Laredo Taqueria

Is there a sign outside indicating that this is a restaurant, no. Is there a menu on the wall, no. Is there anything near the ordering area to tell you what you're ordering or how much it costs, no. Is the line of people ordering wrapped around the restaurant, YES! This is that amazing hole in the wall taco place everyone knows about but can't tell you where it is, but have to show you. Everything on the inside is neat and clean. You see the employees bringing out bags of fresh, sealed, ingredients to constantly restock the food. The only real downside is that unless you know what's ready or what's being cooked, you could miss out. I was about to order when one of my friends told me to wait until the carne guisada was done cooking. When I asked how he knew, he pointed to a pot in the back of the kitchen and said, that's it, they haven't brought it out yet. The carne guisada was amazing, but, I would have missed it all together has it not been for him. This is the only reason I would give it 4 stars. Unless you're in the know, you don't know what you're missing cuz there's no menu for newcomers people like me!

Roy and his brother are so attentive to all needs the waitstaff is awesome been going here for almost 30 years and don't have any complaints at all about this place. It's a great place to get food to go or sit down and enjoy. Everyone is friendly and give great service. Very much recommend Laredo Taqueria.

I was hungry and googled Taquerias near me. This Taqueria had the best reviews for the area. The food is absolutely amazing. The service was wonderful. The only thing I don’t like, is I live so far away. Guarantee anytime I’m in this area. This will be my go to

This is tough to write. It's a neighborhood favorite. Today we stopped for lunch. We ordered 3 tacos each with a drink. Five Fajita tacos and a pork (wanted to try something different) As I was eating my pork taco by friend said his fajitas were chewy and contained gristle. I tried my mind and opened the tortilla to find most of the "fajita" had large pieces of fat and gristle. I eat tacos, lots of them. This is not beef fajitas aka beef skirt. It looks like an inexpensive cut of beef. There is more to write about service or lack of and the total experience but like I said at the beginning it was tough to write. I am not here to bash a small business but rather to let them know when they sacrifice quality to save a few cents it is quite noticeable.

Legit Tex Mex in Houston. The Carne Guisada and Fideo are just like homemade. Salsa always has a kick to it. Good breakfast options too.

Amazing food you will find no better. The owners are great people and the staff is super friendly.

If you haven’t tried their tacos you have to, one of our favorite places for tacos. Flower tortillas are delicious, mole, chicharrón rojo & asado is a must.

If you grew up on the northside like me then you know about Laredo Taqueria three locations in total, the one on Washington is a nightmare too long of line stay away from that one seriously if you know you know. This morning, I was craving breakfast tacos, so I had to stop. Walked in, four people ahead of me no problem. The music was already hitting, waking me up and taking me back to quinceañera days dancing to the Kumbia Kings. Line moved quick and I ordered a Barbacoa taco with beans (lol no cheese I don't put cheese on every taco, I know shocking), and i got a Sausage, egg, beans, and cheese taco (sorry but eggs require cheese don't judge me). The lady taking my order must've felt my vibe because she hooked it up. I couldn't help but look at her and hit her with the opening line from Na Na Na: "Chiquilla, te quiero vas a ser mi dulce niña!" I was a big fan of the group back in the days lol. Sat down, first up: the barbacoa. It was ok not amazing and it needed salt (most barbacoa tacos do). What really hurt my corazón was No pico, no onion, no cilantro. Big bummer. Next up: the sausage & egg. This one's always my safe bet anywhere, and it did not disappoint. Could've used a touch of salt, but still solid. Definitely recommend it but add cheese please. If you haven't tried Laredo Taqueria put it on the list and if you stop by put on some Kumbia Kings for memories if you're old like me. One of my tacos had hair in it,when I called the lady that answered spoke no english,a friend that did speak English explained what happened and the lady hung up. They will hear from me when I go by next time. Not to buy food , but to let then know thats no business wise to hang up on a customer.

I can't believe I've never written a review for Taqueria Laredo. I've been coming here for years and this place has some of the best breakfast tacos you can find! They have homemade tortillas, which they roll out in full view while you wait in line. Taco fillings are cafeteria style, and they will ask if you want beans on your taco. White melty cheese is available if you ask for it. My favorite fillings are the spicy green eggs and the eggs with nopales. They speak a little English, so you don't have to be fluent in Spanish to eat here. The parking lot is small and the line can be long, but they get people through pretty quickly.

So I've gone to all their Laredo, Taqueria, and by far. This one has been the best one. It is smaller. Compared to their other locations and has less variety. But overall tacos are amazing. Just within the last two weeks that I've been off for a winter break. I have gone three times. Their services, very attentive, and quick. I highly recommend on average. Each taco is about four dollar I believe. They only lose one star because parking does suck.

Laredo Taqueria I super highly recommend this place. I only went to one of the places but I think there's three of them but without a doubt I highly recommend this place. I am from California born and raised. This was my first time in Houston and I happened to find this gym. I saw it off the freeway and I already knew I had to go. The ladies are right they're making fresh tortillas, both flour and corn and apparently they always run out of Barbacoa I had to go three times and I had to go in the morning to finally get it and it did not disappoint. All their meats are great. Everything is great. I'm back in California, but I do wish. Maybe they could deliver me some tacos.

