm back in town. For locals, y'all already know about this place. Their reputation already speaks for itself. For visitors and those passing through, this is a must stop. You won't be disappointed! Enjoy the photos attached to this review.

Yelp
What a find this place was! Purely by accident because parking was a bear, we took the first place we could find and the rest was culinary bliss history as we landed on their front door step searching for a different restaurant. From the Tom Yum to the Penang curry, each item was prepared beautifully with lots of fresh vegetables; deep full flavors with just the right amount of heat in each dish. This restaurant only has about 25 seats; is frequented mostly by the local Asian community and as you might expect is quite busy for good reason. Don't miss this little hidden restaurant gem!!!

Yelp
The food was delicious! If you want authentic Laos food, this is the place to go. Becareful on the spice level, medium is pretty spicy in my opinion. Overall food was great!

Yelp
Six four-tops and two six-tops in a small space, but not cramped. One server on a weekend lunch means occasional waits, but everything gets tended to in a low key manner. Chicken Larb: A warm chicken salad with finely minced chicken as well as chunks, in a zippy condiment. About the chunks: many of them are from the innards of the chicken, but fear not: it adds tons of deep chicken flavor that stands up to the tartness of the lime and the heat of the peppers (integrated as small slices as well as whole ones for garnish or additional usage). Herbs to lighten things up a bit--again, more balance. Probably the best larb dish around. Drunken Noodles: Have you ever had a noodle dish and thought to yourself, "There are way too many noodles and not enough of the good stuff on top"? If so, have I got a noodle dish for you. Here, it's the other way around: you'll have trouble finding the noodles, which are thick and overly soft, but it's loaded with vegetables, and many kinds. Much as the stuff-to-noodle ratio is way higher than most, the sweetness-to-spiciness is a little high too. Though there's plenty of both--which makes this a good dish for those who are tentative about trying Thai food for the first time. Pad See Ew: Another noodle dish, also with a very high stuff-to-noodle ratio and very soft noodles. Sweetness and spice both way down from the Drunken Noodles, with more of an oyster sauce feel. Bell peppers led the charge, followed by broccoli and pea pods.

Yelp
Lao De Cafe closed down so I walked a little further from my hotel to come here based on the reviews and menu! I actually ended up coming here again because it was that good! Larb gai - I ordered it "hot" - oh my god I thought I was gonna die. It was addicting though, so I saved half and ate it another day! It only comes with a side of lettuce and some cucumber and happily I ordered some sticky rice in the event it was too hot. The gai also had chopped bits of liver I think- really delicious and different than the standard ground chicken. Great flavor, a bit on the salty side. Order some rice to soak up the sauce and spice! Boat noodles - I was really planning on ordering something else. The menu didn't make it sound very special and the reviews were very generic ("so good!"), but since I saw it was mentioned a few times, I decided to go for it. Wow, was I impressed! It is a rich spicy rice noodle soup - bun bo hue is the closest dish I can think of but still very different. The soup is very savory, rich, spicy, but also has a bit of tang. There were peppers, fried shallot, and garlic floating around in it. It also came with beef balls and sliced beef as well as bean sprouts, gai lan, and some herbs. It was perfect for a cold and windy day. On this day, I didn't specify heat at all. The normal still packs a ton of heat! My nose was running as I was eating! Fried chicken feet - I decided to go for it after seeing photos- it really is an addictive dish of fried chicken feet topped with garlic, shallots, jalapeño. The sauce is primarily fish sauce I think. This would be a great bar snack. For those who aren't familiar with chicken feet, there's not a lot of meat. In dim sum dishes it's braised so the bones fall off the bone, but when it's fried, it's still pretty tough. This is a crispy snack to gnaw on and spit out the bones. Delicious flavor- salty and garlicky. Not too spicy (didn't specify) but still had a little bit of heat. I wish I was local to Lowell so I could keep eating here!! While I was eating here, some gwei los ordered food but asked for no fish sauce! They were able to accommodate but please don't do this! Fish sauce is such an integral part of southeastern Asian cuisine and adds umami and flavor like nothing else. This is a wonderful authentic place - have faith and enjoy.

