"Larb Thai Food and Tapas in El Cerrito serves, of course, larb as it name implies, and has a wondrous variety of their signature dish, with protein options like pork and liver, beef and tripe, and even vegetarian options like crispy tofu or mushrooms. My favorite, though, is the duck larb." - Eater Staff

"This northeastern Thai restaurant in El Cerrito is open for takeout for both lunch and dinner (with only the dinner menu available on weekends). Apart from the assorted meat skewers (which comprise most of the “tapas” side of the menu, the focus here is on Isaan dishes, especially the larbs (bright, spicy meat salads) that give the restaurant its name. For the most bang for your buck, go for any of Larb Thai’s excellent noodle dishes — including an uncommonly delicious, liver-intensive rendition of Thai boat noodles — for just a shade over $10. For curbside pickup, call 510-524-8988 upon arrival." - Luke Tsai

"This El Cerrito restaurant specializes in the cuisine of northeastern Thailand’s Isaan region, but it does a bang-up job with a whole range of Thai comfort food dishes. Google
5 Stars – Our Go-To Thai Spot! We’ve been to Larb Thai Food & Tapas many times, and it never disappoints. We’ve tried a wide variety of dishes—from the perfectly balanced larb to the fresh and flavorful papaya salad noodle rice and more dishes—and everything has been consistently delicious. The flavors are bold and authentic, and the quality is top-notch every time. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. This place is a gem, and we’ll definitely keep coming back!

First time going here today. It wasn't busy at all, barely anyone inside. We went to celebrate my mom's birthday. The food was delicious. I had the Thai fried rice with shrimp and it was very tasty and my mom had one of the Curry dishes. I would definitely go back here to this restaurant again.

Google
The Food, The Service, The Atmosphere all 5 🌟. This place is amazing with a great vibe. We went there for lunch and enjoyed our time there. The place gives a old school vibe. Love all the posters and artifacts. We ordered pork over rice and it was soo good 😋 😋. The pork was tender and juicy perfect with warm and fluffy rice. The chicken soup was hearty and flavorful. We also tried the chicken and pork skewers which was perfectly grilled and complemented the beer. My belly was real happy after this meal. The service was nice and we felt very comfortable. Would definitely recommend 👌 💯......check em out yoo 🔥

Great small Thai food place. It was clean and quiet. The server was beyond friendly. Lots of options and the food was great.

Google
Absolutely love this place. Outstanding food. Tons of vegetarian options that are delicious and the meat stuff is also amazing. The best Larb I've had since I was in thailand. Service is excellent and the decor is hip and funky which made me more comfortable eating with my hands and devouring everything. Will come back to this place over and over. Price points also good.

Google
The food and service were impeccable. Some of the best Thai food I've had since my days living in Thailand. We got the crispy tofu larb, khao soi chicken (curry broth was divine), dry Tom yum noodle with tofu and a Thai iced tea that was oh-so creamy (and not too sweet!). Plenty of vegetarian options. Our server clarified dietary restrictions carefully to customize the dish for us. The portion were extremely generous for the price. Will definitely be back again.

Google
The green curry surpassed expectations, offering a burst of delicious flavors, and the eggplant was a standout with its perfect preparation. The white rice was just that, white rice, nothing spectacular While the Thai tea was enjoyable, a touch more sweetness could enhance the overall experience. The restaurant captivates with its beautiful and cozy ambiance, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I see where they were going with the posters but maybe should be bigger to fit better with the overall style. Additionally, attentive service and a diverse menu contribute to making this a memorable dining destination.

Had a good lunch here! The food tasted good, but it was just standard for me.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in El Cerrito because of all the vegetarian options! And there are SO MANY. There are a lot of thai/lao restaurants in the area that aren't able to make a vegetarian nam khao, but they can here!! Nam Khao is definitely a must order. Crispy, different textures and flavors that tingle your tastebuds. The mushroom larb was also really delicious, I was surprised they used white fungus so it provided a really nice crunchy bite. The dry tom yum noodles are a bit on the sweet side, so if that's what you like, give it a try! My only warning is be careful of their spice level! I ordered medium and was crying, questioning my life choices. The servers are always friendly and the dining room is spacious with plenty of tables.

