Lares de Chacras (Mendoza, Argentina) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Mendoza, Argentina’s celebrated wine region, is the kind of place where you spend most of your time out exploring: wine tasting, vineyard lunches, hiking in the foothills of the Andes. Lares de Chacras is an ideal place to base yourself, offering a great breakfast and a restful atmosphere to return to after a day out. There’s strong coffee and pastries to start, a shaded swimming pool for a late afternoon dip, and a charmingly rustic stone fireplace where a fire crackles after dark. Guest rooms are simple and quiet, with wood-beamed ceilings and indigenous artwork; several feature a private balcony or terrace — and a restaurant specializing in steaks and Patagonian lamb means you won’t have to venture out again at night." - Tablet Hotels

It's a nice boutique resort. The room is spacious and clean and you can access the swimming pool right from your patio. What's more, every staff is super nice. They speak good English and will always try their best to help you. They make you feel welcomed and always carry a bright smile. Be sure not to miss the wine tasting everyday at 6:30pm. The restaurant is a must try. The Empanada is the best I've tasted during my trip. The union soup is hearty and the steak is delicious. Breakfast is another highlight. They have freshly squeezed juice, fruits and made to order eggs and toasts. My heartfelt tribute to the morning team who's so kind to make me an Empanada during breakfast as I had to depart at 9am for my flight back home. I'm so glad to stay in this hotel

This hotel is absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to go back at some point. It only had 16 rooms in total on the entire property and it felt so welcoming and cozy there. Super peaceful sitting in the outdoor areas or by the pool which was nice after doing wine tastings. The entire staff was excellent and many of them gave me great recommendations during my stay. The location of the hotel is also amazing if you are focusing mostly on visiting wineries as it's situated in one of the main wine areas and also makes it a bit closer to Uco Valley which is the further south.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Lares. The staff, without exception, are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We bought a bottle of wine from a local winery during a wine tour and the staff were more than happy to open it and let us drink it with a charcuterie and cheese plate ordered from their menu. There is also a daily complimentary wine tasting of one of their restaurant’s house wines which is a nice gesture. The village of Chacras de Coria has many cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful with fresh pastries, bread, fruit, cereals and eggs made to order. The lady helping with breakfast service was particularly cheerful and helpful. This is a great little hotel with a small pool and several places to sit and relax both inside and outside. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed for three nights at this lovely, low-key hotel situated in beautiful wine country. The hotel is clean, well-kept, and quiet; the staff are friendly and attentive. We enjoyed breakfast, wine tastings, and a wonderful dinner during our stay. Tucked away in a pretty neighborhood, the hotel is about ten minutes from many of the best bodegas in Lujan de Cuyo. I highly recommend Lares de Chacras if you intend to visit Mendoza and Lujan de Cuyo. 5/5.

Lares de Chacras is gorgeous, like a sanctuary as soon as you walk in. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with our wine itinerary and made all the wine tasting reservations for us. The grounds, the pool, the room were all spectacular. The food at breakfast and dinner were great. Close walking distance to a quaint town with nice restaurants. We truly loved our stay and highly recommend Lares de Chacras!

Lovely calm and peaceful boutique hotel with 5* service - with professional staff with a high level of attention to detail and personal service. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious too! Well located to tour the Malbec wineries and also short walk into the local town of Chacras. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful experience all around. Located in the centre of town but on a silent street, Lares is an excellent choice. The staff are charming. Rooms are big and beautiful. Breakfast is excellent. The pool area is very nice. Excellent value. I will definitely return.

Google
This is a great hotel. It’s walkable to a lot of restaurants and other places in town… however, the best part truly lies outside where in just 3 minutes walk you can find CASA CHACRAS and there you will find THE BEST wine and the best wine tasting experience in all Mendoza - LUPA’s wine and the pink house will leave you in awe by the delicious wine and the luxurious, and yet, “feel at home” vibe it offers! Thank you Lares de Chacras for a good night’s sleep and the perfect location it offers.

Yelp
What a comfortable and welcoming boutique hotel in Mendoza. Just a short 35 minute drive for Mendoza Airport, you're greeted by the staff like they are welcoming you home. This is a gated hotel with 24 hour monitoring. A good feeling of security. With a very easy checkin, the staff member carried our bags to room 5. Spacious and comfortable. Very well appointed, comfortable bed and an amazing rain shower, shower. A/C and heat are individually controlled. In room safe was also provided. We had a wonderful view of the back area overlooking the pool and jacuzzi. Guests are very respectful of the quiet surroundings. Breakfast is includes with both a choice of continental style as well as some hot selections of egg dishes. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but if breakfast is any indication, it won't disappoint. It's located an easy walk to the town center of Chacras de Coria which has an abundance of shops as tasty restaurants. The staff is eager to help with restaurant recommendations/reservations, taxi calls, wine tours, bicycle rentals with an abundance of bike paths. Lastly but importantly, the staff here is just fantastic. Always helpful and kind. We would like to specifically thank Laura for her helpfulness, kindness, professionalism and hospitality. She was our point person from start to finish. She was great! All in all, if we were to return to Mendoza, this would be our go to home away from home. Many thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Yelp
Yes this is generous review as it is one of the first. But, my wife and I had an incredible experience. We ate at the restaurant one night and had a great meal. Another night we came home lit up from our prior adventures and we were able to open up bottles of wine in their living room like lobby. The feeling of this place is like staying at your rich friends finca, not a hotel. Fabulous. Will stay again.

Yelp
This is a very nice property located well outside of downtown Mendoza. There are several restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk, which is nice. And the property has a wine cellar that you can select your wines from and have it charged to your room. The rooms are nice, but one of the rooms we stayed in had a broken AC unit, which wasn't great.