Yelp
I go here all the time with my friends and family and would travel 40 mins from Boston... went there today and unfortunately will never return back... the prices on the menu are no longer affordable... it's ridiculously expensive!! I asked the waitress for extra sauce and she said she would have to charge me!! Wtf! She wasn't friendly either, bitch resting face for no reason... yes you! The girl that works on Sunday.. food was good but for the price not worth the trip from Boston... maybe if they hire a nice friendly server it would probably make up for the price... I will try other places in Lowell

Yelp
Fresh meals. They like it spicy hot, but will cut back if asked. Perfect lunch portions.

Yelp
We ordered some takeout during the last snow storm and we all agreed it was terrific! The crispy egg rolls were sooo good, definitely crispy and delicious, and the sauce that accompanied them was amazing. We also got the fresh spring rolls which were also perfect. We've had many other dishes from here and they were all great. Plus the staff is very helpful and welcoming. You should really give this place a try!

Yelp
Heard about this place through an instagram story and was in the area. Ordered the Drunken Noodles lunch special for $9.95 (which has increased in price but their menus even in the restaurant don't reflect that). It's a small space inside. The wait was very long even though there weren't that many customers. Probably 15-20 minutes. The first bad part was that I had my order taken to-go and they didn't close the plastic lid all the way tight so the sauce spilled inside the plastic bag. Then I noticed the container was very light upon picking it up. I opened the lid back in my car and saw it was extremely soupy for a stir-fried noodle dish that I'm very familiar with. It was very spicy and sour, not like how Drunken Noodles is typically seasoned. There were only a few "chunks" (quite literally layers stuck together ) of the flat rice noodles at the bottom with mostly veggies on top and what looked like thin slices of previously frozen chicken breast. It didn't even come with rice (considering how much liquid there was you could have called it a red curry dish). And there was a sole small piece of crab rangoon on the other empty half of the takeout container. The flavors were ok, but definitely not your typical expectation of Drunken Noodles. It is also not worth the price for half of a container's worth.

Yelp
Want to try authentic Laos food? This place is amazing. I can see why the place is so busy with people waiting in line for a table. Because the food was so good , we even had our wonderful waitress , she was sensational, place more food to go. We had the incredible larb Gai ( Chicken) with a 6 Stars ( it was SPICY like we want it), the phenomenal "Laos Style" papaya salad , 6 Stars, with the perfect amount of seasoning including the presentation, and the mind blowing Lad Nah which includes everything you can imagine. Lastly , ask for the Thai Ice tea . It's been weeks and I'm craving for it. Overall, don't take my word for it, just try it.And believe me , this place is fantastic.

Diasporos D.

Yelp
The soul in this restaurant is in the food, the service, and the people in the kitchen. The menu features many authentic potent and delicious dishes from Laos. Great appetizers! Must try the eggrolls and the tapioca ball wraps.

Yelp
The food is really really good, the service is very poor, the servers is rude, not a friendly person at all. The place is cold inside. I'll give this place a 3 stars out of 5 stars. If you don't want people from other races in your restaurant, please put a sign outside.

Yelp
Food was amazing, boathouse noodle soup, fried dumplings, shrimp pineapple rice. The service was great.

Amazing massaman curry. Flavors are excellent. Sauces very tasty. Enjoyed the satay as well as yellow curry. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I ordered 5 party trays from them on nye for my mom's bday. I went to get it at 2, as scheduled, but Some of the trays weren't all completed (just 2), but they were very apologetic. I also noticed they had many orders they were also completing. I didn't mind, as I notice everything is freshly made, so it made waiting worth it. The fried chicken was just finishing up and the smell of it was so good. They packed everything very neatly and took time to make sure we were happy with everything. We got fried chicken, nam khao, Chicken laab, papaya salad, and fried rice. Each dish was really good. My mom, who is also a chef, loved every dish. The best part was we had so much left over to eat again the next days! I loved the service here and having the pricing for party trays up front was very helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Yelp
Authentic Lao Food right in the heart of CamboTown. Must try the Nam Khao Level 4 and Calamari. I try to go there every time I am back in town. Service is good, may take some time for the food but you know the food is made fresh!! Priced reasonably. And their crispy garlic side is TOO DIE for!! I will put that stuff on everything!!