Yelp
A friend of mine recommended this place as he's heard good things and the reviews were promising. They did not disappoint! It's a comfy place & service was friendly and attentive. We ordered quite a number of items because we wanted to try everything. Appetizers: Deep Fried Tofu & Fried Cylinders Rolls Entrees (to share): Larb Chicken, Drunken Noodles, Half Lemongrass chicken Drinks: Thai Arnold Palmer, Thai Hibiscus Juice Side: Hot & Sour Prawn soup (medium spice), cup of rice We enjoyed it all! It was the perfect amount for 3 people. Thought we over ordered, but guess we were hungry. LOL

Yelp
LOVE this place my gf and I's favorite Lao food. I had the pumpkin curry, fried tofu, chicken laarb, Khao Soi, and pad see ew/pad Thai. Some of the best curry is here and I love how big the fried tofu appetizer is. Khao soi here is a MUST and the tom yum fried noodles were unique and tasty. I hope this place never leaves

Lea S.

Yelp
Extremely tasty and varied menu! I love the "tapas" aspect of this restaurant with smaller shareable skewers and small plates which sets it apart from other Thai restaurants. They also have the typical noodle dishes like pad Thai or my favorite pad see ew, soup/noodle soup, various larb and salad dishes, and "traditional plates" like various curries and stir fry's. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient. They have a cute interior and is family friendly with lots of high chairs, when we came for lunch my infant son was one amongst many small children in the restaurant, which is not for everyone but great for us!

Yelp
Larb has Almost everything I like in a dining establishment. When you are seated you feel pleasantly like "No way Broheim, this is El Cerrito?" Nice mood music playing, prompt service, everything looks clean. Wood accents around what looks like corrugated walls are elegant and simple at the same time. Unfortunately "Almost" is the key word today. The food was a bit of a miss. The Chef's special Crab Fried Rice looks on the website like it has a decent portion of crab. Nope. Though it was tasty, I found one modest piece of crab that I gave to my wife. Those chunks of "meat" you see on the Larb website are mostly bits of egg and clumps of rice. You also need to ask for that wedge of lime in the picture if you want it. Like condiments? There are no condiments on the tables. We were not the only table that had to ask for them while we were there. Pro Tip: The one restroom was clean and well stocked but ask staff for the access code before you go. The fish larb was also flavorful but it looks a bit threadbare compared to the robust looking picture of Fish Larb on the website. Camera angles and distances can make food hard to judge. So though Larb is conveniently close for us, we may try the Vietnamese Banh Mi place next door to it next time.

Yelp
I was confined to my caregivers' home where I snuck out for Thai food. A mom and pop Thai restaurant. A pleasant wait person led me to an isolated table. After a long absence from outside, I had a craving for usual Thai, pad see ew and Thai ice tea. After a short wait my food was delivered. The noodle was thicker than I'm usually accustomed. The Thai ice tea was fine. The service was pleasant, value on par and dining room was inviting. Perhaps, I should try another dish on future visit if I'm in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Larb Thai is definitely one of my fave Thai restaurants in the bay! I absolutely love their khao soi. It's rich, sweet, creamy, and spicy. The crispy noodles on the top added some nice texture as well. Also tried their fried tofu today. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; paired with the sauce, the tofu was super addicting! They recommended the kabocha pumpkin curry. It was delicious. The first time I had gone to Larb Thai, I tried their chicken larb as well, and it's one of the best larb I've had. Service was great! Our server noticed I was wearing light colors and recommended I zip up my dark jacket just, so my khao soi didn't stain my sweatshirt underneath. So grateful for her recommendation as I would've definitely got some on my light sweatshirt knowing myself. She also brought over extra napkins without us having to ask. My partner and I were also checked often. The inside is very well decorated. I absolutely love the vibes inside! If you're craving Thai and you're in this area, check out Larb Thai! I would give them a 5/5 in their food, service, and ambiance.

