Lares De Chacras

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. There’s a reason why it’s rated best of the best on TA! Everything from the location to the accommodations and amenities, but most of all the hotel staff, make this place excellent. ||We stayed for four nights and I did not want to leave! The room was so well appointed and incredibly clean. It had a balcony that faced out onto the pool in the backyard and received the most brilliant sunlight in the afternoons. ||As for the staff, Ximena is spectacular and practically served as our personal travel agent! She helped me over a couple of weeks to plan our itinerary and recommended incredible wineries and restaurants for us to visit — as well as a bike rental. I cannot thank her enough for her guest service, wonderful suggestions, and patience with me! If you have any questions or requests, she will do anything in her power to make your trip amazing.||I also must thank Nico and Jose at the front desk, Augustin and Tomas for driving us to various places, and all of the Lares restaurant wait staff. We had a truly fabulous experience thanks to all of their care and hard work. We certainly hope to return one day!

I cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay for our 2 night stay in Mendoza. This place is just so beautiful and peaceful. The entire staff made sure that we were always comfortable and taken care of. Breakfast and Dinners were wonderful and convenient.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Lares De Chacras! The hotel is extremely cozy and quiet. A true relaxation in paradise. The room was clean and very large. The staff were very helpful, kind, and accommodating. In advance of our stay, they were very responsive and helped us book activities. During our stay, they were helpful in recommending places to eat and more. As a note, Chacras de Coria is a very small town, with not much to do. But you can easily Uber or taxi to Mendoza City.

First, I would like to start off by saying that this review does not represent quality of service. The staff at Lares were exceptional from answering my every email, whatsapp message, room service, and arranging wineries. The service at the hotel is 10/10. It also comes with tasty empanadas, a gorgeous wine cellar, and cozy fireplaces. The common areas and lounge areas were cute. It seemed as if most of the investment went to the common areas and not the room.||Why a “2”. I based my rating on the overall room condition, curb appeal, and location.||The quality of the room stay (comfort of the beds, linens, room temperature, curtains, and bathroom) does not hold up to standard. Yes the hotel is intended to be a small, more bed and breakfast type stay but the quality of the room really needs to be improved. The room (superior room) is extremely old and smelly. There are plug-in glades throughout the hotel...||The room is very clean (no dust, corners are detailed) but the room itself is still yucky. The room flooring is nice and clean but the furnishing is old and requires a total makeover. The beds are not comfortable and the sheets smell of bleach. I had to cover my nose the entire night while asleep and my husband was very miserable based on the condition of the room. ||The bathroom was cold and the shower was tiny. My husband had an old towel replaced which appeared to be blood-stained. He became so miserable he decided to sleep in that night to pass time rather than a night on the town. The bathroom needs a redo - the tiling, shower fixtures, and bathtub and sinks are out of the 70/80’s to be generous.||The hotel shares a driveway with other homes and lacks curb appeal (trash and trash cans upon entering the gate), And while I do love animals, there was a large barking dog and also construction noise next door.||This hotel is ranked number one in Mendoza on Trip Advisor and is also in the Michelin guide. However, I think a number one rating is questionable based on the condition of the superior room (maybe the other rooms are renovated?)....||Fortunately, the hotel was fully booked so we switched hotels to stay at La Maria, a new hotel in Chacras which was quite exceptional.||@sealucianafly

Great stay; all the staff are professional, friendly, and willing to serve. They handled a variety of guests, their languages, and their situations with aplomb. Wooded, rustic, cozy feel. Great fresh breakfasts, including an artistic non-egg hash browns I requested.

Couldn’t rate this place highly enough. The staff are just so helpful - booked the spa and all the vineyards for us! The room was so cosy with an open fire and food at the hotel was also amazing. Would come back any day - particularly for the breakfast :)

This charming boutique hotel is just a stones throw from the town of Chacras on the outskirts of Mendoza. Mendoza has around 1600 vineyards, and around half offer tours, this small town is in the heart of the wine region with vineyards located within walking/cycling distance as well as larger ones accessible by taxi (or the hotel offers a chauffeured MPV subject to availability) |The rooms are spacious and delightful with log burning stoves for the chillier months and all the comforts you require. Breakfast is plentiful with a hot menu as well as an extensive cold buffet. We chose to eat in on our first night and we were not disappointed, the food was delicious. |There is a small but clean heated pool with ample seats.|The best thing about Lares to Chacras though are the staff! From advice on vineyards to arranging bookings, nothing was too much trouble. |Special thanks to Mariana, Ximena, Nicolas and the lovely lady who served us every morning with such grace (sorry I didn't get her name.)

So glad we found this place! Quiet and peaceful location steps from town. Spacious room with a great balcony, excellent restaurant, and service was fantastic. Jemina was so helpful in booking recommended wineries. Do not miss El Enemigo, unique and beautiful with great wines.

What a comfortable and welcoming boutique hotel in Mendoza. Just a short 35 minute drive for Mendoza Airport, you're greeted by the staff like they are welcoming you home. This is a gated hotel with 24 hour monitoring. A good feeling of security. With a very easy checkin, the staff member carried our bags to room 5. Spacious and comfortable. Very well appointed, comfortable bed and an amazing rain shower, shower. A/C and heat are individually controlled. In room safe was also provided. We had a wonderful view of the back area overlooking the pool and jacuzzi. Guests are very respectful of the quiet surroundings. Breakfast is includes with both a choice of continental style as well as some hot selections of egg dishes. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but if breakfast is any indication, it won't disappoint. It's located an easy walk to the town center of Chacras de Coria which has an abundance of shops as tasty restaurants. The staff is eager to help with restaurant recommendations/reservations, taxi calls, wine tours, bicycle rentals with an abundance of bike paths. Lastly but importantly, the staff here is just fantastic. Always helpful and kind. We would like to specifically thank Laura for her helpfulness, kindness, professionalism and hospitality. She was our point person from start to finish. She was great! All in all, if we were to return to Mendoza, this would be our go to home away from home. Many thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Yes this is generous review as it is one of the first. But, my wife and I had an incredible experience. We ate at the restaurant one night and had a great meal. Another night we came home lit up from our prior adventures and we were able to open up bottles of wine in their living room like lobby. The feeling of this place is like staying at your rich friends finca, not a hotel. Fabulous. Will stay again.

This is a very nice property located well outside of downtown Mendoza. There are several restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk, which is nice. And the property has a wine cellar that you can select your wines from and have it charged to your room. The rooms are nice, but one of the rooms we stayed in had a broken AC unit, which wasn't great.