Yelp
I wanted to love this place based on the high reviews but unfortunately it fell short based on our preferences with more misses than hits. We got the following items to try so maybe other dishes are better. Crab Rangoon (3/5) -it was good - definitely a bit different than the typical and XTRA crispy. Pineapple Fried Rice (3.5/5) - it was good curry flavor and a bit peppery - we enjoyed this dish. Papaya Salad (2/5) - we asked for level 4 spicy and asked if they could do it without the fermented shrimp paste but they Chef could not accommodate. We tried it anyways and although it wasn't as pungent/fishy as we expected, it was WAY too salty for our taste. No sour, no sweetness, just salty/spicy. Crying Tiger (0/5) - we saw this on the menu and unfortunately this was NOT what we had expected at all. We asked for the steak to be medium rare, it came out well done and the steak was chewier than leather. We took a few bites and called it quits. Grapow Gai (4/5) - this dish was the only one that I would probably reorder and recommend. The flavors were good, came with a fried egg on top over rice.

Yelp
I'm from Thailand and lived 2 hours away from Lao. This place is awesome. I love Kanom Jeep the most. Be careful of the spicy level. Their chilies are very strong Kanom jeep is a must try!

Lieba G.

Yelp
This food is phenomenal!! Truly flavorful, homemade to order, crisp greens, colorful veg, the tapioca balls you wrap in crisp lettuce and bright herbs is a carnival for your mouth! The sausages have the perfect caramelized sear. The duck buns are tasty. We have tried tons of the menu and have loved every bite. Really. Complaints are that service seems stressed and stretched and take-out time is alllways underestimated because they focus on in store diners..

Yelp
Ordered last min for 3 party trays and the restaurant was able to accommodate. The Beef Larb, Seafood Noodles and Papaya Salad were delicious. Thank you!

Yelp
I've had food from here a couple of times. The food is great. For takeout, I've tried: lahp chicken, nam khao, tapioca balls, fried chicken feet (only have it fresh, otherwise, you'd break your teeth trying to bite through.) As for dine in, I finally tried the infamous boat noodles. This is the second time I've ever had boat noodles. Compared to another restaurant, the flavors were significantly different, I guess I'm not too sure how it's actually supposed to taste. I know everyone has their own way, but shouldn't they be somewhat similar? Anyway, the Thai boat noodles was rich, savory, sour and had a enough noodles and protein to fill me right up. My husband has the khao poon gai (chicken), he said he enjoyed it and would return for it on a nice cool day. Atmosphere: meh... the half painted walls could use another coat or two. Seemed as if they rushed opening the restaurant. The menus were icky. Yes, icky, I think of little children's sticky icky fingers all over them when the waitress handed me the menu. They should probably take a week to spruce up the place and order new menus with new prices bc it wasn't up to date. I even saw a customer complain to the waitress about the prices and she responded "everything is expensive now you know". Finally, from ordering our food to being served, took 15 mins. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Maybe 5 mins later another couple walked in. I also saw 2 people there for takeout orders. I'm thinking there was only one person in the back cooking.

Yelp
There are many Asian restaurants in the area, but we decided to try Laos Thai and we were not disappointed. The Tom Kha soup was delicious - such a flavorful broth! The freshness of the vegetables was apparent by their crispness, despite being served super hot out of the wok. Good portions, and I appreciate a Thai restaurant when "spicy" actually means spicy - the drunken noodles were packed with heat! It appears to mostly be a takeout restaurant, but there are at least 6 no-frills tables for dining in.

Chris L.

Yelp
Boat noodle broth luke warm and too salty. The noodle was hot (assume just boiled), but not enough to balance out the luke warm broth. I had this dish at Cha Yen Thai in Watertown, which was far superior. Service so so. The young lady did not seem to care much about friendliness. Yelp
Very big shining 5 stars. If you like authentic Laos food, try here and order tons! Me and my husband randomly decided to get lunch and ended up here. So happy he chose it! I couldn't decide what I wanted and we got the dishes to try and planned to be back ASAP. We got beef jerky to share, it was perfect. Sweet and served w sauce that enhanced the flavors. I literally went back and fourth and ended up ordering the pineapple fried rice & Thai basil tofu stir fry while my husband got the crying tiger. We ARE PLEASED! The tofu, my lord was perfectly cooked and the rice and stir fry so flavorful, I want more now. My husbands crying tiger was a little over cooked but he didn't care, the meat wasn't dried out and the sauce was just the right amount of spice. I got the mango sticky rice to go, can't wait to eat that soon' Try them, enjoy! Get too much and appreciate the flavors.