Yelp
Ambiance- casual. Service-fast and friendly staff. Food was delicious. We ordered the following : Fish cake; calamari etc -everything was delicious but you have tell them the level of spicyness.(hot , medium, mild)

Haichuan L.

Yelp
Good taste red curry and fried eggplant. Delicious steaks with Asian flavor. There's also good service in Farmhouse.

Lori L.

Yelp
I enjoyed a delicious Lunch with my friend Judi . I had Drunken noodles, yum! Judi had pad se ew and was not disappointed! The Service was perfect by a young lady with a big smile , hidden by her mask , but her eyes were smiling we will return

Sabrina H.

Yelp
Best Thai I've had in a while, great service. I have dined in and ordered for pickup, it's always consistent!

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Larb is still A+ in my books. It's my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. FOOD: - Khao soi: hands down my favorite dish. I love the different textures with the crispy noodles. A very popular entrée given the reviews! - Dry tom yum noodles: also a popular entrée. I still prefer the khao soi. - Crispy rice salad: so tasty and there are so many different flavors. I wish it came with more lettuce - Lao papaya salad: I order every dish at Larb as medium spicy, but papaya soaks in the spice too well and it felt more like a hot. I am weak, I will get mild next time. SERVICE: - Food comes out quickly! Water is refilled if you ask. ENVIRONMENT: - Great for a casual lunch, very family-friendly. There are a few tables for large groups. Larb no longer offers free Thai iced tea with Yelp check-in.

Odelia F.

Yelp
Food and flavors are insane here!! Be careful of the spice So many exciting dishes to try here that are not just the standard Pad Thai. The flavor combinations on each item we ordered were perfect, and the seasoning was just right. Grilled sticky rice went amazing with every dish. The pork belly and rice skewer was so much fun to eat, adding slivered ginger and red onions to each bite. All the skewers had good smokiness We ordered med spice on the Laos salad and duck larb. Apparently the Laos salad uses fresh chilis which are blow you head off spicy!! The duck larb used dried chilis so the spice level was palatable

Julie M.

Yelp
Loved this place - so so good. Pictured are the Fried Taro with peanut sauce, beef Pumpkin Curry (spicy but shut-up, worth my lips burning ) the pork drunken noodles, and to wash it all down. Thai tea (I am so predictable) and my husband had the Arnold Palmer which consisted of half Thai tea/half lemonade (hand it over refreshing) The location isn't "standout gorgeous" on the outside but once you walk in, it was clean and updated, the staff was attentive, food was brought out quickly and they kept checking in on us. We finished it all, which is usually a good sign. A definite MUST GO BACK!

Parinya W.

Yelp
Very delicious! Authentic taste! Took me back to Thailand in an instant! We ordered spicy pork liver salad, spicy beef salad, fried fish cakes, Esan sausages, dried tomyum noodles, pork skewers, sticky rice. Spicy pork liver salad was so tasty. Soft, creamy and super rich! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to try authentic and hard to find Thai cuisine. Paired super well with sticky rice. 10 out of 10! Spicy beef salad was also great but shine less bright than the spicy pork liver salad. 9 out of 10! Dried tomyum noodles, was very good as well. Not as authentic, but very hard to find evnen in the Bay Area. 8.5 out of 10. Fried fish cakes, esan sausages, were ok. The pork skewers weren't so impressive. Too big, too Americanized for its own good. Staffs were friendly, and the restaurant is cozy with retro 1960ish theme decor. *We ordered so many dishes but it was so good that I forgot to take pictures.

Hanh T.

Yelp
So good !! Came across this place on a whim and decided to try it ! The Thai papaya salad was so good but medium was too spicy for me lol mild next time for sure . The crispy rice salad was delish 5/5 we also got the pork shoulder skewers and chicken ones. The fermented pork one was not our fav . The Thai tea with soy was delish !!! I did wish they had dessert though . Prices are reasonable ! Friendly service as well :)

Jay R.

