One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Honestly, incredible food and service throughout. My partner and I both had the chicken to start - delicious. Never had pickled radish before, but they were incredible. I followed up with the blooming onion risotto, and my partner with the steak and ale pie. I’ve had a lot of risottos over the years, but this was probably the best ever. The artichoke oil was the perfect addition to a fantastic dish. The pie was more like a Shepard’s pie, with mash on top, but was also incredible - she’s a northerner, so she knows her pies. Finally, I ended with the second best tiramisu I’ve ever had (sorry, but Portobello’s in Tamworth still holds the top spot), and she had the chocolate fondant.

Highly recommended. Our steaks were delicious and the service was excellent. The choux pastry dessert was a real treat. We were here for a birthday celebration, and the personalised card was a lovely touch. Larder has a good atmosphere, an attractive environment and attentive, friendly service.

The food was very very good. Rich but extremely tasty. The best steak I have ever had I think. So soft and juicy and the Madeira sauce was great. Only have for stars for atmosphere because of an over loud group on the next table

Never had a better Sunday dinner anywhere else. The food here is incredible! I’ve been coming here for a long time now and every single time, it’s been a hit! Although prices have increased over time, this is to be expected given the current economic climate. But it’s worth every penny. Definitely recommend trying the beef dinner.

The garlic prawn linguine was out of this world delicious ! If you only have this dish you won't be disappointed, however we went the whole hog and had 3 courses. Each dish was flavoursome and beautifully presented by our waitress Nicky. Nicky was fun and chatty without being intrusive. It was our 10th Wedding Anniversary treat to ourselves. The staff knew this, so they gave us a card with a handwritten ' Happy 10th Anniversary' message, which was a really nice touch. We really enjoyed our meal and when in Lichfield, we will be back. Highly recommended.

Having been 3 or 4 times in the past, I've always had excellent meals here. But it seems something has changed. The menu was so basic and uninspiring, more like what I'd expect in a pub. We ended up getting the fixed price menu as there was nothing interesting on the main menu. So it was a really tasteless deep fried prawn cocktail as starter, and roast turkey for main. I wasn't really looking for a Sunday roast style meal, but the other options were even less appealing. It was passable as "okay" at best, but as basic food it wasn't even cooked well - e.g. sprouts were not cooked. Turkey was fine, parsnip nice, gravy nice. But basic and boring, I can have this at home. This was a rare date where we left our 3 year old with parents to come for a nice meal in a place we thought we were guaranteed good food. So overall a real let down, and I wish we'd spent that precious time we don't get often somewhere else. Sadly I likely won't be back unless I hear they've returned to the previous standard.

A great welcome by the staff, the food was outstanding and the cocktails were stunning. The staff were attentive and friendly and took pride in their work. Would 100% recommend to anyone, it was the perfect venue for our date night.