I really wanted to like this place. I'll start with the positive, short/no line or wait at 11am on a Monday. Prices were ok, maybe a little high $3/bf taco. Flavor on machacado and egg taco was okay, 3.5. Green salsa was delicious 4.5 Now for the negative, terrible customer service. Lady making the tacos is bitter and has a terrible case of RBF. The guy behind the counter "pelon amargado" is rude. He tried to give me 2 salsas for 3 tacos. I asked for one more and he made it seem like I was asking for him to give me his family pet or something, he throws another salsa in my bag. No greeting or thanks you or anything. Whole in the wall place not worth my patronage.

I have been to many Mexican food places and I have yet to find a better place to eat carne guisada tacos. Their recipe is exact every time, and the meat is so tender and juicy. I really recomend this place. The owners and staff are very good people and great at what they do.

I have been a huge fan of Laredo Taqueria for over 25 years. I absolutely love their fajita and spicy fajita tacos. That is why I choose to go there for lunch. It seems that for some reason they are out of my favorite taco half the time I stop in. I was told they run out of fajita because it is popular. So I come early. Nope still don't have any. I have come to the conclusion that they are rationing this item as it is more costly than the other items. If you want Fajita tacos go to the Washington location. I have never been there when they did not have the complete menu available. The young men working the cash register are very friendly. The lady making tacos always has an attitude. Maybe it is because she knows I want fajitas.

They have good tacos they have home made flour tortillas and the lemonade is really good there.

I travel from Humble it's over 20 min drive. That good!!! The flour tortillas are just like mom made.

So we come here when in town, and I have to say that they have some tacos here. First they are huge and with two you are more than good. They offer a variety of Mexican meats and breakfast options like guisado, chicharron, huevo and all that good stuff. They also serve plates so if you are more of a person that likes to have your food served instead of rolled up. Come check them out you will leave satisfied, now they do have multiple locations and the difference is the cooks each of them have there own thing going on.

Been eating tacos from Laredo for what feels like forever. Best green sauce around, be careful with it.(it gets a little warm) I love their chicharron verde and the spicy sausage, those are my go to's. You can't go wrong with just about anything here though. Oh, I almost forgot! Get some Fideo! I prefer the location on Snover for nostalgic reasons, but both locations are amazing!

Best tacos in the northside. Carne guisada tacos are the best, any of their tacos are good and they are big. Favorite place to eat but they aren't your regular dollar tacos. They are about $3 per taco now but it is worth it. They are big tacos.

Go to a Mexican neighborhood and taco restaurants are a dime a dozen. So how does one discern between the good and bad? You don't. You just come here for lunch and breakfast. Their flour tortillas are soft and fresh off the grill. I've tried carne guisada, picadillo con papas, papas con huevo (egg), and barbacoa tacos all with pinto beans. Everything has been carefully seasoned and cooked. The only dish you need to catch early is the papas con huevo because it dries up under the warmer fast, or you can cover it in one of their spicy salsas which are too hot for a baby like me. I caution you, this place will make you want to eat more than you should. It makes me wish I had a bigger stomach!

Some family and friends had been telling us about this place for a while. -The breakfast tacos are really good -I personally liked the plate with puerco. Very tasty -Very good carne guisada too.

There is no better place in Houston, that makes better tortillas (soft and not greasy) than Taqueria Laredo, and the Carne Quisada, rice and beans are the best in Houston!!!!

Awesome tacos. Tortillas are fresh, fluffy and delicious. Service is the worst I ever experienced, slow even when not too busy. Waitress get small mixups on order of at table. Best to order at counter if want quicker service. Why do we put up with it? The food. Awesomeness. And salsa is great too. Owner friendly.

Best tacos in town. I love there fresh tortillas. The only thing is there service is sometimes good and sometimes ok. But is worth it. It makes up because the food is so good. I would definitely recommend this place.

I'm a San Antonio native. I've lived here for 14 years and have never found a place that serves fluffy flour tortillas like back home. They are dime a dozen in San Antonio but for some reason a lot of Houston restaurants serve thin greasy tortillas but not this place. So good. The carne guisada is spot on! Good old fashion gravy. I will be back to try the enchiladas. Breakfast tacos and the rice were delicious.

Took my wife their for breakfast Today was our anniversary Boy I'm sorry I took her there No service. Was told take a seat and we will be there. 20 minutes later and lots of looks from staff before I stood up to get help. I guess the manager who was dressed like a astro player told me he was sending someone. Never happened. Can't review food never got a menu. Won't be back. Sucks I heard good things about this place

I absolutely love this place, but have recently been so disappointed. I have found a hair in my tacos twice in the past month. It upsets me because i LOVE the tacos from here, i even drive 17 minutes for lunch to pick up tacos! My obsession for this place must die down because i can't take another hair in a $2.25 taco again! its a waste of money!