Yelp
Best place for Thai food! You know it's authentic when you're a spicy food fan and can't handle their spiciest level! Also, their fried taro is to die for! Service is ok. I had ordered online, but they don't take payment online. For bigger orders, they may call you to confirm your order before they cook it, so keep your phone handy. Dining there is nice too. It gives not too fancy, but not trashy. They use these tin cups that make the experience feel more authentic. The bathroom has a code. It's relatively clean in there, and you'll find some interesting posters up. Parking sucks. You might have to find street parking.

Yelp
The best authentic Thai restaurant.... Dare I say... IN THE BAY AREA. No fusion blah blah, this is the place to go for delicious authentic Thai food cooked and served by a great Thai family. Try it, you will be amazed. Have a specific heat level you want? Tell them... They make it right. Enjoy!

Robert M.

Yelp
Our family's goto place for Thai. Have had every dish on the menu over the years---you name it and it is in the top 10% for Thai dishes. The larb dishes are excellent. Favorites: Larb Chicken, Larb Pork, Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai and Garlic&Pepper beef. Service is great. Dining is relaxing and take out is optional.

Johnny D.

Yelp
Larb has always been tasty, but over time, I have seen the portions greatly shrink. I purchased the larb prawn salad today, which should have been an embarrassment for them to serve. The pictures attached are what they served me with a smile! Sorry, Larb, this may be my last time spending hard earned money to get a 3 bite salad for $15.99. Thanks, but no thanks!

Cuong T.

Yelp
Ordered a ton of food here once for about $80. Pad kee mao and rice crispy salad were so good I got I ordered it again for $40 (with some calamari). First time I ordered there was a chicken bone in my tom kha gai so that put me off. The flavors were so damn fucking good though that I HAD to come again. Will put more deets later. 8/10, would def order again.

Orawan S.

Yelp
So craving Thai E-san foods and this place popped up in my mind. Ordered too much food but can finished-'em all. Nam Kaow Tod(Crispy Rice Salad) is my favorite and recommended. All the foods taste good and the service was excellent.

Charlene L.

Yelp
This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. There's limited indoor seating so we often do takeout. Prices are reasonable. We love their pad thai, drunken noodles, green curry, and larb salads. I personally wasn't a fan of their dry tom yum noodles but it's pretty popular.

Elle R.

Yelp
I'm going to be brutally honest and expose myself here - I have NEVER had Thai food before coming here. I always thought that I hated curry because I wasn't very fond of the smell, but boy was I wrong. A friend of mine had recently convinced me to come here with her and I am very glad that I did. She is a huge fan of Thai food and this is her favorite place so I knew I could trust it. After studying the menu extremely carefully, we split the Basil Rice Dish and Yellow Curry and I got a Thai iced tea to drink. It was AMAZING. The egg on top was cooked perfectly and the curry was delicious and not too spicy. I will say, beware of the spice level because they can really throw in the heat if you want it. Thankfully, the servers are very patient in explaining the menu and they didn't make me feel bad for being a baby that can't handle spice (even though my friend did). We got to sit and talk for long time and the servers checked up on us quite often and replenished our water when we needed. The place may look like a whole in the wall from the outside but inside is very comfortable and relaxing. Larb Thai is an absolutely wonderful restaurant with exceptional food and I am dying to go back.

Melissa L.

Yelp
Best Thai food spot in Bay Area. Hands down. I wish every Thai food restaurant tasted this good. The pumpkin curry is so delicious.

Amy T.

Yelp
Heard a lot of good things about this place in a small plaza in El Cerrito and had to check it out. You can place your order ahead on their website but be warned, some prices may vary from what you see on the website which is why I'm guessing that they have you pay in person - cash/VISA/Mastercard. Staff is friendly and accommodating, and they actually answer their phone! Coconut Chicken Soup (Chicken Tom Kha) $7.50 - I had the cup size which is small but great for one person. Pretty good, a bit sweet for my liking. They use the seafood straw mushrooms. Chicken is chicken breast and super dry, one piece still had a small sharp bone in it. Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) $13.95 - really good!! Not as sweet as some other places which I like, a lot more savory. Good portions. My only comment is that I heard traditionally there should be Chinese broccoli in this, which isn't included - in case, that matters to you. Chicken Pad Thai $13.95 - "just okay" according to my sister.

