"Situated in the district of Palaud at the foot of Mont Blanc, this small wine bar with a tranquil ambience serves interesting cuisine prepared by a talented Japanese chef who adds his own personal twist to the valley’s top-quality ingredients. Dishes include a delicate tempura served with tongue or beef, plus some exquisite desserts, while wine is chosen directly from the shelves in the dining room. Booking is recommended in high season." - Michelin Inspector

Superb culinary experience! Small but very creative menu, excellent quality and taste. I love the small details such the steak knife and special spoons. We didn’t try the wines , but there was a fine selection available. The whole family was really impressed by the experience, probably the best dinner during our 7 day stay in Courmayeur.

This restaurant is worthy of a Michelin star. Next to the great selection of wines and good ambiance, I want to give a special mention to the chefs. Their fine creations are amazing. Especially the desserts! ❤️

I am a musician and I played here with my band a few nights ago. The food coming out of the kitchen looked great and smelled divine. I would have loved to be able to order from the menu but musicians are not allowed to do this. We were served a ‘band meal’ which was OK but next time (if ever) I will pay to be able to try the chef’s creations. I did pay for a bottle of the local wine as it also was not available for musicians, only the cheaper bottle. The owner, Luciano, and the staff are molto simpatico. The hotel is very nice and we were given a room there even though it was closed. The armadillo theme is everywhere and lots of fun.

Highly recommended. Two guys who love rock music have created a joint where they play with food. Very good wine list with an original way of presenting it. Needs something to make it five star. It is a place where you either like it or not. No middle way here. If you are in the area it is worth a visit

My group of five people came to L’Armadillo for lunch after taking the skyway up to Monte Bianca in late October. It was incredible - awesome vibe, great music, delicious food, perfect wine to match. The owners were wonderful and made us feel welcome. It was a highlight for us and hope I can go back.

A nicely decorated stylish wine den that played ”dad rock” and blues. Impeccable service coupled with good wine recommendations, timely dishes and no hassle. The food was elegantly plated and would stand up to any quality fine-wine bistro in the cities in terms of quality and flavour. I warmly recommend the octopus ravioli and pork dishes but I expect others to be just as deserving of praise.
