Where to Drink in Las Vegas Right Now — March 2025

"Inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s Lapa district, the Lapa Lounge at the Rio leans into a tropical vibe with both colorful furnishings and colorful cocktails. Sip the Monkey Business with aged rum and caramelized banana, the Hombres’ Heaven with mezcal, sweet coconut, and watermelon, or a traditional Penicillin jazzed up with a smoky bourbon." - Janna Karel

We had a lovely evening with friends here. The service is good, the cocktails are fantastic. They aren't cheap on the liquor. Just a casual comfortable place to hang out and chat. They also had live music while we were there which was a nice touch.

Nice bar in the center of the casino! Has a tiki theme. Great craft cocktails polite bartenders. No comp on the good drinks even if you play. Love music is a bit loud even on the far side of the bar.

Google
Great service and drinks well done 👍🏻 my favorite part of this spot is the atmosphere and decor. It gives old school tropical Vegas vibes. I also appreciate the seating situation because you have the option to sit on cushioned seats/booths on the perimeter of lounge or sit at the bar. Cool, chill vibes 👍🏻 I look forward to going again and trying items from the cocktail menu.

Absolutely the funnest bar in the hotel. Generous pores and cool funny bartenders. Drink costs were very reasonable almost normal compared to the rip-off casino prices on the strip. My wife really loved the place, although I think she was smitten with the bartenders 😍

If you want top-notch pours from top-notch dudes, go no further than Lapa Lounge at the Rio. Tracy, Pepe, Steve, Chad and the boys made my week! Not only are they the best barkeeps in town, they are damn good therapists too! Word to the wise: Ask Tracy to make you a Rusty Nail! Love you guys and will see you next time!

Good, balanced drinks, in the $15-18 range for specialty. Nice bartender. Not a bad spot to chill while you're waiting for a show. My only complaint is that a guy in our party ordered a smoked whiskey drink that didn't get smoked. The mezcal gave it a smoky taste, but we wanted to see the entire process.

Terrible cocktail Seems like a high-end cocktail bar. Ordered an Old Fashioned with Bullet Rye. Nice ice cube. Bartender muddled an orange wedge and maraschino cherries. ??? Bittersweet. Simple syrup. Added a spray of club soda at the end. ??? What a waste. Super nice guys. Order a draft beer.

Yelp
WOW! It's been a minute since I've been to the Rio and explored. And we were here for a show and ended up checking out this place after a bartender told us to on property after the show ended. And I'm so glad we did! This is such a cool bar on property at the Rio. It's a very Brazilian vibe in here and just so cool. The lounge seating is absolutely beautiful. I just got a gin and tonic, but next time I come back here, definitely grabbing one of their tropical cocktails which looked so good. There was live entertainment when we were here, too. Such a cool spot. Would definitely come back here again!

Yelp
A new development on our last visit was the new Lapa Lounge Bar. A large round bar between the casino floor and the front doors. Adhering to the Brazil vibe, it has a gold jaguar climbing the bar and a very chique vibe with pops of gold and patterned seat upholstery. And it's a perfectly convenient stop for a drink when meeting others in the lobby to leave for dinner. Bartender Christian is as friendly as all the staff at the Rio and took great care of us. The cocktail game is real and we had some excellent, beautiful drinks. There was a live singer some nights. (Lapa & Luckley's have happy hours a few days a week) Also, I don't know how often this happens, but while in the casino we were given a buy one get one coupon for drinks here! But be sure to tip on your total before the discount ;)

Yelp
This bar is located inside the Rio hotel, and of course it's in the casino area. They offer beer on tap and they have IPA which is always my first choice. The bartender is nice and not lazy because he was serving three of us at the same. This was Rodeo week and they had a woman singing country music. Great service and the prices are not cheap like they used to be.

Yelp
Cute spot newly renovated but the cocktail (cocomut one) was extremely sweet. I had to get a glass of tequila from the casino floor to balance it out.

Yelp
Great exotic drinks. Would of given 5 stars but the lighter/torch for my Smokey Penicillin wasn't working so no smoke otherwise great drink.

Yelp
We just stayed at the Rio last weekend and liked you bar so much we just kept coming back multiple times each day. It has a cool vibe and the crew who worked there were all great. We especially had a great time with Tracy, he was so fun and friendly and made our time there great.

Yelp
I give this place 5/5!! Our server, Joselito, was awesome!! Drinks are strong, my husband ordered the Tiki tango, which was good, and you keep the cup for souvenir. Joseliro gave us some bar treats which were so tasty, nice and salty. Ambiance is cool, have good music playing. Smells like cigarette but that's entire casino. I'd come back. We actually came here, and Joselito was not working. The service was not the same. Shot out to Joselito!!

Yelp
Brand new, remodeled bar at the entrance to hotel in the middle of casino. It was an elevated bar originally, and they made it level now and enlarged it. The new drinks are great and varied for different tastes. They even offered a few special drinks for the Star Trek convention. The most unique drink is the Smokey Penicillin made with bourbon and infused with smoke by a unique process. Friendly servers and our new friend, Princess, is a delightful person, happy and friendly and she made us feel so welcome. We will be back because of her!

Yelp
The bar was newly renovated. Laid back and clean. Bartenders were personal and ready to serve. I'm a whiskey drinker and they had a variety of whiskeys to consume. What truly stood out was the amazing personality of "Princess". She was my server and she was so attentive to details that I simply smiled in her presence. She is the reason why I would stay at the Rio!!!!

Yelp
The coffee is over the top delicious! The service is amazing. The shop is spotless. was looking for a good coffee shop on New Years day, and everything was closed except this wonderful gem that I stumbled upon! Reno, the owner was there in great spirits and ready to make me the most delicious pistachio coffee! It was smooth and not too sweet...just the way I like it! He was also making a great show of his cooked-in-the-sand, authentic Turkish coffee! Wow.. everyone was raving about it! If you are looking for a unique coffee experience, look no further! This place is spotlessly clean and super friendly and dont miss out on trying the global roti buns, a real treat indeed!

Yelp
A beautiful renovation! A HUGE shout out to the amazing Bartenders! James, Steve, and Gino made the evenings we spent there SO much fun! Love playing the Black Jack machines at the bar and enjoying delicious cocktails!
