Las Canteras Peruvian Restaurant & Bar

My son and I were the only ones in the restaurant for lunch this past Saturday which concerned us a little however, the food was outstanding! The only reason I am giving it a 3 star rating is because I believe it was a bit OVER PRICED, particularly for a lunch for 2. I have to say, I was a little shocked when charged $6.00 for a single beer.

Every time I've eaten here the food I've had has been good. The lomo saltado ( I order the one with with regular beef and not the sirloin. It's excellent); the ceviche mixto: yum!; papa a la Huancaina...yummy, yummy!

The best peruvian restaurant in the dmv!!! There lomo saltado was delishes, and the portion sizes are perfect. The seco de carne was also really good. but I wasnt a big fan of the aji de gallina (maybe the chicken wasnt organic or something) but over all great food and drinks too!! highly recommended.

Food is above average in this place . I really enjoyed my dinner and I was having a good time until we got the check and 18% gratuity was included for my party of 3... service was good but what makes this people think it was 18% good? The funny part is that I usually tip 20%... anyway I do not recomendamos this place and I will not be going back.

Best Peruvian Food in the DC area hands down. FULL STOP. Everyone else charges the same prices, but these guys are the only ones worth it. Before I came here, flan was the #1 food I hated most. After trying their Guava Flan... I would eat, drink, and bathe in that stuff all day long.

Last Thursday night, my family and I (actually we are native Peruvians) went there. They came all away from NJ, to looking for good peruvian food, the anticuchos were nasty, sudado looks soupy, arroz con pollo was so so, la chicha was anything but not chicha, the inca kola was flat, passion juice was another disappointed, the service was ok, is not their fault. I know that Peru is innovating with fusion but sudado de pescado con leche...come on!!! Never again!!!!

Very expensive and low quality of food. The cebiche had the shrimps with a bad sour ordor and taste. The aji de gallina was colored green and had a heavy chicken smell. No eggs on platter. Very disappointed. Will not be recommending or going back to this place.

My Wide love coming there 1 a year frío New Jersey. The food is flavorful and fresh. The ambiance ia bit dark but it lends its self to the outer atnoaphere and hours of operation. I love the music... it gives my visit and upbeat sound. Overall nice staff.