Kris B.

Yelp
Great Thai place for a quick and delicious lunch!! Their bowl of coconut chicken soup was the perfect serving size as a starter and I also ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai. Pad Thai was tasty and came with 6 giant shrimp. I'm a big shrimp fan and I could only eat 3. Such an embarrassment to shrimp lovers everywhere, I feel like I let you down.... Service was friendly and swift. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!

Pete A.

Yelp
I should've visiting my aunt I was hungry and I was hoping I would find a good restaurant nearby. Well I did. My servers name was Jee, she was friendly, fast and efficient. I ordered my food and it came out fairly quickly. I will say this I am glad I ordered mild because they like to put the flavors in here. Small parking lot but there's also street parking. Went in for lunch. Get seated fairly quickly. Not a large place but it's clear this is likely a local favorite

Rebecca N.

Yelp
We've been here or had takeout from here easily 30 times or more. Delicious food every time, and friendly owners and staff. Definitely worth a stop when you're nearby. So many delicious vegetarian foods (and they're happy to make items without egg too, just ask). We especially love the tofu crispy rice ball salad, served with lettuce leaves so you can make little hand held rolls/scoops.

Alice H.

Yelp
I recently dined at Larb Thai Food & Tapas in Albany and had their Green Curry. The dish was customizable with a choice of meat and came with broccoli, eggplant, green beans, and basil, served alongside fried egg and Jasmine rice. The portion size was good, and the meal left me feeling comfortably satisfied. The flavors of the curry were well-balanced, and the attentive service and pleasant ambiance added to the overall experience.

Goose B.

Yelp
This is a very strong 5 star review...this place is probably my favorite dining experience in my area. I'm a pretty simple dude at this point, been to chez panisse 20 years ago (I still remember the Cardoon Soup...it was THAT good). I've had some very good meals in hoity toity type of environments, but for real? The best meals I've had are from the soil...down to earth food...I imagine that Larb Thai's type of food would be on the streets of Thailand, in the best way. The folks there have ALWAYS been warm and kind to me, and the service is friendly and efficient. I will gladly spend my hard earned cash supporting a business like these folks' on that, but the food is really just special. Please don't be afraid to explore the menus at places like this...Thai food is SOOO much more than pad Thai (what my niece got on my last trip a couple days ago, its was darn good...lol). Thanks Larb Thai...you are great.

Andre P.

Yelp
My go to place for larb. Authentic taste, reasonably priced, service is fast and staff is friendly . The crispy rice ball salad is my favorite from the menu.

Niharika K.

Yelp
Ate here for my birthday, it was great! The taro rolls were delicious. And the dish I had was great too. Would love to visit again. I made the mistake of getting the homemade sweet and sour sauce, which my stomach didn't like. Otherwise, great food

Asher A.

Yelp
Ordered pad Thai noodles and papaya salad, not good, $30, pricey and very disappointing. Are these reviews for real??

Sandy M.

Yelp
Came here on Friday, about 20 minutes before closing. We were given water and menus after we were seated immediately. The water cup is some kind of silver metal cup and it's very cold to the touch and super pretty! We decided to order a whole bunch of stuff to try. We started with the hot and sour shrimp soup, which is like a tom yum soup. We had grilled coconut sticky rice, 2 marinated chicken thigh, Lao papaya salad, larb beef (both medium spicy), red curry with chicken, and pad see ew with beef. Hot and Sour Shrimp 1/5: this was not good at all. There was no flavor - not sour, no umami flavor. The soup has some mushroom, cherry tomato, and shrimp. This usually has quartered tomatoes, lemongrass, some places have jalapeños. The soup was very plain. Grilled Coconut Sticky Rice 4/5: you can taste the grill flavor and it catches you a little off guard. Love the crunch it has and that you can really taste the coconut sticky rice. Marinated chicken thigh skewer 3/5: pretty standard flavor, a little on the sweet side, not bad. Lao Papaya Salad 4/5: there's good flavor (sour and spicy. We ordered a medium and there was so many peppers inside. If there were less green beans, I'd like it more. It also has some eggplant and cherry tomatoes. Larb Beef 2/5: this was not sour enough and there wasn't enough rice powder. The minced beef wasn't minced enough, and it was basically clumps of beef. We ordered this medium spicy as well, but there was no pepper in here. Pad See Ew 2/5: the noodles were clumpy (short small pieces) and it was very sweet. It didn't have the "wok" flavor either. Red curry with chicken 4/5: it was interesting that there was a fried egg on top, but the red curry was on point. We ordered it medium spicy again and it does have a little kick to it but you can still taste the curry flavor. The curry thickness was perfect as it coated everything well and gave it flavor. I actually used this to eat with the pad see ew to mask the sweetness. There were some good and some bad dishes, but overall a pretty solid place.