Yelp
I ordered the larb seen (beef), Tom yum seafood soup, and papaya salad. I typically go to Lanxang star in Dracut but decided to give these guys a try. The larb seen beef portion was very tiny. The cabbage/lettuce took up 2/3 of the box. Typically the cabbage/ lettuce are packaged separately. Let's not be cheap on our portions here!! The Tom Yum soup was abnormally sweet and consisted of 1 measly, dry piece of squid, 1 mushroom sliced in half, 2 shrimp and some cherry tomatoes. The seafood did not taste fresh. Again, you guys just opened, shouldn't you try to impress your customers with fresh ingredients?! The papaya salad was okay. Had a fresh taste like I'm used to.

Yelp
So happy to see another Laotian restaurant open up! We got the Fried Chicken (not spicy) + sticky rice & my 2 year old daughter inhaled these. Chicken was nice & crunchy.. juuust the way we like it. The little pork belly baos were really good. These were also inhaled. For our entrees we got Pad See Ew with Pork.. it was SO BOMB! The noodles were perfectly soft, egg nicely cooked in, lots of crunchy chinese broccoli & carrots (not overcooked or undercooked), & a huge portion! We also ordered the Grapow Gai & it was so comforting. Another huge portion of ground chicken & veggies served with white rice. The crispy fried egg was damn delicious, although I loved it so much I might have to add an extra egg next time :) Service was very friendly! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Food was hands down amazing. We ordered the fried dalimari, papaya salad, boat noodles and chicken larb. Everything was perfect and the spice was definitely there but in a good way. Service was good though I think it did get a tad bit busy at one point and the one girl working was a bit overwhelmed by it. Ambiance was your typical Asian restaurant, very laid back and everyone was there to enjoy the yummy food! I highly recommend for anyone wanting Laos or Thai food!

Yelp
We love these kind of counter service Asian establishments, it reminds us of the amazing strip mall restaurants in Los Angeles. My boyfriend and I visited Laos Thai Kitchen on a Lao food tour of Lowell so we were not extremely hungry but wished to try at least a couple of dishes. We ended up ordering the Lao jerky and the Nam Khao. The jerky came out first as an appetizer. It looked like it had been cut into smaller strips, fried, and tossed in a red pepper sauce. I'd only had it served in bigger strips so this was a treat. The jerk was a bit crispy, a bit chewy, and a bit spicy. We both really enjoyed it. A big plate of Nam Khao came out next, with a side of lettuce and herbs. I took a few bites and noted that it wasn't too spicy but then the server patiently told us that we can nibble on the fried chilis before bites to add heat, which is the authentic way to eat it. I've had Nam Khao at a few different places over the years and haven't been told that so was excited to learn something new. The salad was a delicious mix of toasted spiced rice with the fermented sausage and tripe. It's my favorite salad in the world and I love adding a bunch of herbs to the dish to brighten it up. The portion was so generous that we still took some to go but we will be back for more. When we went in, the restaurant was pretty busy so it's obviously very popular. There was only one woman serving but she was very friendly and patient with everyone. I was ready to order so many more dishes but we had no room for it. We can't wait to come back to try the tapioca balls and their version of Lao sausage.

Yelp
The Laos Thai Kitchen does not disappoint. I've been here a number of times and that says a lot when I live over an hour and 20 minutes away. I stop here whenever I am visiting my dad who lives close by. I alway order a few different entrees for dine in and then order a few entrees to take home. I recommend this restaurant for those who are looking for authentic Lao/Thai meals.

Yelp
Literally obsessed with this Laos and Thai food restaurant. It has the best authentic taste, like a real grandma cooking it. I also really like the platain chips they sell for cheap.

Yelp
Just moved to Lowell and my friend took me here. Definitely will be back. Our waitress was a lady with a tattoo on her neck, she was so good and attentive. Food was brought out fast. Super delicious and authentic. Tried Thai tea for the first time and loved it.

Yelp
Well, the food is good. But everything else is terrible, especially the old female owner. No management, no customer care. Waited 35-40 mins on a regular Saturday afternoon around 5:00 pm, and no food at all! They don't care if you are happy or not, but they will ask for tips, OMG. Anyway, the food is good, but it cannot help the owner survive in the restaurant competition.

Yelp
Amazing food for the price and a good service experience. No frills decoration meant the food was the focus.
