Lafayette Park earns high marks from the Santa Clara City Parks Department and independent travel blogs for its lively atmosphere and diverse recreational facilities. Basketball courts, exercise stations, and a large playground draw people of all ages, while the picnic areas make it a top spot for weekend gatherings. Recent upgrades and community-led improvement projects reflect a commitment to keeping the park vibrant and welcoming.
Randomly found this dog park while running around the university. It feels a little small on the small dog side but the grass is nice and the area was clean. The large dog side looks better for the dogs to play. There weren’t very many other dogs when I went. They are closed on Thursdays.

So glad we found this temporary dog park! Real grass and SHADE from trees. The only down side is not having a water source in the dog park section but now that we know it's easy to bring water. Went around noon on a Wednesday and there were about 5 other dogs to play with. Our new summer dog park for when it's hot!

It's fairly big! And also nearby, so I go there pretty often on weekends. The number of dogs varies a lot, you may run into over 10 dogs or just 1 or 2 dogs from time to time. There are more popular dog parks that are always full of people and dogs.

We had a softball game here last Thursday and the park was nice. There were alot of homeless people around this park, not that they bothered us, but was interesting to see some of them sitting in the bathrooms, which made it a little weird using them. Great field and was fun to play here, but would pick another park next time.

Great dog park for the area with grass and shade. No water source, so bring some and a bowl for your pup.

Nice little stop off of the highway. Not very busy and they offer car charging stations. There's a baseball field and a playground here. I've seen several people walking their dogs 🐕 🤷♀️ Clean bathrooms are available.

Yelp
This is a great little park!!!
Playground for children
Tables for eating
Great place to play catch with your dog
Make a picnic and enjoy it in the sun
They have a baseball field that has games on Saturday and practices on wed nights
Overall I think it's a great little park!!!

Yelp
This is a fairly big park that has a baseball field, dog park, and a playground. I enjoyed a nice run around the field while I was waiting for a friend. It's at an awkward intersection and I missed the entrance twice and had to circle around.

Yelp
Nice park for dogs, the small dogs area is separated from the big dog area so it's pretty safe to use and has a lot of space for them to run around.

Yelp
This is supposed to be a kids park together with a dog park (that has separate enclosures for the dogs) the dog park is closed for maintenance on Thursdays but that doesn't mean anything anyhow when the dog owners are letting their animals run free in the kids areas with no leash whatsoever.
The dogs do their "business" in the kids sand more and no one picks it up or cares.
This is not OK, this park is for children as well not just dogs and animals should be separated and rules followed.
I am scared to bring my child here because of people not following rules, and if you say something you are the bad guy.

Yelp
The best dog park! They have two separate areas for small and large dogs. Both have plenty of shade and lots of space to run. Everyone is friendly and my dog, Charlie, gets so excited every time we pull up.

Yelp
I love this park because it's the doggie's paradise. There usually are people playing baseball or football, but you can always find an open spot to play fetch with the doggie.

Yelp
Really clean and well maintained park in between two busy streets. Lots of grass and a playground for the kids. Has its own parking lot. The most notable thing for me was the bathrooms were super clean and well stocked with toilet paper, automatic soap dispenser, and paper towels. I feel like you don't see that very often in public parks these days!

Yelp
Cute baseball themed playground. Good shade on one bench around 10:00 in the morning. We had the whole park to ourselves. Small two swing set. Fun play structure with multiple sides. Lush green grass. A couple of tears in the squishy pad around the playground. Bathroom was clean and well stocked.

Yelp
came back only a few days after i wrote the original review, and the grass was much less soggy. maybe they'd had a pipe leak or something.
there was a PAL young girls softball game going on, it was a weds night. the game ended about 7 pm, they'd all trickled out by 8:05, when the spot lights over the field abruptly turned off. the lights in the bathroom were still on, and you could still see the playground, if dimly, by the streetlights.

Yelp
This is the closest park to our house. It has a lot of sun and not much to play w. It's okay. Can have some shady characters. However if you want to fly a lot it's excellent and it's pretty clean.