Nora W.

Yelp
Always consistent and excellent food." Food here is always consistent and very flavorful. I love spicy food and the fact that they can make it to your liking if you ask the temperature or your spiciness you likings.

Nikki V.

Yelp
Over priced and the food wasn't that good. Fried quail was really salty and lacking flavor. Sticky rice was hard and seemed old? it was not good. Drunken noodles was the only thing that was ok. That Luang Kitchen off 23rd was closed so we decided to try this spot. We won't be back.

Yannie W.

Yelp
Food is amazing and authentic, services was friendly. We ordered the basil chicken rice and turnip cake with bean sprouts

Jerry C.

Yelp
Larb Thai Food & Tapas popped up while searching Yelp for a Thai restaurant near my parents' home. At first I thought it was the Larb Thai near me in FL, but it's in El Cerrito! How could I have missed it? Larb Thai is a small restaurant (maybe 7 tables) in a small strip mall. But it's large on authentic and bold flavors of Northeastern Isan Thailand cuisine! It does pretty busy takeout and delivery from what we could see. My dad and I got a table and tried the namesake Larb with Prawns. We ordered medium spicy and it was perfect for us even though I still started to sweat. The mixture of spices and ingredients was bursting with individual flavors and combined to a great harmony of exquisite Thai taste. The lettuce leaves definitely helped cool things down. This was probably ranked among the best Larb I've had outside of my Thai friends making it at home. We also shared Thai Boat Beef Noodle Soup and while it wasn't the best I've ever had, with a bit less pronounced spices and earthiness, it was still good. After watching Thai customers eating and enjoying themselves, we looked at what they ordered. We know what we want to try the next time! The staff were friendly and personable, making sure we enjoyed our time. Good service!

Hank F.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant yesterday with a friend and we had a real feast. The skewers of salmon teriyaki, black mushrooms, grilled chicken, and eggplant were all really excellent. The mushroom larb was beautifully seasoned and also really delicious. The chicken coconut soup was wonderful, and so was the hot and sour shrimp soup. I don't really like hot spicy food, and so the hot and sour soup was surprisingly good for me. We also try the turnips special and it was very scrumptious. I can't wait to come back.

Joe R.

Yelp
I was here a year ago, and returned today for another great meal. This time, I tried the Beef Larb. It was so good! Excellent service again too! What a place!

Heliana M.

Yelp
Lovely place. Friendly and prompt service. Clean bathrooms. Food is flavorful tasty but quite spicy so watch out. We shared larb as well as red curry with chicken. Fiery but delish. Will be back for more!

Derek S.

Yelp
Came by for dinner the other night and it was a tasty experience. Staff were all wearing masks and some even more thin tight nitrile gloves. Started off with the Pad See Ew Beef and it was tasty, although a touch sweet. The beef was well done and pretty rough... The dish had some decent wok hey and the flat rice noodles were pretty fresh. The gai lan was half cooked and pretty crunchy. The pork shoulder Skewer was the highlight of the meal as it definitely reminded me of Thailand. The pork shoulder was pretty fatty and well marinated with a nice char from the grill. Staff was friendly and checked up on the table throughout the meal. $25 for dinner including tax and gratuity. They take credit cards

Sam X.

