Larry's - New York Restaurant and Bar Peckham

We enjoyed our food and the service was very good. That aubergine sandwich was supreme. The focaccia was perfectly cooked - crunchy exterior from really good olive oil and with a soft pillowy interior. The Bloody Mary was excellent. My only criticism is that the pasta portion size could be bigger - expect a starter size instead of a mains size.

Great place for divinely different small plates and starter. Selection of wines and beers. A very cool place to hang. Special was a very tasty beef stir fry. I had a pasta ribbons with livery sauce that I could have eaten all day and night. Brill. Go there. It's a gem if you want something less ordinary.

Came here with a friend after hearing good things and it did not disappoint. The cheddar beignets with wild garlic were very tasty. They had a pork belly bun special which was banging! Also the chocolate chip cookie ice cream was so good. Would definitely recommend to come here if you want delicious food and good atmosphere! And the service by Ellie was great! Xx

Delicious food in an intimate setting. Like walking into a cool American diner. The brunch was amazing and the coffee was sublime. Really lovely staff too! Highly recommend it

Decent coffee. I like that the seats had outlets so that you could plug in and work however the tables are too low compared to the seats to work from comfortably. The customer service was somewhat frosty and the guy that I ordered from was quite patronising in his tone and approach towards me so I definitely wouldn’t go back. At the moment there are roadworks directly in front (March 2022) which make it rather very noisy and smelly.

Had a delicious brunch here. Simple menu of sandwiches and pasta. Separate menu for dinner. The hash browns were delicious! Small, NYC diner style restaurant.

Great evening with friends made better with pickle backs! Small plates great for sharing. We ordered the whole menu, it was all delicious!

Enjoyable evening at Larry's. Food - tasty food, all dishes were really nice, potato latkes, pork schnitzel and chocolate sorbet desert were the best dishes. Service - pretty casual and friendly, food came at good times and we were never rushed. Atmosphere - relaxed and enjoyable. Prices - I'm not sure if these are unusual post-COVID prices but the cost is the main issue - £6 for a CAN of pale ale or lager is unacceptable. Wine at ~£10+ for 250ml ON TAP is too much. £14.50 for small plates adds up and £6.50 starter of a few slices of mortadella also seems a bit steep. Overall - I enjoyed the the evening, atmosphere and food however I don't think I'd visit again due to the cost. If I were to spend this much on an evening meal then Artusi or Naughty Piglets would be my pick. Would visit to try the breakfast menu if welcome back :)