Yelp
Love this little Thai place in a non-descript strip mall in one of those non-descript towns just outside of Berkeley. They can make anything on the menu vegetarian. We had the vegetarian small bites- both the fried taro and the fried tofu were tasty and greaseless and came with a flavorful dipping sauce. The Larb crunchy tofu is a family favorite- we like it better with Romaine than raw cabbage, which they sometimes use. Cute atmosphere, family friendly, local favorite and easy parking . Check it out

Clifford W.

Yelp
Ate here because of increased ratings. Restaurant is next to Thai grocery, so I expect food is fresher than normal Thai restaurants. Ordered 1/2 lemon roasted chicken. It was very salty marinated with soy sauce. Probably if Larb had bbq chicken with sweet chili sauce. The thai beef boat noodle was think brown gravy with overcooked noodles. Boat noodles are suppose to be blanch in boiling water al dente and soup with meats accompiments thrown in. After tasting, I think food is average. The interior looks clean. Service was relatively good. Ambiance none as this is a small diner in strip mall. Overall, 3 stars out of 5

Yelp
I ordered the dry tom yum noodles with medium spicy and it's pretty dang spicy. I'd honestly recommend a spice level lower for those with a medium spice tolerance. I never typically order anything outside of the pad thai, pad see ew, and pad kee mao realm so I was excited to try this. It looked really great on pics! It came with a bowl of soup which was a great neutralizer for the spice and 2 fried wonton? crackers which elevated the dish. I forgot to saw no liver in my dish but I had liver for the first time and am not a fan so I'd skip that next time. The staff were really friendly too! I'm only giving it a 4 stars though because the table I sat in was a bit sticky. Maybe it's the table quality because I've watched the staff clean the table prior to being seated. Asides from this, I'd recommend this place to anyone craving for thai! Tip: They accept Mastercard and Visa for card payments.

Yelp
The first time I patronized this restaurant they were out of chicken as a choice. The second time I ordered takeout online. My order included kabocha pumpkin curry with chicken. When I got home and opened the dish they had given me tofu instead. The food is good, but both times I was disappointed in their competence.

Yelp
I finally got back to Larb Thai, to do a proper review. I opted for inside sit-down dining. Lunchtime on a Monday was very busy. I ate by myself. I really wanted my lovely wife to join me. Paul quickly greeted me, checked to make sure I had my COVID test card, and got a menu to me. He was friendly, smiling, and had great suggestions. The place was very clean. Though this is Thai food, I after talking to him I figured out and he confirmed it is ISAAN area style food Which without borders goes from Northern Thailand into Southern Laos. The kind you find way up in the northeast corner of the country. Many influences from Laos. But the offer the usual and popular dishes from all over Thailand. During the Vietnam war, I spent time in that area. I know the food. I had the rice ball salad. What a wonderful surprise having that reminded me. Loads of crunch, and mint, and peanuts, and spears of fresh baby romaine leaves. I was even looking at the noodles that the people next to me were eating. Everything looked delish and fresh. The young lady that served me was fast and efficient. I think she might be one of the owners. She was super busy like Paul with double duty. Running between lunch service inside and the takeout table as a counter they set up in the other doorway for walk up. THEY WERE BUSY. But both made sure my order came fast and that I was pleased. Great service. I say the food is traditional and tasty. When they ask mild or spicy, I said mild, and it was. They gave me the condiment rounder to play with the flavors. I would be glad to return. Quality always tells all.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant in a tiny plaza, right next to a thai market. Don't miss it, and bring your small car if you do because the parking is tight. The service was good and the ladies working were kind and so cute. We got papaya salad- the laos version. I like this better. saltier, stinkier, more fish sauce/shrimp paste feel. I've been digging the laos version of everything lately lol chicken heart skewer, rice cake skewer, fermented pork belly skewers- they were okay. I personally like chicken heart but I think Iwould have been ok skipping all of them. Duck larb- excellent some curry pad see ew or drunken noodle (Iforgot) Overall the food was excellent. I'm guessing this place is known for their larb, and Idon't order this often so I don't know if it's the way it's supposed to be. But they offer several types of larb so if you like that, try it!
